Cache AWOL, not replacing. If Pete wants a cache he will need to hide it himself .
Phone GPS kept moving so was tricky but we tried lots of potential spots but no luck
Day 9 on our holiday in New Zealand. Today we are in the area and surrounding area of Nelson. We also visited this tradi, found it, and signed the logbook.

A nice quick find thanks. A nice view from GZ.
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee road trip to Nelson. Today we had a great day cruising around Motueka, upper Moutere, and wherever the gps took us.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Beautiful morning, great find, cool little cache, thankyou!
Watch out for gorse! I am rapidly learning that geocaching is not suitable for jandals.

A reasonably quick find here. After taking a couple of family members to Nelson Airport, I took the inland route back to G.B. TFTC
The last couple of trips I've driven past here I've that it needed a cache but my bin full of caches ready with logs isn't very useful sitting at home. Thanks for placing Sidewaze

1st today. Haven't been lucky to meet the infamous Pete but heard lots and found lots of his caches, If this is the same Pete. Quick find as there was not many places to look. Great views.
Off on a day trip around Tasman picking up some missing D T spots, the PWGeoTour 3 up at Marahau and as many others as I can find.

My GPSr was solidly locked on one place, so it got a thorough searching before I moved to another and another and actually found the cache. Nice construction work. TFTC.
Today was an exploration day. Loved this one. Few prickles encountered!

#19922. Good parking here, so we made this our first stop of the day. The nicely disguised cache was quickly spotted. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ en route to Motueka, via the scenic route (which included Ad Labs and solved puzzles).
Been a while since we had driven this road, so some new caches to stop for. Unfortunately not enough time to stop for them all . This had a scenic view, and good parking so we had to stop. Didn't take long to track down the nicely hidden cache, good to get on board with our first find of the day. TFTC.

Coming downhill I turned left into the street before GZ and parked there to walk over, only then realised there is great parking opportunity just there. Walked over to the sign, checked holes at all the poles, walked back and checked again, read logs and sit down and then AHA - got it. Signed and replaced. Easier than I thought or maybe just a bit bigger than I expected, shouldn't have take that long.
A spectacular view! Terrific spot for a look, and yes, Pete's right that there should be a cache to invite people to stop.
A cool hide too, simple for cachers to find, but muggles won't give a second look.
Thanks!

*Soon located, plenty more light rain today*

Second find of the day and straightforward once we found the right one. Nice view from here, not sure if the sections below are selling that fast though. TFTC Sidewaze.
A nice day today, and we started the day with a run (at least, RG1972 did - I was riding shotgun on the bike for support), so that was the first couple of hours sorted. Then we decided on a lazy afternoon out Upper Moutere way.
So - a few caches on the drive out, the adventure lab in the town, checked out the local pottery, then a nice lunch at the pub (which was well frequented by the motor biking community today). Got a couple on the way back and all is good

#8573. I have been over in the Nelson region for the past week, mainly up in Takaka on a work trip but managed to squeeze in some geocaching on the weekends either side and on a couple of other days. After driving back to Nelson last night and staying with a friend I had some time prior to my flight back to Wellington in the afternoon to pick up more caches in the Nelson area. This was one of them. My muggle friend has joined me on the trip today although she has geocached with me a few times now and knows what to look for.
We pulled into the car park area and there was a couple in a car enjoying the view and each others company so it seems. We also enjoyed the view - of the new subdivision being created down the valley to the east. Then we wandered over to the posts and soon found the nicely concealed cache. The disturbed couple clearly did not like our presence and their car sped off into the sunset. The logbook was duly signed and cache replaced where found. Thanks Sidewaze for hiding it here.

Last time I went for this one there was couple of cars parked up so gave it a miss. Called in today and nobody about. Sat in my car and signed log. Of course a truck arrives and parks right by game zone. Looks like the driver is settling in for his afternoon tea break. Had to take the cache for a bit of a tour around a few more sites before returning an hour later to drop off. Thanks for the cache.
We prefound this cache several weeks ago when we went to check out a nearby building site. We did not need the number that day so we left it knowing that GK was about to travel past it many many times in the coming weeks.
We had looked at it a couple of other times but each time there was a car parked just about on top of where we found it.
Today GK had to go and do a wee job on the building site so I asked if he would stop off and sign this one if the carpark was empty on either of his passes.
Sure enough there was a gap in the people who frequent this area and the log was signed.
It is amazing how the area has changed over recent years and it is going to keep on changing in the next few years as all of the sections fill up.
Thanks for placing this cache and thanks for the smiley

Nicely crafted cache and all quite in the view spot although a good spot to view the rain clouds rolling in and out of areas across Moutere today. Thanks Sidewaze for the cache, found with SJT_NZ
Found with TregearP whilst passing on our way to look at some other caches out past Brightwater. Seems odd its taken us so long to stop here? Anyway, all quiet at the GZ and an instant find with excellent coordinates. All good with the nicely constructed cache. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks Sidewaze (and Pete) for the cache.
Well I think Pete deserves some recognition for what he's contributed to our local (and not so local) geocaching landscape. I know I now always look for stones wedged in trees.
My third attempt here and the first without another car being present. Missed this one first time past but then spied the hide having turned around.
Thanks Sidewaze

