Reperio 18:29Up early this morning for a full day of caching around the Yass and Goulburn area, and the rain that was predicted the day before well and truly arrived. In and out of the car in short bursts carried on throughout most of the day until later in the evening when things settled down. Most of the caches were found in good order today. This was a fantastic hide. One of the better ones found on my trip this weekend.Gratias The Farmers 5As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
WesternSydWanderer and I were searching and it was after I touched the rodent catcher that he zoned in on the GC. TFTC
This is a very nicely done cache hide that fits well in its surroundings. a FAVpoint for the hide construction. TodayAs family breakfast took place earlier today the opportunity to make it to the Lake Gorge event was suddenly an option. Especially as I had thought of cleanign out collector when I recently looked on the map, there was plenty to do between home and Collector. In fact I ended up caching all the way to the 6pm event and still had plenty left to do. After the city I went to the wineries for some new and older caches and ALs, then a Collector cleanout, followed by lake gorge lookout and then following the old highway for a while, before it was time to cut it short and drive via a quick charge at Majura Maccas to the evening event. Thank you The Farmers 5 for putting the cache out, maintaining it and contributing to this great hobby we have. Happy trails, Flintstone's
Im still in Collector. Its such a pretty town that Im in no hurry to leave. I walked two laps and the GPS kept pointing to the same location, and I eventually figured it out. Thanks for the cache, The Farmers 5!
Finally I get to say I walked right into the cache this time. It was a 0.8 second find if we got the Guinness world records with me I would have had a fair shot at scoring some impressive results. Apparently getting them to come certify a record costs a fair bit of money. So youll have to believe me I guess.. Very good hide! Congrats
I must say, I never had the pleasure of playing the Bushrangers back in my day! I imagine theyd be a tough opponent. Baristayan nailed this one, her geo senses were well and truly on point for this.Fav point from meingenious! Thank you.
Off for one more find in Collector on the trip home, and pulling up @crzymelly made the find on the first touch and had the logbook floating to the ground. Signed and returned as found. TFTC!Cache 6 of 7Unfortunately it was home day, but it was a great weekend with the Capital Geobash Weekend. Caching with @itsonlybarney and @TeamPQS
On the way home from the Capital Geobash in Canberra, MavEtJu and I decided to pay a visit to Collector to enjoy the caches and AL here.
**Total find count: 1415**It's GeoBash Mega weekend!! And nothing better than going geocaching around the nation's capital for high favourite caches! Unfortunately it is home day. Off for one more find in Collector on the trip home, and pulling up @crzymelly made the find on the first touch and had the logbook floating to the ground. Signed and returned as found. TFTC!
Collector was the first stop for Heymissjo and I after leaving the Capital GeoBash in Canberra today. I did an extra lap of the block to assess the best parking place while towing a camper trailerWe popped out in a gap between numerous birthday well wishes and headed over to GZ, careful not to draw the attention of the man mowing the oval on a ride-on. The quality cache was found in perfect condition, with perfect coordinates. Thanks so much for helping Heymissjos birthday be all the more fun!
#1866Having driven up from Melbourne for the Canberra GeoBash Mega, The Welder and I are heading up north for a few nights. We are a little excited, as normally our busy brady bunch family keep us busy and at best afford us to take a weekend away. But with lots of planning 18 months in advance, we have managed to get a whole week away together. A first for sure! So as we head to our next destination, we have carefully planned a route so that we can collect some new LGAs as well. But not only are they new LGAs but places neither of us have been to before, so we are looking forward to visiting some new places. As we pulled up to collected this cache, I was greeted by a call by my daughter to wish me Happy birthday! She wondered what I was doing well caching of course! Isnt that the best way to spend your birthday? Roadtripping and caching! All is well at the cache. Thanks for the cache
Caching around the area, enjoying the great weather.A quick find here. Signed and replaced as found. Many thanks for placing this cache, The Farmers 5, for us and others to find.

