The Kings Birthday long weekend caching trip to Stanley is now in the second day. Today we found your cache whilst cleaning out the areas around Stanley and Smithton. An early start for us today and we found this cache at 07:50. Thanks awgreenhill for placing Tatlows track for us to find today. This brings my find count to 4886.
Swampy and I decided to visit Stanley with the aim of adding Pine Nut (GC52EF) to my list of oldest caches found. After an excellent trip, visiting the Hydro Power Trail along the way, we continued heading North West caching as we went. We found many different type of hides, cache containers and conditions. We fixed what was needed and replaced as found. What they all had in common was getting 2 geeks outside for some exercise. This find, Tatlows track, brings my total to 1666 and was found at 07:50 on 8/6/2024.Thanks awgreenhill for playing the game and giving us another reason to visit this area. Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
Thanks awgreenhill for hiding this cache and giving us some fun chasing it down This was find number 1,046 for us We are traveling Australia full time in a Coaster Bus and of course grabbing some caches along the way. [Feel free to follow our journey HERE...](https://linktr.ee/SalandAnth)
Today I visited Stanley to claim a 1st to find and while here I decided to revisit a couple of caches that, for whatever reason, I couldnt find on a previous visit. I was blessed with the most gorgeous weather with just a couple of fluffy clouds and the slightest breeze.. pure magic Before heading out today I packed my bathers and Im glad I did. What an absolute bonzer of a day! I was here last year but had no luck finding this cache. So after a nearby 1st find and another cache on The Nut, that I couldnt find on my last visit, I headed down the coast to find this one. It wasnt long before I had the logbook signed and then it was off to the beach TFTC awgreenhillKeep smiling
Always good to avenge a prior dnf. Found out in the open but is now covered with a piece of wood. TFTC
TFTC extremely difficult cache we moved it a little because of the danger of snakes but its in the same place
Today we headed out to find all the S name caches along the trail and beach, Nut ones hopefully tomorrow. It was a little bit windy but otherwise a perfect afternoon for a walk. No ideas here checked a number of spots but with no hint and no idea how j0shua would have hidden it we decided to move on. TFTH
Hey replaced the geocache its green and its a bottle made a log and put a pencil in it. Its hidden a bit well so hope you find it -J0shua
This one was surprisingly easy given the DNF from previous cachers
We must have just got lucky!

Had to have a return visit to find this one, quick find 2nd time around after having read some activities.
Thanks for maintaining the cache
Thanks for maintaining the cache
Couldn’t find it the first time, couldn’t read previous activities, so we came back to where we are staying, looked at previous logs which was helpful. When we went back geo hubby spotted something maybe suspicious and soon had cache in hand. TFTC
I will have to check on this one as should be be an easy find, I will be back in Stanley in a couple of weeks.
Great first cache for our Stanley visit. Weather a bit windy but good for walking.
Left a pathtag. AnsMisty

Found by Peter and Marian at 1313hrs, having anice stroll along Tatlows track. TNLN TFTC.
We were visiting Stanley for the day and thought we would try and collect all of the Stanley caches. Found this one easily while trying to avoid the flies. Also picked up a TB and will try and move on soon. TFTC
For this S series of cache Geo Kid O and myself went different ways. I went along the path, and Geo Kid O went along the beach and then we met where the path comes back up to the main path. Only one DNF among these caches (Which was not the caches fault) which was surprising as some are tricky hides

3 days off from work, and Geo Kid O joined me on a journey to Stanley and then down along the western explorer road towards Corinna. We have a great time finding a number of caches and driving a road I had not travelled on before.
The Western Explorer road was closed for a while and recently had been reopened with a new bridge near Balfour. Some very interesting sights along the way, with part of the road feeling more like a forest track, and other parts felt like a place where no one else has gone in the past, other than on the road. The open button grass plains were amazing along with the mountain views.
We stayed in Stanely, and the caches in and around Stanely were very good, including one walk to the top of the Nut. Gee that is a steep 400 metre walk.
Thank you for the cache which was part of our journey

This series of caches, all very close to home, has been saying "find me, find me" for some time, so today, with the tide right and overcast skies producing occasional drizzle, enough to deter the muggles, I set off. I attacked them in the opposite order to suggested, so there was a bit of confusion when RHS was actually LHS, but otherwise, thanks to clear directions and hints most of them (1 DNF) were soon found, signed and replaced as found. All were in good condition and it was nice to find a variety of containers and hides. There were just one or two dog walking muggles on the beach and no one at all on the other track or playing golf. It was a very pleasant walk, with wonderful scenery all the way, but I was pleased to finally make it home just as night was falling and treat myself to a comfortable chair and a lovely hot cup of coffee.
Many thanks to Angus88 for creating and maintaining this series, and I will give them all favourites for the wonderful area you have placed them in.

We are spending a long weekend in the beautiful township of Stanley and exploring the area and enjoying the broader North West coast. Of course geocaching is also on our mind and we are looking forward to collecting as many of the new and previously outstanding caches as possible over the next few days.
The weather was quite showery and blustery today After a nice late breakfast we decided to tackle the Nut first. The bonus of the weather was that there were lots of rainbows, even some double rainbows throughout our walk which just added to the amazing vistas.
After lunch we tackled the Tatlows Beach Loop and collected all the caches along the way. Things of note were pesky muggles for the first few caches so we had to come back to them; needed to be aware of golfing muggles along the golf course stretch the ones who’s balls had strayed came quite close to the track; there was a wonderful array of bird life around; once back onto the beach side the wind dropped the sun came out and it was glorious.

In Stanley for a couple of nights with RLD4963. It was a gorgeous sunny day today, so we were keen to tackle the caches on the Tatlow's loop. A couple of DNF's but it was such a gorgeous morning, thoroughly enjoyed our walk today.

Another awgreenhill cache this was the third of the day of yours and this cache allowed us to obtain the Let's Enjoy the Outdoors - Locationless Cache as upon arriving at the tracks entrance we immediately noticed a lot of rubbish and after thirty minutes roadside as well as along the track we filled up a number of bags of bottles, cans, plastic, paper and even an old mobile phone cover. As we wandered towards the cache collecting rubbish I noticed an unusual feature and pulled it out for a closer look and guess what it was hiding a cache! First time finding a cache without a GPS!! All is good at GZ.
A nice bit of history to be found here. Thank you for the cache from GeoMaggie and her sidekick Bonnie. With Angus 88. Last of the present caches around Stanley found now
Found with GeoMaggie2. Last one for Stanley. Found with Maggie and Mollie, my GeoWesties, while roaming around Tasmania with our motorhome “Mylittlebus” looking for content for our TASMANIA ALL OVER facebook. Join us there. Thanks for placing this cache (and others), keeping us on our exploring toes.
Found on our way out of Stanley after a weekend camping trip
Quiet enough to make this a quick easy grab and go. TFTC

While staying in Stanley we headed out with Tassie Trekkers to find this nearby cache. A nice walking track in the area. TFTC.
While camping at Black River with a group of friends and family I managed to escape for a few hours caching and got to enjoy lunch that was fresh cooked from the sea, I can recommend Hursey Seafood although I had a HUGE wait for my lunch.
Easy find for this cache.
