Out for a scenic little road trip with the geo kid and geo pup. With the geo kid prepped with her geo bag filled with swappables we were good to go! Having so much fun. Found this one today log signed as CS43 to save room with SCAHPA - TFTC
Tftc. And thanks for the memories. I still have my 12" version of Bus Stop by Fatback. Sadly no longer have a record player.

My mum and dad are here on holiday, so today we went for a wander around Dayboro (and collect the required information for some multi-cache's). After a coffee and come cake we drove up to Mt Mee.
This was a nice quick find on the way.
Thanks!!

Day 15 of our Beachmere housesit.
Today, we were going on the Ferryman Cruise on the Pumistone Passage, but at the last minute, due to bad weather, it was cancelled. So, instead, muggle sister suggested a drive in the country. Of course, that meant finding a cache or ten.
The route we took from Caboolture, via Diagular to Mt Mee and Dayboro, before returning via Petrie.....
Groovy. Did a little happy dance. Quick find. Thanks Glam78

A really quick find on my way to Mt Mee…
I’d like to know if this actually gets used… perhaps for school runs… tftc…

Today's plan was D'Aguilar National Park, with a planned Community Celebration Event at The Gantry in the afternoon. On route, I found a few more of the *Pacman* series near Dayboro, and then entered D'Aguilar National park via Mount Brisbane Road. The Jeep enjoyed the mountainous terrain, and a trip to Dianas Bath was quite scenic. Then, the Jeep's 4WD-ing was tested driving north up A Break, and it was a case of being committed, that I made my way through. A final loop around Western Escarpment Forest Drive was had, before a few last stops at Falls Lookout and Bulls Falls, and Mill Rainforest Walk. On my drive returning home, I managed to attack another cluster of Dayboro geocaches, until running out of daylight.
A rather random bus stop here. I wasn't sure what this hint was meant to be referring to, but the cache was a reasonable quick find, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Glam78 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Funnily enough, we had just been discussing this song this morning as J's sister is out at Big Red near Birdsville helping to beat a world record for the Nutbush dance & I was sure it was the same steps that we used to call the Bus Stop when I was at school in the '80's.
It seemed quite a coincidence that we came across this one mentioning the song on our way home after a little drive around the lake. Nearly dark & bitterly cold outside in Ocean View, luckily it was a quick find at the bus stop.
Cute tiny rubber ducky inside. We could just catch a glimpse of the ocean down the hill.

Found while on a little road trip with the world outside to get her learner hours up thanks for the cache, quick find, the name helped us
We're out for a drive in the country and to grab any geocaches we pass. This was our first stop with a good spot to pull up our geomobile and wander over to GZ. We'll have to come back to Ocean View soon to do the local parkrun in this beautiful area!

Heading out for some 4WDing today. A bit of a late start and then traffic delays.

Catching up on a couple logs I found a couple of weeks ago. This one was a quick park and grab. Thanks for the hide.
TFTC. We have stayed behind in Dayboro for an extra couple of weeks. No reason to move when there are so many caches. Today we decided to head up to Mt Mee to do some exploring and seeing where we end up. We had been up this way previously but with school holidays the roads were busy and not always easy to pull up. No traffic today.
Nice easy find. remember the song well

After the Mega Event over the Easter Weekend, I thought it might be a wise idea to do a quick check on my caches to make sure there was enough room on the logs.
All good with this cache.

Dayboro trip. Day 12. With the Mega officially over, there was another day of caching to be done in the region. Today it was Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and SmittenGranny who joined me for a trip to Kilcoy. We spent the morning finding the Roses series that had been solved before the trip away. A fun collection of town and country caching, in the heavy rain at some times. Happily the heavy rain came after the walk was completed. I returned to Dayboro for my last night and the others headed north for more travel. It has been a great experience caching in the region and with so much more to do I will have to visit again. Bring on the next Brisbane Mega !
Having finished the Roses series I headed home via this twisty road and stopped a few times on the way home.
Thanks for the cache Glam78

Dick from Dickbev and me (Wesso) from Wesso Family ventured out to the Daboro Mega Event today.
It was Wesso & Dicko on the road again.
Prior to the event we had a few weeks solving a few puzzles and today it was time to turn a few of them into smilies.
We had a great day getting wet and dodging showers.
A big thank you to all the CO's for the great caches in this area.

#10958 - 15:20; Day seven of a road trip with Sol de lune as we head north for the CacheQLD - Dayboro Mega. After a second night in Esk, we packed up and headed off on our final leg to the Mega. High on the agenda for today was awaiting advice on the Brisbane lockdown and whether or not the Mega would actually go ahead, or whether we would be turning around and heading home early. While we waited, we set out to log the "65 Roses" geoart series in and around Kilcoy. The good news on the lockdown came between our fourth and fifth finds in the series. Now on the final leg of the trip into Dayboro, we stopped for a few finds along the Mount Mee Road. Collected a couple of the CO's caches on the way down the hill before stopping for this one. Nice quick find and sign as it turned out! TFTC Glam78
Out on a night caching run with a muggle friend this was a quick find with the torch. All signed and returned and back on our way. Tftc Glam78

Found it at 7.15am on 25 January 2021. Out doing some last minute finding before Hedwig26 and I return to work. All good with this cache. Rain starting to get heavier now. Find number 854 for this pirate Lady. TFTC.
The 1970's was somewhat before my time. Like, a *lot* before my time. But in my time, I have been subjected to the song once. And I think once was enough. But Mount Mee is a most enjoyable road and I have driven it many times. Just as I was this afternoon, largely driven by a want to poke around some new places.
I had picked out my next POI and on approach spotted a big, handy area to park up. Right near a bus stop. As I grabbed my phone I noticed my little location dot was right on top of a green icon and figured that would be a nice little bonus before I get too far away.
With nobody around, I could duck in quickly to the bus stop and the container was poked up in the first place I glanced. With a few spiderwebs brushed away, I could thread my hand through the newly cleared tunnel and make the grab.
All in good condition here and happy for a bonus smiley. I replaced as found and carried on my adventure. Thanks for this geocache, Clan-Mess

Last morning caching with geo friends Roddyc and hatzofff before going our separate ways after a long weekend in Kilkivan and D'Aguilar.
Now you've got me signing Do the Bus Stop, its one of those songs that sticks in your mind for ages. Nice quick find here though.

I LOVED doing the bus stop back in the 90’s. I feel like I was quite good at it too - although I’m not keen on seeing any video footage of me doing it...
This was a nice little stop with the hubby on our way back from brunch at Woodford.

On our drive this morning we stopped to locate this cache. A quick search at the GZ and the log book was signed. TFTC
I recall finding version 1 with an unmarked policeman parked in front of me with a speed camera lol . The policeman asked what I was up to and even came and watched whilst I found it lol . I recall him being quite keen to check out geocaching when he got home . Onto the cache! A super fast find with a most intriguing clue! Saw a funky road sign and a koala rescue van whilst we were here along with a group of harleys and mustangs. A busy spot! Tftc

Thursday. After grabbing some caches in Dayboro, we got to this cache. Pulled up at GZ and had the cache in hand quickly. It was a nice quick find. We laughed as the cool breeze brushed past our tired legs and all we could think of was what a cold wait for a bus it would be here in winter time.
This was the 12th of 16 caches found on this outing.
Thanks ***Clan-Mess*** for showing us this place
