Had my lil horsey chick with me climbing trees since head height is kinda vague for hobbits like us.GPS bounces around a bit so we have a fair go at a few trees.decided that the possum trap was not a cleverly disguised cache.Still a couple to find so will have another look another time.

We were looking in the wrong tree here at first but got ourselves sorted and found the right spot. Thank you for the history was intresting. What a beautiful spot to visit. Kid had a blast playing here, climbing things and lots to look at with the view for us adults. TFTC

what a wonderful spot, thanks to the owner to bring us here ... Smilewe had to look around a bit as there are a few trees "suitable as a cache location" ... in the end we found it. TFTC

Nice walk on the peninsula! The Birkenhead ferry just passed by, otherwise we would have been tempted to go skinny dipping here the cache was found in good shape, just like us tftc

A brilliant wee spot! No muggles around so it was an easy retrieval. Bit blowy today, but great playing in the trees and the water! TFTC

Out caching today as Team LARPS. After dnfing at a previous cache it was good to find this one. Lycurgeon was the one who managed to find it, he definitely had an advantage over the rest of us. Lovely view from this point. Thanks for the cache #1626

Great spot. A note to parents of young kids. You don’t need to go near the cliff edge!

A solo excursion for Mr Coblet.
The weather forecast today wasn't great but so far it had been fine so I headed straight to this cache after I arrived at the reserve because I knew it would be a bit slippery getting to it if the rain started.
There were a few dog walkers around but I mostly had the area to myself and enjoyed the walk.
I had to step carefully once on the path to GZ as it was still quite muddy but I got there without incident.
I really love this section of the park, such a nice little haven and I enjoyed looking at the view before searching for the cache. All the storms and bad weather have caused a bit of damage and tree falls but nothing too severe.
For some reason my phone GPS went crazy and was giving me all sorts of conflicting information so I decided to ignore it and use my geosenses, which must have been working perfectly today as I found the cache in the first place I checked.
Nice hide, thanks G-2

07-May-23
Came for a walk with a non caching friend. Found the cache but of course I had no pen (CO has givern permission to log anyway). Fun to hunt and read the history of the area. The walkway here is apparently much narrower since the recent weather storms. TFTC

Despite the rain, I wanted to get a few caches this weekend. I headed to Paremoremo to pick up Sid, and we decided to go for a walk around Sanders Reserve and see what we could find!

We ended up with 5 DNFs (aka reasons to come back) and 8 finds, with 6 not attempted. Definitely an excuse to come back!

This didn’t take us long to find! Thanks to previous cachers for replacing it!

Checked the tree, not there. Def blind

22-Jan-23
We came out to Sanders Reserve today to enjoy a late afternoon stroll. There were plenty of others out doing the same, but none anywhere near Paremoremo Point - except out on the water. We knew that this cache might be missing so came armed with a possible replacement. We checked out potential hiding places and left a large camoed pill bottle in the best one. TFTC

This geocacher reported that the cache might be missing.

No luck here today. The team had a good look around, but couldn't locate. Will just have to come back again in the future with my bike.

19-Jun-22
Team G0LD on a mission again today, with the 4 hiders event in the afternoon the main target. A walk around Sanders Reserve at Paremoremo was also planned if the weather held up, and it did, thank goodness.

Made our way across the narrow isthmus that was quite slippery after the overnight rain out to this one. All 3 of us searched hard for 10 minutes or more. We were sure we located where the cache would have been hidden, but nothing there today. The ground all around is absolutely barren, so no chance of us being successful like Gorby. Spoke to him at the event later in the day and he confirmed we were looking in the right spot, so I guess this one is MIA, unfortunately.

Thx for bringing us to a picturesque spot we would never otherwise have visited.

When I locked up my e-bike to a sign post, I wandered down the point to GZ. Well, what do I see? I see a 200 ml camoed sistema laying on the ground by the tree roots. I picked it up, thinking this must be the cache hide that should have been well hidden. Opened up the log book, see that I had FTF'd this back in 2015. No worries, I thought the C.O had reused this book for this cache hide. So signed myself in, but then I went head high to replace the cache and what do I find? I found what the cache page said... a small pill bottle. Now I have 2 caches... so if the sistema fell out of the tree, how come no other cacher reported it being there at some stage?

