Thank you for this cache! Did the 12k walk from Anchorage to Marahau and this was a nice find at the end of the track. A beautiful scenic spot as well Cheers from Finland
EN : The Abel Tasman Coast Track is coming to an end for us. We enjoyed superb landscapes and viewpoints but also the sun . All the caches we searched for will all be found. Thank you to all the installers for the work carried out for our greatest pleasure. Greetings from France. Our Travel Bugs pass through this cache but do not come out of our backpack; they continue the adventure with us. Trip to New Zealand, decided very quickly , but that didn't stop us from preparing a small file of caches to search, as far as possible. The GC46 was, of course, at the top of that list! and there you have it, we visited it during our stay in Wellington. Yesss!! Our program should allow us to discover a large part of this country.FR : l'Abel Tasman Coast Track arrive sa fin, pour nous. On my NZ travels I finalky got to Abel Tasman Nationalpark, I was really looking forward to that because I remembered it as one of the lovliest spots - and it still is stunning.Fund Nr. 1383
Quick find but log is soaked and I couldnt write on it. Off we go to explore the cave
When looking for a day trip that included caching and a bit of a challenge it seemed that the track up to Holyoake Clearing from Marahau ticked all the boxes. I started at Coquille Bay and was happy with the pace I set warming up considering the decent frost. The coords and the hint made for a quick find. The log was to wet to sign so a pic was taken in lieu. The hide was unexpected, nice one. Thank you BigglesNZ
Liked the cache a lot, especially the design of it! The logbook was a bit wet, a new ziplock back might be good.TFTC
Found it on our hike with the kiddos. The log got a little wet due to the plastic bag being ripped. TFTC!
A quick find on our leisurely hike today. Another lovely viewing point at this one. Soon found and signed. Tftc
Made the hike from Mrahau to the Anchor point and back. Found this one on the way . TFTC
Gevonden samen met Bald Eagle op onze trip door Nieuw Zeeland op 7 mrt. 2024 16:10. Dank je wel BigglesNZ voor deze cache. Groetjes van mij 1632 uit Eindhoven
After doing the Coastal Track from Mrahau to Awaroa I still had such a desire to wander, so I decided to give the Inland Track a chance. And because I already had some caches in this area I wanted some more, up to the Castle Rocks.Superquick findTFTC #554
Found with Dali87 within our famous trip around New Zealand. Thanks for nice cache ....................................................................... TB Koumesovo geopivo DDEV7M
Again in Abel Tasman national park. And another part oh this amazing country. Thanks for this cache. Greetings from Slovakia.
My first find along the Abel Tasman track, and first overall in the Tasman region too. Started the walk from Mrahau, headed to Anchorage for the night. A cool little detour with a simple cache, thanks for keeping it here!
Tftc. First time I've seen that physical form of cache.Out for a day walk with extended family. Kids loving the beach.
I am with Muggle on a three and half week trip to NZ. Nothing serious, just the well trodden track every NZ tourist does who is coming from the other side of the world and has not the chance to come here more often. North Island is done, Auckland Coromandel, Rotorua and Wellington touched. Now we arrived in Picton and transfered to Motueka. Idea was to do a day trip into Abel Tasman NP. Any place nearer the entrance to the NP was already occupied or to expensive for our budget so we stayed at this little village. Next we were off the well visited track. We were quite early on site fearing that the parking lot would overflow. But at 8:30 situation was still relaxed. What a beautiful hike! I enjoyed this tremendous views at the landscape very much. The hint was very useful since the camo for the log could not be better.Thx for hiding.

Thanks for the cache in this beautiful place! Put a piece of paper, 'cos logbook is wet. Greetings from Poland!
Cache was found exactly according the hint and description.Nice little findTFTC
Nice quick find as we head towards the finishing line on our walk from Anchorage Bay to Marahua visiting all the bays.
Today we took the first AquaTaxi of the day to go to Anchorage. We then walk the Pitt Head Lookout and the return track to Marahau. I found some caches along the hike. Thank you for putting these caches along this beautiful trail. Some of them were wet so I took pictures of the logbook.Greetings from France Really easy to find, unfortunately the log is really wet and it is impossible to write on it.
Nice to be out in the bush on a hot day. Log is too wet to write on. Might be back this way in a couple of days so will try to find a replacement bag
#5.680After looking through a couple of options we finally got the right spot and one. The logbook is wet and you can't write on it even though we tried it.TFTC says team mastba from Hamburg/Germany
Took a wee search, but after reading a few previous logs, returned to the obvious location and had cache in hand. Unfortunately, the cache has been a victim of felices of a local animal, so we hope CO can accept a scenic shot from today;P
I'm visiting New Zealand for a tour around the country . I have already visited many places on the North Island. Now I'm on a tour around the South Island. While enjoying the sightseeing I also visit some caches. This is one of them. Thank you for showing me the place and thank you for the cache . Greetings from Switzerland .
After kayaking to a nice little beach with some other people I was hiking back to the barn and stopped for a few caches along the way. This sure is a wonderful part of NZ.