Returning to Brightwater, from Motueka via Moutere. Stopped off here but Pete remained elusive. Arranged a replacement cache and Temp RITR log to help this one along. Cheers. Wow the landscape is changing up this way.
Another weekend exploring Nelson with The Seagnoid, Zara and Toby. Early start from Blenheim on Saturday. We are after The Wonders of the World, some LAB caches, also Nanzies Event to visit our caching family and visiting family in Motueka. Cold morning and beautiful days made for an awesome weekend.

What Pete wants he doesn't get as the cache is missing. But thanks to a high precision hint, what Pete wants he can now have, as we replaced the cache.
Taybeedragon and are in Nelson yet again - three objectives this time. Some lab caches, a challenge cache, and hunting down the wonders of the world. With the geocaching app, the wonders are easy - each time we find a cache we removed its wonder from the filter, leaving only wonders we hadn't found yet - made for a nice fast solution.
Oh - and to find a rare cache type. So rare, that in all my 14,000 finds, I had only ever found one other. All the Wonders, labs and challenge found, now we are just doing random caches till it is time to go home.

Doing a loop trip home. Enjoying a sunny but cool winter afternoon. Quick find. Thanks for the cache.
Continuing our Sunday drive nice sunny afternoon for it with a nice view towards Nelson - thanks for the cache:- log signed
For weeks now I've been driving past this one and each time I think I'll get it next time, well this time I slowed down and found it. Thanks Sidewaze ... a great view up here and a nicely made cache too.
We found this in between showers on a cold drizzly morning, Pete would probably want better weather to improve the view today though.
Thank you Sidewaze.
Thank you Sidewaze.
We're on the road again picking up where we left off after running out of battery power yesterday. Just light drizzle today so nothing to stop us this time. Over time this spot developed into a nice place to have a look and see how things are changing from being productive to urban sprawl. Thank you Sidewaze
Was thinking of putting a cache here but you beat me to it. Great views today after a week of unsettled weather
We could have driven past here on two occasions recently but roadworks had us going in a different direction. We headed out today hoping we had time for a series of caches before afternoon tea supporting a local cafe. This was the first and no problem to find. We had to be more subtle with the return as vehicle pulled in just after we signed the log. However Mrs took photos of the view and blocked the view from the vehicle. Nice spot for a cache and nice that Pete has already found it - long ago.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I disabled my caches during Level 4 lockdown to encourage everyone to do the right thing. Now we’re moving to Level 3 I’m going to leave the decision to search for a cache or not to each individual. Remember you still need to stay in your bubble and a bit of hand sanitiser before and after handling a cache would be appropriate. Keep yourself and others safe.

Two nights in Upper Moutere, another early morning start to find caches in this area before going to catch the ferry. Thanks for the cache.
And what Pete wants he gets obviously - well in this case its true! Thanks for listening to him Sidewaze. I was just putting the cache back when a big blue car pulled up. Thought it had to be a cacher so held off so I could hand the cache over to them but it turned out the driver had a short call to take or make and then headed off again. TFTC # 15,406
Steve and I had reckoned on a cache appearing here some time, and it has...thank you.
Great spot to admire the life sentence blocks and beyond.
Thanks for setting this up.

Out on a caching expedition with bumandworker today.
Well....we just HAD to find this one didn't we?
He made the find and very much admired the container while I enjoyed the panoramic view.
To possibly mis-quote "the man" - "This hide may well last!!"
Nice hide.

With Sidewaze when cache placed. Logging a find. Great view of the changes on the hill. TFTC
Happy Leap Years Day! What I wanted today was just one cache to find to mark the occasion (and collect a souvenir I believe. This was it. A beautiful morning for a drive out into the country in the convertible cachemobile. A quick find at GZ in the first place I checked as per the hint. Great views from here but what price progress indeed. TFTC, Biggles.
Love the easy location but didn't enjoy the view overlooking the labd that had been cleared.
Found with orth71.
Lucky we can count - thanks for the hint.
Nice lookout over the bay but pity about the clearing of trees.

Stunning view and a great cache. Thanks for the effort you've put into this. A favourite from us. TFTC
Went past this area the other day when we had to take a detour due to a road closure, then went past again a few days later and I commented to Andy that we should have stopped and dropped a cache in there. This morning I got an email advising that there was a new cache there so we decided to pop over and grab it. We wanted to get it as a fast to find for a challenge but got the bonus of the [FTF] as well at 8.55am. Thanks for placing the cache here before we could so we could find it for the challenge.
Second to find. The view is lovely and the building work is intense. Tftc, a cool cache.
