Dear CO,I'm in Albury for the weekend with my GC Adventure friends, DarksideDan and QueenK8, enjoying a fun-filled geocaching trip. Its been a fantastic opportunity to explore the area, find hidden treasures, and share some laughs along the way.We found this cache and signed the log as DQK10. It was great to see how well-maintained it is, so thank you for putting in the effort to keep it in good condition. The hide was cleverly placed, and we appreciated the thought you put into it.About this Cache:Found easily! Loved the traditional. When looking DSD said 'What is the chance... And then it was!' Loved taking photos here. Coordinates Accuracy: The cache was very close to where our GPS pointed us. Nice work on the placement!Hint: Don't think one was provided.Cache Condition: The container and logbook were in great conditionalways a joy to see. Thanks for giving us another memorable adventure to add to our trip. Well be on the lookout for more caches as we continue exploring.More adventures ahead!Kind regards,C10Appel
I'm in Albury for the weekend, geocaching with DARKSIDEDAN and C10A. This is one of the caches that we found. We spent quite some time here taking photos.Log signed DQ10.Thanks for the cache, Thewins5
There is a great pull off here complete with picnic table and fantastic sculpture which is great for photography. We found the cache quickly due to good coordinates. It needs a new log. I crammed mine in sideways. Unfortunately we didnt have a spare one with us.
Great view. Tricky to get log out. Good hint, thanks. Log full, needs replacing.
Nice view for my last stop in Towong Shire. Log is full. Squeezed my sig among the headings. Thanks for placing.
Hello Thewins5 thank you for the cacheA quick find.I found this cache during our Newcastle 2024 trip to see the grandchildren.Found on Thursday, 02 May 2024 at 1330**TFTC**
Another clever one that our 8yo geokid was very proud to spot. Log just about full on this one. TFTC
With Featherwaite we're on our way home from Canberra after the GeoBash Mega over Easter. On our way we set our route to take in LGAs that I have no finds in. Day 1 we made it to Wodonga and Day 2 we arrived in Terrick Terrick NP and Day 3 we were home.Unless stated this cache is in good condition.Apologies for the generic log.TFTC
Found with Team Waldron on our way back to Adelaide after attending the Capital GeoBash mega event in Canberra over the Easter weekend. Stayed in Wodonga overnight then headed westward to Mt Terrick Terrick campsite near Mitiamo, searching for caches along the way. Log book was full so we signed as FW TW. Thanks for the cache Thewins5!
On our way to Canberra Mega, decided to spend a few days in Albury as we cache our way to 4000 caches.Today was the day we wanted to explore Lake Hume. We made a quick find here. Cool cache.
Found before travelling from Albury to Canberra (home) after having been in Ballarat to complete the GeoTour. Great lookout! Took a few minutes to spot the cache, I was weary of a spider which looked to be a redback (but it was a distance well away from where I had to retrieve the cache). Last cache before heading back to Albury to get fuel and head toward Canberra, I get the other BL caches another time. TFTC Thewins5!
This was a nice easy find while out with JR379 today to collect a few caches along the river road. The log is quite full so we signed WB & JR.
I was in the north-east to spend a few days in the Snowy high country with the MX-5 Club... starting tomorrow morning in Beechworth... so I had driven up from Melbourne today for an easy start in the morning... and to find enough caches in the Towong Shire to be able to cross that LGA off for the **WCW - The 80/20 Rule Challenge**... something the beginning of the **Border Loop** series was perfect for.At this point I will apologise that my logs are going to get rather repetitive... most caches were easy to find and were in good condition. This one, however, had a full log and I didn't have anything to replace it with. Thanks to **Thewins5** for this cache... and the series.
Very clever!! Needs a new roll of paper for people to log! Loved this one. Thanks
Day 128 of our greynomad trip up north from Vic which started in June, and day 127 of a streak. With QOGM done and dusted for it's final year we are heading the caravan towards home, well sort off. Goal is to tick off LGA's and missing sectors in 360 degrees from home. With that goal in mind, we are heading across the border today to tick off Toowong LGA, gathering smilies as we travel.TFTC TB's visited
I’ve found this sort of hide before and was soon in hand.
Over from New Zealand to attend the Rutherglen Mega. Now heading back to Sydney getting many caches along the way.
Thanks for the cache, Thewins5