Out today caching around the Collector area while at the Canberra Mega. Were having such a great time and are enjoying finding caches in a group weve named Team JAR. A real group effort as we work together hunting the caches. Cache found and signed. We thank all those whove placed caches in this country area. Its looking beautiful and green. Cheers and happy caching!
Out in the countryside as part of the JARS team finding lots of caches and enjoying the views. Thanks COs for the caches.
Another well hidden cache that bunadoorian some had his hands on. Talk about being hidden in plain sight. TFTC and for bringing us here The Farmers 5.
A bit quicker find than the last one but very clever nonetheless. It was all found in good condition. Thanks for the entertainment and TFTC.
Found this very crafty hide quicker than expected today. Great job. Thanks for the hunt. Another fave point.
Four years ago, a Bromance team adventure to hike Australia's highest 10 peaks in Kosciuszko National Park was cancelled after bushfires devastated the Snowy Mountains (and indeed most of the Eastern seaboard). We finally returned to Kosciuszko National Park a few days ago and have just spent three wonderful days in perfect weather hiking a circuit around the mountains climbing Australia's 13 highest peaks and collecting all the alpine caches along our route. After a recovery night and a few selected virtual caches in Canberra last night, the plan today is to grab some further chosen caches around Canberra before heading north late afternoon and caching on the way towards Goulburn. After our disappointment at the Police Fence, we were determined to make amends with a quick find here. The urban camo is good, but the container was quickly spotted. Our Bromance team stamp was used here. Many thanks The Farmers 5.Pete#7,710
Crookedpete, JezNDez and I were part of a group of 7 geocachers from Brisbane who set off on a 3 day hike to climb to the summit of 13 of the highest mountains in Kosciuszko National Park. Originally this hike was supposed to have been undertaken after Xmas in 2019 but the rampant bushfires closed the park just as I was picking up my fellow team members from Sydney Airport. Now, four years later and it is finally mission accomplished, and we are slowly making the drive back to Queensland, collecting a number of caches on our to-do list along the way. With plenty of daylight still on offer we decided to take a longer route to our accommodation in Goulburn. After a DNF on the previous cache we were please to get back into the swing of things and make a quick find of the well disguised cache. TFTC
I came to collector with the aim of clearing out all of the caches here and I was successful today. Nice little sleepy town and I felt almost like I had the whole place to myself which was great for caching. A lot of cool spots and some neat caches were found while I also did the AL. This cache especially was well hid but did not fool me.

I was heading up to Goulburn for an early shift and stopped in Collector on the way. Now that I feel like I'm getting familiar with the COs hiding style I was quite confident I knew what I would be looking for when I got to GZ.
Very sneaky hide, and blends in very well with its surroundings. +1 favourite point.
The best thing about being here in the middle of the night was no muggles, but I suspect they're not much of a problem in this sleepy town.

We found this one fairly quickly but note, it is also in the typical sneaky and clever style of this CO!

A nicely "hidden" cache here. I introduced a couple with a campervan to the joys of caching. I hope they join up.
Thanks for the geofun.

We are travelling down from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to Canberra for a 6 day (5 night) holiday, staying in a park cabin at Alivio Tourist Park in O'Connor, and planning to explore the areas around Lake Burley Griffin, old & new Parliament House’s, the Australian War Memorial, Questacon, the Carillion, Black Mountain, Mount Ainslie, and areas around Canberra Airport and maybe out around the Kowen Forest if time permits. Have solved most of the CBR Wherigo Puzzle series and numerous other Mystery/Puzzle caches, so will hopefully get to some of those, and will do some of the Adventure Labs, Virtuals, and EarthCaches in the areas we visit. Photos will be uploaded to logs after our return to home base.
Today we are on our way back to Sydney, but still managed to find some caches along the way. Started the day with some challenge caches and a Virtual cache at North Watson, then collected some of the CBR geo-art Wherigos out toward Majura and an EarthCache plus some Adventure Lab stages at Lake George. We then stopped off at Collector for an Adventure Lab (plus AL Bonus) and some Traditional caches. This was the 42nd of 50 finds for the day (day 6), and 195th find of the holiday.
Parked the geomobile in the parking area of the oval and, after finding the other Traditional cache on the other side of the oval, headed over to this one and made a nice quick find on arrival at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced the well camoed cache as it had been found. It blends in really well here. TFTC The Farmers 5.

