Thanks 63ROOS for hiding this cache. Now that my calendar and streak are completed, I can just cache for the fun of it. We are visiting Australia from Florida, USA for a multi-week vacation which will have us visiting two states in Australia (Tasmania and the ACT) we missed in 2014 followed by 28 days on the Ovation of the Seas including New Zealand and a Transpacific to Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.

Today was our fourth day of the trip and our first full day in Tasmania, with the forecast of a beautiful day we set up a routing to the Port Arthur area and back to Hobart. We had eight Multicaches, three Earthcaches, three Virtual caches, six Unknown caches, four+ Adventure Lab sets on our to-do list, we would also surpass the 1900 Multicache finds milestone today.

We would end up with six caches in the Nubeena area, had solved this prior to leaving the USA so it was a speedy C&D. Thanks for a fun puzzle. tftc!!

22-Feb-23
Today our group of 11 kiwi cachers picked up our 4 rental cars, and headed for a visit to Port Arthur. Of course we did a little caching along the way, and took the opportunity after the Port Arthur visit to explore the Tasman Peninsula.
After travelling south to the South Tasmania Virtual we completed the clockwise loop through Nubeena from Port Arthur. We were happy to pick up this puzzle on the History of Nubeena, solved in preparation for our trip. Thanks.

Replaced new cache as all good

27-Jan-23
We are spending time over Australia Day at Lime Bay. We were heading for supplies in Nubeena and I thought I’d check for any quick Caches. There were only a few Multis that I would not have time for and this one mystery cache. Most mystery caches are too difficult for me. Pleasingly this one was much easier so I solved it before we left. At the GZ I found it quickly while the others were in the shop. This marks my 100th mystery cache I have been on 99 for a very very very long time. TFTC.

Another nice puzzle solved at home before our trip. Today we stopped here on the way to the Coal Mines Historic Site. Sunday afternoon was muggelfree, the perfect time to grab the cache.

Our kids are finally old enough to look after themselves for a few days. So, with my wife having some holidays coinciding with their school holidays, she and I took the opportunity for a quick 6 day tour - with no kids - of a few carfeully selected areas of Tasmania. We opted for the first night in Richmond, before continuing on to Bruny Island, then Hobart and the Tasman Peninsula.

After a hike out to Cape Raoul this morning, we ventured in to Nubeena to take a look. Initially searched the wrong sign, before making the find. Many thanks 63ROOS.

On a road trip from Hobart to Stanley with my mum over 2 weeks. We visited a number of towns and we were mainly targeting Virtuals and Earthcaches due to the amazing locations they take one to. We did pick up the random traditional, multi, puzzle, wherigo and even a couple letterbox caches whilst travelling.

Today is the first day of the actual road trip as prior days were spending time with family. After checking into our accommodation for the evening, we had some daylight left, so decided we would go for a drive around the Port Arthur penninsular area. Worked our way around collecting caches until we lost sunlight. Had this one solved prior to our visit.

Thanks for placing and mainting this geocache 63ROOS Big Grin

Today we decided to head to Lime Bay and finding a few caches in the area, on the way back we found your cache along the way back to the caravan park.

Once we had the correct information we made a quick find at GZ, cache and contents were in good condition.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Had a bit of a dig and found the answers i needed for the solve of this puzzle the night before coming down here for it and a load of other hides.

Arrived at GZ and my stealth mode was immediately full-on!
Wrestled a bit to free the cache but it was eventually in my hands and i was SL at 12:58 on Wednesday the 7th of April 2021. Not a single Muggle was sighted during my time at GZ given the spot i was in Big Grin

The log within is dry Cool

In the area for a few days camping and noticed a few new caches. This was a simple puzzle with the aid of Google - yet I made a simple calculation error and found myself in an unlikely place. A uick re-calculation and the cache was quickly found. TFTC

This puzzle gave us a small insight into part of the history of Nubeena. Once solved, we soon had a set of coordinates. Today we went to look for the cache. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks 63ROOS for the puzzle and the cache.

Thanks for this puzzle cache 63ROOS.
Out and about on the Tasman Peninsula today with RLD4963 and the GeoGSP. Solved this one not long after it was published, and we were keen to find it on our travels today.
A straightforward find at GZ, all is well with the cache.

Today we decided to head down the Tasman to find a few caches that had been published since our last visit and this was one of them. Having worked the puzzle out when it was first published it was nice to turn it into a smiley today. A nice cammo container. TFTP

We rolled into town feeling hungry, famished actually! We decide to stop for this cache and then head to the nearly shop for lunch. A quick find was made which made us happy but the shop was closed making us unhappy. We ended up with a couple of party pies from the IGA store which was disappointing.

We had no destination in mind until about 9am when we decided that we would head down to the Peninsular after we replaced a cache for 1TOOLMAN. We knew we wouldn't have time to find everything we wanted but we reeled in a good handful and only got wet a couple of times thanks to Tassies crazy spring weather.

Thanks 63ROOS

This one was a quick park and grab, Nubeena was deserted today and with the local cafe closed we had to go on a bit of a drive to find lunch, advice to others coming this way bring a cut lunch with you.

thanks for the cache.

We had even less of a plan than normal today, Saturday morning and today's caching location was finally chosen as we picked up our first coffee of the day, so fix up a fellow cachers cacher and then we drove down South to find some of the new caches down the peninsula, no chance of getting them all but we'll see how we go.

Found on 26/09/2020 at 1:51:00 PM thanks to 63ROOS for placing this cache for me to find.

Hello 63ROOS thank you for the cache

Todays trip was not planed for so just went looking as the caches popped up on the GPSr.

Today JLROCKSTAR and I set off early from Hobart to the Tasman peninsula to find some caches for the day before having to return back to Launceston for some commitments. Overall 28 finds for the day.

Decided a few days ago to head to Port Arthur after an early morning appointment for Lady membsec, to do a maintenance run for the geofamily and also get a few newly released caches since our last visit. Turned out we chose a good day!

Had to be very careful here as there were muggles in the distance so while one kept a look out the other member retrieved the container. Signed and placed back as we found it.

Tricky tricky spot, we used the advantage of having 2 people. That helped alot. Quite a few muggles about . TFTC

28-May-20
We set off at first light when we saw that there were 3 new caches along Roaring Beach Rd. Also saw this puzzle cache which I hadn't seen before. A nice easy solution worked out last night. Who would have thought the Post Office has been around for so long!
Thanks 63ROOS, a nice easy find which we fluked between muggles given the hour of the day.

Too fast found it

Hi 63Roos, have been pretty toey waiting for restrictions to lift and although 30km doesn't seem a lot I still had this little cache of yours to find and log. Thank you for the cache and the history lesson, Nubeena was almost a ghost town today but plenty of traffic on the road in and out. Thanks again for all your hides and am looking forward to when unlimited travel allows for Geocaching day trips again.
