TFTC We final got to do this one very clever hide loved it took TB left some trinkets.
Found on second attempt in the place we looked on first attempt. Nowhere near our gps markTFTC
On the way to explore Port McDonnell this morning and spotted this letterbox on the map. Then spent way too much time looking like a weirdo as I wandered around the structure at GZ. Runners, cyclists and dog-walkers scooted past. Picked my way through the rubbish as I examined everything. I looked at the cache a few times, peering at the hide from every angle, and seeing... nothing Eventually, I went back to the closest spot the mobi pointed to and started fiddling around (as you so) The cleverly-concealed cache revealed itself. Ripper of a hide devilishly, deliciously evil Hidden IPS which is what makes this cache so much fun. Happy dance as I logged the find and replaced the cache carefully so as to torment future searchers. Dropping off a **FAVE** TFTC beaker & scramping, nicely done
While I was trying to assess the multitude of places a cache could be, MrG went straight to the spot and found it in the first place he checked. I'm still nonplussed about that.. Well done on a super hide scramping. FP!
Was just about to give up but had another look through the logs and there it was. In the first place I looked. Great hide.
What a tricky one. We were on the edge of giving up but persevered. Helpful description. Thanks for the cache!
We are travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are in Beautiful Mt Gambier for a few days, soaking up the amazing things this area has to offer. We especially love the bush, the back roads, and the wild southern seas. A very nice hide here, a fave point from us. LNCU.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on. SA caching foray. Staying in Mount Gambier for a week to grab some of the local hides. Its been sixteen years since since we were last here so enjoying the re-visit. Love the country road caching. Loved this hide - very devious and clever. Thanks for the hideLNCU
Didn't find it this time but will be back for the 3rd time, hopefully 3rd time lucky
Oh very well done. Log signed and replaced exactly as found. Favourite Point for your creation. Thank you.
This cache was one of those found around or on the leap day February 29th, 2024 before, during or after the Mega event in Adelaide. Many thanks to all those owners who placed caches that Swampy and I found during our trip from Hobart to the Mega and return home again.

Shazzar66, AtTheLakeHouse and I flew from Brisbane to Adelaide to attend The Great Leap Forward Leap Day Mega. Our plan was to drive from Adelaide to Mt Gambier to find more of our targeted caches in the area, and then to drive to Melbourne Airport via Ballarat, as we had targets there too. Our caching list included Oldies, good or needed D/T caches, caches with high Favourite Point, and several others that took our interest, including a couple of Ballarat geo-tour caches (before they disappeared). This cache hadnt been on our original list, however we had a bit of spare time, and this one looked interesting, so we decided to stop here. We spent a bit of time looking in different places, and it was only by luck that I tried a spot that Shazzar66 had been at and amazingly, I found the cache. Shazzar66 is generally the top-gun cache finder.A Favourite Point from me for the fun hide in an interesting location. The cache was signed, SADDLE Club, which was our team name during the Mega event. Thanks, -Beaker-, for the cache.
We were in Adelaide for The Great Leap Forward (Mega-Event). After the event we made our way through to Mt Gambier, and cached a few random caches in the surrounding areas.I found your cache, The Old Railway Box today. This is my 2944 find.Having a girlie trip with Duppers and At The Lake House. Signed as Saddle club to save room in the logbook.-Beaker-, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Well after a whirl wind tour of Tasmania to help with 3 challenges that Im working on, I got back in last night packed the car and headed off to SA this morning to attend the Leap Year Mega and to also tick off some LGAs along the way as well.Heading towards Millicent today as I missed the Mega due to the Rona that was going around so it was about time I made a visit there.I finally crossed the border and then gained my 1/2 hour and now its LGA time.I dont know how long its been since I have been to Mt Gambier and it seems such a very bustling town. This was the the last one for the town.I will definitely be back one day to really enjoy the place and not just cache. An interesting spot and for once I had the cache in hand practically straight away. This was a very sneaky one.A fav goes out to you for this one. Thanks -beaker- TFTC.
Nearly gave up here and then there it was. Very nice cache here.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Cant wait!!South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward! Count down: less than half a year to go.Have you got the balls to geocache in South Australia...
Definitely a signal box. Probably built in the 1950s when the South East network was converted from narrow to broad gauge. The gap for the rodding and cables to work points and signals can be seen low on the front facing the railway. Even the staff exchange platform is still in place.
Went back after a failed find and it was exactly where I expected! Thanks to whoever found it in the rubbish! Good hide
Found cache sitting on the ground in a pile of rubbish. I have put the cache back in the location I believe it was originally hidden. I also have taken a photo where I put the cache just in case the owner of the cache wants to double check the location
Very clever hide. Worth a favourite point.
It took me a while to think of the possibilities.
Thanks

