A hot weekend, so day1976 and I headed to a river and waterfall to camp near. The next day we drive the long drive through the plantations to find more caches, and then out into civilisation.
After lunch we continued caching.
After lunch we continued caching.
I think I've gone weeks without searching for a nano now this one makes in 3 in a row. Hoping my senses stay switched on for the day, as I tackle this section of the rail trail.
With no one about this one was found after searching for a few minutes.
After a month long hiatus we were back in the game today! We met up with our good friend Rebel Acts once again after spending some 5 months north in NSW and Queensland. Catching up on things round home and grandchildren had kept us grounded for some time since arriving home.
It was great to be out and about again and the banter and laughs are always a bonus.
There were a few great hides and caches were in surprisingly good condition despite the recent weather. Well done to the COs'
We ran into kbucky and Tiz13 while having lunch in a cafe in Leongatha which was an added bonus on a great day.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache kbucky.

Came back for this one today after there were too many muggles around last time I tried. Luckily in the fading light and cold no one was around so we were able to quickly make the find. TFTC!
Found by Peter and Marian at 1601hrs with muggles Graeme and Lyn on a bike ride from Leongatha to Koonwarra. TNLN TFTC.
This cache should be listed as a NANO not Micro.

Out on another geocaching trip with Gnome5580 and on a freezing cold day we hit Leongatha, this one was luckily a quick find then straight back to the car to defrost! TFTC!!
Me and Beckgiz are out on out Geocaching adventure. I am freezing my butt off!
Thanks for the find

Find 2859
This one had us beat for quite some time. Gps took us away from where we thought it should be. It was raining slightly and the 2 items proved negitive. We decided to try the cache further along the trail. On the return george started another look. After about 5 mins it was feel that managed the find. Very sneaky.
PS: Just noticed that coords have been changed. I was working on my offline list which did not have the updates.
All good now and thanks kbucky

Found by David in company with pprass at 13:05. Mary and cprass took the day off to check out the local shops. We'd just bought our lunch at the nearby Shady Oaks Cafe, and wandered over here after eating. The search proved strange, as pprass's GZ was about 20m west from our eventual find, and David's GZ was a similar distance east. However, we thought that the cache would be in a more relevant place, and pprass eventually found it there as our GPSrs finally decided to converge on that spot. Our thanks to kbucky.
Found at 1:09 PM GAFF3 in the company of maccamob.
This one took ages for a couple of reasons - first of all we had conflicting locations with our identical GPSr's and then we were not thinking "nano"
Why as a matter of interest are just about all of the caches in this town nano's and micro's? Can't anything bigger be considered, or will that be sacrilege to have variety?
Thanks kbucky.

The easing of Covid19 travel restrictions, gave us the perfect opportunity to team up with Suscoe and spend a couple of days caching in sunny South Gippsland, including this find on our mostly "Gatha Day"
Mr S had this one in hand very quickly.
Thanks kbucky for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Suscoe and Phetlern were caching in the Leongatha area today.
It was a delightful day with plenty of sunshine.
We enjoyed finding a range of caches in a variety of locations.
Thanks to kbucky for this hide.

After enjoying afternoon tea with Suscoe and Phetlern yesterday afternoon we ventured up to Leongatha. After I had found this cache we were having afternoon tea nearby under a huge, old oak tree, when they rang. They had seen our car and wondered where we were. You don’t see any cachers for months and suddenly the same ones twice in 24 hours! I had noticed they had signed the log earlier today. I wonder whether they had only been minutes before I got there? It was an easy find and cache and contents were in good condition.
Replaced yet again. Argh this one has been replaced 4 times now. May have to move it. Have made premium so that might help in the interim. Will see.
While the others went shopping further within Leongatha, I took some time to explore the area and find some caches, something that I, despite passing through the town semi-frequently, have never really stopped to do here.
My last find for the day and one I'm surprised to have found without any hassle.
With a playground nearby, the rail trail next to gz and some lovely weather overhead, it was a recipe for muggles.
Though it seems they were all off having lunch and, once two bike riders had passed, I had the area to myself.
The cache was found in the obvious spot, though clearly it was recently replaced by someone who had skinnier arms than I!
I managed to grab the cache with the tips of my fingers and the log was subsequently signed.
Thanks to kbucky for placing this here!

