16-Nov-24
We needed to count our qs and everything else a number of times before getting the coords. Easy find once at GZ. Such a good concept for a geocache.

15-Nov-24
We came here and found the clues but were unsuccessful in solving right away. Took a picture and returned to our boat and then recounted all the various things and got the right coordinates. We returned to the dock, and walked over to grab the cache. Log is very full.

17-Sep-24
Love it. Had to check the plaque twice, but found it. TfTC

22-Apr-24
Nice pleasant spot here. Seems there is a whole series of these plaques around Queensland with all sorts of information. Took a while of counting and re-counting to make sure the checksum finally agreed then a quick find once at GZ. That log is getting full! TFTC!

Having a wander around Southport and the Broadwater Parklands while holidaying on the Gold Coast. In the background, I'm getting to listen to race commentary from the nearby aquatic centre ... seems the national swimming championships are on!The Q150 Survey Marker rings a bell ... I'm sure I've seen it before, so I'm guessing I may have found its predecessor back around 2016. Now I've found it twice! A straightforward find here today as I had worked out the final coords before I came, which meant no backtracking was needed! Thanks for this interesting multi E_Smiley.

29-Mar-24
Got their in the end! Thanks for such a great history lesson and hunt

16-Feb-24
Recounted everything a few times so that the checksum aligned, and then walked to GZ for a quick sign.

10-Feb-24
Thankyouu for a very fun cache

06-Feb-24
Found the final location but not the cache, will come back another day to look more

15-Nov-23
Yellow, messed up the calculations a few times but logic led the way tftc

07-Oct-23
A drive around the area and then a park for a walk around was the order for today. Multis are one of those caches you either love or dislike. I like the informative and quick ones. This was a fun grab of information we did do some research. Thanks for the fun we had here today, the weather was a little blowy and the occasional rain did not stop us from walking around.

04-Oct-23
Staying on the coast for a bit, GreenGecko 1 & I are grabbing a couple of Multis to fill in dates .?. All good here.

04-Oct-23
Out and about with Muggle65 today. We are trying to build our multi numbers so here we are. Thank you for the fun ??

10-Sep-23
Found it

01-Sep-23
Took us a little to figure it out. Apparently there was a GPS missing I couldn't see. Either way found it with checksum and checking the coords. Cool geocache related history cache. Tftc

14-Jul-23
Took time to get the multi resolved. TFTC

11-Jul-23
A little bit of work to solve this multi, but satisfying to complete.

Thanks, E_Smiley!

10-Jul-23
A tricky multi that required time to complete the counting as it deceivingly requires Dr Google. So, we took a photo of the plaque yesterday and completed the maths and research at 6:30am this morning while the grandkids were still asleep

A very interesting read when all said and done. An unusual but relaxing location for the GZ hide however the highway nearby was incredibly busy being school holidays. Found on our way out of Sea World mid afternoon. TFTC E_Smiley.

09-Jul-23
I could have swarn I logged this one, but hey, maybe old age is getting in the way.Thankfully, I have a few photos of the day so I didnt have to remember the date.I do remember working this one out maybe a year ago, but every time we came by GZ there were too many people close to GZ. We may have come past 2 or 3 times, but today was our day. I wasted no time going for it then retreated to the shore with the kids to log in.We played around on the beach for a bit before heading off. Thanks again E:)

16-Apr-23
Did all the calculations but was off by one in the sum checker. So simply added 1 to each of the letters until the coordinates landed in a sensible spot. Then it was super easy to find the final cache.
Worked out our mistake.
Tip: there’s a couple of words that are unreadable on the plaque. A quick google of the acronym made it clear.

Wasn't able to find

20-Feb-23
Today I joined up with go-friends RoddyC, Hatzofff and Patrol14 to attend a couple of Events down the Gold Coast and also find a few caches that we haven't yet found. We arrived at GZ and a quick search and the cache was revealed thanks to a step up.
Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC

18-Feb-23
Caching and trying to keep cool on this warm day with RoddyC Imbunda and Patrol14.

