I did not plan to do this cache today but windy inclement weather made me want to head for the nearest station and this cache was sort of on the way. It took a while to prise out from its spot, but eventually the log was signed. Time to head home as I don’t like the look of the sky. I did not get as many caches today as I expected but will return on a more pleasant day.

Suscoe headed to Melbourne today in the great company of Bushfire.
We had decided to target some caches along the Plenty Road area and we enjoyed travelling around the Mernda, South Morang suburbs as well as part of Bundorra.
It was a delightful day with plenty of sunshine and a mild breeze for most of the day. It did get quite warm during the afternoon as the cool breeze seemed to disappear.

We had a terrific day and thanks goes to all the cache owners for showing us this area.

Thanks to napier92 for this hide.
We walked to GZ from a nearby street and made a quick find.
We have enjoyed finding your caches today, thanks for placing them.

After claiming a very high D/T challenge cache in the You Yangs yesterday, only a two km walk but the walk there and back was the easy part, but the climb ,thorns and huge rocks proved a huge challenge for the ageing Bushfire who had done the same walk two years ago on his own but two years means a lot when your over eighty, but I made it, so today these caches were very easy but I am still feeling the effects of yesterday.
My very special caching partners, the suscoe’s invited me to tag along for a visit to this area which I have never visited before even though I have been caching since 2005.
I could not get over the number of great old Red Gums that seem to have been reserved with their own little bit of space and the number of old fallen huge old logs that have been given their own space as well.
On my day in this area I logged as I went with FLL, which simply means that I will follow up with a decent log ASAP. I had a please explain from sbrundan as to what it meant so now you know what it means and here is my full log as I said I would place tonight or as soon as possible.
Special thanks to all the cache owners whose caches that we have found today as without you guys placing caches we would be back in the early 2000’s when if you found two or three caches you had a good day and travelled many km to get them, oh so different today.
Thanks napier92 again for placing this cache for us too find. Second last find for the day and then the long journey back to Geelong.

I had to pass one of yours as I didn't download it into my GPS, so this one made up for it. A great bike path linking a lot of areas to ride and find caches. Left a couple of coins for other finders. Thanks again.

I have walked past this spot at least twice and forgotten to bring a pen, so today I made sure I had one. A quick easy find. Lots of muggles out this morning so had to stuff it in my pocket till someone walked past. TFTC napier92.

Find #1016 @14:10

Meadowglen brings back a lot of Saturday morning Little Aths memories for me. I was never really the athletic type but I certainly tried.

I had my doubts about being FTF about this one - it had been a few days with no online log so when an opportunity to finish work a little early came up I decided to swing passed here and see. Of course, my suspicions were correct and I will happily take STF and move on the TB.

Left a pencil pack and a handmade cockatoo. Thanks for bringing me back to the area!

As there is nobody watching this treasure all this information will go unnoticed, except to Big Brother who are watching everything.

The bananas have now found 1000 exclusive First to Finds. None of them joint first to finds. They don't count. No help. No hints. No phone a friend. Bananas only.

Of the 1000
308 were once unloved.
203 are now archived.
103 are rated T5.
85 consecutive months of FTFs.
68 boat attributes have been swam to. Bananas swim.
64 were difficult climbs
53 have never been found by others.
48 were tree climbs.
22 were unloved when found.
9 were more than 1 year old when found.
7 are D5/T5 not found by anybody else.

All loved.
But only one crossed this significant milestone.

This one.
Thank you.
