Found on an enjoyable afternoon caching with team KTD (KabbellaQld, ToucanKB and Danielle46). Last time we attempted this cache, council workers were targeting the zone with industrial mowers and brush cutters. Not really conducive for cache hunting. This time we had the zone to ourselves and could search properly. Found it best to rely on the description as the coordinates directed us to the wrong group of trees. Glad to tick this one off. Tftc.
Really interesting information, thanks. Nice little hide, all safe and dry. TFTC a fsv for the story.
Hubby has a SUP race on this weekend at Elliot Head with a plan to stay in Bargara. Since Ive not been up here for a couple of years, I thought I would tag along and grab some caches all of the way and while hes racing.Since Hubby will need the car, I have bought my trusty e-bike along for the trip.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I couldnt find this one on the way out, but had success on the way back, while out collecting smilies in Bargara.I had reached out to the CO for assistance but didnt need help after all.I found your cache, The Bargara tornado today. This is my 3138 find.youngoldfella, TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF

A planned weekend away to Bundaberg and a visit to Gladstone to check on the property to see how far it has advanced. It all started with the usual friday afternoon traffic crawl. I had left my run a little tooo late and it was not until Gympie before it seemed to flow a little better, so many people going away. Today I got to join a few other cachers to walk around the Barolin Nature and Pastoral Reserve. There were some very good caches and a few that had us searching for longer than we liked. We even walked to a few of the outer lying caches and drove to a few others. This was a great walking area and just a simple set of trails to follow. I enjoyed our walk around today, thank you. We signed the logs as "Bugaras" to save time and space, sorry for the generic log. After our walk it was time for a little refreshment and a snack so a local cafe was in order. While I was there I managed to go for a walk and grab the local caches with Princess. It was a great walk and we signed the logs and replaced the caches as found.
Didn't look there first.Muggles with cute puppy were nearby.Signed as The RoosHere in Bundaberg with kiwisteve2 drobbonz and kimmy533. Randomly heading north.Go north they said. It'll be warm they said!Tftc
Here with the Roos. Enjoying the wander around Bargara. Its much warmer here than in Orange NSW!!
Travelled to the Coral Coast with RoddyC and Hatzofff to stay for a few says and find as many caches as possible. Today we cached with GEM_54.Cache located, log signed by all and replaced as found TFTC

Didn't find this one the previous day but never felt like I looked in the right place. Today stopped here again and after a walk decided to retead the hint and then the phone gave me a different GZ where the cache was found in the first place I lookedWith cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache youngoldfellaThe following TBs visited for the distance - Adventures with softball 29 and Harper, Govenor Lachlan Macquarie, Hawkesbury Tiger, phlphotos 2011 - 2023 NSW geocoin, phlphotos Cache In Trash Out Geocoin, phlphotos Cache In Trash Out Tag, phlphotos CITO Leaf Nano Geocoin, phlphotos CITO Micro Geocoin, phlphotos - CITO 2019 - 2022 Coin, phlphotos Four Elements Geocoin, phlphotos Optical Illusion Geocoin, phlphotos Spindoc Bob Memorial Geocoin, phlphotos Wheel of Caching Geocoin and phls silver ride
It was still there but cache creep had it about 2 meters from where it was supposed.placed back at ground level under a root on the NW side of the tree. New log sheet as well. All good to go once again.
I checked on this one after the DNF on 8th January 2024 and it was there. I will check it again tomorrow (09/02/2024) as I will be up that end of the esplanade about 9 am.
Fairly sure I know where this is, however the grass and overgrowth is waist deep. It's too slithery to go hunting around in that. Tftc, maybe another day.

