Having dropped Mrs Msc20 at the airport, I meandered my way back to the Tron picking off a number of nearby caches en route.I've driven past here many times in the past couple of years but never had the opportunity or taken the time to stop.Well, I put that right today.A couple of possible options here. Got there in the end. Thanks eyespyben#5487
A wet day around Taupiri saw rattll and I head to this reserve next to the expressway. A short search in a couple of likely spots, before spotting the cache from a different angle. All well. Signed and returned as found. Tftc!
After attending the MCC's farewell event, we thought we'd do this little trail. It's one we've meant to stop for many times but just hadn't gotten around to it until today. The rain started just as we arrived, so we enjoyed a coffee in the van while waiting for it to pass. Once the skies brightened, we headed out. What a lovely sculpture and walkway. I'd not noticed it, while whizzing past in the car before. The cache didn't really match the hint, but was easily found just sitting on the ground. We returned it to where we found it. Thanks for putting this here

Night adventure with Bear2024Cache #9 for the nightTook a moment to find as hint wasn't the most clearbut smart minds found pretty quicklyTFTC
2nd of the local caches - out to collect all five. I've always wondered what these sculptures represent, and now I know - thanks.
After 3 of the team examined everywhere possible MrMuggle found it almost right awayIm sure I checked there! Anyway was good to get our name on the log. Thanks for placing some caches along here.
I wanted to make a stop on the way home from Auckland today, and figured 5 caches would be a good excuse to finally stop at the reserve that I've driven past however many times. The hint for this one had me a little confused, it may need updating, but cache was quickly found. TFTC
Second day in New Zealand and it's a wet one. Only having 5 days means we have to go caching hail rain or shine. Quick find here.TFTC Wilbert67
Second find of the day today, a nice easy find here. Quite cool sculptures! TFTC
While on my way to pick up my daughter's in Hamilton I came across this nice grouping of caches which I thought I had time to pick up. A perfect opportunity to park up and have a quick walk. This was an interesting site with the Waka sculpture and a quick find once I took a seat.
We have often driven past here and thought about stopping to collect these caches. Today we decided to drive and try them out. The motorway had been pretty busy and its a hot day so we were more than happy to get out of the car. This one took us longer to find than it should of started off our search in the correct spot missed it and continued searching in lots of wrong places before going back to where we started. Will blame it on the heat. Lol.
Day 14: South to TaumarunuiTodays journey took us from Auckland down to Taumarunui as part of the first leg of our journey to New Plymouth via the Forgotten World Highway. We ventured out to Raglan as a little detour on the way to visit the Bridal Veil Falls / Waireinga as well. The day on the road was long but we enjoyed sunny skies and lovely caches all along the way and many a historic and scenic place. (End of the cut and paste bit)Heres the specific log for this cache:Another quick one here after taking a load of my feet after that really short walk. Looked at the significance of the sculptures around here before heading back to the car. TFTC!
Pulled over for stretch and wondered if there was any caches around so TFTC nice ltl walk was worth it.
Weve passed this area a few times. We had time to stop today to have a look. Logsheet getting full so added a new one. Thanks for the cache Mccutchan clan
Cool sculpture. We were here doing the Ad lab when we realized there was a trad. Photo taken as evidence as we didn't have a pen.
Up here doing the ad lab, didn’t realise there were any caches here till we got to the canoes. Didn’t have a pen on us so took a photo of the cache and log. Can send through as evidence. Tftc
How many times have we driven past & said to each other "we must do the caches in this reserve... " so today we did! Great to read about the history of these standing canoes as well. Had to look harder and read between the lines to find this one as the clue wasn't so helpful. However, cache is all good. TFTC
Based ourselves nearby to complete some of the local caches. Located in the last place we looked TFTC.
Third and final find of the day, time is getting away from me as I still have a long way to travel. Thanks for this cache and a good reason to stretch the legs.
Camping in Huntly for a few days before attending 18@18 event. Took a short drive north, so I could come south, to have a look at this area that I've only driven past before.
Enjoyed the walk but in the end it was a bit hot and I didn't have the 'umph' to find all the cashes. I will be back, and make sure I have time for a good search.
However I did find this very easily. TFTC

Stopped on our way to see family in Tauranga! This was our first geo cache find ever! Thanks!
Stopping by for a quick walk and of course some geocaches while driving through from Auckland to Hamilton. We knew rain was coming so we hurried as much as we can. It took a little longer than it should have to find the cache but got there in the end. Thanks for the cache
Found with jagersmum after a search that took a wee bit longer than it should - it was in a place where we thought it would be, just didn't look hard enough in that spot... TFTC!!!
Made this one way harder than I needed to. Lovely place to have a break on my way down to Hamilton to pick up junior cachers. This has been on my radar for a while but this is the first time I've had enough time to walk this trail. TFTC
We tried to do this cache and lab on the way to Hamilton last night. We weren't prepared to do it at night. So we came back for it today. Thanks for hiding this cache McCutchan Cache Clan I appreciate it.
Usually we are on a mission to reach a southern destination, as we drive passed this Scientific Reserve, but today we had time to stop and explore the reserve and locate the caches.
We stopped to check out the canoes, before setting about finding the cache. Quick find here in the logical place. TFTC

Finally wasn't in a rush to get home today so pulled off here to explore this area and pick up a few caches.
An interesting monument worthy of a cache.
Cache was full of water and replacement log sheet was swimming in it.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Having dropped daughter of at Auckland airport it was time to head south to Wellington. A few points of interest stops on the way and this was one of them. Lovely sculptures. Thanks for the cache.
We are heading south to our Waikato base this afternoon and finding a few caches along the way. We have driven past here so many times thinking that one day it would be nice to call in for a relaxed explore. Well, today we did call in to find the caches but, given the lateness in the day and the biting cold wind with occasional rain, relaxing it was not. This is a great place for a cache hide. Thanks.
Dipping a travel bug in for a visit.

