Logs
After our previous failure a year ago, when the cache was missing, we brought a torch this time, but strangely, made a quick find without it, although we think the hint (and the hide?) has changed. TFTC
On the way to the airport to fly home and thought we’d stop for a couple of caches. Clever camo, TFTC
3 July 2023 6:21 am. I dont have many trads in left in NW side of Christchurch. So glad to see this one pop up to do for the 1st day of the wheel of challenges streak month. Have found a cache many years ago on the same object. TFTC Aslan* # 4009
Forgot that logging before midday meant that it was the previous day in the US, and not part of the "challenge" timeframe. Have deleted the previous log and relogged for the same day after the challenge started.

Four sets of eyes looked for this one but no luck for us today. We did find a magnet but no container.
The map lead me to the other side lol, but I found it. Also, in Derwent reserve, there was another mint container like this, and it was classified small... I was looking for a tiny container herem
Was happy this ended up being a quick find, nice to meet Norman, very cool. Thanks!
Cool wee engine, which I didn’t know was there. Couldn’t find the cache though - suspect it’s been taken. Previous post from my husband is wrong - he thought the train was the cache.
A nice quick find in expected place.
Took a seat on the structure to sign the log.
My partner who restores trams for a living informed me that it's a "tidy wee piece of engineering" with "lots of nice welding"
My thoughts on it: "so cute!!!"
TFTC- glad to find another in the station series

I thought i was going to be for ever looking for a micro on here. Its not a micro. Love the train. Thankyou for bringing me here.
Thanks to Streetwalker NZ who very kindly provided a replacement cache on my behalf, there is now a new cache in place ready to be discovered. Thanks SWNZ. Cheers Aslan
had a quick search, probably looked a right idiot to muggles nearby. Felt too exposed for a thorough search so had to call it a day and move on
Although it wasn't exactly where the coordinates had us, we had no doubts as to the object we should be searching, however failed to find the cache. Next time we'll bring a torch.
Another great morning to get some in, hopefully before the rain sets in.
Nice find. Not a lot of people to spy me, given the time of day. Cheers!

Today was an easy find so I don’t know why I couldn’t find it last time I looked. Today was helped by the area not being as busy as last time I was here
We came here to find our 5,500 Cache and find it we did We've never noticed the Train before so thank you Aslan for bringing us here and TFTH
Access to the cache puts the cacher in full public view, feeling very exposed; TFTC
That is so awesome! My first time geocaching and very cool! 10/10 would totally recommend!!

Geocaching around Christchurch with woolwood9.
Weather has taken a turn for the worse - lots of rain now and everything wet!
We soon had the container found. SL: **tm/ww NZ**
*Thanks for putting this cache out for us to visit, we enjoyed the drive / walk around!*
Good feature at GZ

This is stop we stop at quite often. The boys really enjoy the train. I was happy to see a cache hidden here and we finally chose today to collect it.

Looked absolutely everywhere all over norman and around him but no luck.. are we missing something
I drive past this every day on my way to work, and never once noticed the train kids found it quickly, signed and back in place in no time. TFTC.
#20282. I was keen to find a cache today. I had one lined up for lunch time (one I've had plans to find a few times before) but those plans were overtaken by events, and I found myself back at home a bit after 7PM having found no caches today. Hmmm ... must be time to finally look for this nearby P+G. Nice placement. TFTC.
A quick find on a really crappy cold wet winters day. Cache remains nicely out of the elements and was in perfect condition. Thanks Aslan* for the cache.
