On a short holiday from BrisbAne and staying in Bagara . My husband was working today so I decided to ride my bike out here to find some caches in the lovely reserve. I ended up finding 34 caches in just under 3 hours and rode just over 25kms. I saw 1 dead snake very large some kangaroos and a lot of spiders. The trail started off out in the open and I thought it would be a hot ride but it turned out there were a lot of shady paths . i loved how the paths kept on changing from grassy to rocky to sandy. I thoroughly enjoyed the ride and look forward to coming back for more. It also enabled me to qualify for the Grand Fondo challenge, GC9B5CC. What a great day to be a geocacher. Thanks YOF for all the fun.
TFTC. An easy find though the tree was in the one patch that hadnt been just mowed so the grass was pretty long at gz at the time. Logged as KTD.
Disappointed to find the cache was in the long grass near the drain aka snake territory not the manicured parkland nearby but them's the breaks in geocaching. Fast find once we plunged in. Signed as team KTD (KabbellaQld, ToucanKB and Danielle46). Tftc. Tftc
Received a message and went and checked this one out. Appears the original container reappeared. Removed the replacement and repositioned the container in the tree. Now not at ground level head high in a fork.
A few days away in Bundaberg. Today, I again met up with joojoo57 and Richmond Lad to find a few caches. Most caches were quickly located and the logs signed. With everything returned as found, I continued on my way. TFTC
In the company of chamed, hatzofff, Imbunda and GEM_54, we are targeting the caches in and around the Barolin Nature Reserve, signing all logs as BUGARAS (aka Bargaras). All caches were found, some after a second (or even a third) attempt, and the occasional log sheet replaced where necessary.Thank you, youngoldfella, for placing this cache and showing us the wonders of this reserve. It is truly well laid out, and the pathways well-maintained.
Had an enjoyable time walking the park area, chasing smiles yesterday. It's an easy area to walk around. Out and about with Roddy Hatzoff and Imbunda and Chamad. Signed logs as Bugaras.
A planned weekend away to Bunderberg and a visit to Gladstone to check on the property to see how far it has advanced. It all started with the usual friday afternoon traffic crawl. I had left my run a little tooo late and it was not until Gympie before it seemed to flow a little better, so many people going away. Today I got to join a few other cachers to walk around the Barolin Nature and Pastoral Reserve. There were some very good caches and a few that had us searching for longer than we liked. We even walked to a few of the outer lying caches and drove to a few others. This was a great walking area and just a simple set of trails to follow. I enjoyed our walk around today, thank you. As we walked around we had to backtrack a couple of times to continue with are loops around and make good the time we had in here. We signed the logs as "Bugaras" to save time and space, sorry for the generic log.
Spending a few days in Bundaberg and out in the Barolin Nature Reserve caching with RoddyC, Hatzofff, chamad and GEM_54 and using the name BUGARAS for these. Lots of walking but good paths. Enjoyed the day. TFTC
Day 4 in the Coral Coast area. It is a nice sunny day. Doing the reserve and othersCaching with RoddyC chamad GEM54 and imbunda. Signing as BUGARASTFTCache youngoldfella
We came back for our second day of walking the reserve and parked at the end of Hughes Road. We incorrectly assumed we could start another loop from here based on this cache. Well that was a bit crazy because we ended up walking to a location we were at yesterday.I thought my wife would complain about the extra walking but she said as long as it was flat she could walk all day. Without a hill in sight we were well on our way. tftc
On a drive around the area and a quick stop and find thanks to a guiding previous finder. TFTC
once we got up the courage to walk thur the grass we found it hate the thought of snakes
We found this one in the late afternoon after a very long walk through the reserve today.
Having our compass pointing towards GZ led us a slightly longer way back to the main roads and car which we had left parked near the Big4 caravan park.
Some great trails through the bush here and we had a lovely day.
Thanks youngoldfella

It’s our last day in Bundaberg, so we’re just mopping up the odd one that we have missed during the week.
Thank you for checking on this one. We didn’t really want to leave it on a DNS list.
We’re thoroughly enjoying our jaunt around the countryside today, & so far we’ve found quite a variety of container types, sizes and ratings.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: Good.

Last find for me in the group of caches in and around the reserve. Turns out I never quite got to #16 on all my visits, and had a DNF at #29. Not bad for a couple of days when I thought my availability to get out and find caches this trip would be minimal. This one took a few minutes to locate as the cammo was excellent, however a bit of patience and the cache was soon in hand. Log signed, back to the car and that was that.
Thanks again YOF....fav point for a cool hide here.

