Wahoo yay yay! This one has been on my radar since the day it was placed. And back then, I was nowhere near qualified. Fast forward to a few months back, and I had found myself just one DTT combination short. That combination was targeted today, a lovely tree climb in Strathpine, and now I am finally over the line. I love these challenges because they remind me of the huge variety of caches I've tried and loved. Thanks for the caching goodness, P'![oz_bean_counter](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=oz_bean_counter) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8J4F4/48072 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.I have filled 250 DT cells among all DT grids. (required: 250)I have the follwing number of cells per DT grid73 caches with type: Traditional Cache59 caches with type: Multi-cache6 caches with type: [Event Cache, Cache In Trash Out Event, Mega-Event Cache, Giga-Event Cache, Groundspeak Lost and Found Celebration]38 caches with type: [Virtual Cache, Webcam Cache, Earthcache, Locationless (Reverse) Cache]74 caches with type: [Unknown Cache, Letterbox Hybrid, Wherigo Cache]

I recently signed this challenge cache and have now checked and I qualify. That was a surprise. Tftc [kolour](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=kolour) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8J4F4/48072 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.I have filled 251 DT cells among all DT grids. Plenty of good foot and hand holds. Checker agrees so Im away. Thanks for placing here its good to get a bit of exercise I AM GUR
While in the area, I decided to sign this log if I could. Im still getting my confidence up for tree climbing. This is my highest and hardest tree climb yet (I have some grazes to prove it) but I did sign it. Will check later to see if I qualify.
Out for a few hours with nikid1 so we have to make the most of our limited time to find caches for the cosmic quest. After inspecting all sides of GZ I finally spied the cache, we werent sure whether we (& by we, I mean nikid1 as Im definitely not a climber) would be able to reach it or not but was worth a try so back to the car to get the ladder. The ladder wasnt long enough but nikid1 climbed further up the tree & managed to reach the cache - amazing! The cache paid an accidental visit to me on the ground but was soon back up in its rightful place.Theres more work required from me before I can turn this into a smiley face. Thanks for the challenge PPrime
GC8J4F4 The DTT ChallengeKerriMG and I had a few hours reprieve from home duties so of course we decided to go caching. Since we had a deadline we decided to tackle this area not too far from home. The cache was spotted by KerriMG. We werent sure if this was within our climbing ability. It turns out it is but just. Had the ladder out and I made my way up. Managed to just reach the cache (wish I had longer arms). Signed the log with my left hand so my shaky up a tree writing is even worse than ever. Trying to put the lid back on I managed to drop it. Back down and on getting back up I got a bit closer which made getting the cache back together a bit easier. The checker says I qualify. I earned every one of these D and T stars!TFTC Pprime (P`)
Thanks for the cache and cool challenge. Cheers I have filled 277 DT cells among all DT grids. (required: 250)I have the following number of cells per DT grid77 caches with type: Traditional Cache56 caches with type: Multi-cache9 caches with type: [Event Cache, Cache In Trash Out Event, Mega-Event Cache, Giga-Event Cache, Groundspeak Lost and Found Celebration]63 caches with type: [Virtual Cache, Webcam Cache, Earthcache, Locationless (Reverse) Cache]72 caches with type: [Unknown Cache, Letterbox Hybrid, Wherigo Cache]
Dont quite qualify yet so Ill post as a Write Note.Great challenge but the cache has recently been fished unsuccessfully and was propped over a pole just 1/2 metre above ground level. TFTC.
As described in the cache, we have a relatively similar challenge up in Townsville, so once I qualified for that I was pretty much also clear for this one. Pretty easy tree climb here, but that was just a taste for the others I would be doing during my trip. A good cache that will help me filling my upcoming loop. I have filled 258 DT cells among all DT grids. (required: 250)I have the follwing number of cells per DT grid81 caches with type: Traditional Cache44 caches with type: Multi-cache8 caches with type: [Event Cache, Cache In Trash Out Event, Mega-Event Cache, Giga-Event Cache, Groundspeak Lost and Found Celebration]44 caches with type: [Virtual Cache, Webcam Cache, Earthcache, Locationless (Reverse) Cache]81 caches with type: [Unknown Cache, Letterbox Hybrid, Wherigo Cache]Once again I find myself in Brisbane for a business trip. This of course means that once all meetings are over the hunt for caches can begin! Though, this also means that all caching adventures will have to be done at night, which generally doesnt make things easier. I am mostly focusing on challenge caches this time around, as it is great to finally collect the fruits of the hard work after qualifying for them.Pprime (P`), thanks for placing the Small sized 4.0/4.0 geocache The DTT Challenge.
This challenge has definitely been our main focus for some time. Knowing that the qualifying caches we needed were starting to become far and wide, we usually focused on what was available when we were on holiday. When we qualified I subsequently deleted the spreadsheet we were working out of, and then immediately proceeded to forget all about signing the log. After paying our respects to Jasper we finally came to find the cache. I did a last minute check to make sure we still had the required numbers and was surprised to find we had actually crept passed the target by a couple. Whenever I check my bank balance it never secretly increases.I think the cache that tipped us over the line was a multi in Swan Valley. It also could have been a multi in Clare Valley. Lets just agree that it was a multi in a valley. Awarding a favourite point for making us get out of the house on weekends. tftc