AustraliaA country that has fascinated me for a long time. But the distance to get there was just as great as the desire to drive there. So it was dreamed but not implemented. But then our friend nalfion moved again. And this time to Down Under. That gave the go-ahead to plan a little more firmly for the first ideas and fantasies. The bosses were asked about a longer vacation and then we went to the travel agency with our rough ideas. For such a complex thing we wanted to have support. And after a few appointments there, the basic structure was in place.During our summer holidays we went to Sydney via Singapore, where we spent 2 days. 2 days in Sydney city and then we went with a small camper van with the whole family via Katoomba to Cairns. Our friend lives in Adelaide so ended up staying there for a few more days at the hotel before heading back to Germany without any lengthy stops via Melbourne and Singapore.A wonderful holiday that at least brought us a little closer to this huge country and gave us many great memories. Our friend stayed with us for a few days in the middle of our trip. But tomorrow morning he had to get back home by train/plane starting in Bundaberg. So we had a nice and relaxing day at the beach in Bargara (and did some caching) and went to the Bundaberg Barrels afterwards for a a "drink", and than a little stroll through Bundabarg. Thanks for the cache.
Walking back to the caravan park we stopped to find this one. Easy find thanks to the hint. TFTC
Great little coastal ride/walk with the family, and slowly introducing them to geocaching. This is a good one to show them that some normal things we see daily aren't so normal after all.
Hi there youngoldfella, we found your cache The Bargara tornado
Day five of our Back to Bundy trip, and we’re continuing our northward sweep of caches up the coast.
We started off by heading to an Adventure Lab or two, and then took a route that was determined (mostly) by the next closest cache as determined by our GPS.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the area and ended up finding a variety of container types, sizes and ratings.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: Good.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Found on a picture perfect afternoon finishing off a day of driving. Took a bit of searching and some re-searching as well, but eventually caught on and found it. TFTC
Our final day at Bundaberg and the plan was to grab some caches and Adventure Labs on the Northside than make our way out towards Bargara to grab a few more caches and to do a bit of sight seeing before heading home.
Our first cache at Bargara and a nice simple one, thanks to the hint. We weren’t too sure how fair we had to go, but Alyce pointed out a promising spot and after a quick search the cache was in hand.
Thanks for bringing us here.

We had a great drive around this area today finding some of the caches and this is one we found. The info provided made for a fairly quick find. All good here, log signed and replaced as found. Thanks youngoldfella for this one.
Had a look this morning and it had us stumped. Tried again after a nice day with the rellos, and success after a short search and a fresh approach! Thank for for another clever cache!

T4T$ found with family and friends, purple-papillion, hollylolamary and Atkinson-dale while out for a caching day at Bargara.
We are enjoying the clues. Its refreshing and different to a hiders usual modus operandi. Made this one much more straightforward.
Our first full day in Bundaberg. We decided to head out to Bargara and see how many caches we could find along the coast and surrounds. This included 2 Adventure Labs, puzzles and traditionals. These were mixed in with great scenery and some interesting nature reserves.
Combined with the lunch we had it was another great day.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache youngoldfella.

Nice quick find after evading swooping magpie. TFTC. Forgot pen so have attached photo as proof.
TFTC. We had travelled to Bundaberg to get a repair done to the Motorhome in the morning. Arrived and set up camp and headed to Burnett Heads to find the caches placed since our last visit. Then we headed to a fish and chip shop in Bargara for a late lunch/early dinner. After we headed to this cache which had beaten us at our last visit. We found one , then spotted another. Rang the CO and removed the larger of the two containers. It is now as per the hint.
1:30 pm. There is a cold wind blowing today by the sea. The little plastic screw top nearly blew away. I’d like to see a hinge or a least a tighter fit for the cradle into the ‘rock’ cache. First time seeing one of these types of caches. Nice to find something different. I popped the cache rock under the big rock it was next to a little better than it was.
I don’t know the acronyms yet but can guess TYFTC.

Found it very quickly, left it in the same spot, but put some shrubbery on top to make a bit harder. Found a trackable inside.
Cache in great condition. Coongoola & Geodog are on an adventure after attending the Townsville Mega event in Qld. We found your cache today 22 May 2022 2:19 pm , while enjoying another day out adding to our tally. TFTC youngoldfella
Interesting story about the tornado, we could see the evidence in the trees. Very windy today too but hopefully, not that windy...
We followed our noses to gz but searched under the wrong trees further away for a while first before regrouping and aiming for another one closer to the grass. Now it all makes sense.
Interested to see a photo of J's niece's kids in one of the image photos as they were living up here for a while. Good to see that the younger generation is doing some caching too.
Continuing along our discovery journey.
