Ooof! I looked at that seat from about 20 diff angles but never saw a nano. Maybe I wasnt even looking at the right spot, maybe I overlooked it, it feels hard to tell.
Determined the coordinates a week or so ago and came and found it today. Cache in good condition along with logbook. Found by Mr 9.
In town for medical appointments, we decided to grab the clues and find the cache on the way home. Thanks for an interesting cache.
After calculating the final in April, I was back today with micaparamedic for an event and to make 15 multi finds for a UK challenge. Thanks for the multi.
Out in the Ballarat area today with one half of ConnieandRick to attend an event. Connie is on a mission for a challenge she signed in the UK.Thanks Tomstache for placing this Multi-cache, enhancing the game board and adding to our enjoyment.
Out this evening and decided to try for a cache. After not having luck with the first cache we attempted we had much better luck with this one. Thanks for a great little multi and a fresh log sheet.
Id completed the multi some time ago with a little driving tour around town. Id put the corrected coords into my phone and had driven past many times. With the GZ being such a busy location Id wondered if Id ever get the chance to collect this cache.Today with a nearby event, I managed to convince LukeSistema to come along with me to collect the cache. It was less busy than usual this morning and we quickly had the cache and added our initials to the very full log. Thanks for the cache and the multi Tomstache
Found with FeatherWaite on a 4-day trip to Victoria. From Adelaide. Our main aim was to complete the Ballarat Geotour and other caches of interest in the broader Ballarat area. There were also a number of events and a CITO to attend. The weather was on the warm side, but not too bad for this time of year, which made for pleasant camping each night. The cache was found in good order. Thanks Tomstache for the cache.
Found during an extended weekend in the Ballarat area with e.gregory1, with the main aim of completing the Ballarat GeoTour, but taking the opportunity to attend a number of events and CITOs, and searching for a good range of caches while touring around the district. Thanks for the cache Tomstache!
Nanos - so difficult yet so easy at the same time once you see them . TFTC!
Found by Mary and David at 13:05. Turned out to be a perfect caching day. An early start at the Event in Lucas. Managed a few more caches before this one. Love a good multi, A FP for all your research. Our thanks to Tomstache.
TFTC! 28 January 2024 6:32:01pm 7210 thanks to Tomstache for the cache! Completed the multi a long time ago, however for some reason didnt finish! Today we made a quick find!
I came up to Ballarat for the long weekend to make a start on a few of the Ad Labs that are around here, catch up with my caching buddie GemmaSistema for a fun day out and to also attend a couple of the New Year events.Arrived yesterday afternoon in the beautiful sunshine then got up this morning to be greated by morning drizzle, oh well Ballarat lived up to its reputation again.I had this one solved awhile ago but had been muggled out each time I came looking for it.Today being early morning and with the morning drizzle I had the place to myself.A quick search I soon had the cache located. Thanks Tomstache TFTC.
A simple multi here today, learnt a thing or two. A quick find at GZ today This week I decided to head to Victoria for a few days to target finishing off the Ballarat Geotour and also find the new series in St Arnaud, anything else was a bonus. I ended up finding a little over 300 caches plus a tonne of ad labs along the way. Thanks for the cache
I worked out the finals for this multi months ago but never came to try and find it. My checksum calculated correcly, so i headed out to see if i could find it before dinner. Like others, l was initially confused. i sat down to ponder things, and after a few discrete attempts to look, I found it.
Worked out my GZ ok and with the checksums matching, I was off to GZ. Things didn’t like right so a quick check with CO revealed all was good. Back at GZ again and the cache was right there to see. Should have trusted myself…
Thanks for another multi Tomstache…

Solved this a while ago, but today was the day I went to GZ to confirm my calculations. Cache was found and returned.
Thanks for the History lesson and the cache Tomstache

Plenty of laughs and fun were had in Ballarat, catching up with Happy pants and Omegaman1971 for a few days. Our main focus will be the Geo tour, but will take the opportunity to grab any other caches along the way.
This was one of the hides we found after grabbing the info that was needed for a likely set of co-ords.
Thanks for placing this hide and doing the maintenance, so we can make this find.

