Thanks TasCoders for placing Welcome to Port Sorell. Swampy and I headed back to plunder more of the Northern coast over the Hobart Show long weekend. 4 day long weekend for 1 days annual leave. Sweet. This is day 4. We are heading for Launceston via Port Sorell. At least my log is not full of bad 80s references. This run has us finding both GC and GCA caches. So many caches, so little time. This is my GC find #2226 and was found on 27/10/2024 at 08:54FTF: Found with: SwampyWeather: fairMuggles: noneLight level: goodCache condition: goodDistance from GZ: Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
Hi TasCoders. Today we found your cache on the Devo trip for the year. VK7HCH and I hatched yet another plan to whip it up to the north to continue our plundering of caches both GC and GCA. As there are so many caches in this area we had freedom of choice to do those we wished to. We have solved a few puzzles so we can find those and lots of others. Although I didnt find the girl U want, the caches were enough. Its a beautiful world here in Tassie. Thanks for hiding the cache for us to find today. Finding this cache takes my GC finds to 5276 and I found it on Sunday 27 Oct 2024FTF: NoMates: VK7HCHMuggles: Condition: GoodWeather: cloudyMy favorites:Creative - Back to the future 1 by peaches (GCA5JYD)Hardest - Men in Black Holes by SG-3 (Archived)Most visited - Dragons Lair by Shagzter (GC2E33)Tractable also visited your cache
Super quick find right where the hint said after a gorgeous lunch at Ghost Rock and before attempting more caches in Port Sorrel TFTC
#713 ~ Was a quick drive-by find until Krossbo dropped the cache down between the seats in the cache mobile. That took more time to retrieve than getting the cache from its hiding spot. The cache was sitting. Wondering if it was supposed to be stuck?? TFTC TasCoders!!
Found this one with Muddtrax on the ground as the magnet has separated from the lid. Really easy find. TFTC
Hello TasCoders thank you for the cacheOnce I worked out where west weas it was an easy find.Found on Saturday, 23 September 2023 at 0835Another great weekend caching with EeePees.**TFTC**
TFTC TasCoders Found it - with AlbyDangles on another northern excursion.First find for the day at our target destination.During my childhood, our family used to holiday at Hawley in an old asbestos/cement sheet shack with very basic amenities. This was before Shearwater was developed - pretty much nothing between Port Sorell and Hawley. All sorts of great memories. Thanks, for this caching experience.Cheers, EPs. 3643 - Saturday 23rd September 2023@0835hrs
After driving past this cache almost daily since we shifted here, we finally stopped for the quick grab and sign

Camped in Deloraine today , off to Port Sorell for a few caches I missed on the last trip and any new ones which have gone down. TFTC
Found it. Pretty well hidden. About the same size as a small fingernail. Props to the creator for coming up with the idea.
It is also magnetic and I had a hard time putting the lid back on.

Was driving past and thinking this would be a nice spot for a cache, I soon noticed there is a cache! Pretty busy but the information board worked as great cover!
This weekends goal has been to include a photo from all the caches we do expect mystery owns of course! Cache is in great condition thanks for the find!

I had driven past several times with muggles in area. This afternoon, no one was in sight. Awesome hint.
Used the camera on the phone to look for this rather than poking my fingers into the unknown.

Last cache in Port Sorell before making my way back to HBA was this one.
Parked up the GeoMobile and did a couple of orbits of the structure before i placed my roving fingers on it.
Back to the GeoMobile to sign the wee log in the warmth and wind-free environment @ 08:10 on Wednesday the 26th of November 2021.
Re-rolled and placed the booty back in it's sneaky well hidden spot.

(I have had yet another awesome time up North again in both Devonport and Port Sorell caching like mad.
Grabbing much needed exercise and seeing the wonderful attractive sights this area boasts, not to mention the food and drinks {James Boag }. It's easy to see why so many new houses up on the hill near Aubrey Luck Reserve [Hawley Beach] are being built... everyone wants to be here and the views up there are unreal! [^] )

Out and about for another day on the road in Tassie. There was no rain today but the wind still cold, so put on the coat and picked up only a few, as passing through the area. Stopped off and discovered some great find and the country scenery was enjoyable along the way.
Stopped off to view the local info. Was happy to make a quick discovery here.
Thanks TasCoders for placing the cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy the find.

We needed a find today to fill a gap on our caching calendar so we made a quick trip to this area today to try to find some caches between showers. This one was a quick find with the aid of good coordinates and a very useful hint. Thank you for the cache
Oh a micro indeed
Our first chance to use travel mirror to find it

Lovely morning for a spot of caching eh ! On our way to the current geo-hotspots around Port Sorell/Hawley. There is always the excuse to have really good coffees at the Trend Shed. Have passed this one many times, and have finally managed to apply the brakes, stop and log. Very useful location, with an excuse for loitering. Hint is excellent ! Favourite applied. TFTC TasCoders
Out and about caching with whitewebbs on a nice autumn day and found your cache along the way.

