Regarding this puzzle, I thought it would be a simple research puzzle learning about scouts and their history, and I took a moment to understand more of this group. I never did scouts but Air Force Cadets, and I've always said that geocaching is just scouts for adults, so perhaps it was a lost calling of mine. There were a few questions that I was unsure of, but despite trying a few answers, the checker didn't respond positively, so I reached out to the CO for help, and soon had my answers clarified on 12/07/2022.I joined [wayn0](https://coord.info/PR8DMMF) following the nearby event, and he had wanted to grab the Q500 geocache nearby [Cash Prize](https://coord.info/GCQXX2). This cache wasn't too far, so I suggested that we walk past this one too. We had a fairly length search between a couple of large trees, and we gave one particular tree that we matched to a previous photo a time-consuming look, but alas no cache found. We did see a pretty cool small tree snake that slithered upwards, so not all was lost. It's been five months since the last find, so I'm not sure if it may have been muggled, so for the interim, I'll watch this cache and see how it goes. Thanks anyway White_Wanderers for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------This morning, [arewethere?](https://coord.info/PR2J301) and I made last-minute plans to kayak Bulwer Island and complete the [Wreck-cellent: Bulwer Island Ships Graveyard](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/WreckcellentBulwerIs) Adventure Lab before it got too hot and unbearable. In the afternoon, I attended [perpulady's 20th Anniversary Eat and Greet QLD](https://coord.info/GCAH924) lunch event in Albany Creek, and it was nice to see such a large crowd support the international visit. Subsequently, there were a few geocaches in the vicinity that were visited, which included a couple of nice walks, but the heat zapped my remaining energy, so I returned home to retire with a pool swim.

Caching with geoson, and as he had solved this a while ago, had to travel with him, just to make sure he did nothing to exert himself, he did not take my advice just got to GZ grabbed the cache and signed the log, Thanks, White Wanderers, all is good here today, sorry for late log have been forgetting some lately, son reminded me at dinner last night

The geo daughter attends University and I get to drive her there today.
Of course I volunteered for the job, knowing that this cache is only 7km from the Uni at Petrie.
I solved it ages ago, and just have not got around to collecting it.
Parked at the easiest spot and walked in to GZ. Got to GZ and realised that a climb was involved. Not too much but was not expecting it.
Oh well, nothing to be done but to climb. Looked about from the ground to see if I could see the cache before I started. There are a couple of trees at GZ so wanted to make sure I was only climbing one of them. That worked well for me, and soon climbing up to get it. Watch out there are some ants in the tree…
Pulled out and signed, and then placed back carefully. Cache is in good condition and now has a squiggle from me in it! Thanks for placing the cache.

Today's mission was a nice big loop through north Brisbane collecting multi's for a challenge I am working on. Along the way, I took the opportunity to grab some other unloved caches and solved puzzles, including this one.

A little bit of Dr Google quickly sorted the puzzle. I waited for a break in the dog walking muggles before venturing into the bushes to quickly nab the cache. Almost didn't need to climb the tree here. All in good order.

Time for one more cache, and this solved puzzle fitted into my day nicely…

Geepers indicated GZ really clearly and I could even see the cache from the ground…

GC8QJXN Good Hunting Akela

Out for a quick bit of caching before work, trying to earn this months 100 find souvenir.
I have had this solved for a long time so it was time to go out and find it.
Arriving at GZ it didn’t take much to spot the cache.
A quick bit of tree climbing and the log was signed.

Used to be in this hobby but in the other side in my younger years. Worked out the numbers and came for a look today. Retrieved the cache. Signed the log and returned it to where I found it. Thanks White_Wanderers. All good with this puzzle and cache.

On the dark side for an event this morning. Headed up early for a pedal around to try and find some extra smiles.

This was solved yesterday in preparation. Only one answer took a bit of searching. Nice quick find at GZ. Big Grin

I have had this puzzle solved for so long and really enjoyed it. Today i decided to turn it into a smiley . I parked not far away and enjoyed the short walk. The serenity here is lovely. Once at GZ i spotted the cache on approach and followed what the hint said with a small climb and reach. Thanks for the fun puzzle and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy

I do like a mystery cache that is achievable by us mere mortals! A favourite point from me.

This was a puzzle right up my alley being a cub/scout/venturer in a passed life. I remember getting to attend a jamboree and a world jamboree and had a collection of scarves and woggles once. I couldn’t believe it when people were keen to swap their amazing scarves for the boring as batsh*t green ones we had at the time.

In scouts I had an armful of badges that my mum would diligently sew on each week. I also clearly remember the one badge I failed although I can’t remember what it was for. I turned up at the volunteers house with a collection of stamps that I knew a bit about because my father and I were into it at the time.