Day 3 of our trip to QLD on 12 Nov 2020 and today Joolay and I are after the challenges near the airport. Expecting to be attacked by mossies so hopefully we are prepared enough. Great climb Joolay. 31/12/2023 Find #6771Well this is a little surprising!! I was taking a moment to see just what challenges I am close to qualifying for so I could see what I needed to add to my goals for the new year, and this showed up as one I have signed but dont yet qualify for according to the challenges tab in project gc. However I clicked on the checker and it says yes I do qualify!! Perhaps it was todays multi that got me over the line?? Thanks for the cache Pprime (P`).
Out this morning trying out my new TOTT.. I qualified according to Project. com It was a bit higher than TOTT but we got there in the end. Thanks Pprime (p). All good with this cache and challenge.

Greetings from Ireland! I am visiting Australia for approximately 5 weeks (I was born in Darwin but moved to Ireland at the age of 3. I am now 40 and it's my first time back!)Today I was kindly picked up by Wayn0 who had all the gear any geocacher would need so we hit the road early and spent the day picking off high DT / interesting caches!I don't qualify for this so it's just a write note for now.
Out and about with new geo-buddy, irishalan. This was one of the many challenge caches signed today. Thanks for creating. Cheers
I found this cache when I was on a trip to Queensland earlier this year and with an event yesterday I now qualify for this challenge.
Thank you Pprime (P') for the challenge

After spending the day working from home, it came time to venture out and get a bit of fresh air after being cooped up in side all day.
This cache was on todays radar and after parking the geowagon in an appropriate spot to make an assault on the prize I quickly arrived at ground zero.
It didn’t take long before the cache was located and the log extracted. The appropriate mark was made and everything returned to its rightful place.
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.
Cheers

While out on a day of geocaching with Peppa recently, we had to return to this cache which he visited the day before. Reason being he has misplaced his card wallet and he remembers he last had it at this cache.
Parked about where he parked the car the day before, opened the door and what should be on the ground.... his card wallet!!! Oh joyous wonder!!!
So not to let a chance go by of not signing a cache, he revisited this cache, and climb, so my name could be in the log.
Checking Project-GC, found I qualify for this challenge.
First check in 18/08/2021 had 229 cells.
Next check on 4/11/2022 had 249 cells.
Today I have 254/250 cells completed.
Another challenge completed...

Sims_family and Dromaniax are on a huge journey that takes them from home in Geelong, Victoria through NSW to Canberra then back through NSW to Goondiwindi, Queensland and then across to the Gold Coast. All towing a massive 12x8x7 foot trailer fully initially loaded and very heavy.
A day in Brisbane without the trailer was a welcome relief aloowing to be able to get to some key caches that we were after
Loads of challenge caches were signed so I am initially putting notes on them all to work out what I actually qualify for.
I will log any later as I qualify for them.
Thank you Pprime (P') for the Challenge

After signing this log a long time ago, I realised late last week I didn't have far to go to qualify. Over the weekend I targeted caches which would help to qualify for this challenge, I finally do!

A quick visit to Brisbane to find a few caches to complete a loop of the D/T grid and make a good dent in the next loop.
I found a nice pen at the base of this one. Added my name ️ and moved onto the next one.

This was a challenge we were happy to qualify for. We had checked in advance and now back in Brisbane came to GZ and made the climb to GZ to sign the log.
Challenge caches are always fun! Some you think you will not qualify for, and you do, and equally others that give you a challenge to work towards.

