Up this way with ABCDF4 for a few daysSo to the CO for making our time away enjoyable
This was cool. We landed, walked around and spotted a likely looking set of wood, and sure enough, piggy was found. TFTC
Our third cache on our Stillwater kayaking adventure. No one was around, so it was nice and easy to start the search. It didn't take long before the caching senses started tingling and of course that is where the cache had to be. This one gave us a bit of a laugh. These spits are really lovely places to explore, great locations for caches. TFTC #1745
Yay! We found it!!! Log signed and home for a well earned beer and wine TFTC
Was really bummed to not get this one, especially since a muggle told me hed stumbled across the coolest thing ever and it was this cache.
Easy find when I got there.
Recommend high tide if you like a view.
And mid to low tide for the birds.
Thanks G-2 for taking me somewhere I never would have gone.

Thank you. Great spot. Would never have ventured out here I'd it were not for the cache
Walking from Stillwater over a very muddy trail we managed to find a few caches like this one on the way. TFTC
Last one for the day as the sky was getting dark & i could smell rain coming. And i still had to walk back to my car. Made hard work of getting to the spit as i zig zagged following the blue & pink ribbons. Finally got to GZ & laughed when i found the cache. Nice camo. TFTC
The Stik-A-Crane's planned to do this costal walk and a nearby series on a road. Mr and Mrs HeMaLuDy decided to join them for the adventures. Beautiful weather allowed us to really enjoy this very pleasant coast line. Followed the hint for a nice quick find of the container with its cool cammo. Lovely spot here to get to the waters edge to view the parked up boats and to clean Mr HeMaLuDy's hand from the previous caches adventures. TFTC
Headed up this way again as we spotted a trail of challenge caches we had qualified for, so thought to make a day of it...Joined by team HeMaLuDy, well actually HeMa only .....
Parked up and headed along the trail to this cache ....
Luckily the weather was on point for the walk, but still managed to get soaking socks as the grass was saturated from the days before rain and a heavy due this morning...
The cache was found in good condition after I managed to wrangle it away from the guardian....
TFTC.

Went for a night mission, was a fun find. Nice view even at night allgood here
I can’t see too many people making their way out here. Great spot to watch the boats
Out on a morning walk with Cobra089. Bit of bush bashing but easy find when in the right place. Thanks
We found the nearby "A hard spit" last year and at the time someone seemed to be camping very close to GZ so we were pleased that there was no evidence of camping today as we headed past to look for this one.
We were anticipating a bit of a bush bash but were pleased to find that apart from a couple of slightly tricky places it wasn't too bad. It seems there has been a track here before that hasn't been maintained which we tried to follow.
We did however encounter an unexpected problem as we both were allergic to something in the area, probably some sort of pollen in the air.
The situation escalated throughout our journey so that by the time we got to GZ we each had red weeping eyes, runny noses and were sneezing continuously, having to feel our way ahead through the resulting blurred vision. If we had encountered anyone they would probably have thought that we were either very sick, had received some very bad news or that we were lost and crying at our misfortune. But fortunately our sorry state was not witnessed by anyone.
Due to our predicament the search took us a little longer than it normally would but our already weeping eyes intensified with additional tears of joy when we located the cache and its iconic guardian.
A return journey through the forest of allergies was unavoidable so we took a deep breath and headed back towards the main track (in hindsight a deep breath was a little foolish).
Fortunately we were once again lucky that there was no one around when we returned to the more breathable air of the trail, nor when we were blowing our noses, tipping water into our eyes and brushing ourselves down.
Finally we had composed ourselves enough to look somewhat human again and continued along the trail, sneeze free.
Thanks G-2 for a memorable cache. A favourite point from us.

Great cache in a lovely spot.
We have a boat in the boat club opposite, but today its a kayak trip.
Ironic to think we are ascending Kilimanjaro at the same time.

I'm not convinced that this little piggy stayed at home, or had a meat based meal, but he sure looked disappointed to see me today. Almost looked deflated somewhat! All good and added my name. From here I could see the next target spit across the mud so wandered across the muddy shore and back onto terror firmer (I do like a bit of Lat-tin now and then).
A double pronged geocaching attack on the area North of me; first up was a trip to the wonderful Stillwater and get all those here and there caches that have been previous DNFs or just not attempted as too far off the main trail when my companions haven't liked the diversion option. This was followed by a quick dash to Orewa for one before finishing off out on the Whangaparoa peninsula grabbing random caches here and there. Two dozen was the haul and the day was a combination of blazing sunshine and warmth, and Sou-Wester gusts and torrential rain dropping the temp down to low-double digits, strange weather day. Thanks to all (both?) COs for their placements.

This one made us laugh! Didn't take long to locate once we made it through the bush. Tftc
Mmmm, pig on a spit, yum! This spit is the hardest one to walk through to get to the end but we got there and Mrs Jag found piggie
Out with Merlot58 to find some of the newly released caches in Stillwater. Lots of different trails lead to gz, and once there it wasn't long before we had the pig in hand. Very cute little pig indeed!
I came up to Stillwater specifically to clean out the replacement caches along this trail. Great idea for the name of the cache and the hide. TFTC.
Making my way along the trail as I enjoy a lovely Spring day and a walk from Weiti to Stillwater, collecting some hides along the way. I am on the return leg now, but not before I venture out along this third spit and find one last geocache. As I walked out along this spit I concluded that it had the thickest vegetation of the three. Once at GZ the the hide was located in the first spot I checked. Nicely themed container. Right, time to complete the return leg and head for home. Cheers for the cache placement and for the exercise!
Out for a walk with Team Welsh on a beautiful clear spring day. The walk out to the Pig on the spit was a little hard going for one of us with limited vision at the moment, with the danger of further damage from the low poking branches. So we left him halfway which turned out to be lucky as he noticed there was another cache close by we had not found yet. Once at the point we circled the hint item and soon spotted a potential hide. Got a brief shock at the find until we understood what we were looking at. Spruced the pig up a little for a photo shoot, then returned him to his undignified hiding spot. The return walk along the beach was a lot easier going. TFTFun. Adding a Favourite point.
Sort of knew what to expect but the cache looks a little gruesome when squashed in like that. Mrs kc took a pick to show Mark who we left further inland to find another cache that we has found but they hadn't. Walked back along the shore which was much easier .

Teamed up with AliGle and KirsTim today for an afternoon's caching around the Stillwater area. We met up at Stillwater, left a car there, drove around to Ara Weiti Road, collecting the caches along there, then walked the Okura Bush Walkway back to Stillwater. The logs were signed as V.A.K. as an acronym of our user names. All up it was a fun afternoon out! A quick find out on the point here - very cute container. TFTC!
Unsuitable for the elderly like us. Very muddy en route but thank you all the same from Howard and Kath Manchester UK
Lovely and peaceful out here ...
Could have been a swine to find ....but Nette1234 was straight onto it!
Stunning place for our lunch break
Thanks G-2.

Scotty using locating this hide as a means to achieving the final km's in her personal 200 km's in May challenge.
Took longer to find than anticipated as it was very well hidden but very pleased when located. Another (FTF) on the spit. TFTC
Favourite point given to this cache for all the new caches you have recently placed. Lovely location to visit and wander around.
