Found it! Today I aim to clear out as many caches in Broken Hill and Silverton as I can! At the last cache I was faced with a decision of walking another 500m to get this one or driving round to the other end and walking in from there. With lunchtime approaching I decided it would just be quicker to walk there. Unfortunately this is the second cache in a row that was full of water and the log saturated. I didnt bring any replacements along on the walk with me so hopefully the next finder sees this before they set off and comes prepared. TFTC!

Making our way towards home over the next few weeks travelling with 2 dogs and a cat we have found caching a great way to give the fur babies a break. Stopped in Broken Hill for a few days and toured around with the help of local geocachers taking us to spots that locals know about. Thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining

A brief escape from the old work before starting at the new - this was all miles from the "rat race".The Purrfect one said let's go caching, and Jack came to help out! This was a target - as missed last time we were here. A great walk, once we had found our way a little closer first. (Made up for being muggled by the BH constabulary on the way in last night Surprised ) A cache a day keeps the boredom away... [:o)]Thank you for this cache listing KPKproject and it's ongoing care. Cool------------------------------ Cool ------------------------------CoolBig GrinCoolBig GrinCoolBig GrinCool Caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp ) Purrfect Di helps out a lot. And even Jack. Work gets in the way - and some may take longer to log than others due to mixed technology and need for sleep! The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)] I do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log... someone actually did read to the end and alerted me to just a project GC badge that requires long logs. Is that all? Oh well, thanks for reading!Well at least it's not as bad as finding a mint tin! TwistedDid you get that... stop putting out rusty mint tins, just stop it, now!!! Big GrinMuch catching up of logs lately, as barely enough time to cache around work and logging has hit a pause... but, you know, prioriities... work's just gotta leave time for a cache Wink and notes everywhere! C'est fini... For now... ... until then Cool Ce sera !-------------------------------Oh wait... have you snagged a tag lately ? Get out there and see snagthetag dot com for a fun side game that gives f t f chasers and sparkly thing chasers something extra fun to do... It's a game where giving a little and becoming a hider shows your support and keeps the fun alive for all. And there are NO BL**DY MINT TINS Twisted so it must be good Big GrinEnjoy Razz

We were really keen to run to the hills, or more accurately drive to the hills, but up until we found the right track the gullies were a problem. The phone obviously thought we were in some sort of ultra high clearance offroad RV judging by the routes it wanted us to take. The issue was solved by studying the hybrid map and doing our own navigation. How could the phone not find that track..?! Great views over Silverton and surrounds on a day with no wind. Considering there's a wind farm on these hills, that might be a rarity. TFTC KPKproject.

Freddo and Team Waldron headed to warmer climes around Broken Hill, Cobar, Bourke, Cunnamulla
and Charleville.

After a cold start in Broken Hill the weather improved once we got further north. Sadly our last night in Broken was wet which, pardon the pun, put a dampener on things.

All up it was a great week away and lots of caches were found with only 3 dnfs.

Thanks to all who placed and maintained their caches. The occasional cache was damaged and we refurbished it and we also left new logbooks as required.

A nice track to follow along. Nothing too hard here. A quick find. Onward to the next.

Quick find here.

Freddo and Team Waldron are heading north for a long delayed trip to the caching fields of Cunnamulla. This cache was found on our journey. Caches were fixed where necessary. Fresh log books added. Containers refreshed.

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

This cache was not hard to find, but which track to follow was pretty hard for us to choose. It was nerve wracking for me to navigate and to give the right direction to Mr Little Squirell... It all turned out ok.

Thanks heaps for the challenge

Together with my son, I am on a camping trip from Sydney to Broken Hill and back. On our 3000 km journey over 11 days we have seen some wonderful little towns, beautiful landscapes and many interesting geocaches.

Not running to the hills, but driving up the hills. Another great drive up the mountain in the geo-Jeep. Once we arrived at the top, the views were breathtaking. Flat lands as far as the eyes could see. FP awarded!

While staying in Broken Hill on not a sucj a sunny day we picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.

