Solved puzzle and found the cache high and dry

23-Aug-24
For some reason I couldnt find the cache here today. Ill have to check my numbers again. Great collection of information required to find GZ.

23-Aug-24
After giving up we caught up with N0w0rries and Lyons Pride3 again. N0w0rries had found it a few months ago. I went over my numbers again, which didnt tally with N0w0rries numbers. I went over mine and noticed that somehow the numbers Id put in for south werent the ones I thought Id put in. I put them in the electronic device again and had a different GZ. After searching N0w0rries location I walked over to my GZ. Of course we found with the help of taller assistants than myself! Im so pleased we were able to leave our marks on the log.

I was in the area today for a Knox U3A bird watching walk and this was one of a number of caches found after the bird watching activities. Calculation of the final coordinates was straightforward but the location of the containers was a little more difficult but all was good in the end. Thanks to WeAllNeedKnickers for the cache.

24-Mar-24
Found it

25-Nov-23
Back again. Following on from the Santa photo shoot at Fountain Gate, with LyonsPride3, It was time for a few different types of caches to be added to the found it list. After working out the final coordinates, +Wife had a fair idea of where I should look for this one.Of course, she was spot on. All in good order here today.

23-Nov-23
I needed to find a multi cache today in order to fill in a missing calendar date for [ahomburg's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=1ded3729-fe62-40bb-9f5f-fd559e7163b1&wid=6dbc178e-cf55-4705-a97f-435a7b7e6997&ds=2) [WCW - 50% Multi Calendar Challenge (GC9Z58Z)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9Z58Z).Well I had so much fun the other day finding caches in the **Dam Good** series, that I thought I should come back and try to find at least one more. So after work I hopped into the geomobile and made my way to the posted coordinatesUnfortunately, my phone's service was horrible when I arrived at the posted coordinates. I had so little service, that I actually had to hop back into the geomobile and drive to the top of the hill in order to download the cache information to an offline map. Once I did that, it was then round two on trying to find this multi.I have to admit I spent way to much time on the wrong side of the sign trying to scan through all the wording to be able to obtain the required information in order to calculate the coordinates for GZ. Eventually I realised that there was a second side and then I was able to obtain all the information I needed. After I calculated the coordinates for GZ, I then saw where it was and got a good little chuckle about the two beacons. I then made the short walk over and started to search. This one turned out to be a much tricker hide then I was expecting. I felt like I looked all over the place, in fact I am pretty sure I even looked in the same hiding spot as the cache, but no luck.So I checked the couple other "nearish" beacon to see If I could see it there.*However, no cache found...* So I had to resort to the hint, which didn't do much as it was roughly what I was expecting. However perseverance paid off today and I eventually was able to spot that evil little hide lol.A big thanks goes to [WeAllNeedKnickers](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=e31b1ef5-5b91-46d9-bf67-8e9b1ecf45f6&wid=665dd4aa-145e-4ccf-846c-d2d9a448fe0a&ds=2) for the challenging little hide. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status**The cache container was in good shape and the attachment mechanism still seemed strong. The logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

Got the info for the second round a few weeks back and when plotted this and #2 had a eureka moment with a cunning smile! Sneaky but clever and so in I went to scoop this up but lots of people around so took some time to find it, again very very cunning but helped me with the other one. TFTC

14-Aug-23
Wow, I adored this puzzle, the difficulty of finding it and figuring out the coordinates are very difficult, TFTC!

13-Aug-23
Another great find.
There are so many caches around here

05-Aug-23
After waiting for the muggles to get their stuff out of their car - we were able to have a good look around for this one! Even being vertically challenged we were able to sign the log with Cazzajane07 TFTC

05-Aug-23
Day out and cache #1 with jaamc_33335..Had to wait for the muggles to park the car before we could sneak in and retrieve the cache; signed and hid away for the next cachers! TFTC

29-Jun-23
Cache 4/22 on the bikes with Cooper from fisherfamfive today. With the completion of the other multi in this group still fresh in our minds, we had a pretty good idea of what we were looking for after collecting our information from the first waypoint. After a quick wait for muggles to pass by the cache was soon spotted and signed. Tftc WeAllNeedKnickers

29-Jun-23
Out today with CammJT for a huge haul of caches in Cardinia Reservoir on a gloomy winters day. This was our fourth for the day, and after grabbing the info we needed, we backtracked our way to GZ. With a pretty good idea on the hide we were looking for, we had to stall for some muggles to pass, before swooping in for the find. Tftc WeAllNeedKnickers

Cheeky and tricky one that took some time to find

07-Jun-23
This was the Perfect cache to do in the rain. Teamwork with a TOTT each had Rebel Acts and I finding the little sucker that has previously eluded me. Very satisfying find.