Stopped by on our way home and decided to make these night caches. This is our first one along the path.
Coming back from Pokeno so I could do these ones today. Quiet today just me doing the wander. Went with hint first then stood back and spotted it. Tftc
I had to go to Hamilton to check on the repairs on my caravan and stopped off here to get a cache to keep up with my personal challenge.
One day I will sign off all the caches here.
Cheers for the cache.

Cool canoes, this was my turn around point, so took some pictures and signed the cache. Thanks for the hide, fun find this afternoon
We were going blind without reception, and happened to find this one just by thinking about logical positions! Good find and not a muggle in sight
Sudden stop to see what the reserve was about. Brain wave halfway through that there might be some caches and there was. Sorry no pen in pocket as didn't come to find the caches.
Found it but not able to sign the log.

Came here today to have a look around. Good excuse to get the family out & about.
Heading to Morrinsville and stopped to see how many of these caches we could pick up. Managed to do them all. Took a brief moment to locate this one. Interesting coming to this site. #4715. TFTC.
Stopped here for Juty Bug to get a WP for an AdLab. I noticed this cache here also and had it in hand while he was still trying to find it on his phone. All good. TFTC
Nobody else around so it was a nice quick find. Really liked these 4 canoes. TFTC

Great to be able to get back here to find these caches that we didn't have time for on our previous trip passed. This one was in the second place I looked. TFTC

Headed for this one in the heat of the midday sun and met up with urbangypsynz and mrcleverclogsnz. The log was too wet to sign so a strip of waterproof paper served as the replacement log. TFTC
Found on the way around to check out the cultural artworks. First stop, easy find. Unable to sign log as was very wet, photo attached. Just getting group together for a photo when a familiar face walked up, after taking our photo she found the cache and replaced the log, we then were able to sign. Beautiful artwork and scenery on a very hot day.
Having driven past this reserve twice we decided that today we would stop and collect some caches on our way south.
A nice easy find but the cache was full of water and the log was so yucky we didn't want to touch it.

Found after a little bit of searching. Unable to sign the log as cache was full of water. Will need replacing.
Located cache but found it full of water. Emptied the water, log too wet to clearly sign (took photo if CO needs to see it). Replaced as found, hopefully it drys out a bit. TFTC!
It has been a long time since Team SEAC did a numbers day, so we jumped on the chance to join when Keylev initiated this day. We started at 8 am and got home around 11 pm, and attempted most caches in Cambridge, Te Awamutu and finishing with a night cache in Huntly.
As we headed South, Mrs HeMaLuDy remembered this series of caches that have been on our radar for a while. We had previously found the cache in the carpark, but the rain was too heavy to carry on that day. Today we decided to stop, and wander to grab the other caches here. This was a nice easy find with so many pairs of eyes searching. Time to head along the track to the next one.

My first full day with Team SEAC! Very excited and a little intimidated! Very fun!
First caches for the day, and a wonderful structure to find it! Tftc

Like the Willy Nelson song, Team SEAC were On The Road Again. It had been quite a while since we had gathered to go on a road trip, so a trip to Cambridge was organised to clear out that town. All logs signed as S.E.A.C to preserve log space.
Continuing on down the track, we came to these four canoes. We spread out and started searching different areas before one of the team informed us all that they had found it.

A number of Team SEAC banded together for a road trip day out targeting Cambridge and surrounds and ending up with a night cache. As per usual there were laughs, dramas, cache finding and a generally fun day!
Woohoo first find of the day!
Thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the cache.
It had been quite a while since Team SEAC had been on a caching road trip together so a plan was hatched for a day trip to clear out Cambridge. It was a long but fun day, as we cleared out Te Awamutu as well, with the promise of not leaving it so long before our next roadie. All caches were signed SEAC to save space.
As we were driving Southbound it made sense to stop at the Scientific Reserve to grab the short series. This was find #2 for the day. TFTC!

Had some spare time when heading past here today so I thought I'd better stop and give these caches a go. Headed to the end and cached back to the car, managed to avoid the rain also so a bonus there.
Another nice quick hide, thanks for the placement.

Found this today with Xmasbabe and frog93. Nice walk here before the rain, not sure of the relevance of the hint. TFTC
After a little bit of a look we had the cache in hand. Log book was wet so we put a dry piece of paper in the container.
Out for the afternoon with a friend and my daughter and the dog to collect a few caches. Lovely walk managed to dodge the rain. Nice hide. Thanks
Miss Eight and I stopped here to stretch our legs on our drive south today. Found the container without issues, but the log was too wet and mouldy to sign.