Dismissed the obvious area as there was a rubbush bag there! But investigated carefully and managed to sign the wet log. Muggled by a weka? Beautiful spot. Will award a favourite tftc
There were quite a few people on the track a beautiful day for tramping or just a day walk I have been to Tinline Bay few times tftc BigglesNZ
TFTC. Brilliant. Lucky I’ve seen one of these before or I might have had a different result. Very high muggle area and initially I thought it’d gone.
During our hike along the trail we found this cache. Our first one in New Zealand! TFTC!
Quick find, and I was able to keep my big pack on. I signed for jup and Bill as well since they were nearby. We are close to the end of our 4 day backpacking trip.
Smith kids and Murray kids found today. Thanks! (Niamh excited to see another Neve found just before us today)
We got a water taxi to Anchorage and walked back to Marahau. A fabulous day.ended up with egg on my face here. My walking companion found it before I did. He's still giving me stick about. TFTC
another quick find on our Christmas morning stroll, log was very damp did my best to sign. TFTC
Located this cache towards the end of my north- south journey down this amazing walk. Log was a bit wet / difficult to sign but I took a photo of the CO would like to see. TFTC!!
I am hiking up the Inland Track, but stopped just long enough to find this cx, too. TFTC.
Last find after a stunning long weekend at the Abel Tasman. Even in winter this is breathtaking (the view, at some points also the walk with a 20kg backpack..).
Can't wait now to get a warm shower and a good dinner.
Can't wait now to get a warm shower and a good dinner.
For this time of the year we good very lucky with the weather walking the track. We spend 3 nights in hut and 2 nights we had the whole place for ourselves. Found some geoaches on the way. TFTC
Day 3 of our 3 day walk from Totoranui to Marahau. We stayed at the lodges, which was very nice and we had great weather! MrNZT and Keylev were running out of time to catch our bus in the last hour of the walk so started running between caches! AFter that much walking you can't say they weren't dedicated!! MrNZT found this one, TFTC!
Day 3 of our 3 day walk exploring the area. Unfortunately due to the boat being late into Apple Bay with one of our team on board we were in a bit of a tight spot to make the bus on time so from here on Mr NZ Travellers and I pretty much ran from cache to cache and to the end of the track….huff puff!!
Thought we wouldn’t be able to get this one based on where we were but as we headed along the main track we realized where we needed to be and soon had the cache in hand. Nice camo - almost caught Mr NZT out!
Thanks for the cache.

Out for a walk up a hill to Holyoake clearing. The beach was all quiet this morning. I went straight to the hide but missed it. Widened my search and returned to realise that I’d probably previously had it in my hand. Nice camo.

Time for a wee family summers holiday; Kaikoura, Picton and Nelson.
After Kaikoura and Picton, time for a wee stay in Richmond with family....Mr TG grew up in Richmond. After lunch at nearby restaurant (sisters 50th tomorrow!) we all came out for a short walk along the track to Tinline bay (the first stop on many a school camp! ahh the memories).....all my school camps growing up were Marahau/Totaranui & walking the able tasman track. Nice quick find here by R of Mum2JER on a not too busy but hot day....after the find and sign we moved out onto the beach/rocks to find some crabs and whatever else....Thanks.

One of the youngest in the crew found this one. Great wee cache. Then off to look for crabs under the rocks on the beach. TFTC.
Found with SaphiB. Nice camo, even walked away and didn't spot it until I came back to double check
This is as far at we're going tofay. JD made the find.
We're on our first summer campervan trip. JDScout and I plan to do three this summer. This trip is from Christchurch to Motueka to Blenheim and back.
Thanks for hiding this cache BigglesNZ I appreciate it. It has helped add an extra layer of fun in our holiday.

Found with Kiwimykl. It is Marlborough Anniversary weekend and we are holidaying at Kaiteriteri with our extended family of ten. Back home we have been doing the Marlborough Everest Challenge in which the idea is to climb hills over a seven week period enough times to add up to 8848m which is what Sir Ed did back in 1953. We have passed the 8848m mark but with three weeks to go, are trying to see if we can double summit. There are not many hills in the area over the 246m minimum qualifying height to log an ascent, but Kiwimykl noticed the Inland Route gained sufficient elevation for a qualifying ascent so we left the rest of the whanau to their own devices and went up the track for a 354m addition to our total. Of course there was the odd cache along the way to break up the trip and this was the second of them.
Having taking a photo of the information board back about 1.2km for a future trip and missed the next traditional because we were not paying attention, this was our next find. We headed down the short side track and were in the middle of searching for the cache when a group of trail runners headed our way. The got quite close before realising they were on the wrong track and back-tracked, but they didn't notice us. Thanks to a great hint and good coordinates, the well camouflaged cache was quickly found (and almost discarded). The log was signed and the cache returned as found. Now all we had to do was wait until the clock in Seattle ticked over to the right time before logging so we could gain some altitude on the Reach the Peak challenge.

Walking from Totaranui to Marahau over Queens Birthday weekend... Failed miserably to get my offline list sorted on my phone (amateur much) - so most of the trip was non caching... to be fair it was pouring down for those 3 days so I wasn't prepared to hunt in the rain anyway.
Today it is beautiful... after a wet 3 days it is so nice to dry out.
Nicely disguised cache.... TFTC BigglesNZ

Found this one by accident. Wandered off the track and saw the classic sign of a cache
A quick find here, thanks for the clear instructions.
Found during a walk with my new walking group, introduced a muggle to the game, and may have a new cacher in the making.

On a walk to go to Coquille beach for a bit of a chilled day, found this one along the way. Nice camo here. TFTC.
A nice wee stop on the way from Anchorage to Marahau with Madcow2 and Mumandme and Abbykitt. TFTC
Took miss 6 a wee bit before she realised she had actually found it. Great cache
A quick find with Tregearp out for an afternoon walk on the Able Tasman after torrential rain yesterday. All in good order. Thanks for another BigglesNZ cache.
A quick find with SJT_NZ while enjoying a walk in ATNP, thanks BigglesNZ for the cache all in good order and a clever play on the local camo.