This turned out to be the final cache I found for the day. It took us to yet another location around Ballarat decorated with sooo many ribbons. They have unfortunately faded to a general brown hue . We were able to add a ribbon we had in the car to the collection. It’s such a sad symbol now, reflecting such a sad story.
The building and gardens were interesting and beautiful. Today it took me ages to find the plaque as the GPS was moving all over the place. In the end I just searched the fence in both directions from the gate. Late Sunday afternoon meant there were very few Muggles on foot in the vicinity so we could search fairly easily and the cache was found with some determined looking and feeling.

In town for the weekend. Clues gathered at WP1 okay by WP2 confused us. The checksums got us there though.
The cache was all good at GZ.
Thanks to Tomstache for the fun and the adventure.

Whittlesea Mega Wobble and Wade Tour: Day 3: More Ballarat Geotour then off to Geelong.
Once again myself and Anymules were in Victoria on our way to a Mega event. Having spent all day yesterday juggling GPS and phone to try and do caches and labs simultaneously we fell well short of finishing the tour. So it was well into the afternoon before we left for Geelong. Once in Geelong it was a time to walk to get some caching down there too. Many caches were found and unless something stood out these will be generic logs.
Having found this CO's caches before this didn't take too long.
***Thanks Tomstache for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

After the fun of the Blue Switch Day Celebration Event we were able to set about converting some of the unfound caches around town to smiley tokens on our map. We really enjoyed learning more about the history of education in Ballarat as we have family members & friends who were students here.
Sattelites today had our Posted coordinates some 18m SSE of where the plaque is located.
Thanks Tomstache for creating another neat cache hide.

Grub62 and I were in the area going to an event and were a bit early so we had time enough for a cache or 2. After checking in on way points 1 and 2 we headed off to GZ and after a short search the cache was in hand. The logbook was totally full so Grub62 replaced it with a new one but due to a short fall in space the old one is with her. She is getting into contact with you about what you want us to do with it.TFTC.
Bunadoorian and I were up early and arrived in Ballarat for a Breakfast Event. We decided to try and find this cache. With the information collected we calculated the GZ. Off we went for the short drive. I soon had the cache in hand. I replaced the full log with a new log book. TFTC and for bringing us here and the area of the waypoints - Tomstache.
Been wanting to find this one for a while, always to busy when I'm nearby, my grandsons sneekerly found it for me today TFTC

Headed back to B town for the 2nd week in a row with beckNmonts. Main objective was to complete the Ballarat Geotour. This was my 5th visit to this beaut town since the tour was launched.
After finishing off the geotour, we drove around finding some more select caches before it was time to head home.
Thanks to the Ballarat Geotour for the caches

Some good friends had decided to head to Ballarat for a few weeks so I decided I needed a break and joined them, we had a great time out caching as well as sharing stories and laughs around a meal or two. I really love the area of Ballarat there is so much history and I am sure it has the largest population of Oak trees in the Country.
This is one of the caches found today. A nice bit of history.
Some caches logged as RASP rebel acts &Ski pair.

With work encouraging us to take some holidays and Mr SKI having quite a few weeks up his sleeve it was time to take another short break and do some sightseeing and caching in parts of Victoria we seldom visit.
This time we decided it would be Ballarat. There is a wide variety of cache types and quite a number of Adventure Labs to do, so the area is quite attractive. And that doesn't include the historical and interest aspects as well.
We organized to meet up with some friends while there so we would have the opportunity to do some joint as well as solo caching.
We have already had some great adventures on a few challenging caches that generated a lot of fun and as usual always good to find some pre-solved puzzles.
All logs signed as SKI Pair, RASP (Rebel Acts & SKI Pair or SP depending on size of logs and availability of space.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Tomstache.

TFTC found with Algae, after a hot day working in the city. Algae worked this one out quickly and found the cache soo after arriving at our destination.

