Great adventure with some lovely spots on the way. Once at GZ found pretty quickly, although I did get stuck on some branches.

Really impressed with the revamped picnic area that will bring in the influx of visitors here. Completed the AL hours ago, but off I went chasing a multi type puzzle.Heaps of people or visitors when I ran through the waypoints but no one in the carpark upon walking out from the multi type chase. Had CIH on dusk, thanks wnka

Driving home from Sydney today I decided to stop here and give the kidlets a chance to stretch their legs. Very busy at the falls today (Easter Monday) and the parking ranger was having a field day! We enjoyed our wander down to the bottom of the falls, with one kid determined to embarrass the other. Thanks for bringing us here and for the AL bonus

What an excellent AL. I loved the walk and the waterfalls. I loved walking even further along the creeks and scrambling over the boulders in search for a perfect swimming hole.
Found one. No people. No issue finding the cache. All good here.

Find #6,000 after 8 years of playing the game ...

Surprisingly, this was my first visit to Somersby Falls in the 10 years I've lived on the Coast. Even more surprising is that it has taken almost two years for me to get around to doing this AL! But I'm glad I finally got there.

I picked a good morning to put my tardiness to rest ... it was a nice and sunny but not hot (which I appreciated on the return trip) and I had the park all to myself. Very much enjoyed the walk, which didn't take as long as I thought it might, even with a bit of dallying at each waypoint. Then I was on my way to grab this bonus hide and had no problems there ... and all is well with the cache.

My thanks go to Wonka for finally enticing me to Somersby Falls, and also for setting up a nice Adventure to mark my 6,000 find milestone. Cheers!

We have travelled up from Sydney's Northern Beaches to the Central Coast, staying at the Norah Head Holiday Park (caravan park), for a short four day mid-week holiday. Stopped off on the way up at Somersby Falls and completed the Adventure Lab located there, then grabbed a few Traditionals and a Virtual cache before returning to the freeway and on to Norah Head. Planning on exploring areas surrounding Tuggerah Lake, including The Entrance, and up to Budgewoi. Also hoping to get out to Halloran for the Wizard Of Oz cache trail. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base. This was the 8th of 12 finds for the day (day 1), and 8th find of the holiday.

We had planned on visiting Somersby Falls before realising that there was an Adventure Lab located there, so it was lucky we checked before we arrived. Had an enjoyable walk around the falls, from top to bottom, ticking off the Adventure Lab stages along the way. Ended up with the coordinates of this AL Bonus cache, so off we went to final GZ.

Soon arrived at final GZ and made a nice quick find of a very familiar hide style. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Thanks Wønka for the Adventure Lab and this AL Bonus cache.

Finds #5862 to #5866 - "Somersby Falls" Adventure Lab caches.
Find #5867 - This AL bonus cache.

We had a few walks up and down the falls to complete the adventure lab. The final walk took us all the way to the bottom falls with our two year old managing to walk the while way himself despite repeated offers to get carried.

Back for a quick find of the bonus cache, though the spikes nearly got us today.

Thanks for the adventure lab and the bonus cache!

Back in November 2020 I enjoyed this great Adventure Lab as well as the Multi Cache around Somersby Falls.
Somehow I never got around to logging the bonus cache. So today, after a visit to the Australian Reptile Park, I drove to this nearby cache where a quick retrieval was made.
A FP from me for this great Adventure Lab!

Completed the adventure lab, took a few treks up and down the stairs due to dodgy internet coverage. An absolutely beautiful place. TFTC

Really enjoyed the AL at the Falls even though I walked up and down in my motorcycle gear.
Will have to come back and spend more time exploring here.
Made a quick find on my way home. Gets a fave point.

Found with shaneo58, doing some caches around the Central Coast. Looked like rain for the whole day but luckily it held off. Nice Al , a pitty the mobile reception gets bad as you proceed making it hard to put the correct answers in to submit. We finally got there by coming back, and getting the coordinate for this bonus making a quick find.
Signed log and Cache replaced as found.
**Thanks For The Cache** Wønka.

This makes the 1st cache of 10 for today making a grand total of 3413 at 9:49AM on this Thursday the 16th of December in the Year 2021

Last cache on our weekend away, got the coords after completing the AL but in a different format from what we're used to, luckily GZ is an obvious structure so we still managed a quick find. All good with the cache.
Thanks for the cache

I think I completed this AL about a year ago but for some reason never seemed to come back to claim the final bonus (I think the bonus was published after I found the AL maybe). Either way, great to wipe a blue dot off the map today.

Always good to come down to the falls.

Cache and log in great condition today, tucked away safe and sound. TNLN TFTC

Hi everyone, quick update

With cases on the coast I was afraid the virus would spread through contact of my caches and that people would be bored and break restrictions to find caches outside their area (I know I’ve found most of the caches in the area I’m limited to) which is why I disabled them. I disabled them once I found out a Sydney-sider came to the coast to do some caching during restrictions illegally.

I’d like to thank Coasties for following restrictions and not letting it get out of control here. With that in mind and the Central Coast no longer classified as greater Sydney for covid restrictions, I’ll re-enable all my caches within the next week. I’ll just do a quick checkup on all of them since I haven’t checked them in a few months.

All good

From 6pm today the Central Coast is in lockdown.
While I understand you can still go out and exercise (and presumably Geocache) I will be temporarily disabling all my caches for the 2 week lockdown.

I’m doing this purely because if an infectious person find one of the caches and another Cacher comes along they could become infected from the previous finder.

I hope you understand and that this is only for 2 weeks (or until lockdown ends if extended)

This adventure lab will also be disabled for now

In town for a friends 21st from Canberra and decided that this adventure lab looked like a fantastic way to start the day. It did not disappoint. Had a fantastic morning walk.

We really enjoyed the AL, which was a pleasant surprise as we hadn't originally planned to visit the falls. This bonus cache was icing on the cake.

Good one, thanks Wønka.

With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache Wønka

FTF at 16.40.
We completed the AL a little while back and Mrs Shifter noticed that the bonus had been published while at work. She thought about her 5pm plasma donation appointment, checked the time and realised if she left work quickly that she would be able to drive up the hill, find the cache and be back at West Gosford in time for her appointment. So that is what she did.
Just as Mrs Shifter was signing the log a car pulled up and it was barefootjeff. If she had delayed at work any longer she would have been STF.
Thanks for the AL and bonus cache Wonka.

We completed the AL some time ago and had forgotten about the bonus, so when it arrived today we detoured there on our way to Terrigal. Parking was good and the traffic even better, so the search was quick and easy, revealing a well hidden container. Thanks Wonka for a good AL and bonus hide, we enjoyed both.

I completed the AL back in October on the day it went live so it was good to see the bonus for it appear. Armed with the coordinates, I headed off shortly after the publication email arrived, reaching GZ just as the FTF was signing the log. Well done Shifters!

I've always liked visiting Somersby Falls, having done the seaeagles1997 cache there back in 2014 and thoroughly enjoying the event there a week later. It was that event that inspired my Chasing Waterfalls series of caches that have been springing up ever since. It was good to see the AL there and it didn't disappoint, so many thanks both for that and now this bonus.
