CO ordinates are all over the place, it's a drizzly day, maybe that's hampering the find.
Today I tried but while we were looking for the geocache my dad told me that there were three boys Vandalising the barbecue
Well today I tried to find it but had no success but it was getting to dark so I had to head back home but I will try again later
Out for a nice drive in the area and hopefully find some caches. I had been here once before but there were people picnicking etc - nice to see the area being used. So no searching that day. Today I had a local and his very friendly dog wanting to help. After they had gone, and thinking about the clue, I got down to business. TFTC
Today was a drive down to Wollombi and picking up what we can along the way. An overcast cool day, but still enjoyable. Not sure how we would vote, but either way, the road needs some work, only one nice smooth stretch.Total Caches Found 16182TFTC techsavvy9
Found at 12:02 PM GAFF3.We were so lucky that there was absolutely no one around to impede our search! We really had to look around a lot as the GPSr wasn't being that precise for a long time. The clue made perfect sense after we eventually found the cache Thanks to techsavvy9
Hi techsavvy9,The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention, or it may not but in the absence of the cache owner performing maintenance and/or disabling the cache to check it out, I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 4 weeks) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.If you require more time please be sure to **post a note** (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 4 weeks to keep everyone up to date, if you do not then you cache may be archived without further note from a reviewer. Caches archived due to lack of maintenance are no longer unarchived and you will need to submit a replacement as a new cache.Ngaambul - Matt
Cache is still in position. Im going to change the difficulty as it would be hard to find for beginners.
Look around trees, posts, under benches, I even got under the building looking on top of the pillars. Using the hint didn't help. Couldn't find it
GPS had a hard time settling and couldn't get it down under 4m. I spent way too much time looking in places where a micro could be ... and no matter how much I willed it ... the little sucker wouldn't reveal itself to me. Maybe I will come back past and have a second go before I leave the area soon.
Cache is in the same position as the last one but a smaller cache and hidden a lot better from muggles. It’s still there . I got my grandson to check as I’m away.
With large numbers of family present I was starting to get a little over crowded so I got a few hours quiet time to grab some supplies and collect a few geocaches. Thought these would be mainly park and grabs but some were a bit more challenging (and three I couldn’t locate) but a nice run anyway.
GPS had me in the middle of a lawn and no real idea where to look. Tried a few spots where I would place a cache that involved fences but maybe i didn’t go close enough to find it. Hopefully I will be back sometime.

Blaze are camping on the cricket field atm to do volunteer work fixing areas of Cessnock that have been damaged by fires and floods. Please be careful of muggles in the area.?

It's moved little way as it keeps on getting muggled. It's now in a safer place I hope.

I found the log on the ground yesterday when I took Goldberry there. The cache is missing. I’ll replace it this week.
Find No: 8699. Out for the day with with shaneo58 & Justontime, called in to say g'day to techsavvy9 and had a beaut lunch (Lamb Pie) at Wollombi Tavern, thanks for the cache techsavvy9!!
#9172 (5 of 20 today - including 5 Adventure Labs)
I am gradually catching up with my logging - I'm missing two months worth or so. And that's over 100 caches! At least my most recent finds are up to date - just need to fill in the gap!
To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...
Only a few Adventure Labs and my First2Finds have been written up in a timely manner - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.
Nevertheless, I have kept up with my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, I just have to put my mind to my future goals... 25 per day? Owwww.
Thanks to all the CO's who have made it possible to keep my goal in sight. Most of the finds have been Traditionals, but a few Puzzle series and the odd other cache type have been grabbed where possible.
Sorry the logs are very generic, but I'll never catch back up otherwise.
###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###
Headed up to the Hunter for a real cache binge today. Many were little more than park and grabs, but I was glad to snaffle a few Multis and a bonus for the AL.
Final count for the day - 20. Top haul on a pleasant day out.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
This one took longer than it should - although I was being circumspect with workers nearby.
Added my ink to the log, replaced and away.

The co-ordinates aren't great here, and the cache seemed to have fallen from its place. I put it back in a more secure location. TFTC!

Out in Cessnock today to find some Adventure Labs and caches, and after completing the nearby AL bonus cache, we stopped by this one. There was a family on the playground when we arrived, but fortunately we were out of sight from them while locating the cache.

Do I get to claim FTF? Probably not, but after my GPS settled down the hint became clear and the cache was soon in hand. TFTC Techsavvy!
It’s always nice to see kids using playgrounds, except when you want to get on one for a photo. It’s not the kids that bother me, it’s the cranky faced parents that look at you oddly as you crash their spoilt kid’s fun time.
Playgrounds are so fancy these days. I’m sure as a kid all we had were seesaws that left prickles in your arse, swings where you could castrate yourself and metal slides that would burn your bum on a hot day or stick to your skin on a cold one. Back when we were kids we couldn’t afford colour in our playgrounds either. tftc

Doing some caching in the Hunter Valley region with illook4geo today and enjoying the caches and the views that the area has to offer. The container and log here were in good condition, with the log being signed with either both full names or sometimes just initials. Thanks go to techsavvy9 for placing this cache.
Out caching with goingplaces2 and enjoying the day. This was an easy find. TFTC.
Maitland Day 4, camped at the showgrounds.
As the others headed to complete the dogs head we headed south to Cessnock then continued through to Hillfield & Wollombi. We had a couple of AL to do & a variety of caches to find.
We enjoyed our drive into the countryside away from the bustle of the city & cars.
We did well only the last cache of the day having a DNF
Thankyou techsavvy9 for placing this cache.

There was some muggles in the park when we arrived and so I was concerned that they might make it difficult for me to search for this cache. I needn't have worried ... I was out of their view once I headed behind the building and so I was able to do my geo-business without having to look over my shoulder all the time.
Thanks for hiding a cache here techsavvy9 and helping to make our day out in the sun such an enjoyable one.

The lads and I took a little trip out to these parts today, so decided to stop for this one. The GPS had me too far down initially, so I spent a bit of time mucking about with the fence, before it woke up and guided me back towards the gold.... I think the coords were reading about 8m when we had the cache. TFTC!

Had this on the radar since it was published, which just so happened to be the day after finding the other 11 in the area. Today being a perfect winters day I loaded the 3 kids in the car and headed out to Millfield. in the car boot to burn some energy in the nearby park after the hopeful find.