It should have been a lay down misère but the dude signing off had other ideas. He told me that stamps shouldn’t be kept in the album I was showing him and proceeded to remove all of them. This really pissed my old man off because he was either a philatelist, psychologist, fellatio artist or whatever you call someone that collects stamps. Thank goodness it was my mum that drove me to the appointment or it could have been the start of a stamp war. tftc

I’ve had this one sitting in the solved pile for sometime, but never had the opportunity to grab it, however that’s changed today.

Alycem89 and I were in the area so while passing through we stopped by to grab this cache. We had no issue spotting this one as we got closer to GZ and after a quick climb the cache was in hand.

Thanks for bringing us here.

Solve this one couple of weeks ago had various coordinate as Facebook said 1 number Google set another websites in another but now that they on. Read it had some tree climbing decided getting it after work was not a good idea in a dress and heels came out today with the dog. A short climb and a reach is never a short climb and a reach when you are sort yourself.

Funny story: I got all the info required to find this cache and made my way to GZ. GPS took me directly to a great climbing tree, so I climbed the tree, and searched as per the hint.

After about 30min sitting about 2m off the ground looking for the cache, I contacted the CO, who gave me the wise advice that sometimes Facebook is better that Google for information!! Who knew .

So here I am, back to the REAL GZ. Cache was quickly to hand.

Thanks White_Wanderers for your hint, and TFTC

Time for us to take our caching up a gear, we've been a little slack of late.
Finished with our Dayboro target list for today we began our journey back to base but there were still caches to be found along the way! Big Grin

Easily solved without the need for Google as a friend is a long-time Scout leader. Big Grin
A pleasant stroll to GZ despite the heat.
Up & away, reach out & grab ... success. Smile
A nice quick find where all is good.
Be warned there are some nasty thorns on the way in, luckily I had my safety thongs on. Surprised
If you could just hear the channel-billed cuckoos in the trees here ... they are going nutters!
Made our mark & replaced as found.
From the safety & comfort of the nearby shady trees a couple of good-sized water dragons watched my return. [:)}

Had this one waiting for the right day and after many, many days, it seemed right enough. Parked across the bridge and legged it back to this walking trial. Had to watch a few curious butcherbirds and noisy minors but they'd had enough humans to eat by this time of the day, so was safe.

At GZ, the pumped odor kept any idea of an early lunch at bay. The natural barb wire was everywhere so pussy footed around til the cache was reached. Fashioned a natural fishing rod to collect the cache so didn't need to elevate myself any higher than my own sense of worth. Thanks White_Wanderers for setting a puzzle on one of my childhood pursuits.

Find #733

We were looking for caches close to home to find today and this one got our attention. After some googling, we got the coordinates Smile.

As we neared GZ, we saw the likely spot and had to retrace our steps as we saw an easier way to access it. Cache was a quick find at GZ. Coordinates were spot on! We signed the log and returned as found. All good with the cache Smile.

TFTC White_Wanderers. We've enjoyed this puzzle cache and find Smile.

1MinnieMoo pulled up for this one in the dying light and made our way to GZ.

It took a bit of time to spot in the darkness - before 1MinnieMoo found the prize safe and sound. We signed the log and returned the cache to its home.

A great little puzzle - and a good hide in a nice area. TFTC White_Wanderers Smile

10/1/21 Find #4511
I have no idea why I haven’t looked at this puzzle before. It’s close proximity to home, and, apart from one question which I couldn’t secure an answer overly easily on, was easy to solve. The challenging question was solved with a “look at those numbers on a map then put most likely in the checker” method, which had my answer instantly.
A short trip for Fangsoki and I to GZ as bats flew overhead - which, knowing my displeasure in these creatures, Fangsoki took great delight in tormenting me about.
Once at GZ it was a case of searching in the faded light, with only phones as torches. Oops. While Fangsoki scouted one area, I was hooked on searching another one, and once I decided to step up a little to begin climbing for a different viewpoint, I immediately saw it, and was quite pleased I wouldn’t have to do a larger climb tonight.
Log signed it was time to leave the bats and head for home.
Thanks for the cache White_Wanderers.

Find #2335 at 17:57. Again I find myself horribly "back-logged".....

Some of the answers I knew from long ago, others I did have to research. But it wasn't too hard in the end.

Enjoyed the nice easy tree climb at GZ for a quick find.

Thanks for the cache, White_Wanderers.

(PS: Logging this *months* late, coincidentally I'll be out at JOTA this time next week teaching some Scouts a slightly different hidden-object-hunting game!)

Solved on the weekend and listed it down to find today. The lizard and I popped along after school and made the short walk. It took a while for us to spot it and I totally blame the angle because once I changed my standing ground it was an easy spot. I sent the little lizard up the tree and he made the stretch for retrieval and return. Thanks for today’s fun.