This is mogni's 2nd to last Vic LGA. We drove down the road to we had 20 caches in this LGA for that challenge cache then keep going on our trip. quick find. nice cammo.
Found with JAMS (( JJ52, Allister w, Mogni, plus sir_spectre ) Mitchell&hound wasn't with us this trip) crew. All logs stamped as JAMS to save log space. This trip we are off to the Rutherglen Mega and then slowly coming back to S.A. for a total of 8 dys and 7 nights. The targets of this trip are for JJ52 to get 11 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and a few more Victorian LGA's, Allister W was targeting 17 virtuals ( or as many as he could get ) a few more Victorian LGA's Mogni to make the Rutherglen Mega her 20, 000 find and also for her to complete all Victoria LGA's, sir_spectre needs 1 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and get his Victoria LGS's down to 2 LGA's left. We got 20 or more finds in a LGA if we stayed in there over night. We also detoured to stamp any challenge caches that we were " in the general area off " and to complete that challenge before we came back to S.A. This meant that some times dirt road (s) had to be walked down because they were to wet to drive down and/or haven't been repaired since last years flooding. We started off the holiday in the rain and then that cleared up only to start raining and a overnight thunder storm but most of the trip was dry. Over 600 caches found for the trip including over 120 lab stages in that total. Got to complete the GPS Maze at the Rutherglen Mega for a 2nd time. Allister w was the team driver for all of the Victorian part of the trip. I think this was the first trip ever to Victoria that the extension pole didn't get used but the 6.2 meter ladder did get a work out.

The JAMS (JJ52, allister w, mogni and sir_spectre) go mega... We came, we cached, we laughed, we hugged and we had a great time. All caches were replaced better than found.
Thanks to Thewins5 from mogni

The JAMS team (JJ52 allister w, mogni and sir_spectre) were on a road trip heading to the Rutherglen Mega event (staying in Corowa) for 3 days then winding our way home via Albury, Wangaratta, Bendigo and various other places in between. It was a great week with many more caches found than we expected. There were targeted caches, challenge caches, Ad Labs, events and various others to fulfill various statistics for the four of us. We were lucky with the weather, it rained a bit on our way over on Friday, then half a day after we left Wangaratta but on the whole it was great caching weather. We did drive a few slippery muddy roads, but nothing too bad. We also caught up with lots of people either at events or out in the field and enjoyed many great chats. All in all a fun time with lots of Victoria explored and then very tired when I arrived home. [^]
We had left our accommodation and had headed out of Rutherglen, on a round about route to our overnight accommodation in Wangaratta stopping for a few caches along the way and another LGA that we all needed.
We came over here for a new LGA and had a nice drive along River Road finding a number of caches. A very pretty area.
Thanks for the cache Thewins5.

Exploring around Rutherglen with Wicky. She's not great on road trips, so plenty of cache stops to break things up. Thanks for placing this cache!

Rutherglen Mega Road Trip
Day Three: Around Albury and Rutherglen
Weather: All over the place
One of ten caches found “over the bridge” and along the Border Loop today on a special side trip from Albury to claim Towong, my last Victorian LGA. It felt like I was on an island! A super experience for the short distance I covered this morning, I’d be keen to come back and do some more. I appreciate that care has been taken to put the caches near safe pull out spots, as the Easter traffic today may not be heavy, but it sure is fast.
Great work, thanks so much for the cache and the series Thewins5.
First cache in Towong, a big moment and a FP! My first completed state.
It’s officially a mega!

Visiting friends in Wodonga for a couple of days but today we are heading to Jingellic for a few days in the van. We stopped to grab a couple of geocaches but it was difficult with a 22ft van on the back , will grab a few more during the week.
If I keep looking for caches along here I might never get to camp…

After completing one LGA, it was now time to move onto the next one.
I headed out on a road trip to concentrate on 3 particular LGA’s finding enough caches in each so that I will finally qualify for a particular challenge cache.
I was passing by this one so I stopped, it wasn’t long before the cache was found and the log was stamped.
There are some good views from up here.

We've seen a few of these types of cache "hides" before so it wasn't too much of a stretch of our caching imagination for us to spot this one - "Hmm, what looks out of place . . poke it and hey presto, cache found!"

I will keep an eye but design may not be great for open location. I can replace if needed so see how it goes

Just a write note to let you know we had the same issue as a previous cacher in that we could not open the cache. It has rusted shut and as we were in the Pajero we had no need to carry any tools (any Pajero owners will get this joke).
I made a short detour up to Toowong LGA from Wadonga to fill a missing LGA on my map.
The cache was found without problems in a logical place. All good here.