Suscoe headed out this morning for another trip around the Mt Gambier area.
It was a cool morning with drizzly rain.
Plenty of cows and sheep as we travelled around the roads.
Thanks to -Beaker- for this hide, a clever one and a favourite from us.

Mount Gambier staying at the showground Day3
This is a wonderful town that we have visited before, but we are still amazed at what the town has to offer.
Today we travelled around the outskirts of town caching as we explored the area.
This was a really clever hide worthy of a FP
Thanks for placing your cache.

A morning to hunt for a cache or two before the expected storms arrive, a previous DNF not so today tried a different approach and the cache was soon revealed, this location was a signal cabin using levers to pull on wires to turn signals and levers to pull on rod lines to turn the points, this junction was where they could send trains on to either Millicent or on the way to Adelaide via Wolseley

Well well well! Found it at last.
Th coordinates are definitely off. All times here and 2 GPSr all wanting to go at least 9 m over the enclosed fence and caused no end of grief.
Mr Riddell found a previous log saying the same thing, before being able to find it.
So as soon as we went to the obvious, he had it in one!!!
Yes it is indeed sneaky,
TFTC and another great little challenge!

Owl was in town with Magpie and Ostrich for a family function and after dropping them off at the hotel Owl decided to head out to grab a few caches. This was a bit of a head-scratcher, but Owl eventually got to the right angle and found the sneaky cache.
The current future mrs dabricksean and I are on our south Australian leg of our journey. We have stopped in mount gambier for the sinkholes karst landscape.
Today we had to drop our car to the mechanic as some sounds have been too concerning to ignore. Prior to going to the workshop we found scroll queen which was a highlight of our trip soo far. Recommended cinnamon scroll!!!!
The cache was very clever. I missed it and gave up. However the future mrs. Dabricksean preserved and her keen eye won this round!

SL at 1:20pm. Fourth cache of the day. Initially walked past it the first time. Second time around was the 'ahuh' moment. My phone wanted to take me to the neighbouring fenced off property though. Watch out for walking or biking muggles. Great hide! TFTC!
It took a few brave attempts and the cache was soon in hand. A really nice hide. TFTC
H423L came up with the good here. And it wasn't a train.... boom boom.
Thanks to -Beaker- and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
That was a clever find, took me a couple of goes but found it!! Thanks for the geocache
FOUND IT! Awesome hide. Didn’t expect to find this one given its a difficulty 3
Great hide.
After approx 10 mins of scrambling around and poking things I noticed something that could have potential. Woohoo.

