Finally got up here after being intrigued by this cache for a couple of years. Nice autumn day to explore someone's front yard, and really enjoyed working through the stages to get to the log book. Thanks for the cache, Kaucket!

Wow that is a seriously cool cache. Loved it. In the area today and thought time to get a couple of nearby caches. So glad I did. A favourite from me. TFTC Kauket.

Well of course I initially felt dodgy but given its Boxing Day, it seemed quiet on this home front. I'm happy to report I can follow instrctions, especially clear ones that have a finite end such as signing a log book. I'll have to say, that this seemed a particularly poignant cache to be doing as my dear often very hilarious and generous to a T mum passed away a little before Christmas. So, if this were my cache I'd likely create a few clues that may or may not have had much impact on a young child born this decade...they would include the following..By this date almost a third of Australians are out of work, unemployment reached a record high of about 32%, The Sydney Harbour Bridge is officially opened, the statue of The Dog on the Tuckerbox is unveiled at Gundagai, The Australian Broadcasting Commission (ABC) is established, Racehorse Phar Lap dies midday at ranch in San Francisco, two weeks after winning at Agua Caliente racetrack, -K ingsford Smith arrived at Darwin. with air mail from England; Girl Guides through out world now total over 1,000,000, the Australian Aborigines League is established, Australian cricket's master batsman Don Bradman scores 299 not out in 10 wicket 4th Test win vs South Africa in Adelaide; runs out of partners going for 300, "Shanghai Express" directed by Josef von Sternberg and starring Marlene Dietrich, Clive Brook and Anna Mae Wong premieres in Los Angeles, III Winter Olympic Games open in Lake Placid, New York, "Tarzan the Ape Man" released starring Olympic swimmer Johnny Weissmuller in the first of his 12 Tarzan films, World's first particle accelerator built by Ernest Walton and John Cockcroft performs the first artificial nuclear fission with Lithium at Cambridge University, Pulitzer Prize for Literature awarded to novelist and humanitarian Pearl S. Buck (The Good Earth), the first American woman to win, Community immunisation for the public began, William Cooper, founder of the AAL, drafted a petition for an indigenous treaty to send to King George V. A FAVE for the memories. TFTC and the FUN.

**29/10/2023, 14:52:00****Find #5484****Mystery Find #1072**I headed out this morning with Steve for our first caching run in a very long time. We'd heard so many good things about this series that we had to experience it for ourselves. These caches didn't disappoint. Smile A very bold hide and a good one. Steve had already found this one but was kind enough to stop here for me to find it. There didn't appear to be anyone at home so it was just go in, find the cache and sign the log. Big Grin**Thank-you to Kaucket for placing this geocache**

After a nearby library event this morning, Chook and Stemicmitsar took a short walk "around the block" to pick up a couple of caches, and this was one of them. Lucky we had two of us to work out what was required, and soon the cache was in hand. TFTC Kaucket.

*Found on the 26 Aug 2023 @ 12:32 pm.*
*Cache find # 15008.*

Yes, this particular year is certainly a great year.
After the Boronia Library event, I headed off on a stroll with chook'n'chunk minus the chunk.
This one has been on the list to do for some time now but also at the same time I wasn't in a hurry to do it as it just feels a bit odd wandering around in someone's front yard, so it was better to do it with someone else, even then it took us a little while to finally sort of where to be and what to do, in the end it was all good and the log was signed.

**Thanks to Kaucket for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**

This was the puzzle that just kept giving...it kept me entertained, I am always cautious exploring in someone's yard even with permission. I did my homework in the geo car. Hence, l was momentarily perplexed after finding the info at way point 1, but i was able to follow directions and soon had cache in hand. fav point.. travel bug left

It certainly was a great year! I was in Grade 5 and Beatlemania was at its peak! I didn’t realise their talent until many years later. My parents weren’t into pop music- classical and folk were the genres we were exposed to.
I had trouble opening the first stage, but I’d done my homework and was able to open the second stage and therefore the third stage within minutes. Very unusual and fun cache. Worthy of its favourite point tally.

Have seen this but waited to fill a day on my calendar, and tonight was the night.

A little spooky and unnerving in the dark but eventually I managed the find. Thanks for the adventure.

16-Oct-22
The instructions for this one were intriguing, so it was first on our afternoon list. We quickly found the first waypoint and had just deciphered the year when we met the lovely CO, who stayed with us as we made our way to GZ. Thanks for setting this one up!

