Adelaide to Hobart Road Trip
Day Three: North West Tasmania.
Weather: threatening to rain all day.
I’ve chosen Latrobe to spend the night - I did some locum work in the hospital here many years ago and it’s nice to be back. This is one of the caches I managed on foot from the caravan park.
Last on on Pig Island, this is indeed a spot worthy of a visit if you are in town, and very accessible from the nearby caravan park. I hope all the caches survive the coming rain event.
Thanks keepy2004.

Super fast find on a rainy day out. Left a few waterproof swaps, was great to find a cache big enough but wishing we’d had more with us. TFTC

Very tricky this one!!! No pencil! 8m out when using the app! Don’t give up worth the find!!! Singline Latrobe
I had a day caching in the Sheffield / Devonport / Latrobe area after dropping off a friend to do a camera course in Sheffield. Only one thing that needed to happen was a quick drop into the Devonport airport office to fix a small internet issue. The day was overcast with occasional showers, although some showers were heavier with some ice in them.
All logs were signed July 22 as I forgot the date at the start of the day and continued this way throughout (and for those people checking, I will log all for todays date on the web site)
Had to get this one as I had missed it some many times before. Tftc.

Another good one on the way around the island, unfortunately no pen inside and I forgot to bring one, but TFTC!
Good hide. Took a little bit of searching, but it wasn’t to difficult. Thanks for the cache
My 6th of 10 Latrobe hides before heading onto Spreyton then Devonport
The cache was found and the log was signed at 11:02 on the still, cool and partly cloudy day of Tuesday 23 November 2021. A small plank-like piece of wood was covering the cache also, upon discovery of it.
The cache and contents are in A1 condition

We needed a find today to fill a gap on our caching calendar so combined searching for this cache with meeting family for lunch in Latrobe. The serious business was attended to first of course! A quick find with the aid of the hint. Thanks for the cache
We were looking about and spotted a little area that looked like a cacher might have secreted something there. And we were right!
25 March 2021,just a beautiful wander around this island... thank you so much for the tour
In our final few days travelling around Tasmania we found ourselves camping nearby and visiting this area and enjoying some last minute caching. On previous visits to Latrobe we have found many caches in this popular parkland. Tonight was a lovely night for a walk and enjoy the sunset.
Thank you for your cache.

While heading back from Stanley to Sheffield with Tassie Trekkers, we stopped to find the caches on Pig Island. The last time we were here was for an event and it was raining heavily and we didn't do the walk but today it was a lovely day today to be out caching. TFTC
Today we travelled to Sheffield with whitewebbs collecting caches along the way and this was one of them.
A nice stroll around the area, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Loved a lap of Pig Island to pick up these caches. This was a quick find and worth a scramble to the top of the bank to watch the river

Thanks for the cache. Apologies for the generic cache. Spent four days 'up north; with Lil Rafa and the GeoGSP. Today was day 1, and we made our way to Latrobe to attend the nearby celebration event. Grabbed a couple of caches nearby before heading to Devonport for the night.
Thanks for the cache keepy2004.
On the road today with RLD4963 and the GeoGSP, leaving Hobart a bit after 8.30am, to attend the Community Celebration Event at Latrobe. With the weather being rather inclement, we really hadn't had much of a chance to stretch our legs on the way, so took the GeoGSP for a bit of a stroll before the event. Have visited Pig Island before, but this was the GeoGSP's first visit.
A nice quick find at GZ.
