Thanks for bringing me here. I wonder how many famous or well known people are resting here. All good with this cache
Traipsed here at night with an inquisitive muggle to introduce her to the game. Peaceful welcome to the place and a quick find nearer June than anticipated. TFTC! LKAs will always be my favourite.
Working with geo-dad Cliff5009 to grab a few caches. He got to this one before I did though.Good eyes for an old fella. My squiggle is now in the log. Thanks to CO for placing it here and the history.
Knelt to say a prayer, and sneakily grab the cache, signed and replaced, Thanks Thewhitedoggang, all is in good condition
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi. Staying in the campground next door and tonight after dinner decided to go next door and visit June Bronhill. Interesting to read the history. Wandered through the yard. In the dark, didn't know that there was a creek running through the middle, but managed to get to GZ where a quick find was made, log extracted, signed and replaced. Cache replaced as found. Now back to our van, and obviously, found the easy way back.Gratias pro cache thewhitedoggang
Easy find today - and would not have come here otherwise! Did not know the history of her stage name! TFTC
What a lovely tribute to this Australian singing icon. Although it is a name we have known for so many years, we did not realise that her surname was in fact related to Broken Hill, which we are currently visiting, and that she was in fact a local person of this area. We have a couple of days to spend here as we gradually make our way back to the east. This was a lovely spot to detour on our journey today. Thanks thewhitedoggangDomsky
Passing through Broken Hill and appreciated the history lesson on June Bronhill. Unfortunately the cache holder is in need of repair. It is very brittle and needs replacing. I put some duct tape around it but it will need a new one. Tftc
Such a large cemetery. Late afternoon stroll in sunshine. Off to find the next one here TFTC
We found your cache today 20 May 2024 1:44pm , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC thewhitedoggang
Had to wait for a muggle to clean a nearby grave, learner a bit by accident, TFTC
A big name in Australian musical history but what we didn't realise was how that big name came about. A legend of Bro'n Hill. TFTC thewhitedoggang.
Broken Hill really has raised some greats, hasn't it? an interesting wander through the cemetery while meeting June. tftc
#19596 - 3:46:00 PM; Day four of a road trip taking the long way to Adelaide from the National Capital with the geohoney. Spent the night in Broken Hill, and after grabbing brunch, we set off to Silverton for some sightseeing, collecting a few caches in and around the town, before heading back. On return to Broken Hill, we did more sightseeing and caching as well. All were found in good order and returned as found once the log was signed, although I took a few pases before finding what I was looking for here. TFTC thewhitedoggang
We love being on the road and caching gets us out walking. A few up here in Broken Hill that weve missed on previous visits so well make up for it this trip. Team effort by the middle and not so small one whilst the big one and the geodoggie kept watch for muggles! We walked past June a few times before finally getting our hands on the cache.Log signed,TFTC
Container is very fragile so please be careful and extremely respectful of location.
Given the number of other places commemorating June Bronhill in Broken Hill, this location is an unsual choice for a cache but since we were here anyway to look at something else we wandered over to get it.
Nice to learn more about a local celebrity, although it does seem a little odd to be looking for a cache actually within the cemeteryTftc
A quick find here, cache is all goodHeaded over to the Capital GeoBash in Canberra, ACT with Freddo over 5 days, travelling through the central part of NSW before caching around the hinterlands. A nice few days over with great weather. Thanks for the cache
With a full day in Broken Hill we attempted to find all the caches that were new from my last visit in 2019. We found all bar one.
It took a bit to find the grave, as I was expecting something a bit more extravagant, but cache quickly located once I spotted the right headstone. Tftc
Thanks for cache. It is always sobering to walk through gravesides and not feel the loss. ??
Found after a bit of a walk around. Signed as RP87 due to pen not working wellTFTC
Travelling from Adelaide to QLD and found this today just before leaving Broken Hill. It was an easy find once I got to the site. Said thanks to June and left her in peace.

Took a while. Then read the description about her real name. Still felt strange feeling around a grave. How many graves are there?!!
Definitely a weird experience looking through a cemetery but wow what a huge place!
Freddo and Team Waldron headed to warmer climes around Broken Hill, Cobar, Bourke, Cunnamulla
and Charleville.
After a cold start in Broken Hill the weather improved once we got further north. Sadly our last night in Broken was wet which, pardon the pun, put a dampener on things.
All up it was a great week away and lots of caches were found with only 3 dnfs.
Thanks to all who placed and maintained their caches. The occasional cache was damaged and we refurbished it and we also left new logbooks as required.