Found it with SciFiRulz TFTC Smile

25-Sep-22
Found with PapaGrouch. Out caching in an area where we once lived and found this cache. It was a bit of fun to solve and I had a nice chat with the CO while we were there. This was also my 4000th find, but I forgot that at the time as I had lost count of how many we had already found today. TFTC

Off to do a bit of cache maintenance and continue a Wherigo we had started, n0w0rries and I took a short trip into the Dandenongs.

Well, it wasn't a bad year, but I prefer one of the adjoining ones for very personal reasons.

But Oh! What a great cache!

A worthy contender for a Cache of the year prize.

Thanks, Kaucket

Found it! Yeah we found it! I’ve been wanting to find this one for ages! And too was the day! This find also continues my monthly mystery challenge. I had wanted to keep this one for a day I would be working close by. But after an unsuccessful attempt at a mystery/challenge cache on the other side of town following a fabulous walk along Kororoit Creek trail, this was the obvious alternate option. Before dropping Muggle Jayashree home, we stopped here and found the clues and then the cache. We had to be brave on approach as it is not something you do every day! My father remembers the year in question but I do not. It was a bit of a fiddle to replace a component, I hope I didn’t stuff it up! Thanks for organizing and maintaining the cache!

01-Aug-22
Congrats on your nomination. Well conceived and fun to work through and finally get the logbook to sign. Great work Kaucket.

Super fun and clever cache - thank you!!

First time I have come across a Pathtag so thank you for introducing me to those.

Headed out today with Manfred Wolfgang , Earthbound Chief and BeckNmonts, targeting the caches that had been nominated for an award in the cache of the year. Mostly just doing the caches that were friendly

Last one for the day, quite an impressive cache. Great fun

Sir Manfred Wolfgang S Crocodile , ahomburg, Earthbound Chief and myself decided to dedicate today to finding some nominated Cache of the Year geocaches. He was quite happy at this cache as his mum remembered to give him a drink first! Four lots of water later, we headed off to find a cache. A lot of fun, so I’ve added a favourite point. Thanks for placing a high quality cache for us to find Kaucket.

22-May-22
Today we found Oh What a Great Year! on our travels. We are out and about today checking out some of the COTY nominated caches. We quite liked this one, it all went smoothly even though we are quite capable of making a dogs breakfast of multi step cache!
Thanks Kaucket for being part of our geocaching fun.

02-May-22
I had an errand to run nearby and still needed to get the Blue Switch Day souvenir, so I searched out a few caches.
I had looked at this one online some months ago, but not had the opportunity to come looking.
Research had provided the necessary year, although I was pretty sure I knew it from the Beatles reference anyway.
I had a look at WP1 anyway, and it's nicely done.
Onward to WP2, and thenceforth to the cache.
The trickiest part is securely replacing the key.
TFTC and the clever little journey to go with it Kaucket

A favourite point for creativity!
TFTC which we really enjoyed.

Out at sunset with my friend frostedcookies. Before we became geocashers We used to walk past the field puzzle on our walks up here all the time!,
It was a great gc to solve not too hard, we soon figured it out and found a pathtag, my first one! Tftc Kaucket!

Really fun and interactive! Enjoyed the mystery, loved the hunt for it

07-Dec-21
Wow, this was an adventure. Out with Echidna44, it took us quite a while to locate the bird feeder. We wandered around several properties, as it was a dull day and our phones where telling lies. Eventually we spotted it, we opened it, read the info, and then it took us quite a while to put it back together. It was a cold day and we both had numb hands. Then it was off to find the key. This also took quite a while as our phones were leading us up numerous garden paths. Echidna44 eventually came up with the goods. We had sussed out the code and released the key, opened the container and signed the log. Then we could not get the key receptacle to close, as the key needed to be in a certain position for this to happen. After much jiggling we completed the mission. This was certainly the most interesting cache of the day.

07-Dec-21
Out with BoabTree, we were following the trail of KNDP caches and doing a few trads and puzzles in between.
What a delight we found here.......
We started in the wrong yard as GPS were not being helpful, then found the right yard and what we wanted. After setting off in the wrong direction, we corrected that and came up with the prize. Great fun, beautifully put together, a favourite point. Thanks Kaucket

30-Oct-21
We had found a nearby cache and realised this one was nearby. We always feel a little uneasy with caches on private property ... but here goes. We located the required info and soon determined the year. Then on to the next waypoint and finally the location of log. Thanks to Kauchet for the hunt and cache.

