Thankfully this 1 did not stump me. Quick find aqnd sign. Thank you for the placementy.
Argh the rain is coming in now! Time to make a quick find with help from previous logs then race back to the car. Tftc
Out for another Sunday morning strip with geodog and himself. Hopefully the rain stays away!! TFTC.
So much easier now Lostcourse dug out the grass. When he said he put a stone on I didn't realise he meant 2 tonnes of concrete.
**#20,996**Almost had me stumped but the hint narrowed it down, no need to bike off empty-handed, another smilie tucked under my belt...TNLN TFTC
All quiet around the area with a long weekend so good time to search for caches in this area. A quick find here.Thank you G-2 for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 5122
Thankfully I wasn't stumped by this one! A lovely spot - I was going to post a picture of the view, but unfortunately by the time I zoom in on my phone, there's not really much of a view to see. Thanks for bringing me here, TFTC!
#571 The cache was quickly located as it was sitting under something that did not quite belong in a tree stump TFTH
Quick find after a bit of digging around. Cache all good and dry. Thanks for the cache
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) Were chasing favourited caches to boost our Wheel of Challenges tallies. Actually, well go for anything if its in the wayThis one felt like same cache, different day. Weve definitely been here before We walked over and admired the view first. Then into action - the hint made short work of this hide. Thanks to the previous visitor, this really was a quick find. Thanks G-2. TFTC.
I started the day with work down Manukau way this morning, before returning to the city this afternoon. This left me with time to take a lunch break walk around Highbrook Park and find some caches along the way. After finding "turf" I continued my walk along the track to access this ground zero. As the cache is disabled and will not display on the app, I used google maps and the coordinates from the cache page to navigate to ground zero. Took a few circuits of ground zero before I uncovered the cache. The grass is trying to grow over it so it was well concealed. I returned it to GZ and put a slice of concrete on top of it to keep the grass at bay and to make it easier for the next finders. Oh, if flossieteacake asks, however, just between us, it was a "quick and easy find"! No sign of wasps for me today. Might be safe to reenable.Cheers for the cache placement!
Left this one to day.The tree above it is flowing and the wasps are in there in mass.
Ignored this one earlier in the year due to all of the DNFs on it, but today noticed that it had a Found log within the last 2 weeks, so thought I might as well have a nosey whilst we were in the area.
On approach spotted a massive stump and then a smaller one to the side of it. Following the hint I tried the smaller one first. It was very overgrown around it, and the centre was full of grass which had obviously been growing for quite some time. Couldn't find anything in any of the nooks around it, and no space inside unless it was completely buried in the soil and grass. On the off chance that the CO had his right and left mixed up we checked every part of the big stump we could, including shoving a hand right inside a hole at the bottom.
No doubt tomorrow somebody will have a "quick and easy find". If the CO confirms it is still here I'll come for another look.

Saw what I thought was the right object to look inand then saw another more likely. Search high and low to no avail before looking at the hint. Not coming up with anything I looked at logs and realised this had a few DNFs. I decided to give it one more go over and came up trumps. No longer stumped in Highbrook. Thanks for the hide G-2!
In the area tonight whilst the teen is at band rehearsal....so have 2 hours to seek out some local caches.....decided to head here, given this would be difficult during the day time hours.....

Out around Auckland picking up a pile of caches for a countdown to my 10,000th cache in a week or so, hopefully on Mnt Ruapehu at one of the huts.
Last cache today, it's about 4pm, and the bloody sun's heat is relentless, where's some rain when you want it. I had in mind these caches in this area, but no bike today so it's time for my usual wine and cold shower. N o issues with this cache G.

197. Quick easy find after we saw this massive stump. I am quite fascinated about how big the tree used to be. TFTC
Came today after work . . . . No trackables in this cache. Someone might have taken and forgotten to log??? Cache was out in open . . . . Covered better now
Found this one lastnight while out for a good 2 hours in the area finding other local caches. Nice and easy grab to finish off the night
Headed to Highbrook with Team Welsh late this morning after spending some time at Lloyd Elsmere Park. Made a brief stop here, where we were not stumped for long. Thanks.
Met up with my bubble caching buddies, Kiwicouple to do a few caches in the area. I seem to remember one here before and it was nice to make a quick find of this cache after a bit of a mixed morning. TFTC
Easy find here, fairly quiet, just courier drivers and trucks around, of course.
The recipe - mrs c at work? Check. Me, with a day off to go caching? Check. A decent weather forecast? Check. And so it came to pass that I headed out to Highbrook for a few hours caching having visited the area earlier in the year forsome vaccination stuff, and not enough time to do the area justice. Plenty of finds this morning, but a nasty accident on Highbrook Drive early this morning meant coming in from Pakuranga way, and back the same way. All good though. Even encountered another family out caching, kylerrrr, and saw them a couple of times on the trails, nice. Thanks to all COs.

Out for an afternoon of caching with UncleSamNZ to pick up a few caches in the Highbrook area and get out for a nice walk on a beautifully sunny day. After meeting UncleSamNZ and hatching a plan of attack, started to execute it.
As we walked along having a good old catch p we came across this cache next. This was a quick find with the help of the name of the cache.

