Logs

Thank you for hosting this geocaching event! The date of the event has passed. We automatically archive events after 30 days (60 days for Mega- and Giga-Events). Attendees can still log archived events, log trackables, and share their experiences.

Geocaching HQ is posting this Announcement on all future Events and CITOs.

As the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) situation is evolving rapidly around the world, Geocaching HQ urges all Event hosts and attendees to prioritize the safety of themselves and their attendees.

At this time, we advise Event hosts to consult their regional health authorities to understand the guidance regarding gatherings of people. Generally, Geocaching HQ leaves the decision to Event hosts on whether to continue hosting the Event and to attendees on whether they will participate. In some regions, community volunteer reviewers may suspend publishing new Events and/or may disable, retract, or archive already published Events, in accordance with guidance from health authorities.

For hosts who wish to cancel their Events, we suggest that they:
1. Create an Announcement log to notify users that the Event is cancelled.
2. Archive the listing.
3. If hosts wish to reschedule the Event, submit a new listing.

A nice little event for a Friday night. Hopefully things work out ok in 30 days time!
Thanks for the event!

Wow! So much will happen in the next 30 days. Some good. Some bad. We thank the committee for all of the hours and hard work you have put into organising the Mega and we definitely hope that the Mega is able to go ahead so that we can enjoy the fruits of your efforts!
Thank you for the BBQ which was delicious and cooked well.

Came along for the news I was expecting but not really wanting to hear.
Consoled myself with a few snags.
Thanks for the event GeoVenture2020

Rode past on the way, with a bit of a detour, to grab the mandatory bunnings style sausage. Of course, things have changed since, but we will charge on ahead with October as best we can. TFTC GeoVenture2020!

I attended, ate sausages, chatted all things geocaching & Mega.

13-Mar-20
After visiting the new Belle of the Ball TOTT geocache, jesswrigley and I arrived here at the event a little late, but still thankful to see a few cooked sausages waiting for us. We had a chat to everyone, and had been anxious to hear the GeoVenture 2020 news, only to be told that there were no new news. Sigh.

With all the chatter and ongoing bombardment of communications from other Geocachers, I am happy to support the Committee with any small jobs that need done, as I do feel for them at this current time. No decision is likely a right one. Thanks guys for your work and help.

Mr Tardis headed down from work, to socialise with fellow cachers before we're all ordered to stay in our homes.

A good turnout and some good chat. Then the cold wind started to blow and I was almost tempted to huddle the BBQ just to keep warm!

Thanks for the event GeoVenture2020.

Came along to this event after a very busy but productive day. Enjoyed a couple of snags, but all the talk was will it or won't it. Sad
We can only wait and see what happens, I'm hoping the mega will go ahead in some form or another especially with all the time and effort that has gone into the preparation so far. Big Grin
Thanks for the event GeoVenture2020. Smile

Attended, on my way home after work. And it's quite close to home.
Arrived on time. Glad to meet some cachers and discuss some caches.
Only 30 days to the big event. I hope we can attend the big event, as we planed it for a long time. Accommodation has been booked. Holiday request was approved by boss. Hope it won't be affected by the coronavirus.
Tasty BBQ! Thanks so much!
Signed the log book.
Thanks for the event, GeoVenture2020. Nice pick on the time and location.

Dinner was nearly on the table at home when Brad suggested he might just pop out to this nearby event.
Janet told him “Don’t be too long”
And of course she repeated the new mantra.
“Wash your hands and don’t touch your face”
We live in a scary time but it is still good to see friends even if only briefly.
30 days to go. Who knows where they will lead.

So much talk about COVID-19 will it or will it not, fingers crossed all goes well and we see you in 30 days. It’s hopefully going to be a big one