Wow, Wow,Wow, what a great adventure in the 4x4, or a long walk.A very scenic drive, not easy, a bit of a challenge, not having high clearence could be an issue. This is why we love geocaching, bring us to places like this, extremely enjoyable!!! Caches and contents were very good and adding to our favourites.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

A couple of days at Silverton before the Inaugural Mundi Mundi Bash. Headed out to find our last 2 unfound caches in this area. Fantastic views and a great drive. The track is damaged from the flooding rain a month or so ago so we had to retrace our drive to return to the pub for lunch.

Nice quick and easy find

The 2wd van got me to within 150m but I wasn't confident of the river crossing so had to park up and walk the rest of the way

Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.

Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??

Thanks KPKproject (F=3470 H=110) for placing this cache and adding to our game.

We are heading up to Townsville for the mega up there going a very convoluted way chasing Lab caches and Corners with Micaparamedic, papi4506 & Geoturtle37.

We stayed in broken Hill last night and did a little bit of sight seeing this morning and of course silver ton was in the list of things to do. It was too early for the pub so we went out to the reservoir to pick up the cache that the others hadn't had and then headed off to find these which are new since our last visit.

Coming in from this way was a great little track that we all really enjoyed even with the few extra washouts since the recent rains.
The cache was found quickly and our name was added to the log

Thanks for the cache

Only 35 years between visits to BH and Silverton I started off my minibreak with a trip out here. Scooped up all the caches bar the one I couldn’t get to and had fun exploring.

What a lot of fun this cache hunt turned out to be. Up and down hills and through gullies, driving on dodgy goat tracks.

TFTC,
Out here today with the National Riley Rally.
Took the chance to leave the group for a while before lunch and made our way out here. Wasn't sure we would get here after crossing the creek and having to go back into 1st to climb the hill.
All good with the cache.
Added a favourite and visited trackables.

After a very hectic day we managed to escape SA, Ending up in Wentworth way after midnight. This morning on day 6 of our road trip it was re planning time, no caches for hundreds of kilometers either way. So we ended up heading to Broken Hill and Silverton. Great caching day, but again very hot!

Headed out to Silverton this morning to find all ten caches in the area and to beat the impending thunderstorms that were forecast for the afternoon. Really enjoyed driving the 4WD tracks out to the mine site and around the nearby hills, taking in the scenery with the thunderclouds looming over the horizon. We were very keen to complete the Silverton caching foray before the rain set in, and luckily we did as these tracks would have become impassable (even the sealed main road from Broken Hill to Silverton was closed for the afternoon and next day!). Thanks for the cache KPKproject!

Pa and I are on a 5 week trip around parts of outback NSW including Broken Hill. Today we decided to drive out to Silverton to collect as many caches as we could. This was another good drive to GZ. We luckily had some good advice from a friend that helped us find our way to the caches out here through the maze of tracks that showed up on various maps. It was a very easy find at GZ, and although 5he log is damp it now carries my name. TFTC KPKproject.

I was here a few weeks ago but I missed out on a few caches, in silverton and broken Hill due to time constraints, and with caching it’s almost like unfinished business leaving caches unfound. The car only got so far until my muggle passengers started panicking so parked car near cache and walked. Tftc

Day 5 - A full day spent caching and touring around Silverton, finding many interesting caches along the way. This was the next find of the day, and after a fun 4WD drive it was a quick drive-by find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then it was off to the next one.

Headed out on a 10-day trip to outback NSW with fitzy_1965 and albida33.

Day 5 saw us touring around Silverton collecting as many caches as we could along the way. We detoured out to the Day Dream Mine tour which is well worth doing. In logs we signed as MK, F65 & A33.

Quick find here today after a fun 4wd out here.

We have visited Broken Hill - Silverton area pre-caching. Caching and holidaying with 2beez, today we ventured to Silverton. This area was interesting and somewhere we haven't explored before. We ventured from cache to cache in our 4wd but did see some people out doing the heritage walk.

Great views from here. The wind is chilly today.