Thanks for the cache. Apologies for the generic cache. Spent four days 'up north; with Lil Rafa and the GeoGSP. Today was day 3, another sunny day, a great day for caching. Today we backtracked a bit, went around in a bit of a circle, followed a few different tracks along rivers and beaches, and visited a nature reserve.
Thanks for the cache TasCoders.
RLD4963, the GeoGSP and I have spent a couple of days in the area, and as it was such a beautiful sunny day today, we headed out for a walk to find some caches. We have stayed nearby only just over a year ago, and there were hardly any caches in the area. Since then, it appears the caches have bred like rabbits! They are everywhere - which makes a trip to the area very attractive. This one took two attempts, as there were a couple of muggles parked right next to GZ the first time, so off to find a couple of others and we returned to make a nice quick find.

Our second day up north and our plans have been changed due to the weather. We didn’t think long walks in the wind and possible showers/rain were a good idea so we reassessed the map and looked for more sheltered areas hoping the showers/rain would hold off. I think we did quite well.
Didn’t take too long to find once we identified the info needed.

I am inclined to agree with Gridge98 20/03/2020. Nanos for me and be an easy find or a great challenge and I'm afraid this was one of the latter. This was my second attempt at this and after an extensive search I had almost given up when one final search had the little b---er in hand. Thank you TasCoders for the challenge.
Hi TasCoders...a nice hide and a quick find on a nano for a change.
Many TFTC..cheers ST.

A couple of days off from work and it seemed like a reasonable forecast, so I thought some time in the north west would be good with three aims. One get a break from work, two get a few puzzles that I need to claim a challenge cache in Hobart and finally get a few caches to get the wonders of the World Series done.
The drive up on Thursday was an indication of things to come. Regular showers and very cold. This continued right through the two days. At the end of each day my trousers, shows and socks where Completely saturated.
A few DNFs were had, mainly due to not wanting to search in the current shower more than anything else. Just over 100 finds for the two days, more on the first day less On the second.

Out in the area getting a bit of the Octagon done with my nephew (lbriggs7411) when we hit a DNF so headed off to find some Traditional Cache's with plenty new ones in the area we thought we would do these ones.
Easy find with the HINT.
ThanksTasCoders for all the new caches in the area and for maintaining this one

Quick find albeit we spent a long time at GZ waiting for muggles in cars to leave.
All good, we searched all of the likely spots the hint meant nothing until we knew wher ethe cache was and it all fell into place.
Thanks for the cache

Checked cache today & found to have migrated slightly. Returned to original location. Please ensure that this is placed exactly where found to ensure it us not obvious enough to muggles
Disabled due to corona virus and in response to parks being closed. Cache will be reinstated once the risk has reduced.
Bloody Nanos! Spawn of satan. Burn down the Nano factory, and exterminate anyone who sells Nanos.
finally convinced my father to bring us out to Port Sorell this evening. The hint was very useful and made sense. the cache was in its hiding spot until chickenman found it. Thanks for the cache TasCoders. keep them coming!
Last cache of the 8 we found today in Port Sorrell. Would have liked to stay longer and look for the other 13 newish ones in the area but we had to get back for grandbabysitting duties tonight!!!
Didn't even bother with the GPS here, found it in the first place we looked simple using the clue.
Thanks Tas Coders and congratulations on this, your first hide.

I was on the computer just organising to head out to Shearwater to pick up a purchase when i saw 4 new cache's come through. Got myself organised and headed out, made my purchase and went to find the Caches.
Found that the log had already been signed lol, congrats Sue & Phil. Took a bit of looking and had to read the hint again. When i followed the hint it all became clear and i soon had it in hand.

Mrs y'stassie had gone to Hawley whilst Mr y'stassie met with some other people in Latrobe. After he had finished, Mr y'stassie turned on his phone to discover that four new caches had been published in the Port Sorell area. He contacted the other member of the team and having finished her cache hunts at Hawley, Mrs y'stassie came to Latrobe and together we went back to Port Sorell rather than come home as we had planned. After all, more caching is a higher priority than tea. We got to this cache and took an initial look. When the cache was not located, we searched more systematically focussing our efforts in places consistent with the hint. Then the little blighter was discovered. The cache and contents were in good condition. To our delight the logbook was blank. So we will claim {FTF} at18:45. Thanks dgmg_tas for the good hide