After revisiting this one from awhile ago, GZ was much clearer and the cache was right in front of our eyes, thanks for another cache! Bri and Sar ️
TYFTC Youngoldfella. Found it easily. Had a nice stroll down the mowed ‘street’ as I parked near to the gate entrance to Barolin Nature Reserve where a Kangaroo checked out the human walking by.
It's our second full day in Bundaberg during our short caravan trip.
We solved jigsaws and mysteries well ahead if possible and collecting the Infos for the other ones.
It's a wonderful variety of caches here, and the weather beautiful.
Thanks to all COs for placing the caches for our fun.

We also had to come back and have another look for this one. We spent quite a bit of time looking in a number of locations and thought we were going to be thwarted again, until we finally found it.
Our last full day in Bundaberg. Time for a mop up of areas we haven't been able to get to yet, but we weren't able to visit everywhere.
We began by working through the farmland between town and the coast and then finished up with more magnificent views as we traveled through the coastal town to where we had got to on a previous day.
More good-sized caches in great condition. A credit to the COs.
We have had some great caching days here and look forward to a return visit.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache youngoldfella.

Missing so Ii replace it with a similar container in a different location on the tree..
Checked as hard as I could, could not find this one sadly will try again later on. Bri and Sar ️
Drove to the end of the road and somehow geowife spotted it before she got out of the car. TFTC youngoldfella
Today our plan was to go and do a huge lot of the T.A.F. caches, somehow this did not eventuate. What we did find ourselves doing was having a lovely drive around the area. Today we started close in to Bundaberg and worked our way out in an ever widening arc. All bar one of the caches were found as per yesterday as the co-ords were great. Again we thank all the cache owners for placing the caches in areas that had safe parking for us. We found one TB today and again the caches had good swag for the little ones.

TFTC. First full day in Bundaberg. We decided to head out to Bagara to attempt the AL and the caches in the immediate vicinity. A good couple of hours with 8 finds, the Adventure Lab and 1 DNF. Some of the caches gave us a sense of deja vu as we know we had been to that location before.
After a lovely weekend on Fraser Island, thought I would continue up the coast and visit a few small towns that I've never been to before heading back home to the Gold Coast.
A nice quick and easy find in a much quieter place to visit today.

Day 4 of my week away exploring Bundaberg and Maryborough.
Today was another long day and I will be doing generic logs to all the caches.
My apologies to all the CO's.
A big thank you to all the CO's for their hard work in placing and maintaining all the hides for everyone to find.

I should not have taken the bike onto the grass there are some nasty thorns in there and I spent more time fixing punctures than finding the cache.
Staying in Bundy for a few days and visited Bargara to find some caches around the area. There has been a fire nearby but luckily this tree just escaped it.

Early morning caching run before everyone gets up. This was the first one and it took me a bit before I landed in the right spot. TFTC YOF
I logged this last week by mistake. I deleted the log but had to come back to find it because it was still showing up on my list as a find. So I feel better now that I've found it.
TFTC found on my walk. Will return and drop a trackable tomorrow. I didn't check the size before I left.
Last day in Bundy and back over caching on the coast mainly. Have been down many of the back roads but today was mostly urban caching. Weather has been wonderful and it has been great to find such a variety of caches. Thanks.
Day 4: Morning - Out and about around Bagara and district. Another great day weather wise to do caching, while visiting the area. Found the cache and signed the log. TFTC youngoldfella
Bundaberg Day 5 Our caching partners for today were the Snakepitters.
Todays plan was to head to Bargara & Bernett Heads, also to do the Adventure Lab cache.
Surprisingly how busy it was along the beach front, so glad it wasn't summer or school holidays.
Thanks for placing this cache youngoldfella

Day 6 in the Bundaberg area and today was bargara's turn to pickup those caches. Drove along the foreshore while also picking up the Adventure lab, multi tasking as we went along. Lovely day and was so temping to stop there for lunch, but it was still too early in the day and we would not be in the area when we were due to finish for the day.

Recent strong winds had blown this one out of it's tree, as we located it on the ground a couple of metres from indicated GZ. After signing the log, we replaced it in a secure position on the tree trunk where it will hopefully be safe from the elements. Thanks yof for placing this cache. Cheers from Bindair Dundat and Princess Madelyn.