Managed to solve the puzzle without too much hassle and learnt a few things about scouts.

Today I was in need of a cache, anything other than a traditional, so decided to come hunt this one down. On the way to GZ I saw some cute tiny water dragons. Nawww!
Reaching where I needed to be it didn’t take long to spot the container. Off with my geocaching safety boots and up I went. My scribble was left and all replaced as found.

Thanks for the puzzle and smiley White_Wanderers Big Grin

I found myself quite intrigued getting the answers for this puzzle. I struggled on a couple of the answers but it was fun finding them!
With it being such a beautiful day outside I decided to grab a cache and I spotted this one already solved so made my way towards it.
At GZ I spotted it quickly and avoided the sneaky spider web I saw at the last minute.
I normally don’t do these retrievals by myself, but as it was a little one and the tree looked ample and fun I wanted to give it a shot. Quick grab and sign (along with a pic of this rare event to show the hubby).

I saw this one had been recently published and knew I would be in the area shortly to make a couple of other finds. I worked through the puzzle and learned some new information along the way. I recall in my younger years being a Brownie Guide then a Girl Guide, being an outdoorsy type of person it really appealed to me.

I had met up with Chamad to claim some finds on a couple of nearby puzzles, we stopped by to find this one as well. The cache quickly spotted, Chamad had it in hand soon after. Log signed and cache replaced as found, all is well with the cache.

Thanks White_Wanderers for the puzzle and the cache.

While I was out to continue a couple of challenges which I’m working on; a traditional a day and a cache a day, I did have some target caches in mind. I had previously received a social call from Willis007 where we chatted about what we had been working on. We then came up with a plan, I had the solution to one of the Wally’s, she the other, Oh that’s great as Wally has been driving me nuts. So a plan was hatched to meet at one of the Wally’s and then drive to the other.
This was the second cache of the day for me and it was a short walk from Wally. An easy find and with a local implement to grab this one we soon had the cache in hand. . Cache was in good condition and log was dry; with the log signed and cache replaced as found and both of us happy with the find it was off to find a new one in the area. Thanks for placing this one here

The eldest of the ittybitties is in Joey Scouts and was intrigued by this puzzle. I left him to google the answers. He soon had most answers, but needed some help with one. With all the information gathered and a green tick on the checker, it was set aside to find on the weekend.
After lunch today, the ittybitties and I set off. I parked the geomobile and we to took a nice stroll to GZ. There, the cache was spotted quickly by the Joey. It was a bit hard for him to reach, so I made the grab and signed the log. A very happy Joey to have solved the puzzle and spotted the cache first Smile Now we are off to become Little Detectives. Was kind of in the area this morning, so decided to make the quick stop and little wander around to check this one out. I'd solved the puzzle a week or so ago with no issues. A lovely little spot to visit albeit a tad chilly as the sun was yet to rise still.
Thanks White_Wanderers for entertaining me at this location.

I had a few spare hours today so took a meander through 3 ALs, and collected this solved puzzle as well. All of my family had connections with Scouting and Guiding, so most of the answers were already in my head, with just the two local ones needing a bit of research.

A pleasant walk to GZ, and I checked out the wrong tree at first, but soon spied the container in a more accessible spot Razz TFTC, White_Wanderers.

Didn't take long to nut out the puzzle, knew 1 or 2 of the answers from back in my cubscout days. Parked at a familiar spot, having found a few caches that used to reside here previously. At GZ it was a short stretch to make the easy grab.

I was eating a lazy dinner when the notification came through, and I figured I'd give it a go. Turns out, this was a nice easy puzzle to solve, and only a few kilometers away from home. I had trouble with one number, but jetskied it :p. Excited that the checker finally agreed with me, I jumped in the geomobile and sped towards GZ. I was anxious the whole way, unsure if I would get there fast enough!

Thankfully I had a good torch, because the moonlight wasn't much help tonight. At GZ, it was a relatively easy find, and I opened the cache to see... a blank log book. Wahoo!!! *FTF* at 6.12 pm

I balanced precariously up the tree while I signed the log, returned the cache, and jumped back down to safety. I swear I saw torches blazing as I left GZ, and I was hoping it was another cacher and not some random stranger :p.

TFTC and some TB visits Smile

A close second! We were eating dinner when this notification came through, so once that was done, I settled down to solve the puzzle. Most of the answers were quick to find, though one took a few websites. We arrived at the path to GZ and saw the first to find note pop up - we were 2 minutes late! Should’ve skipped dinner... Not to worry, let’s go see if we can find it anyway. Not much water in the creek, and a startled moggy up the hill a bit, but no people around. We soon saw the cache in the torchlight and Avar made the grab while I signed. TFTC, White_Wanderers. =^.^=