Reading up on this challenge, challenged me. I took a moment for the maths to sink in and for me to visualise how it worked. But I got there. I can be smooth-brained at times. But with it square peg inserted into the round hole of my head, I liked the concept here and was pleased I qualify. Years and years ago I pondered filling D/T grids with individual types and sizes, but I lost interest soon after. But even still I qualified with my first click on the checker - 267. Woohoo. And given my usual and ongoing backlog of finds, might even have a few extra on top of that.
This afternoon, I met up with oz_bean_counter as she wanted to do some maintenance on her local hides. And I'm happy to come along for the drive for what would turn out to be a bit of a guided tour of the geocaches in the area on a reasonably wet day.
A Prime challenge was something we agreed to find. She knew where to park and I could easily navigate to GZ and sort out how to get up. Not exactly a death-defying climb. Indeed, it's very possible and I can appreciate that here. Even still, careful in the wet, and made an easy find at 16:05. Thank you for this geocache, Pprime
It's been a while since I've found a challenge and while I bemoan the 'ease' of Project-GC, there is no chance I'm going to type out my qualifying list here. I will improve the layout of the checker output though:
*Captain Terror has filled 267 D/T/T cells among all D/T/T grids (250 required). I have the following number of unique D/Ts per type:*
* 77 geocaches of type: Traditional.
* 60 geocaches of type: Multicache.
* 18 geocaches of types: Event, Cache In Trash Out Event, Mega-Event.
* 41 geocaches of types: Virtual, Webcam, Earthcache, Locationless.
* 71 geocaches of types: Mystery, Letterbox Hybrid, Wherigo.

Down in Brisbane for the weekend for a network meeting on Monday meant I was able to tee up some playtime with the Bug to target my 9th and 10th loops.
Although not needed for the loops (yet) I just couldn’t pass this by as we were passing by. Despite being based on one of my challenges the little tweaks meant I fell one short with 249/250, but this weekend has got me over the line. The checker will just need a minute to catch up.
Thanks Pprime (P`) for the shout out and creating and placing this for us to enjoy.

Found just after sunrise. I qualify with some room to spare. I discovered that my tree-climbing skills are a bit rusty. But I got up to the cache in the end.

This morning, I took a drive north to Carseldine and Bracken Ridge, stopping at a few geocaches along the way. I enjoyed a few adventurous tree climbs, and the walk through a bushland crossing Bald Hills Creek was certainly a tough slog. It was then a brief opportunity to attend MummaBear66's *Birthday Celebrations* event before I was expected back home.
In the late afternoon, @jesswrigley and I took my visiting parents for a walk along Kedron Brook to survey some of the damage from the February heavy rains / flood event. The area has been cleaned up immensely, yet there is still leaf debris in fences and debris in amongst trees serving as a reminder of what happened.
I was running a little behind time to tackling a couple of geocache hides nearby within this bushland, and I started out with this challenge cache after parking nearby. I didn't initially spot the cache from the ground, but I trusted the coordinates and proceeded up. After making some headway, I proceeded to look upwards once again, and then realised that the cache was waiting for me on the next branch. Unfortunately, the cache container's o-ring doesn't look to be sealing, so there was some water inside, and the logbook was quite wet. Thanks Pprime (P`) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. A fun tree climb, and cool challenge to have replicated in Brisbane too.

I used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8J4F4/48072 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if I qualified for this challenge, and I did.
I have filled 302 D-T cells among all D-T grids, and required 250.
[Interesting to see that I am 27 away from the maximum = 4 x 81 + 5 (event types) = 329]
I have the following number of cells per D-T grid:
• 81 caches with type: Traditional Cache;
• 78 caches with type: Multi-cache;
• 9 caches with type: [Event Cache, Cache In Trash Out Event, Mega-Event Cache, Giga-Event Cache, Groundspeak Lost and Found Celebration];
• 53 caches with type: [Virtual Cache, Webcam Cache, Earthcache, Locationless (Reverse) Cache]; and
• 81 caches with type: [Unknown Cache, Letterbox Hybrid, Wherigo Cache].
Came for an Event. Nice to do some caches afterwards.

Heading home from the event of the day and picking up a DNF, some challenges, FTF and what ever was in the way.
Yes this one was also in the way so let's investigate to see if we could find. Yes, we could see it and I drew the short straw for the climb. All good but found a wet log book which was unable to be signed. (New log sheet was placed).

Having finally had an opportunity to review all a number of challenges I’ve collected, mostly the ones found this year in Yass, Canberra right through to Townsville.
Signed this one in 2021. And it’s been challenging to tick all the d/t boxes. Thank goodness the multi/ virtual etc picked up the slack.

We came along today to find a selection of challenge caches with ilook4geo. The checker was run here and Project GC says we have found a total of 270 which more than covers the 250 needed here to fulfill this challenge.