Surely if 2 caches had been close together, someone might say so in their log, don't you think? I can't understand it really. I contacted the C.O later when I got home, he reckoned he could not find his original cache, even more weird, hence his replacement pill bottle. So when I found the pill bottle I signed in on that, the previous finder rafajaw had done so, and I signed under his name.

So not to bring anymore confusion to the matter, I took the sistema away with me, and I shall return it to the C.O Glyn. Later I rang the C.O and we had a good laugh about it all. Such a strange situation, hence a FP for the weirdness.

Yooooo, what an awesome spot for a cache this was! Leaned up my bike against a post and rushed down the slope and enjoyed my walk down the peninsula Smile Didn't have this all to myself though as there were a group of kids playing a game which I suspect was "Manhunt", "Vampire", "Gang up", "Infection" or whatever name you want to call it. I swear, that game has so many different name variations! This made it quite tricky as it was hard to be stealthy while searching for this one. Eventually, they moved over to one area and I dashed in to make a nice, quick find in the first place I checked. TFTC G-2!

Had recently been given a training schedule for a sport that I do called "Adventure Racing" as we have national qualifiers coming up next month. Part of the requirements were to go on a 15km bike ride... I had other ideas though as I wanted to go on a big bike ride from Northcote to Paremoremo and collect a few caches up this way including GC5P2YZ as it would fill in a D/T rating Wink All in all, I ended up enduring a 46km bike ride which is by far the longest I've done in recent times... Pretty good I say considering I developed a bit of a light fever halfway through the ride! Thanks to the CO's for their hides Very Happy

found with flossieteacake. while we have both been to this park many times we have never been along this bit until now. it was really cool and if it werent for the cache we wouldnt have known this spot was here. TFTC

Magic spot is a bit of an understatement for where this cache is. It was like an End Blyton adventure, the kind of place you want a jolly picnic with ginger beer or hot chocolate.
Found the hiding place but I couldn't find the cache. Luckily GeohoundandI is slightly taller with longer arms, and she stood on something, and had the cache in her hand.
Would never have ventured this far down if it wasn't for the cache, and can't wait to come back to one of those hidden beaches.

Very windy today but cool hiding location!

04-Jul-21
Out for a walk around Sanders Reserve with AliGle on this beautiful day. I've cached here before, but took the opportunity to grab some of the newer ones. There were a few muggles here and we made this a bit trickier by looking around the wrong tree! Once we shifted focus, the cache was soon found. Nice spot here. TFTC!

Out for a walk around Sanders Reserve with Vistra on a beautiful Sunday. There were a few muggles about and it took us longer than it should have to find this one by looking around the wrong tree. A change of focus and the cache was soon in hand.

Find number 7024. On a mission with ABCDF4 and eyespyben to grab a few caches in this area. I really enjoyed the walk around this park. Lots of people and dogs in one area while it was quiet in the other half. Thank you for bringing me here.

12-Sep-20
Tried several places around GZ but nothing was evident to me. Maybe another day.

05-Sep-20
The rest of the reserve was nice, but the peninsula was really quite windy. I had to dodge a dog that menaced me along the way. He looked mean with the muzzle he was wearing. TFTC.

We think it’s up in the tree

Made our way carefully to this beautiful spot.Didnt realise the drop was going to be quite so big.Managed to find the cache easily enough. Not long until it gets dark so need to head back now.We will be back another day.

19-Jul-20
Despite the recent rain it was not too slippery here and back but just needed careful stepping and watching ones footing. Soon arrived in the vicinity and after reaching where I thought it might be I was rewarded with the cache and added my name. All good and stopped for a couple of pics of the view up and down.

