Found it! Today I aim to clear out as many caches in Broken Hill and Silverton as I can! Nice cache, well hidden but found thanks to accurate coordinates. TFTC!
Hard to find but found it a lot of glass and dont in thongs found 20 Nov 2024
Took a while, scrambling over rocks. Found it. Found it hard to sign log, it needs replacing.
I came by this one about 2 years ago and couldn't find it after spending much time looking for it. Experience later and tonight walked right up to it. TFTC SL
Found after a few minutes. I wouldn't say it's hiding I plain sight but still got it. TFTC!!
Found it in amongst all that broken glass! We found your cache today 19 May 2024 3:40pm , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC ROPENUT
What a great hide. We looked past it more than 20 times. We were beginning to give up hope but then finally, of course, right there where the GPS says it is! tftc
#19599 - 5:49:00 PM; Day four of a road trip taking the long way to Adelaide from the National Capital with the geohoney. Spent the night in Broken Hill, and after grabbing brunch, we set off to Silverton for some sightseeing, collecting a few caches in and around the town, before heading back. On return to Broken Hill, we did more sightseeing and caching as well. All were found in good order and returned as found once the log was signed. No problems here and the cache was soon in hand. TFTC ROPENUT
Heading over to Tamworth with the Muggle Mrs to visit her Brother we wanted to make the trip enjoyable and had no rush in getting there so we planned a couple of overnight stops. Our first was at the hill that needs fixing and in the process to try and find the newer ones that had been published since out last visit some 6 years ago.Getting to GZ took some effort with the Satnav showing one thing and the GPSr saying another. We dreaded needing to spend hours turning over every rock but it was not that difficult to find the prize. All caches were is good condition unless stated otherwise.Thank you for the cache ROPENUT Find Number 10712 on 9/04/2024
Nice easy cache to start the day off. We love being in the road and caching gets us out walking. A few up here in Broken Hill that weve missed on previous visits so well make up for it this trip. Team effort by the middle and not so small one whilst the big one and the geodoggie kept watch for muggles!GZ was virtually spot on, TFTC
A quick find here, cache is all goodHeaded over to the Capital GeoBash in Canberra, ACT with Freddo over 5 days, travelling through the central part of NSW before caching around the hinterlands. A nice few days over with great weather. Thanks for the cache
With a full day in Broken Hill we attempted to find all the caches that were new from my last visit in 2019. We found all bar one.
Out caching with my caching buddy, MrsShep77, and our faithful drivers. Thanks for the great hides.
After a good look around finally found the right spot.Beware of all the broken glass hereTFTC
TFTC ROPENUT your cache My Rock that we found today we made our way south for Christmas. After leaving McCullochs Rest area this morning we continued on our route to Broken Hill. A short stop in Wilcannia to grab some info for a couple of multis. Arriving in Broken Hill we set up camp at the Starview Primitive camping in the Living Desert Park. We headed out to do some caching. We targeted some for today and this was one of them.Find Count: 17278
In BH for an overnighter, so had the chance to pay quick visits to a few caches.TFTC
Continuing my adventure, I came to this cache. The cache was soon located and my name added to the log. There is a lot of broken glass around GZ so care may be needed here. With everything returned as found, I continued on my way. TFTC
In Broken Hill for a couple of days on my way north and grabbed a few caches while in town and this was one of them. Once at GZ it was a quick find. Log signed and all returned as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy. TFTC ROPENUT
Something special or unusual goes here:Not as easy as first thought but found it when I bent my back. The Generic Bit:QOGM adventure - I was able to catch a ride with Muff1 who were heading to the QOGM event and team up for 3 weeks of caching adventures. 3 weeks in a swag - will my back hold out[?]Day 2: Today we moved eastwards from Cockburn only as far as Silverton for the night so we could explore around there and Broken Hill. **SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. - BOING*****Thanks ROPENUT for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

Quick find here.
Freddo and Team Waldron are heading north for a long delayed trip to the caching fields of Cunnamulla. This cache was found on our journey. Caches were fixed where necessary. Fresh log books added. Containers refreshed.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Freddo and Team Waldron headed to warmer climes around Broken Hill, Cobar, Bourke, Cunnamulla
and Charleville.
After a cold start in Broken Hill the weather improved once we got further north. Sadly our last night in Broken was wet which, pardon the pun, put a dampener on things.
All up it was a great week away and lots of caches were found with only 3 dnfs.
Thanks to all who placed and maintained their caches. The occasional cache was damaged and we refurbished it and we also left new logbooks as required.