07-Jun-23
Out and about with Tiz13 for another one of our weekly caching adventures, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles.

Todays chosen destination was Cardinia Reservoir to finish off the Dam series and any other caches in the location.

This is one of the caches found today.

Thanks WeAllNeedKnickers for the cache.

13-May-23
Unfortunately this would be the last cache for the day for GJMMelb and I, we gather the information at WP1 and headed to WP2 where after a bit of a search G' found it (I had found a useful TOTT that was employed on the retrieval if that counts for anything?!? Razz) Cache logged and replaced we headed back to my geomobile to return GJMMelb to their own and we parted ways, but keen to return to tackle more of the caches in this park Smile TFTC

13-May-23
Out for an arvo of caching with quiet1_au, we did a car shuffle placing a car at each end of the dam walk and found all the caches along there. What a lovely day it is today! After that we headed along to here. After finding bush corn dog we decided to do both the multis and JMelb took some photos of the Autumn trees nearby. After a while GMelb found this one. Back to the car to zip off and collect the other car and head off home.

Sneaky and took a bit to find

Had to get a kid on our shoulders. Love it.

09-Apr-23
Ahh I sees what you did there - dam fine indeed. Took a little finding but the hint helped the hint and all was well that ended well. Tftc

23-Mar-23
After getting the previous one, this one was a much easier cache. However, there was a parks security dude hanging about. Grrr, I have to wait until the bludger is finished strolling about. Cache was found quickly, signed and returned without any other issues - I even had a short look for the one that went missing, lol.

Out with echidna44, love this area for walking. We had an enjoyable day collecting multis.
I love a simple multi like this. Thanks WeAllNeedKnickers

02-Feb-23
Out and about with echidna44 for a long time coming caching day. Picked up the clues easy enough and went in for the chase. Had the park all to ourselves except for the man mowing the soon to be grass. Checked the ratings on this and knew that we could managed it and even pulled out the stool and checked a higher rating as we read the logs. Gave it a good search and then moved on. If we have to get a stool we feel it needs to be a higher rating and maybe needs to be checked if item has been pushed in.

Found!

First successful multi, both parents had different GPS calcs but figured it out after a bitta brainstorming TFTC

06-Dec-22
Parked near the first wp and gathered the info. Made my way to gz where I quickly spotted the cache. Used a stick to retrieve, but how to replace? Turns out tippytoes does the trick - just. If you’re shorter than 173, you’re going to need a tott.

Thanks for bringing me here by placing this cache, WeAllNeedKnickers

Cache replaced.

08-Aug-22
I was unable to see where the cache had been poked, and my nano I had to replace it with had lost its magnet. Disabling until I can get back here-maybe a few weeks to a month.

06-Aug-22
I love a good old 'searching a big sign for random bits of info' multi! I also appreciated the cheekiness of GZ on these two multis!

So we calculated GZ, saw the cache, even touched the cache with various tools - but then we stuffed the cache. In our attempts to retrieve it we actually pushed it under a lip where no fingers, sticks or tweezers would reach. We're so sorry!

05-Aug-22
Wwwweeeelllll, uuuummmmm….”Found It” yup we did. “Signed it”, see that’s the thing….

We came at this one with an arsenal of tools: extendable magnetic tool, a camping chair for extra height, stabby sticks in various widths and lengths, and after another very delayed lightbulb moment, some needle-nosed tweezers. But that bugger of a cache was tucked in a very tight hard-to-reach corner and no amount of magnetism, or swiping would make it budge. Finally, when I wedged my finger in to feel its position, it was gone. I think I might have stabbed it into an abyss in my attempts to dislodge it.

I’m so sorry! If I had a replacement I would have fixed it up, but I promise I redeemed myself a couple of caches later.

05-Aug-22
I tried to check on this cache while I was replacing a few caches nearby, but it was pouring rain and so looking up while it's raining and being able to see things is very difficult. I will be back to check again when it's not so miserable.

03-Aug-22
I gave this two attempts I was hoping this was going to be similar to the other multi but couldn't find it _ went back after lunch to try again and searched a few different things but NV.