Well it seems we truly are in G-2 land, 2nd weekend day caching and a second double figure haul day, a modest 11 for today to add to yesterdays 10 in Long Bay and an increase in this CO's caches nudging a few South Island cache hiders down 'the list'. A good day to be out today, just a little bit of squally rain then clear and sunny for the rest of the day. Was a bit squishy underfoot in places, but nothing my sneakers didn't cope with.
Looks like I'm just a week behind South Island Kiwimykl and NZDi for the second day in a row and a great place out here at Sanders Reserve. I had slight hopes of clearing the lot but a DNF and patience losing wife had me dialling back the targets and pledging to return for the rest another time.

10-Jul-20
Another G-2 DNF for us and it wasn't as though we didn't give it a good looking for. We probably spent more time looking for this than the previous six finds we found in the park today. C:geo wouldn't lock in on any particular tree and our caching eyes were to tired to find it.

22-May-20
I agree it is a magic spot. The tide was out, but what an amazing view. As to the cache, started searching in one tree, then a group of muggles with there music box blaring arrived. So over to the next one, reached, and there was the cache.

No one seemed to care what was happening behind them. With log signed, I was soon on my way. Another fun find today G-2

Love this spot! Dogs very keen in what was happening over the edge, yikes. A little trickier find this one, great camo!

16-Feb-20
Had to hang on tight to my young pup here, after she became very interested in a fisherman at the bottom of the cliff. Luckily we managed to find the cache relatively quickly - mostly thanks to the hint. Excellent camo! Tftc.

15-Feb-20
This is maybe the 3rd cache I have found out here, the first one was well before all the developments and the walk out to the point is always a pleasurable one. Thanks for re doing this cache.

I decided to take advantage of this day off work to go for a walk around Sanders Reserve and find the new hides recently placed out that way. So, after lunch I made my way out into the hot sun for some exercise and cache finding. After finding "carved tree" I continue along the path and out to the point. I recall enjoying my visit out here this last time and this time is no different. Nice to be in the shade, out of the blazing sun, enjoying a good breeze. Tried a couple of spots before getting the right GZ. Nice views from up here. Favourite point applied. Cheers for the cache placement and for the exercise this afternoon!

06-Feb-20
I wanted to get out for a walk and grab a few caches on this public holiday and picked this relatively close park. I managed to find eight of the ten caches I attempted which is not bad in under two hours.
What a cool little peninsula!
There were some fishermen down from GZ but it was an easy find so they probably never knew I was there.

So excited to find a really easy hide after a long hunt a few weeks ago .
Out with nette1234.
Cool camo!

Fabulous camo
Thanks for the replacement

27-Jan-20
Set out early with Merlot58 as it was forecast to be a scorcher of a day. This was truly a magical spot today with the tide in and the sun shining. Merlot checked out one tree, while MrsJAG checked out the other and we soon had the camo'd cache in hand.

27-Jan-20
It's a lovely walk to the point, the tide was in and a few dog walking muggles were enjoying the walk as well. We weren't sure of which tree so I searched one and Mrs Jag searched the other and came up with the goods.

27-Jan-20
So quiet here at GZ on Auckland Anniversary Bank Holiday Monday. Decided to have little break and near cache location. Nice and handy one. TFTC!

26-Jan-20
It was time to head back out to Sanders Reserve to find all the new caches that had appeared this week. I left early to find a few more on the way and to complete the walk before it became too hot.

This was such a wonderful cache to walk to, along the trail here surrounded by the ocean on both sides. The tide was in and there were a few muggles with their dogs in the water, people fishing off the rocks at the end and a family on a jetski and doughnut. Cache was quickly located far enough away from the edge.

FTF with AlunB. Well and truly a magic Spot, and great to have the breeze.
We made this one harder than it needed to be, dismissing the obvious, until this time AlunB had the 'girl' look. TFTC

23-Jan-20
Its so nice that in NZ you don't need to worry about snakes and other really nasty critters when reaching into places unknown. Came back to the first place Helefant and I started and had a better look, oh and a blank [FTF] log, TFTC
