I checked on the cache and it was indeed needing replacement. Replaced now with a new albeit smaller container. Will leave the original size for cachers stats. All good to go again. Cache on.
2nd one today. Needs maintenance. Wet log book. Lid broken new container cover required. TFTC.
Great cache, cache lid A little broken but because of plastic bag log shouldn't get wet. Been putting this one off for a while but decided that I needed a little walk and this was closest cache. Quite an beastly find but worth it!
A discovery made by EthisEthat a few days ago prompted a return visit to this lovely reserve as I secured today's streak find alongside some other information of interest in the area. The weather was looking a bit dreary but I was able to get out before the peak hour traffic kicked in and I was soon wandering the trails in the direction of gz.The compass guided me for the last stretch where I spotted one landmark that turned out to have the cache within it.While the logbook was protected enough to sign, and the trackable was discovered, the crack in the lid is letting in water - including the rain that ended up rolling in on my way back to the car.Additionally, while I was drawn to the Large size of the cache, the container is only ~3L which is well shy of the 20L minimum required for that classification - hopefully the replacement can better reflect it.Thanks to Flintstone's for placing this one here!
The container at gz is currently cracked which is letting in water, and it could certainly do with a replacement before the winter weather kicks in.
I'd never been to The Pinnacles before, so I was pleased that these geocaches gave me an excuse to walk around here after work. I just picked up five caches around sunset and moonrise before heading home to have dinner, crochet and binge-watch House. This good-sized cache was upside down in its hidey-hole. I noticed that there were a few cracks in the lid, so this might have to prevent any weather affecting it.Thanks for the cache, Flintstone's!
Here in Canberra for the Mega and we found your cache while exploring the area.We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty.Enjoyed caching in this area, cache and contents were in good condition. Many thanks to all CO's for your cache placement.
This was a lovely walk for us on quite a hot day. At least this part of Canberra, and this nature reserve is undulating rather than outright hilly. That worked well on this hot day. We found this one towards the end of our walk as we were making our way back towards the road, and then further down to the car. We enjoyed walking up and over the pinnacle. Logbook was totally dry, although the container had a small amount of water, which we emptied out and dried. Thanks Flintstones Domsky
Been eyeing this large off for a while. Have driven past a few times, however today was the day to stop and make the grab. Bit wet underfoot but no real issues and I was soon at GZ. Log signed, cache returned and I was on my way.
Thanks Flintstones, cache all good.
Thanks Flintstones, cache all good.
I was on the hunt for a few large sized caches and this one was on the list. As I sloshed my way to the wet GZ I realised that I dropped my pen since my last find. Photo proof sent to CO. TFTH
Found with ElephantElla42 while caching after days of rain, the ground was like a swamp and it was so late and cold that the ground was partly frozen. Thanks for the cache
I needed a big rest from uni work towards the end of semester so I took a self-care day and found heaps of geocaches! Grass was quite soggy from this morning's rain and reasonably deep but I guess that's why I get bushland caches in winter! Quick find at GZ, very nicely sized! Unfortunately was a bit of water inside but log was fine! Took TB. TFTC Flintstone's!
When we got in the vicinity of ground zero, for a moment we were looking at a possum house thinking that was the hide and wondering how to get ourselves up there. Upon reading the hint we realised how far off we were.
We checked one red herring before locating the true location.
Thanks for the great, large cache and the adventure. For future visitors, you can avoid the long grass by sticking to the (many) roo trails (as with any bush cache). TFTC TNLN

After a couple of caches today so hoped the rain would stay away. That was not to be so after stomping through wet long grass I was soon soaked. But cache easily found and all good.
Thanks For getting me out and about Flintstone's

Strangely after deciding to call it a day on the nearby better late than never, I found myself halfway to knee deep in grasses wondering what on earth I was doing looking for this one, the last 120 m of grass and I wondered about the wisdom. Decided to press on content with winning the Darwin award if I did get bitten and fall prey! However the hint tell me what I was looking for IWas able to spy it from afar
Found all these caches on a long walk around the reserve. Unfortunately I forgot when I found them so I am logging now. I believe it was sometime last month but not 100% sure. Thanks to everybody hiding caches!
VERY VERY MUDDY HERE! ewwwww... Still got the cache. Thanks for a large TFTC! Flintstone's!