Out with skuzzybear today in the mount and thought we would pick up a few caches while we are here. Very tricky indeed, I walked passed it twice before it was found by skuzzybear. TYFTC
Found by Mads and Sare, with no help from Ceddie or George. Clever bidding spot
Unloaded my little kick scooter to collect a few caches along the rail trail. Really enjoyed the exercise and the variety of caches to keep me going what a clever cache. Found quickly and a favourite point coming your way TFTC Beaker
Found after a short search, good hide.
Trip log:
When it comes to our trips for GreyHams and myself, opportunity seems to play a big part in the timings.. be it an event, sales on airfares or car hire, in this case it was my visiting SA and being there that worked so well for this one!
So it was a drive up to Adelaide to collect GreyHams from the airport and then a trip that would see us ending up in Mount Gambier in the South east of SA, close to my family holidaying nearby and conveniently located that GreyHams could fly home to his. Perfect when a plan just comes together!!!
The primary target of the trip was counties, about 21 in total and we had almost the complete opposite need of counties from each other. Of course we also targeted other caches of importance, oldies dominated the state but there was DT, virtuals, webcams, Ausmer and types. If your cache made our list it had a quality we were wanting, or as GH says, we were waiting for a ferry or a plane!
What a variation in the places we visited, from Adelaide's suburbs out into the hills, the ferry across to Kangaroo Island for the night and the many coastal regions through Victor Harbour and Goolwa. Through Murray Bridge and out into Mallee Country to Lameroo before turning and finding a great bed and meal at the Keith Hotel. Continuing South into the very bottom of the SE of SA before returning north slightly to make the plane, in time and that arrived! So much wild life through the areas and locations of interest, it was great!
Had to love the Santas through the Adelaide hills, seems that stuffing a Santa suit is an art form all of its own, and entertained us for a long time! Kayaking to an island on Kangaroo Island was fun and although the donut from Port Elliot bakery had to pass with masses already queueing... the chunky steak pie from Willunga Bakery might not have been as good as a pepper pie later but it was still damn good! Its the little things sometimes!!!
Many thanks for your cache that led us about on a varied and very enjoyable trip!

Cool cache location

This trip came together due in the best way! Aquilus1 was over in SE SA visiting family, yet had a bunch of counties unfound between Adelaide CBD and Victor Harbour, I was missing all the counties south & east of Strathalbyn. What could be better than flying over from Canberra and being picked up at ADL airport and knocking of ALL the counties all the way to Mt Gambier, where I flew out. Last minute Covid shenanigans in Sydney & Melbourne threatened to derail it, but all good.
Of course our trips are more than just counties....we have a range of targets: Oldies, webcams/virtuals, larges with challenges and D/T thrown in for fun. If you are reading this log, then this cache had some quality we were hunting (or we were waiting for ferries or planes!)
We saw such a change in countryside, from Adelaide Hills, to Kangaroo Island, up to Borrika and then down to 'the Mount'....and the Santas! I can see areas where christmas lights arent the done thing, its stuffing your own Santa and posing them in the front garden, saw some very funny examples, we were chuckling for an hour I swear.
South Australia has such a wealth of very old caches, its wonderful. We grabbed lots of oldies and are now just a single find off our Ausmer challenges (just need to get to Melbourne or Brisbane for the last).

This weekend, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to the limestone coast / south-east for some sightseeing, mountain biking, and sinkhole diving. On Friday night, we stayed at Robe, seeing the famous obelisk the following morning. We then drove through Little Dip Conservation Park to Beachport, then Rendelsham, Hatherleigh, and staying in Millicent. On Sunday, we checked out Tantanoola and the Tantanoola Caves, mountain biked through Mount Gambier Forest and Browns Lake area, and finally on Monday, we dived Kilsby Sinkhole before driving back Telford Scrub Conservation Reserve and Penola. A great long weekend of sunny weather.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I started the day with a Millicent breakfast, and from there, we headed through Tantanoola, followed by a visit to Tantanoola Caves, which was a fantastic experience. We then unloaded the mountain bikes for a ride through Mount Gambier Forest completing the Honan Mint Trail. Our final stop of the day was Mount Gambier's caldera / Valley Lake area, mountain biking some of the trails there.
I thought this would be a time consuming cache, and we started searching the couple of structures located at GZ. As we began making our way around the building, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) spotted the cache on the ground. Now that was a shame. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. It was odd that the logbook finders appear different to those who have recently logged online? We placed the cache back to where we thought it should have belonged... now that would have been a sneaky hide! The coordinates felt slightly out. Thanks [@-Beaker-](http://coord.info/PRN1VJ) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

This cache took a bit of searching for but I found it in the bend. Cache is all good
Today I decided to head cache around glencoe and Mount gambier for the day before heading to Millicent for an evening event. Despite the horrible weather I came away with 49finds for the day.
Thanks for the cache

Nicely cammo here. quick enough find.
Heading down to Mount Gambier with Mogni for the weekend and lucky for us we both had the Friday off as well. We stopped to get a few new release cache since the last trip, clear some dnf's off and grab some off the highway stray caches plus find a puzzle and a multi cache needed by me on this calendar day.