We toured to the plaque and calculated the final but we did not have time before the event to pick it up. It was on the list for today to complete.

An interesting multi.

Finally signed before we headed home.

18-Feb-23
Catching with hatzofff, patrol14 and imbunda on the Gold Coast north.

Last cache before our second event to attend today. Simple little multi worked OK. Cache reasonably easy to procure with the aid of a step-up.

Log signed and cache replaced as found at 12:23 PM on February 18, 2023. TFTC, E_Smiley

12-Jan-23
In QLD for work and I wanted a multi today. I tried this morning before work with no luck at another multi. I had this one solved... but the clues didn't quite work. CO pointed out my error and I was off after dinner for the find which was thankfully straight forward.

Thanks to E_Smiley for the fun and the adventure.

29-Nov-22
Love this multi! My second one so far, Tftc!

21-Aug-22
Nice multi, found all in good order

27-May-22
Walked along and got the information for this one. Took us a bit to get had to double check a few times to get the check sum to work. Once that was done we walked to our calculated gz. But it didn't seem right. Had a brief search but found nothing. Rechecked my calculations and realised that I had transposed a couple of figures. Walked back to the actual gz and made a quick find. TFTC

24-Apr-22
Took a picture of the plaque while walking along the foreshore doing another geocache. I saw later that it actually was the start of a multi. I don’t do many multi as I am rarely successful. Worked out a reasonable set of coordinates and set off to find the cache. Looked around for awhile at all likely spots but came up empty handed. Got a nudge in the right direction from CO and off I went in my quest. Found cache easily enough but retrieving it was another matter. Enlisted help but they weren’t much help at all. I sent an explanation to CO of my predicament and thankfully I was allowed a find. Given a favourite point.
An enjoyable afternoon walking along the foreshore. Finished off with a multi find TFTC

Lovely little multi. We doubted our finals but the boy spotted it. Glad he was here too as he had to get on my shoulders to make the grab. Thanks E:)

Another caching day with Peppa and it's his turn to pick the caches to do. After our twarted attempt of finding the oldie at Binna Burra, we are taking a walk around Southport with the 3 Wherigos. While on our way to another WP, we stopped to check out the plaque and calculate where the final GZ is.
A bit of help from a previous finder (Peppa) and I located the cache. Unfortunately I am vertically challenged so used natures extension pole to get the cache. SL then the fun began to return it. Without a ring on the end was hard to put back with my tool, but Peppa managed to shimmy up the pole and put it back.... that's what friends are for..

I struggled at WP1, missing little bits of the required data. After making a few adjustments and having the checksum, I hoped it was correct. Arrived at GZ, and there was only really one structure to search at. After not seeing it immediately I thought I had messed
Up the coords. I didn’t give up and took some steps back, and finally saw the cache. I moved a nearby rock over so I could step up and make the grab. TFTC!

Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I took my visiting family south to the Gold Coast. We firstly stopped at Broadwater Parklands in Southport to have a walk around, seeing the small mangroves patch, rooftop lookout and a few of the other family activities whilst completing the *Broadwater Parkland Stroll* Adventure Lab. After grabbing morning coffees, we had lunch in Robina, and I took the opportunity to find a few geocaches in the area, before departing back home for the day.

This plaque was pretty cool to point out, as I'm sure all Geocachers will appreciate its content. However, I have to say that I had to spend so much time and iterations on performing counts with answering these questions! My first round of answers was rather short to agree with the checksum, so I had to double-triple check a number of questions and soon found more letters or words to cumulate. In the end, I managed to get the checksum to agree, but I still wasn't confident on my solution, so much so, that I thought I'd reach out to the CO to see if they could confirm. In addition, GZ appeared to be in the opposite direction that we were travelling in, so I thought I'd have a go on the way back, and if my arithmetic was wrong, then no worries; I'd get it upon a future visit.