Found it! Mmm, tricksy!! I had gathered the information needed the multis on my last visit and as I was passing today I thought I would find them. With GZ to myself I set about on my search. I almost gave up but then I spotted it in slightly less likely place. TFTC SL

DNF today

05-Nov-21
Another day out with AndyB84 in this nice big park. A bit of a subdued effort with 7 finds and 4 DNF's, showing how rusty lockdown has made us.

This one was missing last time we visited but Andy made quick work of it today.
Nice to start the day off by turning a sad blue face into a smiley.

Thanks for the cache

14-Oct-21
Now being allowed 15k for exercise we thought we would head up to Cardinia Lake for our walk today as we have quite a few unfound caches there.
This was the next cache we had lined up and had soon collecting the information and worked out GZ and we were off again. This time hoping for a quicker find but that was not to be. We thought the other one was hard but this one beat it. The rain started and we were going to declare it a DNF and headed back to the car. Luckily the rain did not last long and we headed back for another try. 15 minutes latter we found the cache in a place we are sure we looked before, but at least we had it.
Again happily added our name to the log and returned it as it was.
Many thanks once more WeAllNeedKnickers for a nice multi with an evil hide. Smile

Turned a DNF to a smiley on a sunny day catching up with family for a picnic lunch - it’s soggy on foot and no kangaroos about at this time. tftc

05-Aug-21
This one took me longer than it should've! First I got my E for East and E to solve mixed up which ended up with coordinates deceptively close Once the was fixed and the real GZ found, I struggled again until an aha moment. The last hurdle for someone of my small stature was, once the log was signed, how to return it? An acrobatic move worthy of the Olympics later and all was good again!
Thanks for the cache!

Annoying Tarbit and I met up for our first caching day of 2021 and decided that the series at Cardinia Reservior would be attempted. We had an early start and worked through series before the rain arrived, though we did see the storm (including lightening) from the dam wall. By the end of the day the feet were sore from the walking!

We obtained the information we needed and headed towards the calculated coordinates. AT came up with the find here as well. At least this one was in reach! TFTC WeAllNeedKnickers

02-Jan-21
A New Year's caching day out with Lost_and_found_79 out east. We targeted Cardinia Reservoir Park where a whole series of new caches had been placed since either of us had been out here last. A fun day with a lot of walking and chatting but it only reminded me what a great park this is. We had left the car at the car park near here and headed off on a long loop to the north picking up a bunch of caches along the way. Once we realised the link with the other multi nearby all became clear and we had both finds. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the multi cache and the series WeAllNeedKnickers.

01-Jan-21
Phew! That took a while! Found your other one and then wasn't expecting this! That was just mean TFTC, second find of 2021.

01-Jan-21
First find of 2021! I had a feeling it might be here, after doing the other Dam Good Signs one Very Happy but we were saving the other ones in the park to fill my calendar and for souvenirs. Let's hope I have more chance to fill dates than last year!

Thanks WeAllNeedKnickers

Our first cache of the new year. Was kind of hard to see because if the lighting but the torch came in handy. TFTC and happy new year

21-Dec-20
I had the right idea from get go, but couldn't find anything where I thought this would be. I then solved the multi location and discovered I was right, just had the wrong location.

At the GZ, it then took 3 searches of the whole area, as the sun was just positioned in the wrong spot to see it straight away. Found at 9.20 am, and log is now half used

Thanks for the cache We All Need Knickers

06-Dec-20
Found it with my own

03-Dec-20
With limited time this morning, we needed to make quick work of this multi. Information was gathered and we arrived at GZ and started searching madly, resulting in finding a rather large spider, apparently not too happy about being prodded in his little hideout. As we were now desperate, and knowing that it was only 7.15am and our PAF is a senior citizen, most likely still asleep, I phoned him anyway. Crustyvarmint answered the phone in a sleep deprived daze and tried his best to understand my urgency and that we had only have 5 minutes to find this cache before we needed to head for home. The old man took 4 of those minutes to adjust the volume on his phone, but god he stepped up in that last minute.

Thanks WeAllNeedKnickers for a fun morning, and sorry to wake you Crusty. Have a grandpa nap this afternoon:)

14-Nov-20
Out for a day caching with Crustyvarmint.. it was a glorious day at Cardinia Dam .. the sun was shining and lots of families were out enjoying the day. This one was a reasonably quick find with the cache probably out of the view of the uninitiated. Thanks “WeAllNeedKnickers” for placing the series .. I am looking forward to eventually finding all the caches in the series.

