We are on a caravanning trip around Australia seeing the sights and finding a few caches along the way. After visiting the museum we decided to ride the Western Loop. Arrived at GZ and was decided I was going to head out. I thought I spotted the cache in a different location which I am glad it wasn't when my partner pointed out the actual cache. Phew that is much easier. I took it easy and was thinking the while time make sure you don't drop the cache. Thanks for placing this cache here for us to enjoy and find. Have added a fav point
Managed to get out and back with nothing more than wet toes which I expected so that was good. The log was signed and replaced as found. TFTC
Wow, it did feel like walk on water. Don't do it in high heel boots... Didn't lose the cache, but did lose my snack which fell out of my pocket as I reached for the cache
GG1 retrieved this one, she made it look easy . Me not so much, soooo close to getting wet but being a landlubber I wasnt going near the wet part. Thanks Tankengine.
Early start for Muggle65 and me to hopefully avoid the traffic and muggles. Pleased to say we had the place to ourselves. Managed to stay totally dry which was a blessing as it felt like minus one degree outside. Thank you for the fun
#7679 Were caching around Canberra with Mighty Minions today, grabbing specific DT squares as we go. Samuel sloshed out for this one, cool grid square. Thanks for the cache!
#7679Its MEGA time once again, this time in the Capital! Day 5!Today were just cruising around, filling holes in our 7th and 8th loop with Mighty Minions, along with grabbing any interesting or rare DTs end copy paste Took a while to spot, but Daniel saw it from afar and I stripped to barefeet and made the wander out along the plank, only had one near-miss but caught myself! Nice little climb, only got slightly wet! TNLN SLThanks for placing and maintaining this cache Tankengine
Out caching with Team737 today and stopped for this cache. Took quite a while to spot before Samuel set of to make the retrieval making it look easy and not getting his feet wet. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
Out and about again, headed over to Sydney early in the morning, grabbed a hire car and got some local hides before driving to Canberra for the MEGA. Super excited my first MEGA and heading over with 2 others from the Cockburn Crew - signed log as WAC to save time. This is 14155, hoping to clock over the 15,000 finds in the week in New South Wales and ACT.Thanks to Tankengine for the caches we found.********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********Head over to Australian Capital Territory for Capital GeoBash MEGA - Canberras first ever Mega Event. Exciting times over the next couple of weeks as we takeoff for the Capital GeoBash in Canberra! Its going to be a flood of Sandgropers over east, with a host of West Aussies making the trek east for the event. Im travelling with fellow Cockburn Crew members Leg5 and Barnzy12, starting in Sydney and hitting the road to Canberra, before returning back to Sydney. Honourary mention to our fellow member, Cravo10, who couldnt make it after recently introducing a new geocacher to the world the week prior. Once in Canberra, the agenda is set, well team up with a host of Western Australians to conquer caches. Collectively, were hoping to make it the biggest ever weekend for cache finding. Following the event, the journey continues back to Sydney, with a mission to clean up caches and new Local Government Areas (LGAs), ensuring no cache is left unturned in this epic geocaching adventure. Something tells me that well need a holiday after this, well, holiday. All logs have been signed as WAC to save space, abbreviation for Western Australia Crew. Cheers Tankengine! Join us in Augusta, in Western Australias South West, for WA Goes Big 2024 (GCAGV8Y) on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September. Log your will attend now!
Cockburn Crew on tour to the Canberra Mega. Day 1 involved a bunch of caching around Sydney before making our way to Canberra for the Capital Geobash. We found a huge variety of caches, and its great to cache in new territory that we havent explored much in the past. Unlike our home state of Western Australia where we have found just about anything and everything.A beautiful day with great weather and even better company. Thank you to the local COs for a great day in and around this great country of ours.
Found during the Mega event. Tankengine, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and for highlighting this area. ?? I had fun here because I was able to retrieve the cache without falling over, even though my balance wasnt great.
Out exploring with WACrew, signing WAC, while we are visiting for the mega. Another big day today. Thanks for the hide. What a mission here!
Since I'm in Canberra for Mega, I've enjoyed seeing many places as well as the warm weather.Well done pwala. Look g after her to make sure she is ok Here's one to find today.Thank you for placing the cache ?? Tankengine.
During GeoBash Mega,With Deaf Group. We enjoyed searching, finding and signing the log. Thanks to pwala for daring to get the log sheet for us..Thank you for organising the puzzle and hunt. FP from me
Quick find after work, perhaps not in the best footwear for the task at hand! Walk on water went well but alas couldnt turn water into wine this time TFTC!
You know - I have come to love Tankengine's caches! I walked out for a bit and couldn't see anything.I went back again.I walked out on a slightly different angle and I could see the geocache back where I first was!I went back again.I went out in the first direction, further, carefully, under and over things, and made it to the cache.Log signed and returned in good condition, I returned safely to the land with barely the sole of my shoes getting wet Thanks for another great geocache, Tankengine!
Decided to check on this, and discovered that it was missing!Cache replaced.GOOD TO GO!!!
Although we looked for a while we didnt see anything. Maybe missing. TFTC Nice cartridge.
A trip to ACT with Chewinprickles - Day four, back on the deadly treadlies with Captain Tomato.
We rode across to Weston Park then back past Parliament.
A lovely day for caching.
Chewin was the one who attempted to walk on water for us. He did a good job, only getting slightly wet.
Thanks, Robmc.