Upon arriving at my calculated GZ, I checked a few places, and sure enough, I managed to find the geocache reasonably quickly - I should have trusted my calculations all along! The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks E_Smiley for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. A multi-cache well worth its difficulty rating! Nice one though.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Solved this multi ages ago but today was the first time I had a chance to locate. After reading the logs I knew I would not be able to retrieve and today I had my daughter with me to help. She also found it a little tricky and eventually the granddaughter was lifted to retrieve. Was much easier to replace. TFTC E_Smiley.

28-Aug-21
It’s crazy o’clock in the morning and we’re here for the Dog Show as part of the Gold Coast show… the fact that it’s sooooo cold is the reason I’m using that it took several readings for me to get the checksum to work…

Then it was a nice walk in the sun to locate the cache between exercising muggles… tftc…

18-Mar-21
Today we headed towards the Broadwater to do the 2 AL & few other caches that we pass during our walk.
This is an interesting area of Surfers, many changes along here since we were last in the area.
I was able to find a photo of the plaque on line so had the multi sorted before leaving home.
Thankyou E_Smiley for placing this cache.

24-Jan-21
At the GZ we knew the sign we needed to be able to sign the log. Fortunately GhostGums had the height to be able to retrieve the little container and soon had our names in the log. TFTC

24-Jan-21
Mrs Gunnie and I spent NYE on the Gold Coast and on our way to our accommodation, packed a picnic and sat under the trees to the right of the listed coords for this cache. [^]

A couple of hours later, I meandered past the plaque, snapped a pic and figured I would work the final coords out and set it aside for a future visit. That worked very well as it turned out. Big Grin

The last cache of a very busy hunting day for Ghostgums, NurseyJulie and I, I had sent them the plaque photo so they could do their homework, then we all headed in this afternoon to track the container down. Smile

While the cache didn't take to long to spot, it played hard to get and didn't want to come out easily. A little persistence and patience did the trick though and we were grateful to have Ghostgums height on hand for the extraction. Wink

Log in hand and names added, GG tucked everything back as found and we were done for the day. Time to relax at the event and wind down a little.

I recall having this image and information for the first iteration of this cache, but I don't recall ever finding it, so it's nice to have it ticked off this time around.

Cheers E(:

24-Jan-21
Hmm so information is required you say. This here looks a good place and has some details that might help us out.

Well the retrieval off this cache! It was my moment to shine! Big Grin

There was some discussion on what to count and what not to, as we ended up with two different sets of numbers! Chose the closer numbers and it all worked out for us! A smiley!

Found with Gunnie69 and Nurseyjulie as we made our way down to the Gold Coast for the Out on the Spit #2 event by SaintsMadHouse.

Thanks for the hunt and the cache, much appreciated Smile

We had a really nice wander around the area on a cool but pleasant afternoon collecting some caches.

We struggled to get our counts right but after a few recounts we had it sorted. At GZ a quick find thankfully.

Thanks...

Finally got the check sum to work

Found quiet quickly

I've spent a few days with a friend at Labrador, and today we had to vacate our apartment. However, I had several hours to while away before heading back to Brisbane, and the caches and ALs along the Broadwater Parklands were calling very loudly!

Having done the previous cache, I could refer to my old photo for the required info and plot the numbers. Today it was a pleasant walk to GZ, where I quickly spotted the container, but being slightly vertically challenged made it a long reach Razz TFTC, E_Smiley.

Out doing an adventure lab in the area. This one gave me no end of grief. The writing was very difficult to read in the sun. Muggles kept coming down the ramp behind me and asking me to move - pesky social distancing.

First run through and my numbers were way off. Another go and I was closer. Third time was not lucky, but I was only one number out. Stepped away for a wheelchair to pass and spotted what I had missed. Finished the two labs before coming back to the final.

