Amazing thanks so much. Strangely had a bit of difficulty finding it! We had fun finding this one as it's super close to our home and we visit here regularly. Thanks heaps
cool find just off the location that is says on the map. Smart place in the bushes, very beautiful trail. It was sadly very water damaged so could write in it.
Thanks for the cache, found twice. First attempt rejected by CO as it was a previous container that had gone walkabouts and since been replaced; second attempt (not much later) succeeded to find the correct cache. Container and contents in good condition, even if my legs may not like me as much as when I arrived to attempt it...I gotta work on fitness or something...
Found after a quick scrummage around. I can see why your family likes spending time in the area, thanks for the cache k keena.
Apologies for delay. Will organise shortly, waiting on a replacement cache to arrive
Looks like well have to replace the cache, it appears to have gone walkabouts! Should be replaced in the next week. Thanks for your patience
We found this cache today on our Whittlesea Wander. So many choices, so it was nice to finally spot it under the correct one. Thanks from D & HA B-A
After letting the GPS settle we eventually came across the prized possession. Thank you for bringing us here. TFTC W074
This one took longer than expected. Well hidden! Cache is in good condition!
Found on a nice warm Christmas eve. Geocache is safe and sound.TFTC and Merry Christmas.
A very nice walk to GZ, and then the search began - wrongly to begin with, and then looking on the other side - hey, whats that in the open? Well in amongst the debris, but not hidden. Log book is slightly damp, but otherwise all good.Re-hidden better hopefully close to GZ. Thanks for the fun. Mark started weeding whilst I typed this, so CITO as well for us!
Found on a drizzly Saturday afternoon with my 5-year old geo-buddy. Thanks for the cache k keena.
Took us a little bit longer as gps put us on wrong side but got there in the end. TFTC
Found it! We found this cache while collecting caches in the gadget trail. It took a bit of rummaging around in the grass but I eventually spotted the elusive container just sitting there waiting to be found. TFTC SL
It’s a beautiful day for geocaching today, we took the walk around this little wetland reserve, we really enjoyed it! It’s beautiful here, we can hear sheep and smell the trees. We even saw some frog eggs in the water!
I’ve signed the log, and am awarding a favourite point!

Out in the area with LetThemEatCache and Snips and Co. We loved discovering this little park and wetland. The cache was well hidden, but it finally revealed itself just as we were about to leave.
Thanks for placing for our enjoyment.

I have certainly enjoyed discovering your neighbourhood. Love this. Your boys have done a great job with their first hide. It took us forever to search, but as it happens in the best way, just as we said we were done, there it was!
Thanks k_keena and fam

We wandered over from the gadget trail to make this find. Nice area and park. A bit hard to find as our GPS kept jumping from each side of the path, but a find was eventually made by Snips and Co just as we were about to give up. Thanks for placing.
TwoEms were walking along the pipeline track with a muggle friend when we spotted a cat. It was watching us intently as we crossed the slippery slope, and then ran off as we made our way down towards the back of Yangoora Wells Wetland.
Giant River Red Gums followed us as we wandered through the sculptured landscape that snaked around them. We got a glimpse of the adventurous worlds that grew up around here, and smiled; for all the familiar bluestone and hidden secrets, we were charmed by this one.
We called out ‘hot,’ ‘warm,’ or ‘cold,’ to help our straying muggle friend, and with a chuckle and a laugh we fell back on the path. In that moment, a cyclist slammed on his breaks in front of us. We weren’t at all afraid, although we should have been, or at the very least we should have been startled, but we weren’t—for we were covered in too much magic, better known as ‘having fun’.
“I should have run you over,” the cyclist grinned.
“We’re glad you didn’t,” we said, thankfully.
He stayed on his bike eyeing us with suspicious curiosity. “What might you lot be stealing?”
“We’re not stealing anything,” one of us protested, and the other piped up, “we’re geocaching”.
With those magic words, the cyclist’s face lit up, and he began to tell us how hundreds of mad people turned up in Whittlesea last year looking for hidden treasure. We’d read about the mega event in numerous logs, and told him it happened before we started playing the game. Despite confessing to being a muggle, the cyclist seemed to know a lot about it and wanted to show us all the cool caches he knew of hidden around here. Unfortunately we didn’t have bicycles to follow up on his offer, and suspected he was talking of the gadget series along the pipeline track that we had already completed.
We chatted for a bit and showed him the geo-app. He cheerfully told us that this made his day and, before he cycled off, he said for us to carry on being mad. We hope he signs up because we’re sure he’s as mad as we are.
Thank you for the cache—it was a cool adventure.

Wandered here to find the cache. Lovely area for a walk and a well hidden cache. Thanks for bringing me here.