Homebound after spending a week fishing Tangtangra for trout then Bermagui for flathead. Not a lot of fish caught on this trip due to bad weather, made a lot more time for caching. Heading home via Batemans bay then onto the Kings Hwy to end up on the Hume, hoping the flooding doesn't affect to much of my route. Lots of caches targeted along the way.
Flooding did indeed affect my route, should of continued onto Yass but have ended up in Collector. Grabbed this cache while I worked out the best way home. A clever hide.

Wow, another one that is unique and very cool. Blends in so well. Luckily the men in orange were not present today. Here have another favourite point for continually coming up with unique caches.
Found It!
No one at the SES building tonight so I soon found the cache after a bit of looking around.

A six day road trip to the mega event in Wangaratta.
For the second day, I met up with Brewmaker in Goulburn and together we drove to our next stop in Gunning along the backroads through beautiful countryside. Along the way we picked up a wide variety of cache types.
A good find by my fellow geocacher Brewmaker.

A few days caching in the ACT and surrounds with Steeba, Wilbert67 and The Rats, another trip away like countless others that we have done before. We got the dates, we did the planning, we worked out a route. But there was one thing that we could not plan for; the weather.
The caches were excellent. The company faultless. The weather; atrocious. Rain, rain, rain. And then more rain. On several occassions we had to change our intended route, abandon plans, and even came home a day early. Alas, the rain had been predicated, but we had hoped it would stay away.
Please forgive the boiler-plate log, I assure you it is no reflection on the caching experience of our few days away. Thank you to all cache owners for their hides.
Cheers

Our first post-lockdown caching run with steeba, Hoojar and Wilbert had been planned for months and whatya know it - we forgot to let the weather gods know our plans. NSW experienced torrential rain and chilling winds across most of the state, but that didn't stop us.
Friday's weather wasn't any better than the previosu day so we concocted a new plan that said trekking around Canberra grabbing LAB caches and a smittering physical hides.
We camped at the nearby field overnight so this a nice early find for a fellow orange member

Well post-COVID restrictions (in 2021!), The Rats, Hoojar, Wilbert67 and I teamed up for an assault on the areas surrounding Canberra. Problem was the weather had other ideas so we ended up with a day in Canberra and chipping away at other caches around the edges, and came home a bit wet a day early.
Many great puzzles and hides on this trip.

This cache took about 15 minutes to find. We searched high and low but without success. It was only when we challenged some of our assumptions that this very well designed and presented cache was located. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks The Farmers 5 for a great cache - it earns a favourite from us.
This morning was a late start, and a late finish this afternoon, in Goulburn via Collector all the way from Canberra. We were targeting Adventure Labs and EarthCaches with the odd puzzles here and traditional caches there.

#10518 - 12:29:00 PM; Out on a mission with Sol de lune this morning to undertake a caching circumnavigation of Lake George. Our goal for the day was to collect the various caches, including some Adventure Labs, along or near our route with stops in Bungendore and Collector as we made our way around. Completed the Bungendore leg and collected a few more as we travelled along the Tarago Road, then picked up the "Collector" series along the first part of the Collector Road followed by a short detour down Taylors Creek Road. Grabbed a couople more on the outskirts of Collector before heading across the highway and into town for the Adventure Lab and a few more caches which have appeared since our last visit. Didn't know what to make of the motor bike parked out front, but headed in anyway. Managed to make quick work of it and adding a favourite for the effort. TFTC The Farmers 5
Out with LuckyL10n on a run around Lake George, finishing off in Collector.
With a motor bike parked in the area, I was a little unsure of the approach, however LL decided to go for it and soon had it in hand. Another interesting little hide.
Thanks again Farmers 5.