This challenge reminded me that I need to keep trying to fill my multi D/T grid. I would love to get to QLD in 2022, and find this cache among others.

Another one that I passed on my way to a T3 hunt. I am not quite sure exactly what was required to qualify for this challenge. The checker says that I did with 284. I have completed a grid with [?] caches and I am only 4 off completing the grid for traditional caches.
Another reason to hunt this one today was no bicycle = no bike shoes = easier to climb.

Originally signed the log back in January thinking I had qualified. Oh no 2 short at the time. So as time marches on one does a cache here and another there and eventually one day one rechecks Challenge Caches.
Normally i like to reflect on which rose / roses trigger challenge qualification requirements but I have to admit with many distractions, especially this year i have no idea which caches made the 4 that have now pushed me over the line

With no meetings this morning while working from home, ventured to this quiet little spot for my dose of EMF. Induced my own reverse EMF by winding around the tree before spotting the cache perched a few steps up. Glad my height helped in not needing to find a higher foot hold, took the cache apart on tip toes and with the tips of the fingers.

What to do on an unexpected midweek RDO???? Go caching! signed but one short of qualifying.... watch this space! Love a good challenge!
We passed this one on the way to another today so stopped off to retrieve and sign even though qualifying is still far off. I have something to work towards now. Not a bad climb too. All good with the cache today. TFTC Pprime (P`)
After having stumbled through the area looking for another nearby cache, we stopped on our way out to attempt this one. DisSister was the brave soul who made the climb while I was fending off spiders down below, and providing moral support for the climber. She did an admirable job, and again her height came in handy, meaning she could stand on a branch lower than I would have needed to! Everything was fine with the geocache. Now I just have to qualify!

In the area this morning, I couldn't pass by without adding my name to the log. I don't yet qualify but will get there eventually.
Thanks Pprime for the challenge and the cache. The log is quite damp, there was a tiny bit of water in the cache, likely from the rain last night.

Dayboro QLD Mega - Day Six:
The sixth day of our mega road trip with buhfuhguh!
Another extremely long but successful day! After spending the day around Dayboro yesterday, it was time to focus on some Brisbane caching. We had Wherigo's, Challenges, T5 Kayak's, Virtuals and Earthcaches on our list to grab. We had to skip out on one challenge series, as the plagues or mosquitoes was literally unheard of. We got attacked in the hundreds the minute we walked into the wetlands, worse than either of us had ever seen! But plenty of other quality caches to get instead!
A great day around Brisbane, 13+ hours of caching all up and approximately 35 quality hides!
Thanks to all the CO's

This Cache:
Pretty satisfying to be able to qualify for this one! After seeing the current 81 PGC difficulty score, and the number of "Notes" exceeding "Founds" I was slightly worried! But whenever I am on holidays I tend to only target the "rare" types, so had a good feeling!
Held my breath, pressed that challenge checker button, and Wooooohooo!
Thanks for the tough challenge! That's a good one One that I will remember for sure
As for the hide, buhfuhguh stuck his hand up this time as I had excitedly climbed the last couple trees! Up he went and made a quick find, snapped a pic of him signing I was that excited!

At that point I was on 248/250 and let PGC do its thing.
I wasnt really worrying too much about qualifying because the DT combo wasnt a rare one, but still worthy all the same.
I did find myself however, looking to see what I needed.
I noticed I never found a 1/2 event before, strange since Ive attended 50 events.
It bring out my attention that I need to complete that damn mystery grid, since I have a complete traditional grid and all.
I didnt mind how these cache types were were grouped together for grids.
Also mystifies me how i automatically qualified for Burgos but not this one, but I will reflect on that another time I think.
I will say, I can add a complete Hides Grid to my list of complete Grids. As far as Looping go its nice to be a "complete looper", or "true looper", or "ultimate looper". Still haven't coined the term for it yet. Also I will add...its awesome to give back what you take out of the game.
Thanks PPrime.
Not a bad challenge...FP because its my 100th Challenge Cache.
**PS...for the record, DT Looping is a nice part of caching, as per any stats chased. Its great to have goals**
**100 Challenge Cache Found**
Signed a few weeks ago while out for the day with bella at waggy.

Out with The Bug and but this stage it was dark but there is always room for one more even if a tree climb so we headed over. A scout around and the prize was soon spotted so up we went and soon our names where in the log. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

Wags and I were just down the road getting our 'numbers' up when we this one came up for discussion.
Did the tree climb very easily and added our monikers.
He qualifies really easy,
While Im at 248/250
I will let PGC do its thing and they will let me know when I qualify.
Cheers for the challenge Pprime

Round and round the tree we go, and higher and higher. Spotted the container and reached it with a bit of a reach. Thanks for the challenge.