There were three of us here and I drew the short straw so shoes and socks off and into the fray. Managed to complete it without getting very wet, which was a possibility seeing I tested the depth with a stick.
Thanks again Tankengine, and another fav

Chewy managed to collect this cache for the three of us. I've seen the magician Dynamo do this trick (walk on water) but I'm sure Chewinprickles outclassed him.
Catching up with late logsWe joined forces with Alansee, maccamob, McLookers, micaparamedic, moonb1, Muzza, Pprass and Rabbito to try our luck at a few Adventure Labs and any thing else that was close by.We had looked at this one and had come to see what was involved and we weren't that keen on getting wet and as we stood around discussing it McLookers decided to take one for the team and headed off to gz and not too long after that we heard the sound that ewe liked and knew she had found it.much to all our delights. To save room in the logs we signed as Vic1Many thanks Tankengine for this cache.
We found this cache on Day 3 of our Vic1 Canberra Run in company of Muzza, McLookers, Micaparamedic, Alansee, Moonb1, Maccamob, Team Crackers and Pprass. A lovely place in the late afternoon. McLookers took one for the team here, then Pprass gave his coat to dry her feet. Just like Sir Walter Raleigh. Thanks from D B-A
Found with Moonb1, McLookers, Maccamob, Muzza, Pprass, Team Crackers, Rabbitto et al on another day caching in the Canberra Area.
Day three of group caching in Canberra. All caches signed as Vic1. Found in a large group consisting of McLookers, Micaparamedic, Alansee, Moonb1, Rabbitto, Team Crackers, Maccamob and Pprass.
My thanks for the cache, Tankengine.
My thanks for the cache, Tankengine.
Found at 3:11 PM in the company of the Vic 1 team
A tough cache just to spot it to start with! Then how to get to it with what we had and so Tania says she will go out by taking shoes and socks off. Gets the cache signs it for all of us and then gets back, but refuses to go any further unless someone gets a towel for her to dry her feet - high maintenance eh! Anyway after a few runners were sent out to get a towel for her that was going to take ages to arrange, I just threw my hoodie jacket at her and said "here - just use this!" And so were then soon on our way
Day 4 of our Canberra and surrounds caching charge and we once again found a lot of interesting places that we hadn't been to before. A lot of walking today though
Thanks to Tankengine

Found by Mary and David, in company with McLookers, Alansee, moonb1, micaparamedic and pprass (signing as VIC1), at 15:20. A precarious retrieval, but McLookers braved the conditions for the group. Our thanks to Tankengine.
In Canberra with fellow cachers VIC1+PPrass to tick off some ad labs and other caches.
Thanks for the cache Tankengine

A nervy adventure but a fun one nonetheless, and glad to have ticked it off. Thanks TE for pushing me outside of my comfort zone, and into my zone of proximal development.
Was able to employ some locally sourced TOTTs to aid my walking on water, and thus stay 99% dry. Some of the TOTTs I used where a little wet and thus my shoe soles are not currently dry, but that’s ok. All good with the cache. Cheers