Another cool find in our adventures today!! Love seeing the sights of Broken Hill
Awesome geocache! We took the avocado toy from it and replaced with a squishy toy
On the road to Menindee for a day trip. Crazy view of the mine heap. What a wild place
What can we say!!!! The first place we both looked at came up with no cache.
20 minutes later we went back to the first place and came up with the goods.
Definitely deserves a fave point from us.
Thanks ROPENUT

Here for Easter from Adelaide revisiting places we used to visit when living here 25 years ago. Thanks for the memories and great caches.
We continued today our tour in NewSouthWales, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.
The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.
The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.
Thanks to ROPENUT for the generation of this nice cache My Rock (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.
PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.
Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

Together with my son, I am on a camping trip from Sydney to Broken Hill and back. On our 3000 km journey over 11 days we have seen some wonderful little towns, beautiful landscapes and many interesting geocaches.
Too many rocks, but after reading previous logs I had to trust my GPS and go to the zero-point.

Unexpected walk this afternoon led me to this one. Thinking of your mum. Left a TB to continue his travels.
Should be an Earthcache. Great rocks
What a year Sandyofthesea and I have had. We kitted out the Prado and took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April 2022 to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. We started with the Nullabour, Eyre and York Peninsulas, the Riverlands, visited family in Victoria and then back in SA it got cold. Flinders and the Oodnadatta Track was amazing and we finally warmed up in Dalhousie Springs. The Alice beckoned and then a change of plan and we ended up tackling the Tanami Track to the Kimberley and Bungles Bungles. Territory Day in Darwin was unhinged - please try and do it! The Gulf, the coast and the car breaker ‘Old Tele Track’ to the top of Cape York. This is a must but it’s not easy! Eventually made it to Brisbane to get some fixes to the car….. let’s see where we end up.

Found by Mary and David at 15:05. We are sorry that you lost your Mum. Over nearly 5o years of nursing, M always said to families: "Do not cry because she has gone, but smile because she has been." Be careful of the broken glass. Our thanks to ROPENUT.
Up this way for the weekend with Purrfect Di.
Seeing some sights, taking some pictures, located your cache!
If one's tribute to a rocking Mum is Ironstone, does that make her an iron lady?
She'd be a gem for sure We love our mums.
Thanks ROPENUT for placing and maintaining this cache on our ever growing Aussie geo-map

Driving and hiking around wherever we can - searching, spotting hidden items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guess or plain old dumb luck
Plenty of the luck stuff actually !!!
*All the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*
---
Warning ! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, floodwaters, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for bugs !!! . [xx(]
Ensure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside
Great of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
Really appreciate you reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!
C'est Fini.

A very tricky hide in plain sight this cache took us longer than it should have thanks for place this cache
Had a bit of a look around...not ableto locate. Went back to the georig to reread previous logs..legged it back to gz. Coords are spot on...found this time
Many thanks.
Many thanks.
Had a hint for this yesterday but failed so returned today for another look. This time we did a bit more research from previous logs and followed their information and spotted the hide after a short search. TFTC. Picked up TB to move on.
After a little bit of preservation we found it and have dropped off a travel bug! Safe travels.
This cache caused us far more grief than was needed, once seen it cannot be unseen. SL TFTC
Back here, last it was a wet grey day and I ran out of steam.
Today if was still cold but the sun was out making my search easier.
Concentrating at GZ I soon found it
Thank you for hiding this geocache ROPENUT, without hiders the game wouldn't exist

We were heading back to camp and noticed this cache. We couldn't possibly drive by could we. Luckily it was a nice quick find. Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.
We are heading up to Townsville for the mega up there going a very convoluted way chasing Lab caches and Corners with Micaparamedic, papi4506 & Geoturtle37.
After setting up camp for the night it was still a bit too early to settle in to happy hour so we decided to wander around Broken Hill picking up the adventure lab here. One of the stages had us going directly passed here so naturally we stopped and came in on the wrong level but that was soon rectified and lot long after that we had the cache in hand and the log book now contains our names.
Many thanks ROPENUT for the cache.