We took our chances on a quiet corner just on dusk and with very few people around Dippa46 managed to locate the cache in fairly short order while WeRAmused and I played "handies" feeling for the container while trying not to look too obvious. Created quite a lot of mirth. TFTC and the adventure.
Went out again with MazzyMay for another try at this one. After a bit of a look around I spotted it, great cache. TFTC
The information for this Multi was found on our way, caching in Ballarat today. We figured out where GZ was, kept walking in the opposite direction for hours and eventually walked past GZ on our way to picking up the car, whichwe had checked in for a health service in the morning.
GZ made complete sense, and we were very relieved when we finally found what we were after. We had nearly given up in light of the kilometers we had walked in the rain today, and the kilometers that still lay ahead of us to get to the car clinic, but there it was, revealing itself to vulture eyes!
Thanks for the tour, Tomstache. We have enjoyed your caches today.

I love multis and this one was no exception - very interesting information and thankfully didn't take us long to find the "prize" Many thanks
Yes I did peek through the fence! Thank you for this straight forward, but interesting, multi.
After a very early start to meet up with Bushfire, followed by a slow trip to Ballarat with the main purpose today to attend 2 events and a CITO Following the first 2 events we headed out to find a few caches As there were quite a few in the New Cemetery this was our next area to explore, but before searching we stopped at the gatehouse for refreshments. Thus fortified, we continued our caching Found several caches in the cemetery before time ran out. Headed to the final event today the stopped for this one as we headed back to Geelong TFTC Tomstache

*Cache find # 11689.*
The day was coming to an end and soon it was time to head for home but there was a little bit of time left to find a few more caches.
Multi's never go astray so as I was close to this one I decided to give it a go, I worked out GZ and thought, bugger I just came from over that way, but I have started now so I have to finish it and I did.

Find #2486 for me. Found at 10:09 am while taking some rec. leave to visit Ballarat. I've had the final coordinates for a long time now but my visits to Ballarat are far less frequent and the number of new caches in Ballarat continues to grow making it almost impossible to keep up... But today I wanted a multi and chose to finally finish this one off to start the day. As I expected, GZ was alive with muggle traffic, but the cache could only really be in one place so it was a quick find, sign and retrieve. Thanks the history and the cache Tomstache!
I completed the first part of this multi a very long time ago when at work. Fast forward about a year and I finally decided to stop and grab the final. I’m pleased I stopped at night. It was still busy but in daylight I’d be very suss! Thanks for the cache.
Tonight was a perfect night to get this sneaky little hide, not a lot of traffic at the right time. Cigc. Tftc
On date night we decided to swing by here to see if we could find the cache. Previously we felt exposed and uncomfortable trying to find it. Tonight wasn’t as bad. We formed our plan whilst in the car and it worked seamlessly. Tftc
We worked out the coords a while ago but got muggled out so we decided to try again tonight. Great to turn this one into a smiley face. Tftc
*Staying in Creswick for a few days*
Today I decided to head out and clear up some of the local series and a few scattered caches thrown in (as I passed them) for good measure... A beautiful time of year with all the trees in colour and everything lush and green... A lovely day to be out and about having most of the area to myself
A bit of a stroll, a bit of a search, made the find, stamped log and replaced again.
My sincerest thanks to Tomstache for the multi. Appreciate your efforts.

Catching up on some logs that are way overdue.
Today was always going to be a massive day with 2 big goals for the day. First was 12 cache types in a day and second complete the full Ballarat GeoTour. A super early start was necessary but that isn't anything unusual for our big days out but it has been quite a while since we have done anything so early with all the COVID issues lately.
With both our goals meet we had some time to grab some extra caches before heading home.
We worked out the numbers last time we were in Ballarat but ran out of time to get to GZ to make the find. Today we were nearby so it was put on the list and we were able to get our names in the log book.
Thank you Tomstache for the Multi and sorry for the extremely late log

What an epic day in and around Ballarat, where I was able to complete the Ballarat GeoTour. Find 12 types in one day including my first Locationless and a community event all in a12 hour day with SimsFamily and Neville Devil.
We’d worked out the coords the last time we were in town. So today as we were passing by we stopped to have a look. Felt a little exposed searching for the hide.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the multi cache Tomastache

Out and about for a walk today with this multi in our sights. Wow, we certainly got our exercise. Thanks Tomstache, I liked the history.
We stayed in Ballarat for the last night of our trip. We hoped to pick up a few multi's for a challenge we are working toward and also any others that we came across.
What a fantastic building here, the architects and builders really took pride in their work and it still shows today. Much better than what they call style today in our opinion.
We enjoyed gathering the clues for this one and soon had a set of coordinates. (We love Check Sums) We headed to GZ where we had to wait for a muggle to move off before we could start our search and were very happy when we found it in the first place we looked.
We added our name added to the log and returned as it was.
.
Many thanks Tomstache for the informative cache page and the hide.