Easy find, cache fairly empty for a large container, so we left a few things behind
So so slushy in here. Such a big cache with hardly any swaps in there, wish I had more on me to place in. Thank you for the cache.
Needed the gumboots today. Wet socks oh well all part of the fun. Nice large cache. Nice one. TFTC
#11772 - 12:03:00 PM; Needed a few caches for my daily caching challenge and decided a mission around the Pinnacles was in order as there have been some new caches appear since my last visit, including a multi, which was on the 'to do' list for today's date. Second last stop for the day and a nice quick find and sign on a good sized cache. TFTC Flintstone's
I got out early thisorning to pick up some caches on the Pinnacle. My main goal was the new GCA caches but happy to pick up others along the way. Lovely big container - all in good condition.
Thanks for hiding this cache Flintstone's

There aren’t too many large caches left for me to find in my home town of Adelaide, so I make a point of trying to collect some when I’m travelling. Here’s an easy one; thanks for placing this Flintstone’s.
We had not intended to visit the ACT on this trip but the COVID out break changed where we could cache. Today we were walking in the reserve finding a series of GCA caches when we noticed this cache was close by. A slight deviation from our planned route and we had the cache in hand. Container and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for this cache Flintstones. We always enjoy finding well hidden large containers.

A lovely relaxing 2.48km walk over an hour early afternoon to pickup a handful of caches . TFTC Flintstone’s.
A nice short stroll from the trail to GZ for a quick find. All in good condition and log signed. TFTC Flintstone's
Found 11:44 8/5/21 while out walking with the geodog. Thank you Flintstone's for the cache and bringing me to this location.
Dropped by the elusive size.
But enjoyed the walk in the bush. Great hiding location.
Thanks for the fun.

My first two attempts today were at a couple of nearby neighbourhood ovals.
I made the mistake of assuming that the inclement weather would keep the muggles away. Clearly I was wrong and there were other Canberran’s as silly as I was.
Looked around on the map and headed over to the Pinnacle Reserve where even still there were walkers out enjoying the light rain.
At least this one was a little further from general traffic and I was able to make a quick find, sign and replacement.

Very tall grass in the GZ which makes it prone to snakes. Will come back later this year when the grass has died off a bit.
What better way to spend a quiet Christmas morning before eating too much at lunch, than going out caching. I picked up Smittengranny and we wne t looking for caches. Having done three bridges, it was nice to go for a short walk in the reserve. We avoided the long grass most of the way, but the last 80m there was no choice. The correct target was blocked from view until we were right there. All good at GZ.
Thanks for the cache Flintstone's

After a call to the CO and the FTF I found the cache in chin height grass.signed dsd
I was on a lap of the reserve and stopped off to find this one. The long grass was wet, so I trampled it to flatten it. At first I went to the wrong location, before realising the one I wanted was a spot I hadn't seen behind the grass on my way through. It was then an easy find and I continued on my run. TFTC.
The GeoHound and I thought this would be a nice day to do a circuit of some of the caches around The Pinnacle. The grass is very long off-trail - glad I had my boots and reptile-dissuading gaiters on. This cache was found in good condition without issue after a loud traipse through the grass as we encouraged any slithering reptiles to move out of the way! Thanks, Flintstones.
Needing a couple of caches today, and since Fitzy had misplaced a TB somewhere yesterday, we decided that this was an ideal area to grab a few caches for me and see if we could find the missing TB. This was a nice easy find with lots of dew in the grass - luckily I wore my hiking boots and not my work shoes ! No TB here though...
21,650. Found during a meander around Canberra today.
This was the next stop on my list, and what a great area it is to walk around. I have several caches in here myself. This was a short walk in for a nice quick find. Signed, returned, then headed off to try the new Multi nearby.

After some shopping, went on the little walk to grab this one. Grass not too long yet, so easy going. A quick find at GZ. Don't think I've seen that style of container before. Headed off up the hill afterwards for the view of the new suburb.
Thanks,
Thanks,
I needed to get out and away from the computer this evening so decided to grab some caches on the Pinnacle. This was the first and was a quick easy find, sign and replace. TFTC Flintstone's.
Found with F.E. Iron.
We took the dog to explore this part of the Pinnacle reserve. When we arrived the car parks were chokers as there was an orienteering event on. I was slightly worried that we may have an audience trying to find the caches, but even though one of the caches we found had GZ marked with an orienteering marker, we only saw one runner.

I did a quickish trip around the Pinnacle reserve grabbing puzzles solved since my last trip as well as new trads around... I was amazed at how wet the reserve was, even high on slopes.
Then onto the buddhist temple... I can't imagine that permission was granted for this one.... very dodgy!
Anyway, all hides found reasonably quickly

TFTC Out and about doing some urban caching with Marmaduke Rothschild today. A very breezy start to the day. Monkey trackable left!
Introducing the muggle friend to caching....who now has an account and has started signing some logbooks! This was a nice easier one to start! TFTC!
On lovely family walk with all of the GLISS! members, including the Geodog. We had a lovely time and spotted this cache in the obvious place. TFTC.
Quite windy today, and the GPS was jumping all over the place, but eventually we got to the right spot! The log was damp, but we were still able to sign it.

The damp weather today was not going to turn me off coming here. As I got out of my car I searched for a trinket to leave in this regular sized cache. Then the image of the bag of trinkets sitting on my table at home came to me. Sigh, no trinket to leave. Anyway it was a short, pleasant, if damp underfoot walk to the cache. I found the cache and log in good condition. TFTC Flintstone's.