Thanks for reviving this one. Nice easy find with the hint and an empty GZ. Added bonus of catch up coffee with the CO after too. [^]

07-Oct-20
All good with this cache, just needed to recover it while a few romantic muggles were close by. Smile

Thanks for the cache. In good condition.
It was nice to find a quiet spot at GZ.

Day 1 of our Gold Coast holiday, the kids and I rode past the posted coordinates, and slowed down long enough for Mum to snap a quick photo.

I attempted to do some mathematics on the spot, and failed miserably. Fail #1. Back at the hotel room that night, I had a glass of champers while watching the sunset, and then tried again to solve. Nope. Fail #2. After dinner, three champers in... things were not headed in the right direction. Fail #3.

So after a good sleep, watching the sunrise with a coffee, a tried again. Fail #4. Oh dear. The kids were busting to go for another swim, so I let them, and decided to check one more time. Oh, I see my error. I had to read the instructions, duh. So on my fifth attempt, I finally go the checksum to work. This is why I don't do multis in the field, folks.

Today was our last day, and we returned for a wander around the park again so I could pick up solved coords for this puzzle and for the AL bonus caches. All is well with this beautiful little cache.

Ordinary Ankh-Morpork citizens are inordinately fond of street theatre, and have a very liberal definition of such. They will gather and watch anything occurring in the streets, while something that is actually interesting can bring the city to a complete halt. Some popular one-act productions include the Guild of Fools on fire, somebody threatening to jump off the top of a building (even though everybody knows they're doing it just to get tobacco money), overturned beer carts, public hangings and so on. Where crowds gather, Mr. Cut-Me-Own-Throat Dibbler ("cutting-me-own-throat" as in he's selling things so cheaply it's suicidal) is guaranteed to be present, selling sausages-in-a-bun and other unhygienic, possibly un-food, fast food. If there is a crowd and Dibbler is there and not selling anything, then there is something seriously wrong (really seriously wrong).

27-Sep-20
Solved this early in our walk but as it was in the opposite direction to where we were heading, left it for the walk back. Made a quick find. Thanks for the cache

Over to Southport to pick up a couple of newer caches including E_Smiley's adventure lab. A beautiful end of Winter's day soon had us stripping off the layers of clothing as we hunted 4 prizes simultaneously. We found the information at the co-ordinates and it had us stumped for a bit and then ah hah and the numbers crunched.

We could smell fish and chips being cooked at the cafe behind us so an executive decision was made to grab some sustenance before grabbing the cache. 25 minutes later, with battered fish and a beer in the belly, the prize was spotted. We had to wait out a young couple playing with their phones behind GZ. They left, we swooped, signed and replaced. We had driven past the entrance to the restaurant here but had never seen it. It must be pretty good as it was packed (to Covid capacity) on a Monday lunch! TFTC E_Smiley and for bringing us down here on such a splendid day. A fave point from us.

21-Aug-20
Found clue weeks ago and did the maths at home. Down here for the weekend with a smiley found thanks for this multi.

14-Aug-20
Bob and I came to do this multi years ago. We collected the info, worked out co-ords and didn’t find it only to find out it was missing. Stupidly I didn’t keep the info we gathered so this was the reason we were here again today to do it again. Thank goodness for the checksum which required we look more carefully. With everything looking rosy off we went for what turned out to be a quick find. Although everywhere was busy today GZ was thankfully quiet. So glad to have completed this one today.
Cheers and happy caching!

14-Aug-20
After collecting the information and doing some necessary recalculations we made our way to GZ for a fairly quick find. Thanks.

04-Aug-20
Watawieh from Norfolk Island South Pacific.
I had attempted this one a couple of weeks ago when I cached the Broadwater Parklands area but I could not get good coords that matched the checksum. I took a photo of the information and that night when I got home I was able to calculate good coords. Today after a nearby appointment I made the search and quickly had the cache in hand. TFTC

Finally catching up on back logs.