In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

Well that was an adventure. For the second time today the brave one did the hard yards. Thankfully all went well and we signed the cache. TFTC.
Against Aramil’s protestations and suggestions to come back when it’s warmer, I was determined to get this one. It really wasn’t that difficult to find or get to, as long as you are prepared to get your feet wet. TFTC
I wish it was warmer because we can see the cache but the chances of getting to it without getting wet were very slim!
This was my main objective for the day, as it allowed me to fill a gap in my D/T matrix.
I don't know if my 'walking on water' was particularly Jesus-like - I decided to scoot along on my backside instead of using my balance - but it was ultimately effective.
TFTC!

Really enjoyed doing this with the water so high. Cache is dry inside and good to sign. Didn't even get my feet wet. However, a real balancing act. Caution when if using the lower log as it is very slippery. Worth a favourite. Thanks Tankengine.
I had intended to wait until summer to make the outcome of misjudging my balance a bit more pleasant, but luckily today I was here with a very well-balanced cacher who made this slippery and challenging retrieval look simple.
Thanks, Tankengine!
Thanks, Tankengine!
That turned out to be a lot of fun!
We had come for a bicycle ride from home to Weston Park to explore the area, which we have not visited for quite some time.
We began the adventure lab and then noticed that this traditional was so close by to one of the stops for the AL.
It took a few minutes of searching until we finally spotted what we were seeking.
Mrs Domsky removed her shoes and got down and wet.
I guess the lake is at pretty high levels at the moment, and perhaps this added to the adventure.
A FP here!
Thanks Tankengine

Did not find went looking for a while. We also looked in the finds for photos and the broken tree in most the photos isn’t there anymore. TFTC from Sydney!
#958 After crawling through a muddy tunnel and noticing that this one had recently been replaced I was keen to come back here and give it another go. On previous attempts I was sure it was still there but always turned up short handed, so I’m not too surprised to see it had slowly just sunk a little further down over time. After arriving with FurfacesLL the cache was spotted very quickly and I headed out to make the retrieval. I feel like I’ve been doing a fair bit of water walking lately, always a good cache at the end of the line though. Thanks Tankengine for the hide
This one has been on our list for a while, and today after the tunnel crawl we decided to join Turtle284 and DeadThief on their adventure. Easily located from the shore, so DeadThief decided to walk the plank as he was already dirty and wet from the tunnel.
Thanks Tankengine for the placement and thanks DeadThief and Turtle284 for letting us tag along.

Have moved cache a little higher, so that it is no longer hanging in the water!
Cache has been checked, and moved a little higher! That should make it easier to spot!
GOOD TO GO!!!

It was too dark to find... We are wet, cold and determined to try again another day.
Searched high and low for 20 mins, got wet feet. Ran hands along just about every submerged log we could find but sadly no luck today. It was nice to cool the feet after Parkrun. Will probably never get back here but thanks for the time and effort put into placing this cache in this beautiful location. TFTC
After a busy day caching yesterday, I was not keen on going out today. As the time ticked around for this event, I decided to go anyway. I am glad I did as it was fun chatting to people, and I even managed to find some cachers who had not done the two Tankengine caches in Weston park I have not been able to do by myself.
After the platform cache, StrangeTrouser, Iplod, Barb2e and I headed down to the walking on water cache and were joined by Smitten Granny & Sol de Lune. With a bit of guidance at how deep to look, I headed out one of the trees and started feeling about. It turns out there is another tree down there and I think I was a bit lucky to feel the cache before too much time had passed. The wire is 'only just' long enough to open the cache out of the water..
Thanks for the cache Tankengine

# 7726 Attended this event with iPlod65. A lovely summer day, not too hot. Albida suggested going for this one so joined SG & SDL as well as barb2e for the attempt. Albida did the wet work. A good hide. Thanks Tankengine
Wow what an incredible cache. I hurried over here with SDL to arrive just as Albida33 produced the log to be signed after walking the plank? to retrieve the cache. TFTC Tankengine
Headed down after the event with Albida Smittengranny, Strange Trousers and partner and Barb2E. Albida did the tricky work and once there it was the old 'find by feel' method. Water is high and the cache covered, and although the log was a little wet, it was certainly still usable.
Thanks TE....t'was a good day for this one.

