CaptainCoop09 and I headed out today to find some local caches and this is one of the caches we didn't find. We did spend a good 20 minutes to no avail. We'll be back for another go at a a later date.
What a pretty little pocket of peace. I love this series because my fat little jack russell never leaves the house (or the bed), so I never had a reason or opportunity to find all these gorgeous little spots on the peninsula. I mean sure, I look a little strange always visiting dog parks without a dog, but it's such a beautiful day and I'm just loving the sunshine that we've been lucky enough to get!
This is our very first attempt at geocaching so we arent sure that we are doing this right. The hint was banned. We looked all around and didnt find anything. Muggle interference perhaps?
We had an hour up our sleeves, so decided to go found some nice easy local caches. This was our nearest unfound from where we were, so off we went! Parking nearby was a little strange, with the narrow streets and well manicured nature strips, combined with seemingly random No Standing areas, but that's okay.We wandered on down to the reserve, stopping to say gday to a lady raking her front lawn (the smallest of us happily announcing "We're off to find a geocache!", much to her confusion). At GZ, we looked in all the obvious spots, and finding nothing, widened our search a little and checked the hint. I soon spotted it, laying out in the open, and quite soggy. We retrieved it, and put it in the glorious winter sunshine for a couple of minutes to dry. After it was dried, we signed and replaced carefully. On to the next one! Thanks, as always, for the cache.
With dot558 as the heavens opened up it was found and able to sign in the shelterThank you for the cache
Nice easy find, was a matter of waiting for the people and there dogs to leave. Good hint Thank you Beckgiz & Gnome5580 for placing cache here
I collected this one after visiting the dentist. Root canals are fun! All is good with the cache, and luckily, the place was reasonably empty.
A lovely little park . Coordinates couldnt get their act together though !! Probably wouldnt have found it without the hint . TFTC
Been searching for this one for a while - finally used the hint and bingo - found it!!
GF and I were in the area doing a Mystery Picnic Adventure and stopped here for a quick find.
Thanks for the cache.

#17256 - 2:58:00 PM; After a visit to Queenscliffe yesterday, decided to head around the opposite side of the bay today and made it out to Portsea. After a bite to eat and some adventure labs, stopped off for this cache as we headed back towards the big smoke. A nice quick find and sign on another in the series at our last stop for today's caching mission. TFTC Beckgiz

Disclaimer: I grew up owning a few different dogs, originally mutts or cross-breeds, then my last dog was a Border Collie. We now have cats because a) they are lazier, b) we don't have a safe enclosed yard for a woofer, and c) I am lazy.
Having said that, my hubby desperately wants a dog. Unlike me, he has never owned a dog, so has started a campaign of wearing me down to get one (sound familiar?). I keep saying "build a fence/gate, and they will come", but he just ignores me and stops and pats every dog he meets. Especially staffys.
Consequently I did not bring my geo-hubby (or as I affectionately call him, the cache whisperer) to find this cache as he would've started up his 'let's get a dog campaign' AGAIN. So I flew solo.
Let's just say it took longer than it should have...
Thanks Beckgiz & Gnome5580 for this fun cache, my first of the series. Can't wait to do more of your dogs tail hides. With or without the cache whisperer!
TNLNSL. Replaced as found, and well out of sight. Cache on!

Heading over to do some jobs for Mum, I stopped by here and had a good look at the likely locations...without luck. After finishing the jobs, I came by on the way home and soon had the cache in hand. I returned it where I found it, but think it unlikely to be the original hide.
Thanks for the cache Beckgiz & Gnome5580.

Had fun at the library with a school holiday Oculus Experience, stopped by for a few caches on the way home. Minicacher nabbed this before I could blink! T4TC
Got to meet many friendly dogs and dog people. Thought the hiding spot was excellent. Thankyou!
This was a quick find. A few people out walking their dogs but we managed to avoid them. TFTC
Looked in the trees ground and in the perimeter of the cache and did not find.
Checked on this one today after a couple of DNFs and it definitely looks like its gone missing! Replaced with a brand new container and it's all good to go again! Please make sure when you put it back its out of sight and most importantly firmly in place!! The last one kept falling on the ground because it was placed back carelessly, a quick check before you go would mean I don't have to keep replacing this and it's there for the enjoyment of others for longer! Good luck and happy hunting!
Looked up down, all around, and on the ground in particular given previous logs. Found nothing.
I didn't have enough time tonight for my Friday evening caching run. However when my last job brought me to Mornington, how could I not collect a few geocaches. Especially after the storm that I'd been driving thru stopped.
After DNFing this cache a few weeks ago, I noticed that the next person had found it on the ground. I had had a quick look on the ground at the time, but there was too many people and dogs then.
Today I strolled to the GZ, and instantly found the geocache in the obvious place where I'd checked before. As soon as I touched the geocache it fell on the ground. I then spent about 5 minutes looking for it. . Have I said I'm not a good geocacher today.
Thanks for the cache Beck Giz & Gnome 5580

PS. 4,100th geocache find
