Third cache for today, out from the Sutherland areas. Upon arrival, we thought that this would be a DNF as the fence is damaged and a tree branch has fallen down. But sure enough it wasnt. Found after a relatively quick search. TFTC, signed and replaced.
Out for an afternoon of caching with the kids. 2 found, and 1 DNF so far. This one makes 3 found. We pulled in, and the kids were like, "Can we just stay in the car... It's too hot. " I said sure and hopped out to collect the cache. As I walked in the direction, I thought most likely both kids jumped from the car, claiming they wanted to find it. Too late, though. I had already spotted it and was going in for the find.Log signed and cache replaced as found.TFTC and the adventure.
Somehow found it straight away, an absolute fluke!! Another really good cache!! TFTC
A little weird being so Close to a house But found it just as I was about to give up.
Needs a bit of a leap of faith to collect this one. When you are looking for a park and grab, this one fits the bill exactly.
Thanks again Sweemanda

Took a while to find and needed to use hints! But great spot and fun to find. Don’t like being too close to others houses tho, I feel suspicious
Thought a rusted battery was the cache until I found the cache under the fence
Another one found very close to someone’s property at least there was no dog barking at this one
Not keen on caches that blur the boundaries of private property. OCW Brewmaker. TFTC Sweetmanda
Starting at one end and working my way along I finally felt it. These are real urban hides. TFTC
Spend the day geocaching with the kids and this was the finally one we attempted for the day. They didn't have the patience will have to return
Finally managed to turn this into a smiley face . Been meaning to do more on this series that I haven’t found or looked for . Yet another brilliant hide Sweetmanda, where do you get these great ideas from ? Thanks goes to the previous logger Jennyfromthefarm for giving me a handy hit , so glad I’ve managed to find even though I have looked there previous but obviously not as well .TFTC
After my last two being DNFs I really didn’t want to come up empty handed here but it wasn’t looking good. A systematic search saw CIH. TFTC
With the mercury expected to soar into the high 30's I made an early start of it as meandered around the burbs picking up a handful of caches along the way. Time restraints and the heat eventually forced me to call it a day about midday.
Needle bounced around for a while I eventually found the cache.

#8033 (5 of 12 today - including 5 Adventure Labs)
The calendar finds needs what it needs, and today it wants a few more. So...
Headed down to Campbelltown just after lunch to attack more of the *AGAAS* series. After a warm-up find, found five out of five of them, including two previous DNFs. Then I headed to Gregory Hills for an AL and its bonus.
Good day out.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
And so it's time for the previous DNFs.
Some more pondering and circling and finding nothing... Like last time.
So then rechecked an area I'd searched last time. And there it was. Easy! (Sigh)
Completed signing duties and replaced. Then away to my other DNF in this series.

After rebuilding the hide, on return to replace I find the original hide placed in a different spot by a totally different method! So I have repositioned the original cache the way it was meant to be mounted in the location it was meant to be! Happy hunting! It really is a simple cache.
Teamed up again with morty8888 for a days caching around Glen Alpine. Today's target was the CO's small parks series. We visited twenty of the twenty one caches in the series and had eighteen finds and two dnf's. We didn't attempt number 18 as we weren't sure how to access the park. I enjoyed reading the background to the naming of the parks/reserves and noted that a lot of the containers were something that I regularly see for sale at the local chemist chain for use as a pill container.
I thought that I was going to win the race to find this one and was sure I'd found the container but alas it was only a snail lurking in the dark.

With the weather in good form and a bunch of caches by Sweetmanda waiting to be found, Oldmorty and I headed south. With a large list of pros to visit we ended up finding all we attempted bar 2.
Always a little wary of hides close to private property but luckily didn't hang around long. TFTC!

Another day for calendar finds - only got 13! So headed down to the Ambarvale / Glen Alpine area looking to push the count into the 20s.
Two DNFs meant I only just got there, before it was time to head home (note to self, need petrol).
One of the finds was an interesting walk to a great view - that's always welcome.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
And my other DNF.
Never comfortable searching this close to a house. So went for the hint. Ok...
checked a few spots but nothing for me. Was probably all over it.
Once my discomfort level was too high I bailed.

Last find and between neighbours out the front saying bye to people and the gps being a bit off at first, we soon located. tftc
Our last for the evening was thankfully quick. It's all about the angle. TFTC
While geobeau64 was off in the bushes and I was looking at my phone, misspalot and rassilon256 had made the find rather quickly.
Ah, nuts. I was right next to this one but all I could find was snails. Good thing misspalot is eagle-eyed and was able to point out a suspicious object for me to retrieve. It was at this point that llama_boy suggested a good local lunch spot.
I found myself with a little extra time before hockey this evening so headed out to grab a few more in this cluster. This was the first and an easy find after the hint narrowed down the search possibilities. TFTC!
This one took a bit of searching but before long we uncovered the sneaky spot, thank you
Found myself up in the Campbelltown area after a change of plans. Picked off a bunch of caches over a few hours. Lots of swooping birds out today. All caches found with decent coordinates and quality hints. TFTC

No luck here for us today, as the rain started to fall we headed back to the car

Found with MizCupcake. I found this one, as soon as we reached GZ i just knew and hand my hands on the cache within seconds. TFTC!
Yesterday was a great day caching down here in the Camden Shire so I decided to come back here again today. I don't usually go to the same area two days in a row! Yesterday was the western part of the shire and today I'm in the east.
Another good trip down, driving the 60+ km non-stop, did take the wrong exit to Narellan Road though!
So I stopped for one cache as I passed Macarthur Square which gave me my final souvenir for the Memory Lane promotion - that was easy!
Now I'm looking at local parks. This is my first stop as I enter Glen Alpine. Sounds like it should snow here!
The co-ordinates were good and the cache information told me where not to look so I looked elsewhere and quickly spottted the cache. Hey that's a different sort of container for this kind of hide!

A nice little hide. As the CO says - absolutely no need to go in the bushes. In fact the trickiest thing is avoiding muggle eyes on this main thoroughfare into Glen Alpine! Tftc Sweetmanda!

The original placement was causing cachers to involuntarily damage the bush it was placed in, so i have moved the cache away from the vegetation.

As before, there has been more collateral damage than I would have liked here, so I aim to move this cache to another spot once Covid iso is over.
Checked on this seemingly difficult to find cache and was surprised at the amount of damage since my last visit, but can understand why. I’m about to temporarily disable this cache in order to move it to something less destructive.
Catching up with all the logging from last weekend now that I am sitting at home with nothing to do. Next is a lot of planning for the next time I go out caching, when ever that is.

Find number 4798.
After 20 minutes of searching we PAF as others have done and followed some explicit advice soon had cache in hand and the log signed, and yes we followed the advice to the letter and kept hold of part of the cache.
Thanks Sweetmanda for placing this cache.
