8th, and final, find while out for a walk doing some caching. I bush bashed across country from the previous find. There was a large mob of kangaroos, with a large male, right where I wanted to go. I tried to go around, but they decided not to hang around and hopped off, stopping a short distance away, watching me. Once at GZ I started my search. I had to be wary of the blackberries, there will be plenty of brambles come spring. After a while I spotted a likely hide and had CIH. Log stamped and all returned and I decided to head back to the car and get some lunch. Soon I found the path and then was back on the fire trail. TFTC.
I had a laugh at the band-aids - given the amount of blackberry we had to fight through. No pen so took a photo as proof. TNLN TFTC
Found whilst out and about with fitzy_1965 today.Nice to finally be out and getting my fitness up after a terrible last year. Thanks for placing this cache.
34,095. Found with minniek during a meander around Mt Arawang and region. This cluster of caches had been on our list to do for a while. Today we did a circuit and went up and over for most of the available caches. After a few more oldies for minniek we arrived at this one. A nice quick find once at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued on our journey around the area. Thanks DSD !! Another MM knocked off.
Been a while since weve collected another Mythological Monster. This one certainly didnt disappoint. There are some real nice boulders near GZ. Cache found out in the open, on the ground so replaced a little more tucked away. All good with the hide. Cheers DSD--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
Nabbed this while doing the AL on Mt Arawang. Ive never been up here before absolutely beautiful spot.Ducked off the path for this one, very nicely hidden away. Didnt see any octopus heads thankfullythanks!
Out for a lovely walk on Mount Arawang and Coleman Ridge.
We followed various trails and made detours along the way, spending quite a few hours out in the area.
The rain had stopped shortly after we parked the car this morning and so the walk was cool, and everything green.
Log signed.
Thanks Darksidedan

Found on a big day walking Cooleman Ridge. Man, the walk up the hill to this one was a killer! Very steep. Once at GZ I had a breather and watched a quick YoUTube video before continuing my search. Spotted within a couple of minutes, very well hidden and tucked away! Nicely sized cache too. TNLNSL. TFTC DSD!
Grabbing some caches on this nice early morning with Wilbert67.

A beautiful morning walk up down and around the mountain with J+J.AU that turned into a couple of hrs. Weather started out great for the day and turned pretty warm later on. All caches found fairly easy.

#1603 My last find today and 4th in the Mythological Monsters series. This one eluded me initially until I caught a glimpse from a different angle. Now for my final ascent to the peak and ultimate return to the geovehicle. Cheers DSD.
After a long week at home working, the opposite of fun, I found a few trips to make over the long weekend. I joined a small group of cachers for a walk along the eastern part of Coolamon Ridge, and back up Mt Arawang for fun so the others could get those. A lot of up and down today, but we managed the multi, a where-i-go and several traditionals. I think the highlight was the boulder climb.
Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN

#4027 A quick find. Lucky I looked in the right place. Cache in very good condition.
Another lovely view and some more impressive boulders. A slightly different perspective from here with a view of the back end of Kambah.
Cache in good condition and tucked away in a very protective spot. Thanks for the find DSD. A favourite for your efforts .

A nice family outing for exercise on a glorious sunny winter/spring like day on Cooleman ridge.
The aim was to give Hoppy a nice outing, get our heart rate up and collect some last caches out this end of the ridge.
Nice set of boulders her and the cache was spotted making the way around them.
Thank you DARKSIDEDAN for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Found this nice Cache together with Dino and Flintstones. Thank you for putting it out and maintaining it DARKSIDEDAN.
It's been a while since we've been on Cooleman Ridge, and we noticed there were four new ones since we were there last. So we took The Woofer for a chilly morning walk. We found 4 of 4, and left a squishy mochie animal in each one.
A nice easy find on our way back down the hill. TFTC!

So much space in here for swappable. Another great view with incredible rock formations.tftc!
A nice walk around, up and over the hill to grab these caches. All found OK.
Thanks

Exploring some more of Cooleman Ridge today. The views either side are fantastic
Decrypter and I continued our walk. I think this end of Cooleman Ridge is hillier than the other end. We found the cache and log in good condition, and signed after the last logger, Green-Martian, in November last year. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN.
This was one of 2 caches on Coleman ridge which I found today. The views and day are cut out from a postcard. Tftc
Took a short afternoon constitutional around the mound and to pick up a few nearby caches. All found easily.
My last section of the ridge today and this part doesn't disappoint. This was my first for today and I was wishing it was lunch time, such a lovely spot to sit and just enjoy the ambience. A lovely Travel Bug here, hoping to end up in Houston - think it might take a while with Covid!! Cache all good and a fave from me, thanku
Out for my Saturday afternoon constitutional to regain fitness after knee replacement surgery.
Great afternoon!
I am Grumpy!