We spent about 1 hour in the area collecting caches. The place was deserted. We didn’t need to use the photo hint. Great camo. TFTC.
After getting our gold for the day it was EyespyBen turn to pick somewhere to go
Nice easy find

Roadtrip time, day 4.
Seeing as this is Easter weekend, I have taken 4 days leave next week to get in a driving tour, hoping to get as far north as 90 mile beach in order to seek the recently published PWGT caches throughout Northland, as well as catch up with 4 different sets of friends.
I was visiting a friend in Pakuranga, and that was my main focus for today. But with today also being a dot day that I wished to deal to, I was able to pop out briefly and look for a few caches that have been placed in this area since I was last up here.
This was a nice and easy find at GZ, thanks to accurate co-ords and the Hint. There were a few people around this evening, but no real problem in waiting for the right moment to retrieve the cache. There were no issues with the cache or the log etc so once signed everything was replaced back exactly as found.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Was at a bit lost and bored....so decided to go caching. Put the bike on the back of the car after pumping up the tires, and out I went.
This was 4th on my rounds. I was using my phone to navigate which isn't easy on a bike. I actually stopped right at the cache by mistake.

Nice straight forward find on a nice cool morning. First of the five I'm hoping to find
The cache was in plain site for this one. We tried to hide it a little better with some covering
I feel like I had found the previous cache here, so this wasn't too tricky. Nice walk on a Monday morning.
What a great view.
Wandered to GZ and instructed the assistant to search and we soon had the treasure in hand.

I'm working not too far from here today so I came out early to find a few caches before starting my meetings. Last cache for me this morning. Took a little longer to find than it should have done. Nicely hidden. TFTC, Biggles.
Decided a bit of a bike ride was in order and the caches in and around Highbrooke had all been replaced so we took this challenge on today.
Packed the bikes into the back of the car and headed out here.
Noted that Keylev was the FTF on this cache. Well we would have been concerned if she didn't as her new workplace is STRAIGHT across the road...
Easy find.

Made plans with TheWonderStuff to head out to the Eastern Beaches to target a number of caches that we both hadn't found. On our way back to where TWS had left his car, we detoured to these newish caches in Highbrook.
After the much needed rain, the area was quite wet, which made searching a little more difficult. I happened to miss the cache on the first pass, but it didn't elude TWS.

Had to travel down to the "big smoke" today to buy a new welder from Machinery Warehouse for my home workshop and had never been to this part of Auckland before. Being Saturday morning there didn't seem to be the usual multitudes out walking, riding, or possibly geocaching.
Once we had spent a fair amount at the shop we decided to check out the area as the walkway looked interesting. A quick check on the phone showed there were quite a few caches in the area so it was a pity we didn't have more time today. However the lack of muggles meant we just had to go for a wander and get a few of the nearby caches.
A dead end road with a nearby cache that had a good hint so we wondered whether our luck would hold. There was plenty of parking as it's now near lunchtime on Saturday and the satellite photo showed the cache was nearby. The good hint and satellite photo put us in position for a search but success was not as quick as we thought however by spending a little more time the cache was soon in hand for the log to be signed. Now we just had to head north on our way home.
Thanks for the cache, we will need to come back for some of the others when we next have some spare time in Auckland.

I love caches like these. Nicely hidden, but not too difficult. Took TB. Thanks for hiding. Tftc
Out caching on my way to work this morning (for the new challenge out this month) and I made a meal of this one to begin with but then spotted the nicely hidden cache. Dropped a TB. TFTC
Great view and even the sun is shining which we weren’t expecting today.Made a quick find here but do prefer caching when it’s drier for finds like this.
Grrr log didn't go through. A few stumps to choose from maybe try the suspicious looking one.

Muggles were nearby but just far enough away to take no notice of us while we checked out which stump might hide the cache
Headed out to Highbrook with Merlot58 to collect a few caches. This was our last one in the area today and we were not going to be stumped by this hide. On our approach to gz we passed a group of muggles chilling out on the grass, but fortunately they were far away enough not to be able to see what we were up to. Missed this cache on the first pass, but soon spotted the sneaky hide.
Out on a nice sunny Sunday afternoon picking up some more Highbrook caches. Thanks for hiding G-2.
It was my first cache of the day. Took my recently fixed bike with me for a little trip in Highbrook geocache bonanza. Nice find when right stump located. TFTC
I resisted the urge to go after the obvious place and followed the hint to the cache. This area seems familiar for several reasons. TFTC.
Out and about today with Mr 7 picking up a few of the recent Highbrook caches. Not stumped this time TFTC!
After my Waitangi FTF I went for a short run to collect the caches nearby that I hadn't already found. Quick find here. You can't stump me that easily. Thanks for the stretch of the legs!
Second find of the day at the second time of asking with PhilBirdBoys. Last time we came there was somebody fishing at GZ, fortunately not today! TFTC.
There were a few cars parked around randomly with the occupants sitting in them for reasons unknown.
We didn’t hang around to discover the reasons and quickly departed after finding the cache.

After another FTF this morning was happily sitting at my desk working away when bling bling...ooh its in Highbrook again, wonder how far...really that close???!!!! Couldn't have been much closer if I had tried to arrange it to be! Well there was nothing for it but to be on my way.
Short stroll over and I was soon stumped (well not stumped as in stumped but just stumped).
Log signed, cache returned and I strolled back to the office before anyone had even noticed I had disappeared.
Thanks for the cache.

Second of the trifecta. Nice hint, quick find. Great view, I remember being here before, but in winter in the cool. Baking today, and the grass so brown. Grabbed the TBs. TFTC
And another pretty quick find in Highbrook here today.!
Have been caching in Highbrook quite a lot in years gone by...
but its certainly turned into G-2 territory now!

Doh! Missed being the FTF by a matter of hours! Have to figure out how to get these new cache alerts. Hot as hell today but the view is nice. TFTC!