I had forgotten how horrible the main road to Ballarat can be as I thought all the road works would be finished but no they have signs for kilometers where you can only do 60km per hour.
Now they are not only going ahead with wire down the centre but are also digging up one side of the road.
I guess it is providing some money to those working on this project.
With the CITO done and dusted it was time to find a few off these guys that have popped up over many months.
Gathered the info and after doing the maths arrived here, parked and wandered along to find the cache and then realised that I had forgotten my mask so grabbed the container and a quick dash back to the White Beast to don the mask , sign the little log and then back to replace the container where I had found it.
Thanks again Tomstache for an interesting set of notes.

Go the lead up info easily enogh once I figured out where the plaque was. A bit further to the final for a multi than I generally like so I made sure of my figures. At gz I had to wait out the slowest dog walker on earth but them made an easy find with good coords. My thanks to Tomstache.

Today was another trip to Ballarat for appointments and with a little spare time up our sleeves and confirmation from the owner that our calculated co-ords were correct we headed back. We did the stealt mode at GZ and this time hubby managed to find the cache.

CIGC TNLN TFTC #3671. Managed the maths easier enough but had a problem founding the plague and then manufacturers name. Too cold and impatience was the issue. Nice find at GZ. Thx Tomstache
We collected the information this afternoon , misread the surname by adding the first name letter to the start DOH! Used the checksum to fill in the number and went for a wee drive to collect the cache. It wasn't until afterwards when we expanded the photo somewhat we realised how we made the mistake.
Cheers Tomstache for showing us this impressive building.

Suscoe was enjoying a pleasant but cool Sunday morning in Ballarat in the company of the Sister.
We had gathered the required data and it seemed that our co-ordinates and the check sum matched so off we went.
It was a quick find and GZ for us, just popped the hand on the right thing at the right spot.
We always appreciate that happening.
Thanks to Tomstache for another good cache in Ballarat showing us some interesting locations.

Out caching today with Nettie1234, who seemed to be suffering with wool blindness!!!! After a second visit here we sorted the numbers and got the OK from the checker. Off to GZ and being very careful of muggles , we found the cache, signed and replaced. Thanks Tomstache for placing.
We visited the first waypoint a couple of weeks ago to get the info we needed, but waited until today to find the right time to find the cache. Not that there a right time to find this cache, but with a little care with timing and a tying of the shoelace, the cache was soon in hand. TFTC Tomstache.
TFTC. A nice simple multi to get the a mind working. We were in Ballarat to pick up some refreshments and took the opportunity to do a couple of caches. The other reason we targeted this one was that it waS hidden in April and would fill that month on the Ausmer/Jasmer grid. Given the travel restrictions we thought April would be in short supply. A nice easy find at the final location.
Joint *FTF* with Feathertop
We had a beautiful day to get out of the house and walk around after Covid -19 lock down.
At each waypoint we completed the necessary collection of numbers, did careful reading and the tricky calculations before heading off to find GZ. The cache was soon located by feathertop. I had punched in the wrong numbers and the GPS was pointing further down the road. I'm out of practice I think OR fatter fingers.
This was a very interesting set of waypoints that highlighted the old buildings and history in Ballarat. Accurate co-ordinates always help and you sure did that Tomstache.
TFTC and the chance to get a Blue Switch souvenier
We had a beautiful day to get out of the house and walk around after Covid -19 lock down.

Joint {ftf} with 6Hinemoa2 mid mornign on this sunny Friday.
We were not aware that these new caches were unfound so we both went for a paddle out on the lake first.
Later on we came to this multi and excitedly noting no finds set about an old fashioned multi with counting etc.
Notepad helped and once a good set of co-ords were arrived at we set off in my car to the final.
You know you a a FTF on a nano before you unroll the log. Such was the case here.
Another good history lesson.
Thanks Tomstache