It was a perfect Canberra spring day today, even though it's not even spring yet. Since there is snow on the Brindies, we thought we would take the GeoPoodle out for a walk somewhere where their were both views and geocaches, and, today, the lucky winning location was Mt Arrawang.
We headed in through the horse paddock, and then up the steep climb, before heading down in a westerly direction and picking up the caches down that way - and we even spotted and logged a trackable..
This was cache number four, and I finally got to use the trackable scanner in my Geooohh Go! App - and it worked flawlessly.
The trackable is in good order, the cache is in good order, the trees were shady and the views were great...
Thanks for the Cache DARKSIDEDAN

Heading up the hill making a quick detour to hunt down this creature...got it!

A straightforward find (after 5 minutes of searching, then looking in the obvious place I had earlier dismissed!) with the GeoPup as we rambled around and over the mountain on a gloomy day. Thank you!

A quick short walk UP to the next cache. Quick and easy find at GZ. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN.
**Our Day**
Today was for relaxing but we still wanted to get some exercise mid afternoon to keep the body well oiled.
We looked for an accumulation of caches to again determine our circuit that had to include distance, climbing, more climbing , rock hoping and a cross country obstacle course. The good views and beautiful landscape would be a bonus. Yet again, DSD provided us with the goods so we headed in the direction of Chapman 'Cooleman Ridge Nature Reserve' and we were not disappointed. Walked 5.11km just under 2 hrs with 254m ascent/descent in crisp and sometimes windy conditions and watched the rain come across the Brindabellas as we were finishing up for the day. A favourite point for all his caches found today will be placed on the multicache 'Krytios - The Unbreakable Code' for the fun climb using the natural rock TOTT at GZ.

I found this one to be a good find while getting away from potential muggles. TFTC
Out on a reccy of a couple of your other caches this morning out here on the glorious Cooleman Ridge .. yep, going to need assistance on the retrieve of those two. And so as to not have an entirely unsatisfactory outing, headed over to claim this one. The Garmin GPSr had me a good 10 metres away, but an exploration of not one, but two largish boulders soon had the cache in hand. The weather was getting much colder, and so left another similar unfound hide up here, for another day... after all, it is always nice to be walking about on the ridge, caching or not. TFTC DSD
Found while coming down the other side of the mountain. Pphh.. Cthulhu - What could possibly be scary on such a beautiful day... TFTC.
Morning walk came directly from nearby cache up hill that is..
after approaching GZ took a few laps around till found a possible location
Bingo. +1 for location

After a week of working from home I felt the need to grab a few caches, and since it was a gorgeous day, arranged with the boss to have this afternoon off. Decided to focus on Cooleman Nature Reserve as there were a few caches in the vicinity that I could grab on a round trip. Managed to score nine caches for the afternoon in glorious weather. I really like caching with other people, but it was nice to head out by myself too. Lots of kangaroos and black wallabies spotted. Walked on paths, tracks, footpads and desire trails - really enjoyed the exercise and the lovely views from all over!
First cache of the afternoon and a few options to explore at GZ. Found it tucked away after hitting up a couple of spots.
Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the cache and the fun!

Coolaman Ridge has been a place I have visited many times before for the caches up the way, and as many times as I have come, there was also so many more up this way. Today with GreyHams we came to tackle them all and a two car set up worked well allowing us to zig zag as needed all the way across to the ones we both had... without the long walk back!
I have always loved the stunning views from this part of Canberra over the ranges and on a beautiful day as it was, it was quite pleasant to be walking along through the area... made for another very nice day out.
Thanks for your cache that helped lead us through the area, all caches targeted found without issue and all in good condition. No doubt we will be back for others as they pop up but it is a lovely area to return to!

I have been kind of putting off Cooleman Ridge for a long time as the geofamily occasionally ask me for a nice nearby caching walk....but then they see the hills and balk at the idea.... so, as of this morning there are 16 hides up their waiting for me.
There clearly a few more coming.... 3 or 4, but never mind, they will keep for the next 6-12 months....maybe I will save them for a family walk.
Today I was out with Aquilus1 again, on a beautiful day. A little windy perhaps but it was just so nice out there.

**This Cache:**
This large boulder couldn't do without a cache, so a cache it got! A good one to grab whilst heading up the path nearby to the top!
---
**Placement:**
I was present in the placement of this cache during a multi-month expedition of planned out hides with DARKSIDEDAN. Many caches were hidden over the course of several months, and the listings were slowly brainstormed and created during a time when no caches were being published. I have logged this find on the date I was at the GZ location. Many of these date's I also found older caches hidden by other CO's which have been previously logged.
I hope everyone also enjoy's some of the challenging caches and unique locations that were picked out, as well as those that are more accessible, it was great to hide a multitude of types to accomodate to the way's people enjoy to cache!
Thanks DSD for allowing me to assist! And well done on the huge effort you go to in hiding caches and keeping our community active!