Traveling_Jack braved our public transport system and joined me on a short tour of caches around Fawkner Cemetery before n0w0rries arrived to take us north for some shenanigans.
So after an impromptu visit to the state's first cache, our first treated us to coffee and goodies at a cafe in Whittlesea, on our way to our target for the day: the gadget caches just south of Yan Yean Reservoir.
Which were every bit as good as, of not better than we expected.
And on our way back to the car and home, Traveling_Jack quickly found this one, which our driver for the day was the first to nab.
Thanks, k_keena.

Grandson number 2 had a day off school today so we came into this area for a day of caching. He was thrilled to find this one on his own. TFTC
The long weekend away in Alexandra had ended and after stopping in Whittlesea to do some further cache maintenance I dropped by here to grab a cache for the day.
This one initially eluded me and despite having checked in almost the exact spot the cache was in, I somehow missed it. I was just about to give up when I finally out my hands on it.
Thanks k_keena for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Found with icw. I waded into the undergrowth, looked down, and there was the cache. Tftc.
I thought I could comb through the bushes like a hairdresser, but the missing object was a tough knot to untangle.
I came over to Yan Yean to look for the nearby *gadget cache* that is now back on line... and having successfully *cracked the code* for that cache, I *wandered* off the Yan Yean pipe track and into Laurimar to find this cache.
Thanks **k_kenna** for putting this cache here.

All back up and running again with a new black container with swaps.
Happy hunting!

The Whittlesea Mega has been on and off for a long time due to that rotten COVID-19. The sad part is that due to MND I really think this could be my last Mega but I am in the area for a week thanks to my two great SA friends who travelled from SA visiting Ballarat for a couple of days and then moved down to Geelong only to pick me up and we are staying in Craigieburn for a week and then they are taking me back to Geelong. It’s generosity like that Geocaching folk are renowned for, plus all the help that I have received in the past few days which I will be forever grateful.
This guy was found , signed on the 20th Novmber with my two SA friends who are looking after the ageing Bushfire.
Sorry to see that it is missing but it was there a couple of months ago, thanks k keena for placing this cache.

After finding a certain cache on the other side of town I had some maintenance business to attend in Woodlands then in Whittlesea and then the WEGT trail has been on my radar for awhile so I had a go at that one.
After completing the trail I had to have a look at just one more and this one was it.
My knee was starting to play up and after a bit of a search I had to call it quits.
Hopefully it is still there and I just missed it today.
Thanks k_keena TFTC.
We’re all going to Rutherglen to participate in Victoria’s next Mega!
Are you coming to join in the fun?

What a way to welcome in the new year! With my day bringing myself out to Doreen, I thought to myself why not go out and grab some of this series before both:
A: The temperature goes up too much;
B: Before I go and pick up some tournament prizing I won that had arrived from the US
So with about an hours worth of time up my sleeve I made my way through the masterful series.
Thanks for the cache and the lovely morning walk.

Such a nice area here!! Bit of a harder cache to find but we eventually got there. Tftc
After a wonderful 2.5 days at the Mega, and attending the Farewell Event, we decided to find some more caches in Whittlesea before heading to the gadget trail and then home. This cache was found as part of the trail of gadget caches. We drove from the previous parking spot to near here to access the rest of the trail and found this one on the way. What a gorgeous little area, thanks for bringing us here! quiet1_au chose the right spot whilst GMelb found the access to the trail above for us to continue the gadget series.

We were passing this nice park while doing the gadget caches so stopped to look for this as well. And it doesn’t have Wanderings in the name for nothing.. we did a bit of wandering to find the cache. There's a lot of places to hide one and we looked in plenty. Found it when we were about to give up. TFTC k_keena.
Found while at the Whittlesea Mega with Roostaman.
A big long weekend of caching and events.

Still here at the mega at Whittlesea we have found a few more in the area and this was one of them.
We had a great tour around the country side finding pre solved caches and others along the way.
Thanks to all the cache owners whose caches we found today.

This one proved a hard find. Searched on the wrong side of the path until the gps settled on the other side. Help from another cacher was needed.
Thanks k_keena for the placement.

Great to be picking up some of the many puzzles and multis solved over many months and trips, as well as collecting some letterboxes and trads and whatever else was in our path.
Favourite points all round. Many are the worse for wear from all of the flooding and wet weather events..
Thanks so much k_keena for getting us out and about, and for the adventure highlights around Whittlesea.

We found this after a short detour from the gadget trail after a rummage off the path. Despite the impending rain we enjoyed the walk around the parkland, then rejoined the gadget trail.. almost forgot to log.. thanks for placing k_keena
Trying to catch up with some late logs, prior to the Mega, so some travel bugs can get dropped off. Sorry for the generic log.
Found this hide while staying around the area.
Thanks k_keena for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.
