Up in the Hawke's Bay with big sis and hubby for a seniors band visit to Hastings. So big Sis and Hubby graciously agreed to come walking along this walkway primarily to find caches with me. Thank you Cee Vee for setting up these caches.
First solo cycle journey. I've been given a cycle and decided I'm not too old for flat cycle paths, so here goes I'm off the the gnome cache 6.6kms away and back collecting all the Geocache on the way. Good start here.
No pen to log as I dont expect to go caching but had my car get a WOF at the garage near by and had 30 mins to kill. Easy find, have taken a picture to confirm the find if needed. TFTC, my first for quite a while.
We travelled up to Taradale today to stay with family and celebrate a special birthday. While family time is definitely the focus we will try to fit in a little geocaching as we can.We came up SH 50 and made a slight deviation to do the AdLab at Ongaonga and then travelled on to Ruataniwha. Then back to SH 50 to continue north. This was our final cache as we neared our destination. We parked and walked along the path, not sure which branch to take. That eventually sorted itself out but the GPS was quite unsettled. Fortunately recently cut grass revealed a possible hiding spot and indeed it proved to be so. Geo-sense was useful here. TFTC Cee Vee
Visiting from Tauranga to bike some of the wonderful trails - and find some of the wonderful caches! Cache is wet but log is all good. TFTC
Found it where we expected to find it. Had a bit of water in it. Cleaned out and replaced. Thanks for the find.

#12,888. A short walk off Korokipo Road in Fernhill. GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. The cache, which was more a small than a regular, was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
Thanks for the placement, and for bringing us to this site, and …

Last one along here before cycling back into town, thanks for the fun series, cheers
Found in first spot I looked. Shame it has started raining or we would have wandered down to next cache
Thanks for placing the cache Cee Vee.

This was a really interesting walk. The locals have been using the nearby path to access the river. We thought the ute was going to roll down the bank. Very amusing to watch. Found the cache nice and easily and also found a little birds nest full of eggs! Lovely walk. Thank you. Picture for proof as I didn't have a pen.
Took a bit of searching but Miss 13 found it and it was in the most obvious place really. TFTC
Quick find on our Sunday walk. All good at GZ. Greetings from Wellington and TFTC.
The ladies from rattll and watcache decided a girly weekend in the Hawkes Bay was in order, so left the boys a list of chores, packed their bags and headed off for a weekend of frivolity and mischief.
We were surprised to find the Hawkes Bay was remarkably quiet, especially considering it was the last few days of the school holidays. However, the exception was the night club that was next door to our room at the backpackers, that provided us with a free live band that played predominantly loud reggae music until the wee hours of the morning. Too old to 'bop' the night away? Apparently not! Mrs watcache however can sleep through anything!!!
We parked up further along the trail and headed left to get this cache before doubling back to do the rest of the trail.
It took quite a lot of searching here, given it's fairly overgrown and we were focused on looking for something 'regular' sized. However, the 'wahoo' moment eventually came and the smaller than expected container was snaffled up, signed and returned as found.
Many thanks for putting this here.

I have to admit when planning to trip Napier with Rattll I had doubts in my mind that we would gets lots of DNF but to my surprise we only had 3 over the two days out of approximately 60 odd caches found.
This one was no problem to find thank you for placing a cache here for us to discover another area we never knew existed.

An amazing bike to Fernhill, quite a tricky cache. Will continue the trail. TFTC
We saved this one (of four) for last today. We didn't have time for any more. There was some fellow on his dirt bike riding up and down the piles of gravel nearby where we parked. Then when we got close to GZ for this one, he came along, riding up and down the banks. We grabbed the cache when he was out of sight, though.
Stayed a night in Hasting, an early morning start for a ride along this cycle/walk track . Quick find. Thanks Cee Vee for the cache.
Out today biking and gathering a few caches...we started with a few DnF 's which was not a good look...but our luck changed and we were on a good run found this cache all good and tidy thanks very much CeeVee
I was hoping for a coffee shop but only a wine trail. Tempting but I've got 11km return ride to do yet. Thanks for the cache series Cee Vee.
Have been meaning to do these caches for a while now 1 great weather for a bike ride. Good coordinates - found quickly. TFTC!
Last of 12 caches located today on day 4 of our motorhome summer holiday to Hawkes Bay. Found 11 on a bike ride along this trail today. #1 was our last find, at the end of the return leg of our ride. Good to spot it immediately! #3658. TFTC.
almost gave up on this one. I didnt enjoy the wet long grass but 2nd time round the kids and i found it. yay
I nearly left this one as I thought I would get it from the road as we passed by sometime but then I read the description and it saud do not park on the road
so I cycle the last leg and got it then time to turn around and into the head wind for the 18km back to clive

The sun has finally come out so it's time to go for a stroll and get a few caches. TFTC
The plan was to travel from Wellington up to Lake Waikaremoana for the long weekend, and then do the Great Walk (half way) around the lake. Sadly only half of that plan came true, but along the way I grabbed a few select caches and this was one of them.
No problem with the find here, all safe and dry. TFTC.

We were passing through to Napier so we decided to have a go at this trail on our ebike's. Parked up near by and this was our first. Quickly found and returned
I decided to get the bike out and do one of the trails in the Hawkes Bay today. The Fernhill Iway won the draw. So after swapping towballs on the cachemobile and then removing the bike from the snail shell and putting it on the back of the ute I was away. Parked in the suggested place and got ready.
I decided to do these in numerical order. Of course starting with this one.
Cheers for the cache.

After finding #2, I headed here for another quick find. Hopefully, I will round up the other three on my next trip to the Bay.
A quick find here, and in good condition. Enjoyed our walk along the trail today Thank you for placing these caches for us to find. Cheers
Found while on a North Island motorhome trip from Blenheim. Quick enough find in the long grass, tftc
After being in Hawkes bay for several days i was travelling home , via Tikino , this time and stopped at this cache. I parked out side the old house , well off the road , and walked on the walk way up towards the bridge. The cache was soon found although , not in the first place i assumed it would be , and the cache was retrieved, signed and then replaced . so i was soon back in the car and on to my journey south again.
thanks for this cache. There is an interesting set of walkways and cycle ways all around this area. I took nothing and left nothing .

After working in Whanganui for two weeks it was time to head home to Gisborne. What better way to break up the journey then collect some smiley faces on the way. Stopped here to collect the first of this series and will return sometime with my bike for the rest of them. Thanks.
A bold hide. Many thanks for this series to start to find on our first regional bike ride in Level 2 after being locked down around home.
Just missed ftf but was great to meet MorganEd-she got three-I got two!Fantastic day to get these new caches.
