With an hour to kill in town, I collected as many caches as possible. A quick stop in the parking lot near the bridge, and I soon had this one in hand. The grass is quite long here, so I needed to be careful not to get wet feet. Thanks for the hide!
Third find this morning. Cache had a little water in it but log ok. Left a pathtag. TFTC
Tank you for the cache was slightly wet on the inside of container but log was dry, nearly fell over in the mud trying to get this one
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Spending a few days in Warrnambool to grab some local finds. Thanks for the hideLNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. Thanks for the cache. LNCU.
Not the camo container we were expecting here but a quick find which was needed after the lengthy stop at the last cache tackled. With an early start we appreciated a quick find at 4pm.Thanks.
We are in Portland staying with Dad for a few days and thought a trip to Warnambool would be a nice outing. We had no idea of the history of this area and although very sad for the Chinese workers it was very interesting to learn about. It would have unbelievably tough in those days with out the floods but add them in these people must have been devastated, most probably never seeing their loved ones again. The cache again was a nice easy find and the log book contains our name. Thanks again Wollaston for the information and the hide, It is caches like this that have kept us interested in caching for so long.
Last cache for the morning!! Cache was out in the open and exposed so I made sure to add a little covering to help it blend in.Freezing this morning, my fingers are hurting whilst I write this log. Thanks for the hide
After over seven weeks on the road, I'm back home and slowly catching up on all my logging. This was a very long full-on day as we crossed the border from SA and had a lot of LGA's to tick off on our to-do list before eventually making our way across the states. The majority of caches we found were in great condition and well maintained, which is a credit to all the CO's who placed them. Our logs were signed as 5 for QLD to save room on the log sheets
Find number 12977 at 3:04:11pm on Sunday the 25 February 2024Well, I'm on my way, Adelaide here we come. I have seven days to get there and I'm travelling via the wiggly geocaching road so I hope I've allowed enouth time Today I'm travelling down to the Fitzroy River via Lorne, Colac, Camperdown, Warrnambool and Port Pairy. Found all my targets bar one so, not a bad day on the trip.A bit of storm damage to the tree but the cache is ok. Quick find.**Thanks for placing this cache Wollaston**---Don't miss finishing the Ballarat GeoTour before it ends on 4th March 2024. We have come down from Kaniva to take a friend to Panmure, after dropping them off we headed off to find a few caches. Heading to Warrnambool this was the next cache that was attempted and found. Interesting to find a cache by Wollaston on Wollaston Road. The cache is in good condition. SL TFTC
Up and about early for day 2 of a work conference (just a few caches before I head home). Quick find here. Cheers for the cache.
After attending an event this morning in Warrnambool, Chook teamed up with Hevwalker, Scramping and Eviloffspring to find a few more caches around town before she had to head home.A nice quick find here. Would have been lovely in its market garden days but can understand why the regular floods would have put an end to that. TFTC and history Wollaston.
scramping & I were visiting to Warrnambool for a long weekend. As the sun started to set and the evening was settling in, it was time to grab our torches to look for this cache. After finding the cache, which was an easy task, we got back to the car. scramping said "there is someone knocking on my window", she put the window down slightly to talk to the woman who asked "are you tracking the Peugeot". We could see the car she was referring to in the bridge carpark up the road. "No" was our reply. Next she asked us if we knew where the Police Station was. "No" was our follow up reply. After ensuring she was ok and felt safe, we were all on our way. Needless to say we did not look for the Old Bridge cache this evening. TFTC Wollaston
Found with hevwalker a quick find at night with a torch. A weird story to tell to friends and family happened here with a black car with dodgy number plates and a young woman tapping on our window which made the decision to come back for the bridge cache up the road in the coming days. TFTC.
Cache had no camouflage and a bit waterlogged. Log nice and dry in plastic bag. Returned with some camouflage. Tftc
Day 4 and it was the last day of my road trip through the south west of Victoria... time to head home to Melbourne... but not without finding lots of caches along the way. Having spent the morning traveling around Moyne Shire, while *geocaching.com* was off line, I headed back into Warrnambool for more caches when the site was back.
Skirting around the northern edge, I was grabbing caches to reach a total of twenty 's for this road trip. This cache was a nice easy find. Thanks **Wollaston** for placing it.

Touring around the town of Warrnambool today in the wet and windy weather, not stopping us from grabbing some caches. Another one ticked off, a quick find and all good here. Cheers mate.

In Warrnambool and out caching with Pprass. Thanks for hiding and adding to our pleasure in exploring the area.
Found at 1:38 PM in the company of Liz and Bruce, GAFF1
Now there was a precarious hide - just sitting there half exposed. Odd how these sort of hides remain undisturbed and the well hidden ones disappear [?]
Thanks Wollaston.

Popped into town with Trailstevo to do Port Fairy Parkrun in the morning. Stayed at our usual, The Cally, and went for a wander to develop a walk and encourage an appetite ready for the evening Pizzas. 13km walked in all, got a bit wet, was a bit windy but we did It. Thanks to all the CO,s for the hides. Looking forward to coming back to do another sweep!
Day 12 of our tour of Victoria, SA and NSW. Grabbing a few caches along the way. 7 from 7 today!

Catching up on some late logs, now that I have time, while travelling.
Found this hide while visiting family and getting ready to head over to WA for a trip. This was some interesting history for the area.
Found this, as it started to rain, so pleased it was a quick find.
Thanks for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoyed finding it.

A busy day's caching around Warrnambool with The Morris.
Not sure how we ended up with so many to do, but we got most that we didn't need special equipment, or weren't locked out of.
There is certainly a good crop of grass growing here in the flood plain's soil.
There must have been a more recent flood as the log book is fairly soaked.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found after first finding the nearby bridge cache. Dropped off a trackable from Melbourne. In good condition.
Found cache on the ground. Log etc still intact. SL and replaced where we believe it come from.
Quick find but didn’t get a chance to write in it as there was so many people walking by today! TFTC
Another Park and another park and grab for Harrowang and Beavar. SL at 4.13pm #8094 TFTC Wollaston
Sent just one of the team out for this one while we watched from the car - better that R gets the wet feet rather than all of us! With Harrowang. TFTC
In Warnie for some specialty shopping and to collect Mr Morris from the train. It was a beautiful day and there was time for some caching.
A quick stop to grab this one,
Thanks for showing us this part of the world Wollaston

After attending the "Let's Strain The Drain - Warrnambool CITO" this morning, we plotted a course around town in an effort to convert the green tear drops on our Cachly map to smiley faces. As always, informative cache notes give more meaning to a find.
Our thanks to Wollaston for placing interesting caches on the gameboard.

We were on our way back to where we were staying and thought we had enough time for a couple of caches, luckily this cache was spotted quickly so signed the log and headed off to the last cache for the day

Out for a walk with geodog and found this one laying on the ground a bit away from where my phones co-ordinates took me to. After signing, placed it back in the nearest one to where I found it, so if its not in the one you are taken to try another.
Apologies for the delay in getting this one back up and running. We anticipate it will be back in play by late February.
Pretty damp walking over to this one. Remains well hidden and in good order. Cheers
A very easy find as it was exposed when I got there. Left it a bit more covered up.