Got spooked when the cache owner returned home, but it was very nice meeting you. A very fun cache, enjoyed the mini multi feel. That’s a favourite point from me! TFTC

30-Sep-21
I was out with my daughter a while ago when I did this one. While on the venture the husband came and oversaw our journey. Nice little multi. Thanks for the cache Kaucket

07-Aug-21
It’s lockdown 6 and a 5km travel limit again so I used my exercise time to walk the dog and grab this local hide - with a chat to a local neighbour this one was in hand with not too much trouble at all. tftc

10-Jul-21
Like others, I was a bit nervous doing this cache in a Saturday morning when there were a couple of cars in the driveway. I made one of the kids stand with me for moral support! All went smoothly and I snagged one of the CO's cute path tags too. Thanks! That was fun.

22-Jun-21
Found this cache today, very well thought out hide!! TB retrieved… TFTC Smile

02-May-21
It's been a while since I had the time to get out for a full morning of caching however today was one of those days.

I am generally not a fan of caches on private land however this one intrigued me. I soon had all the information and had the cache in hand. I picked up a pathtag and left one of mine. TFTC.

This cache has been on my radar for a while, and today I decided to have a look for it. After a bit of Gooogling, I had the code and the logbook was in hand soon after. All in good condition. Fave point from me. TFTC

Thanks SNA

28-Mar-21
This one had been on My to do list for some time and I finally made it here, I am always nervous walking into someone's yard as I got a house wrong once and went into the wrong property, I have a cache at My place but it is available from the foot path. Well I made it to the cache and soon had it open, am sure someone drove out while I was around the side.

Thanks Kaucket for the cache.

13-Dec-20
Noticed this nearby so headed over with Spiffy- quickly worked out what we needed and had the log signed.

Thanks to Kaucket for the placement and fun.

13-Dec-20
Fleabag- the social butterfly had a Xmas party in the afternoon to attend so we spent a few hours in the morning up in the cooler hills of the Dandenongs doing mostly lab caches before he had to head off to start drink beer.

A little uncomfortable snooping around in someones garden but no neighbours were outside and after following the instructions we were soon signing the log. Nicely done.

Thanks Kaucet for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

31-Oct-20
Wooooohooooooo..... Well it has been 230 days since we have been able to write a “Found It” log!!!! So today was the day to re-enter the world of geocaching!! I kind of wish this was the first one that we had found today as it is very cool and even more so as that was the year I was born!!!!! And I see what you did there with the listed co-ords! To begin with our GPS had us a bit of a way from the eventual stage 1 but once we got closer it was obvious lol We then completed stage 2 very easily and were just accessing stage 3 when someone arrived home! Dropped TB
TFTC Kaucket - a fave point from us!

31-Oct-20
This cache had appeared on my "radar" on previous visits nearby, so when GJMMelb and I found ourselves close by I was keen to give it a go. And glad to do so with company as this type of cache hide makes me a bit nervous... We parked nearby and hopefully not causing any issues, and started our seach a bit off target as it turned out (I eventually rebooted my GPS as it seemed to be consistently tens of metres off...) Eventually, an object I/we had spotted early on drew G' to investigate closer and doh - the sign was perfectly clear!... J' then retrieved the key and I got to open the cache hide and log our visit. About then one of of the occupants/COs arrived and we had a short chat about the cache etc. Smile TFTC

I found this cache today on a quick trip out from home after a very hard week at work. A delightful little cache and well set up. Just what the doctor ordered. Thanks from D B-A

Oh what a year indeed!! This one 2020 has been just terrible, worse in a 100 years... However reading about the events of the year which this cache highlights sounds like an epic one quite a pivotal year. I missed that year only rocking up 13 years later. Do like the deployment of this cache. Like others, was a tad unsure due to the location but sallow a teaspoon of cement and got the job done. Nice! [^] Big Grin

Day 83 of 366 completed.

So we must be running out of caches within our 5km radius. Mystery puzzles are normally on the bottom our list of caches to do. Simply not enough brain power for the so many ways to hide coordinates.
This was more our style although there is always that hesitation about private property.
All the components worked great for us and would recommend this cache to others.

29-Jun-20
We are dog-sitting the grand furball for a few days, and Crusty K9 has her nose out of joint, so I thought it would be nice to take her out in the sunshine for a break. Hey! Let's go after some caches.
We stopped outside the property and I promptly became distracted by the wrong object. Luckily, Mr Kaucket happened to come out, and he steered me in the right direction. As I was filling in the log, Mrs Kaucket came by and gave me one of her new pathtags. How lucky was that!
A very nice puzzle and cache, worthy of a favourite point.
Thanks Kauckets, nice to meet you.

