A hard place to reach for and check but we found it after a few minutes. The day Afer an very early morning start to make the most of the day which I had for cacheing in the area, I struggled a bit with some caches (probably not quite awake) and was very happy when TikvaNZ reached out to meet up as 4 eyes find caches more than doublle as fast. We had an awesome day driving around Mittagong and Bowral finding all sorts of caches types and getting to see some beautiful corners of these towns. Our plans for a abseil and hike had fall trhough but we made the best of it and had a ball of a time finding caches up and down the road. Search 4 had joined us around midday and now we consolidated to one car and did another couple of hours of caches around BowralThank you widge76 for putting the cache out, maintaining it and contributing to this great hobby we have. Happy trails, Flintstone's
#22651 @1245Visiting Bowral for the weekend. Yesterday's focus was the Mt Jellore walk. Today was finding as many caches as we could before it was time to head back to Canberra. The first couple of caches was on my own, then I was joined by Flintstone's for the rest of the day, and by Search4 for part of the day. Just over 50 caches (including 9 lab caches) in total. Cache soon found. TFTC.
A quick find while caching with a few geofriends. I typically dont feel comfortable looking around in the bushes near a playground but today we had the area to ourselves. TFTH
Thanks to Nacki22 for getting down low to grab this one. Found with HappyUke and Nacki22. Signed as H+H+N.
There were a few kids getting ready for soccer training on the park and one mother and child on the play equipment but I could search without annoying them. It took a while, searching at different levels and angles before I spotted the little rascal, and logged without too many scratches. Thanks for a good hide and nice challenge.
Find # 10486This cache required a bit more searching and eventually found at about waist height. The ring part had rusted and broken, so we replaced that part to secure it.TFTC widge76 26 January 2024 12:13
Thank you man! It took a bit of a dig, we didnt give up and found it finally!!!
We looked at the hint and we went to the fourth tree of the row and low and behold found! Great hide tftc!
Second time here. This was a frustrating one. Nearly gave up again but then decided to read some logs. I suddenly realised what I was looking for, I was thinking another type of cache, so decided to get on my knees and just look, still took a minute or two but eventually spotted the little bugger.
This was pretty tricky, I was passing through Bowral after dropping off some friends, and was trying to have a look around. Taking the hint, the GZ and previous log caches I was trying my best to look high and low; but might have to come with a more experienced friend to help decipher the hint more! Hopefully if I’m passing through I’ll try again
Dropping the kids off and decided to leave a little early so they could help find this one. Had a look for it a few months ago but didn't have much time and it was a lot harder then I thought it would be to find.
Today, we searched low, we dug out around the base of the trees and battled spider webs and scratchy branches and was about to give up when... my little man squealed with excitement and yelled "I found it". And there it was... how we had missed it before seemed crazy. But then, once you find a cache you can't help but see it everytime you look around.
We signed the log and replaced it. Just in time as they kids were due to be dropped off. I did however let them have a bit of a play in the park before we left. We were only 5mins late... could've been later lol.

Stay at friends house for overnight then go wollongong to see friends house .. make quick find few caches.. tks
I thought for a 1.5/1.5 this was going to be a quick easy find. It certainly wasn’t that today. I was about to give up when I thought I would just look over here and sure enough there it was.

Thankfully I found this by looking at the right thing the right way thanks for the cache
Indeed an appropriately named cache here. Took some time to look in a number of spots before finally spotting it. TFTC!
Took advantage of the clear skies and sunshine to hit the pavements and explore my new local area.
Ooh this was simple but nasty, needle in a haystack kind of search, but I got it.

With a permit to visit our Father In Law today, he wanted to stretch his legs. Good excuse to find some caches!

Me and my little brother played on the playground until the muggles disappeared. But in the end we found the cache with a little help from the hint. TFTC
24,680. Found on a Calendar Challenge filling run this cold cold and wet afternoon before heading up the highway to an event in the Southern Highlands.
With only a few days left to fill in my calendar I headed down the highway to grab some more of the US States series which are quite convenient for my requirements. With pretty consistent containers and hides I didn't have any problems with the finds today unless otherwise stated. Once that was done I headed back up the highway to Bowral and grabbed this one before the event. Having DNFed this one early last year when it was missing it was great to cross this one off the list. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, hen headed off to the club.
Thanks widge76 !!

We returned hoping to make amends for our previous visit. No one in the park! Great. Dan had some knee pads on and got down on his hands and knees ready for what we thought would be a lengthy and frustrating search. By shear good luck his nose virtually hit the cache. How easy was that. The only hard part was trying to get his creaky old body back up off the ground. TFTC Widge76. Ya gotta love caching.
First run around the Highlands in over a year, managed to fill a day with fresh smileys and still have enough reasons left over to return. Good co-ords and clue which helped to spy cache from one spot then had to spend a few more minutes re-orientating the location from an accessible point.
Slightly evil needle in a haystack find but the hint was helpful. With this find I have completed today's quest to collect all the Wonders of the World. TFTC!
#7176 (6 of 10 today)
I'd solved the seven *Puzzle Praxis* series a while ago - no great problems there - but with lockdowns, I'd not headed back to the Southern Highlands for a while. Despite the weather looking a little iffy I decided to go today, as I was hoping to up my calendar finds for today.
Got five of the seven - one DNF one DNAttempted - and then five other caches besides, including another puzzle and a Virtual. All with differing levels of wetness!
Ended up driving home barefoot as my shoes and socks were absolutely sodden.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Nice park, and a nasty hide.
It took the hint and three goes around before I got into the right spot and looked the right way.
And there it is. Phew!
Signed, replaced and on to my next target.

Hi widge76,
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 45 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
If you require more time please be sure to **post a note** (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 45 days to keep everyone up to date, if you do not then you cache may be archived without further note from a reviewer. TFTC hint definitely helps here, quick search and find. Super happy to get a smile on this one after the last four have people put DNF
Headed north for a few caches this afternoon with fitzy_1965 & GSC2000.
No luck for us here today. Had a good search but with thunder and lightning on the horizon, we didn't stay too long.

A big day in the Highlands caching today. With so many new caches popping up, there was a plethora of caches to choose from. Taking advantage of the longer daylight hours and many solved puzzles, I was able to find some good numbers.
Took a little while to find this one.
Thanks to the CO's for placing the caches I found today.

It was time to take a break from driving, stretch the legs and go for a cache. I had loaded some more onto my GPS unit last week before leaving Canberra and this was one of them. Initially I decided to try for a nearby, but I had no luck spotting it and then I read that a tree climb would be needed. Since arriving home and reading some of that one's logs I see it is up for archiving. So I moved on to this one and arrived at GZ, the old one that is. Needless to say I had no luck, even with the hint, and eventually I read some previous logs and there found out that GZ was out. So I went where one cacher suggested and it took a bit of time but eventually I spotted the hide. Just goes to teach me that I really should try to look at caches I might try for on-line before hitting the road. TFTC.
Collected a handful of caches with friends. It was nice to get out of the house despite the warm weather. Thanks For The Cache.
Great name for a park, pity he spells it wrong
