DOC have removed the cache for being too close to their structures. Not sure when I will be out this way next so archiving until I can get out there and find another hide further away

Back in Germany I now want to log my finds in this beautiful country. Thanks to the owners for their work and care. With some cases, of course, also a favorite point remains.

Along a beach walk we found it and had a new Smily on our map

Found it together with Majline on our visit to this beautiful place. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Sweden.
Kayaking the Abel Tasman and staying in the camp for two nights. We paddled up from Kaiteriteri, stopping for a lunch break on Adele Island, then onwards to the 'mad mile'. Stopping to enjoy the beach in Te Pukatea Bay the group then paddled around Pitt Head. The stern wind was nice to help push us down to the camp site. After setting up the tent went for a bit of an explore and found this cache. No problems locating and nice to see a well protected log.
Thanks for the placement of a cache here.

Kayaktour and Geocaching is wonderful. Thanks for the Cache. We had a great time on the water and also on land.
Staying on the campground over night while paddling the coastline. Quick find. Tftc!
We spent the last night of our 5 day kayaking tour with Abel Tasman Kayaks here. Even with so many people around it was easy to be away from eyes to find the cache. TFTC
Had a great day in the park, walking from Anchorage back to Marahau. First find of the day after being dropped off by the water taxi. It's been years since the last time I was here, good to be back again. Cheers and tFTC
What a cool place! We walked out, starting at Awaroa and this was the last night, but can't wait to come back in summer. Stunning place.
Once we dropped off the bags in a room, I went for a quick search for this one. Several options, but found it. Nice sized container.

For this time of the year we good very lucky with the weather walking the track. We spend 3 nights in hut and 2 nights we had the whole place for ourselves. Found some geoaches on the way. TFTC
After kayaking from Marahau to Anchorage, we found this cache nice and easy. Good way to end a day trip! Thanks!
We're here for our annual trip to the Abel Tasman - this year a couple of nights at Torrent Bay. The water taxi can't pick up from Torrent Bay so when our stay was over we puttered across to Anchorage. Found while we waited for the taxi. All good. TFTC.
Awesome find while on school camp with fantastic Renwick School kids. Got to introduce a couple of them to the fun of geocaching. TFTC
Last find for the day and now time for a wine and something to eat. A quick find following the hint. TFTC Paddle Chick
On a trip to Nelson for a tramp walking the Able Tazman.
Had a lot of fun and would like to do it all again
Found with downsouthinv.

Quick find while staying here for a couple of nights. About 12 in hut at the moment
Walking from Totaranui to Marahau over Queens Birthday weekend... Failed miserably to get my offline list sorted on my phone (amateur much) - so most of the trip was non caching... to be fair it was pouring down for those 3 days so I wasn't prepared to hunt in the rain anyway.
Today it is beautiful... after a wet 3 days it is so nice to dry out. While waiting for hubby to arrive by water taxi so he can walk the last day with us... I darted into the cover here to grab the cache. TFTC paddle chick

Didn't take long to find this cache with the help of Mumandme and Madcow2 and Abbykitt. Nice hide and nice to get this one. TFTC
Last day of our 3 day walk in the Abel Tasman. While waiting for the boat for picking us up we thought it might be good to turn some of the boxes into smileys.
This was an easy and quick find. TFTC

Eighth cache found while doing the Abel Tasman walk for 5 days. The cache is still there in its hidey hole, I dropped a TB, TFTC!
Up in the Abel Tasman with a friend and x-geocacher for the day, we took the water taxi up to Anchorage and then did some day walks. I had to admit to tramping the AT twice but not indulging in any side trips and we usually leap frog huts for a full days tramping. We knocked off Cleopatra's pool, Pitt Headland, Torrent Bay and Te Pukatea Bay. A quick find in between school groups coming and going from the area. Thanks paddle chick for the cache all in good order.
Day 1 of our Abel Tasman experience. Kayaked around Adele island to Observation Bay, and then walked over to Anchorage. Wandered over to get this one after dinner. Nicely tucked away so findable even with lots of people about. TFTC.
A water pipe has been run through the area and might have led to the muggling of this one.
On a walk from Marahau to Anchorage today. Fantastic day. 12.83km walking according to Strava but only 6.33km as the crow flies to claim for the DGSc distance. Now to relax on the beach until the water taxi arrives. Thanks for the cache.
I forgot to log all these geocaches from a long time ago. Had a beautiful time dropping into as many bays as possible between anchorage & Marahau today. Enjoyed such a beautiful Nelson Anniversary.
Had a long search for this one before starting any of our walk. I was starting to think I had been here too long. However, I decided to expand my search from GZ and found what I was looking for.

Today was a great day for a walk from Anchorage back to Marahau with my bro-in-law and nephew. We took the 9am water taxi in and found a few caches before heading back along the Abel Tasman coast track. This was the first cache I found. Zero'd in and found the cache as per the hint. TFTC, Biggles.
Great spot to camp, really enjoyed our stay here. Now on our way to go to Mosquito bay! Caves in great condition tftc
It's school camp time and I am following, or leading the kids along half of the coastal track. I started here at Marahau on a Monday lunchtime, walked to Anchorage for the first night, Onetahuti for the second night, back to Anchorage for the third and the out to Marahua on Thursday morning and down to Motueka for a shower on the last night. All up, 78 km of walking on the track, popping down to most of the bays and sidetracks along the way, 11 hours moving and 8 hours 45 minutes stopped for eating, resting and cache searching. Thankfully no-one was using the ablutions so I was able to get to the cache and out again unseen.
Nice hut! Unfortunatly, it was shown as booked out (but it wasn't, quite a few no shows) so spent a lovely night in the tents with the kids as 40+mm of rain came down. A tad wet out! Cheers
A straightforward find near the well designed hut. Our group of 6 stayed on the campground and had it all to ourselves. A lovely night with a fire going. Thanks for placing the cache
A wonderful day planned in the Abel Tasman & we started in Kaiteri . It included a boat trip into Medlands Beach near Bark Bay, a hike to Anchorage & then the boat back to Kaiteri. A few cool stops on the way at Split Apple Rock, seal colony & migrating birds chilling on the open waters.
Stunning Anchorage

Wow, what a flash hut!
My first time here, we got dropped off just south of Bark Bay, so missed a cache find chance there and another cool hut. But we walked in here to find the place virtually deserted. A group of older trampers came in and we were on guard when a weka broke into their room and bolted with a book. RG1972 chased it down and returned it. A good laugh, and a lesson learned.
Cache was an easy find, I think we were third to find. We contemplated the nearby loop of 4, but will tramp in from Marahau another night soon to get those. Instead we enjoyed the sun and the deserted beach. TFTC PaddleChick. And yes, I will bag this hut!
Another great weekend in the Nelson area visiting RG1972. We packed a fair bit in - a tramp in the Abel Tasman N.P, a trip to Richmond craft market, a challenging 10k run with a sting in the tail, and we made some face masks for our trip up north next week. In between some good cooking and some donuts from Motueka’s finest - and a few caches on the way. But caching was a definite backseat this weekend. Still, a small handful found, and plans made to get more in the N.P. Thanks all COs.

(2TF) Dropped my bag and then took just a pen and my phone on a mission around Pitt head before tea. Had to collect this one on my way as it was just so close, and glad I chose that time as it was heaving at the hut later in the evening. TFTC. Nice sized cache!!
Have done a previous cache near here..,maybe it got buried in rock fall nearby?
Thanks