20-Jun-20
I was nice and warm at home with the abducted heating on, but couldn't pass up an invitation for some night caching with the delightful The Rustys.
This was the first of the night and I was pretty useless really - I never even noticed the fairly obvious item at the starting coords, nor the possum staring at us. In no time we had the correct year and made it to GZ, where after a bit of fumbling on my part, had the cache signed and everything packed away as we found it.
Thanks for something a bit different

20-Jun-20
After thinking it was going to rain all weekend, it turned out to be a glorious day, which got me all revved up to do a little caching. It didn’t take much convincing to get the lovely Jimbo80 lined up for a long-overdue catch up. I love it when people have no plans on a Saturday night, like me!
We met in this suburban street and giggled about the weirdness of traipsing around in someone’s front yard by torchlight. But once we got over our initial jitters it was fine.
I dismissed the container at the first waypoint a few times before deciding that it MUST be it. Sure enough.....
The rest was smooth sailing.
Off to get donuts for dessert at a nearby establishment.

What a fun cache .. so well thought out with all the steps .. I haven’t seen one like this before ..congratulations on a creative cache ..I was initially a bit apprehensive going onto private property but really it was ok .. a favourite point from me

A beautiful sunny day today - it was great to be out and doing some caches Smile I was very hesitant here, residence caches really worry me- always expecting someone to come out and yell at me! But there was nothing to worry about, and the cache played out beautifully without a hitch. Great fun, thanks so much for an original puzzle and find Smile TFTC!

Cache 2/5 found today with Cooper from fisherfamfive. This cache was certainly something different, but we both loved it! We hadn't seen one quite like this for a while so it was great fun to work through the puzzles and sign the log. Favorite point from us! TFTC Kaucket!

Cache 2 of 5 with Jackson on 2020's annual Labour Day. We really, really loved the cache, and how it bought a whole new aspect to Geocaching that none of us have seen for quite some time! There has obviously been some hard work and lots of planning gone into this cache, and it has certainly paid off! Well done Kaucket, you get a well earned favourite point from us! Tftc!

With my wife off on a long run, I had a few hours to spare and thought I would collect a number of caches in this area that took my fancy.

I personally don't like caches with the "Private Residence" attribute, but my love of puzzle caches won this contest. I parked and strolled over continually looking at my phone, re-reading this instructions.

The nice easy field puzzle was solved after opening my eyes and finding the correct key. Signed the log file of this nice geocache at 8.15 am. Hopeful I didn't wake the residents.

Thanks for the cache Kaucket

What a great quick field puzzle, a nice change from a difficult at home puzzle! I waited til a neighbour had gone back inside to get out of the car and work out what I needed to do. Found without any trouble. The box the logbook is in has water at the bottom, maybe a hole in the base would help drainage? Logbook was dry.

After finished with Adventure Labs with kangas11. On way to home and stopped there for a quickly but suddenly become pour heavy raining.
Found it
Thanks Kaucket for placing it.

Accompanied with crank1 doing with our Adventure Labs on this area. Stopped here before the next Adventure Lab question. We found it and crank1 logged it for us but the heavy pouring end up crank1 in a soaking wet. Lucky I was in the car before the rain came. Thanks Kaucket for placing it

After a few lab caches, we noticed this unsolved puzzle nearby. On closer inspection, field puzzle! Ooh, that sounds like fun. And it was. Nice work. A fav point for the effort.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, Kaucket

Out grabbing Lab caches again and stopped here on way back, a bit of trepidation at first, but then we dug in once the threshold was crossed and went through all the stages. Nicely done !

Thanks Kaucket for Oh What a Great Year!

Out to find a cache for the day to maintain my streak, now at 275 days straight, only 3417 to go, no, just kidding Wink
What a great cache tucked away in the back streets of Boronia.
It didn't take me long to identify the year, those guys with the long hair that stayed under the Southern Cross gave it away. After that I was looking for my football team that won their last Grand Final in this year but it never came, neither did their next Grand Final.
Discovered one TB and dropped another.
Simple but enjoyable!

Was lucky enough to be just finishing up some work a few roads way from this one, on arrival at gz I was happy to find no other cachers present.
I soon had done the required work to receive the magic numbers, good containers and a logical puzzle made this a fun cache.

Cheers for all your effort and the FTF prize, favorite point for sure.
I'll look forward to your next cache.