Today was my 9th Geocaching birthday!!! Unfortunately I had to work so couldn’t celebrate by going on a crazy mission and enjoying the day with lots of geocaches.
Instead I chose this great challenge to mark my 9th loop of Geocaching years.
It didn’t take long to spy the container, then up I went. Go go gadget arms! A bit of a stretch but I managed to get my scribble on the log.
I have filled 262 DT cells among all DT grids.
Thanks for the challenge and cache Pprime (P`)

After dropping a friend off at the airport for their trip to Townsville, thought I would venture a little further north to find this challenge cache that I haven't until now had the opportunity to get to. Nice and quite here today, took the ToT in case I got stuck with the tree climb, short arms and legs are a hindrance when trying to undo a container with one hand but managed to get the log signed and replaced as found.

This is an awesome tree, how on earth did you find it? It's like a ladder to the sky! Dropping in a TB for a rest in the shade.
Signed the log, but don't meet the requirements yet. As my closest unfound to home, this will haunt me for a few years yet to come.

Once upon a time I seriously gave a cr*p about my D/T grid. I travelled far and wide to complete it (even NZ). Since then, my interest in this looping business waned greatly due to what it has become.
But here is a D/T Challenge with a twist. Thankfully, my "diversity" paid off and I qualified for this one.
1MinnieMoo made our way to GZ today and found the area abandoned. 1MinnieMoo did the honours and our name was soon in the logbook. The cache was in good condition.
A fantastic little Challenge (there should be more of them!)

Thursday. After a shout out from Orange Crew, we jumped at the chance to get this cache. Mr SP had done the checker thing the night before when he saw this and saw that we qualified – just! So with that in mind, we met up with Mr OC and we soon had the cache container spotted! I clambered up and put all out names in the log. Not a hard climb, but my short legs did do a bit of a stretch at one point I’m used to that though and Mr OC joined me up there and gave the container a good feel over . Happy to claim a 2TF on this one as a joint with OC. Fantastic spot and we did spot the frogs which was lovely. Awarding a FP to this one for the challenge and climb.
This was the 1st of 3 caches found on this outing.

When this was released we heaved a groan as it indicated that we were just one measly qualifier short. It seems that our variety of letterbox and wherigo DT's don't help much, as they are collectively counted in with our mystery cache finds. Nothing for it but to go find more multis! So we did
But first, a last minute meetup with both Slow P's to sign the log. I clambered up the tree just below Mrs SP, who did the honours of signing as she was the one who spotted it first. Seems we are 2TF, though I now notice that several others followed our visit here today. No tools required to access this one, and we saw the froggies mentioned in the description watching on.
A good challenge, keep 'em coming please Mr P' Oh, and I thought DTTs were those shakes you started getting when you haven't been caching for a while ?!

I have a solid streak of monthly FTF's under the belt - yes, this is a silly statistic but silly stats (along with walky/climby caches, interesting puzzles and challenging challenge caches) are what makes this game continually interesting for me. At the beginning of every month I closely monitor the publishing looking for an early opportunity to continue the streak. As the month progresses, the pressure builds and towards the end of the month I become manic.
So, having missed a couple of opportunities early in the month, I was upset to only notice the most recent early evening batch of publishing last night very late. Of course, the easy traditional 2 kilometres from home had been snapped up within minutes.
This Challenge , still unfound, raised my interest. It was raining, and climbing trees in the rain in the dark on my own is apparently not my wife's idea of a safe past time. So I left this one till this morning. On waking I was pleased to see that it had not been found, though a qualifying note by Slow Puncture indicated it would probably not last long.
So I headed out before work to try and nab it - curious as to how hard the tree climb would be. On the way I formulated back up plans to return at lunchtime in the work ute with appropriate tools of the trade if required.
At GZ I was pleased by how quiet things were. After greeting the frog and the cockatoo on the opposite wall, I set about the climb. Not too bad, and quiet enjoyable, though things were damp. Soon enough, I was perched nice and high with a view of my froggy friend, where I found a nice clean unblemished log book.
I go out of my way to collect all the rarer caches types - especially virtuals, whereigos, earth caches and mysteries - and I tend to gravitate to higher DT caches which I enjoy more - so I was not surprised to see that I qualified for this one. I was a little surprised that I only just scrapped in with 260! An interesting challenge.
All in all a most satisfying morning out - so have a crooked favourite point. If only I didn't have to go to work after! Many thanks Pprime
Pete