Down the coast for the week to help Mrs. JaT celebrate her 60th birthday.

Nearly forgot this one. Nice quick multi even though we miscalculated the first go.

Out and about with barbbowman and FastEd who were with me on the coast to help me celebrate my 60th Birthday. Info for the multi ground zero was quickly gathered and we were soon able to add our names to the log.

Thank you E_Smiley for creating the multi-cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy.

walked back to the car then fasted remembered there was a multi here that i wanted to do

quick walk back to the info and then off to a nice spot for a final

Took us a few goes at the plaque, but got there in the end! TFTC Smile

19-Jul-20
Adding to the string of apparent finders today!

EatAllThePie & I are out grabbing some caches and doing the Broadwater AL’s, so we thought we’d grab this one too.
It took us a second to get the right coords for this! After double checking our workings (and reading the plaque properly), we had a good-looking set of numbers in our hands.
It’s the opposite way to the way we want to go!
After doing the AL’s and failing to find a bonus cache, we grabbed this one pretty easily. We did have an elderly muggle watching on from nearby, but with some careful timing we did the signing duties without a hitch.

TFTC!

15-Jul-20
a tough multi, was a bit off the first time but managed to get good lookings numbers and made a quick find at gz. Thanks

03-Jul-20
Last find for Eskies5 and I today. We tried to grab this one today but were muggled out. Today we had more luck and were able to retrieve and sign the log. TFTC E_Smiley

03-Jul-20
After driving up to the Natural Bridge we cached our way back along the road towards the coast enjoying the scenery and enjoying muggle free caching. But we had unfinished business here. After gathering the info yesterday while doing the Wherigo we arrived at GZ to find three teens perched nearby and sadly we moved on empty handed. So before dropping Kestal at her accommodation we swung by here and happily our names are now in the log. The last for me today before heading back to Toowoomba. TFTC E_Smiley.

23-Jun-20
The answers are not as straightforward as you think. We had to reverse engineer before we found a GZ that seemed reasonable.

14-Jun-20
Visited the plaque 2 days ago, could not get the numbers to add up probably, but two lead me to a area which looked promising. This morning I left Motel to grab this one and the 2 bonus Lab caches, unable to get one due to people fishing. The other one I am not confident with the figures I got so I will see how I go. Thanks for putting this one up

27-May-20
Gathered the required info previously and finally got my numbers to balance out before returning to collect a smilie. Had to pretend to be doing something else at GZ as two nearby muggles looked like they were settling in for the day. With great tactical stealth I soon had cache in hand, log signed and returned before you could blink.
Beautiful area to visit on a lovely autumns day or any day really

Out today with grannysmith1947 Selva Girls and Miss Millie. We pick up a few caches today. I grab a few Selva Girls grab a few grannysmith1947 grab a few. We all each help each other with a few different caches.
We finished two Adventure Lab with 10 waypoint, 5 mystery, 2 letterbox, 2 multi, a Wherigo and 10 traditional. We had a great day. So overall 30 finds.
Sorry for the generic log.

Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. E TFTC *535* streak. *3175* Finds

Yayyy!! Joint FTF with Reezielou! It’s been so long since we have managed a FTF and it was great to see a new one published. Headed down for some exercise on this beautiful morning. Sat down to put the numbers together and after a false start we finally had some good looking numbers. Off to GZ where a quick find was made. Sanitised and signed, and away we went! TFTMC, a great way to start the weekend!

02-May-20
It’s feels like some time since I have been out for a cache. Krcamber put the call out this morning and I happily skipped off to the car.
Quickly found what we needed, took a snap and went and found a place to put the numbers together. Some icy blasts made me thankful I kept the jacket on this morning. Had to go back over and finally we had the numbers we needed, an easy and somewhat stunning stroll to GZ where we quickly had the log in hand for a FTF. Quick pic or 2 of the beautiful scenery and a nice stroll back to the car for some more sanitiser.