08-Nov-20
A nice day with many people out and about. Spiffy had been looking at these caches and now with the restrictions eased we jumped on the electric bikes and made our way around.

Yes yes. Well done CO...

Thanks to WeAllNeedKnickers for the placement and fun.

08-Nov-20
It was a beautiful day today and many others thought so too because there were so many muggles around that caches across the dam wall took quite some time having to wait out all the muggles walking by. Much easier in the bush tracks though so made up some time there. We spent up to 15 minutes looking at each spot and if we couldn't find it we moved on so we actually ended up with 5 DNF's today but at least we then had time to explore the whole park.

After gathering the clues and working out GZ we then realised what was going on and had a very similar process on the second one.

Thanks WeAllNeedKnickers for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

06-Nov-20
After my morning walk around the park, I stopped back at the car for a Grandpa nap. Feeling refreshed, I gathered the information required, and went to GZ for a quick find. Yeah! That was the plan, but once again, I spent way too much time searching, before I found this little fellow tucked away in a spot where it was difficult to see.
In excellent condition, with plenty of room for signing.
Thanks to the COs. I really enjoyed this one.

Restrictions are lifting, Caches are good to go again.

On a multi mission and love a good sign. Not sure why I haven’t been here before! Plenty of people at Cardinia exploring the trails today. So in Melbs for a few days and an orienteering event is on so here I am on a dual mission. It’s turned into a soggy day so a quick in and out between rain drops. Perfect spot to collect info. TFTC

It's nice to do a second multi that is straight forward and completed in quick time. Although, despite knowing exactly what we were looking for and where we were looking for it, it still took us a while to find. Sneaky little thing.
Thanks WeAllNeedKnickers for all the work you've done in this park.

Dragged the family out this morning,
Master 13 - Grumpy as! because he didn't have a monitor strapped to his forehead!
Miss 12 - Happier, but not pleased with having to walk up the hills, luckily her whinging voice it too high pitched for me to hear.
Muggle wife - Content to get some fresh air, still not understanding why we find Geocache after 8 years.
Geodog - Very Happy! Possibly disappointed that her nostrils weren't big enough to take in all the amazing smells.
Me - Just walking and enjoying the simple things in life (Satellites, GPS etc..)
Its been many years since we last visited this reservoir, and seeing this new series be placed, plus the need to find a final from another series I started probably 5 years back and a few others.... things were set for a pleasant adventure for a few hours. Certainly enjoying get out a little after lockdown. Cant help think that we will regret opening the restrictions 10 days ago, but we will see in the coming weeks I guess. This time of year is the best if you want to find some interesting fungi, mushrooms and toadstools, the colours and shapes are amazing and some of the best ones are miniature! You have to just stop and look around. Got into the Reserve early today, and out as the muggles arrive. Probably picked up 10-12 cache, left enough for a couple more visits. Thanks for the adventure WeAllNeedKnickers
Parked near the sign, so quickly gathered the clues before we set off, just in case we past by, and we did!

*Found on the 24 May 2020 @ 9:00 am.*
*Cache find # 10902.*

Today I head back t this area to pick up where I left off from last week, I met up with biggles1024 and we set off find a few caches.
With an earlier start and the weather not so nice, it made for a more pleasant outing as the muggle count was nowhere near where it was last week.

I had worked out the GZ for each of the multi's last week but due to the amount of muggles about, I decided to leave the finds to now, this time there was no such problem and the logs were soon signed.

**Thanks to WeAllNeedKnickers for placing this cache.**

Find #4437
Multi Find #379**

I received a text early this morning from SteMicMitSar asking if I wanted to meet at the Cardinia Dam. I didn't hesitate because its been two months since I did any serious caching and also really wanted to get back out into the bush. We had only one DNF and all the co-ords were good and caches placed in logical places. There were quite a few muggles around despite the cool and overcast morning.

**Thank-you to WeAllNeedKnickers for placing this geocache**

Okay this is really the last one before lunch!
Loved these multis- very clever idea! Thanks for these caches in a good location.

Another cache handy for a tall person like me. Hard to spot this one because of the glare from the sun but we got there in the end. Sneaky hide. Thanks for the cache!