Found today with StrangeTrousers, Albida33, iPlod65, Smittengranny and Sol de Lune. Good to collect. Well under water today but well discovered by Albida33. Tftc
Woop, woop! I found it!
This is visit three or four and when I was going from Deakin home I just took a different exit off the roundabout to have another look.
Yes, I had my feet in the water and no, I didn't fall in. I also found it, before it got dark in me again....
Cache is absolutely fine.

Based on the previous find back in April this cache is likely not here, despite this we still tried and unfortunately pins nothing, might need to be checked.
Despite extensive searching after the difficult horizontal water walk, I could not locate any sign of it. I am hoping it was not dropped into the water or has fallen.
Did not find this one despite my friend AdventureKris being adventurous and doing the horizontal walk!
Well that was very close to walking on water. At the shoreline my god said 10 meters to go. Hmmmm. Out of caution I emptied my pocket and started the horizontal climb. Tricky. Once well out I started to spot for the familiar signs. Fairly quickly spotted.
But did take another 10 minutes to retrieve, sign log and return with out getting it wet.
Cache was submerged. Not sure if that was the original intent. But content was dry inside. I have left it slightly above the water but suspect the next windy day will splash it down.
I'm thinking that the original location has descended below water line.
Lots of fun otherwise. Thanks TS for the adventure.
Fyi. I have a picture if you wanted it to see location.

Consulted with the CO after a 30 minute search but came up empty handed. I can't see how this may have gone missing, but I'm convinced it has!
Had a look at the GZ last weekend but didn’t make an attempt at the find at that time.
Headed back today and began the walk. Spent a few minutes looking around before adjusting my position a little and spotting a potential sign of the hide.
Got myself comfortable and retrieved the cache. Paperwork completed without any accidents and cache replaced as found.
Returned to terra firma dry and had to wait for a hole of disc golf to finish before proceeding across the fairway. That also appears to be a popular pastime.
Thanks Tankengine for a great hide.

Went out on a limb and did what I thought would be the most likely location. Water on my naked feet was nice on this warm day. But also managed to get my bum wet when I ducked under a branch.
Could not find the cache.
Might be better to come back with a friend - less nervous eyes have better sight. (No one knew where I was.)
Also collected a lost lure.

Contesta and I launched paddle board and kayak and paddled to gz. Alas the vegetation prevented us getting close enough, so back to the bank and on foot now. Searched and searched but to no avail. Contesta decided to go out on the paddle board again whilst I remained in the tree. Looking again at the gps I noticed that gz was behind me. Looking around I noticed the tell tale sign of the cache. Called Contesta back with a writing implement and signed the cache. TFTC.
TFTC Collecting a few of the easier caches in the cool of the evening Grateful thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache.
Great excuse to come down for a caching weekend with AngelG27 as Finalf29 was picking up eldest son from Melbourne.
Oh yeah... I did it! That was awesome... ok I think I entertained AngelG27 with my contortionist moves but managed to find the sneaky bugger. It wasn’t pretty but it’s good to know I can walk on water! Favourite point from me. Thanks

It seemed i could walk on water, but just not locate any caches today! I feel I've found my calling with adventure labs and orienteering!!
Being in the neighbourhood, I could hardly not take a look for this cache. I actually took a look from the water as I kayaked around west basin but there was no boat access to GZ, so after I came ashore and strapped the kayak onto the ute, I walked back to take a look. It took me some time, but eventually I spotted a tell-tale sign and shortly thereafter I had the cache in hand.
Nicely set up and a fun way to round out the day!
Thanks, Tankengine!

A whole week has passed and it is Friday afternoon and two cache types call. One was a puzzle that was eventually sorted out not too long ago, and the other a multi that I had done some of before, but managed to finish today before it got too dark.
I spent way too long here, but failed to locate the cache. I found myself with two distinct levels to look at, but at the extreme I could reach for both, I failed to see the prize. I will have to try again one day.
Thanks.

Inspired by CPWuph we had a go at this one today, and made it without getting too wet. Thanks to Tankengine for another challenging hide!
Found with masterSnail- a hint from a previous geocacher helped source the find!