10 May 2021 2:20 pm Out and about caching with Gonefishen07. It's been way too long between caches. Thanks kbucky for the cache.
Found with Hearse068 on a day out caching around town. OMG I’ve nearly forgot what to do it’s been that long been drinks so to speak. We had lots of fun hanging out like we use to. Thank you so much for taking the time to place this cache it was very enjoyable. TFTC well stopped for lunch with Hearse068 not sure it did me any good cause I’ve lost my mojo Hearse068 is still laughing at me
I was sure of where I’d find it, but still took me longer than anticipated. Thank you for the cache!
Mr S made short work of this one. We had thought for a moment that the cache was fenced off, but all was good. TFTC.
Yahoo finally found a cache in Leongatha on a wet windy Sunday. Just about to cycle Rail Trail. Easy find, signed the sign.
I knew exactly what this cache would be and where I would find it. And I was correct. I had to be careful as it seemed to be a big bike riding day but managed to avoid all muggles.
Found on a caching day out with gwd.aussie and d@geo . Look for cache to full gaps in the finds by hidden month calendar. Thanks kbucky
Lucky found without being too obvious, with kid size muggles nearby
Out caching with D@geo and sharon14
Thank you for the hide kbucky

Found on a caching day out with gwd.aussie and Sharon14. In the area concentrating on some caches hidden over the last year to fill gaps in the finds by hidden month calendar.
Had to wait for a passing muggle but once they had passed gwd.aussie quickly had the cache in hand.
Thanks kbucky

#4503 Having collected a number of caches along the GS Rail Trail earlier today it was fitting we collected the first one before we left the area. Waited for one muggle to pass and then we pounced on the find! TFTC kbucky.
No muggles so plenty of time to search for this cache but we didn't need it as the cache was soon in hand. Log signed, container good. Returned as found.
A trip down to Fish Creek for a few days.
I was a bit early, so stopped for a few on the way after I was out of the Big Smoke.
I hope to do a bit of this Rail Trail while I am down here, but I thought I might just start with this cache.
Interesting information on the board.
Thanks, Robmc.

The weather was looking good and I needed to get out of the house, with restrictions lifted in regional Vic I headed out to explore Kurumburra and Leongatha armed with My mask and Sanitizer, I had a great day exploring the region, this is one of the caches I found today. Glad I have long arms.
Thanks kbucky for the cache.
Thanks kbucky for the cache.
Freezing cold and windy day, still good to get out with the kids. TFTC.
found the plastic bag under the big great southern rail trail sign stuck to the post
Maintenance needed. Report it was not as it should be. Will rethink this one as it has been misplaced twice now
You’ll think it is something else that’s a clue. It took 10min to find
Hi Team Thommo, I replaced log and wrote in names of people who had already found it
Nice find, we have found one similar before. The sign is filthy and honestly a bit of an embarrassment to the town so hopefully soon we will com into town and clean in down. TFTC
Found fltf
Curious as the last log was to say the co replaced the log yet the log I found had several names on it

Hi, cache interfered with and log missing. Will redo and replace by June 15, 11am
Not sure how anyone would stumble across it at all. Oh well. All good. Thanks for the heads up Maggiemae1801

Out for a drive with my partner on way to Loch, Korumburra, Leogatha and Inverloch for the day. Beautiful scenery everywhere and towns. Stopped here for a little break. Found it quickly without muggles notice it. . Thanks kbucky for placing this cache.

Congrats on your FTF MadCoop! You just beat us! Given we live 464m from this cache, I knew we had to race down after school drop off this morning. Thanks for placing another great cache on this rail trail, although you might need to edit the cache name soon as works are underway to extend the rail trail to Korumburra, so this won’t be the beginning anymore! Thanks so much for the cache kbucky
