Found with minniek and the rest of Team CC24 (Canberra Canoeists 2024).Day 2 of our Colo River Region Caching Adventure. After an amazing days caching yesterday mainly on the river, it was time for some bushwalking for caches today. The main aim were the Challenges and Yin Yang series (or at least as many as we had solved). This area was our start point of the day. Nice quick find. Signed, returned, and we continued on our way to the next one. Thanks ilook4geo !! I'll be checking my stats for these ones.

It is now Sunday and we (the group who had driven up from Canberra) allowed ourselves a bit of a sleep in after the kayak adventure on the Colo River yesterday. It wasn't much of a sleep in though as there are just so many caches up here to be found - some of the mysteries having already been solved at home. The day dawned sunny and very humid, which didn't bode well for some of the hilly walks. However we were blessed with 100% finds of the caches that we targeted. This was one of them and the logs were all signed as CC24 (Canberra Crew) to save space. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches.[Smittengranny](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=Smittengranny) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8RA6W/51541 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.

Found on a day out this way, doing some of the Yin Yang series, challenge caches and whatever else came our way. OCW with 4Rods, EverestHigh and Its_Dozzie, we managed to survive the heat, the hills, the bush and deafening cicadas. A few goannas were spotted as well, and we enjoyed the scenery in the many places we visited.I love events, and I love that I qualify for this eventful challenge. As for the hide, you be the judge. Spending some time caching around the NSW/ACT southern tablelands with lots of side trips. TFTC.Another day around the hills of Colo River collecting challenges, solved puzzles and traditionals.A great day out with the Canberra Crew signing as CC24. It was hot & exhausting with lots of bush walks over many hills. Wonderful scenery. A long convoy of cars carrying kayaks. Awesome. Many great puzzles that are well thought out. Many to still solve.[sacada](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=sacada) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8RA6W/51541 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.User has 100 finds (20 needed).Filters:( types (Event Cache , Groundspeak Lost and Found Celebration) )

We started the day walking a trail of challenges, before moving on to ying yang puzzles. Our group consisted of kittykatch, joolay, contesta, MinnieK, Fitzy, search4, Aykayem, smittengranny, FurfacesLL, loci, Nibletricecakes, Gliss, TikvaNZ, sacada and myself. We signed as CC24 (Canberra Canoeists 2024) as our group name to represent all cachers.A nice walk through the bush for the challenge caches. The cicadas were loud, oh so loud at times! But a good series and a stunning view out over the colo River we had paddled from the morning before from the trad at the end. With our walk complete, we convoyed from cache to cache mostly doing the ying yang puzzles solved. A ferry crossing saw the last cacher cross, but the ferry sat on the other side chatting to the one car returning and after a long time waiting we turned and went of caching our own way unable to cross. Later, we crossed elsewhere only to meet up with the group returning!!! A warm day and the walks become too much for me with hills, a great day (Weekend) though and time to return home. A great area to visit and cache, thanks for your cache!

Sydney to Melbourne Meander. Day Two: Windsor to Cessnock (wrong direction, I know).Weather: SensationalOne of nine caches found along this fire trail this afternoon. A lovely walk along the fire trail, its fairly flat, and so peaceful after 24 hours of Sydney traffic. No wildlife seen!We have a lot of events in Adelaide, and being retired, I try to get to most of them. Still yet to catch an event in Sydney! Thanks for here challenges ilook4geo.[Otter61](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=Otter61) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8RA6W/51541 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.User has 223 finds (20 needed).Filters:( types (Event Cache , Groundspeak Lost and Found Celebration) )

No need for me to use the checker for this one. Heck I'm always at events! That wasn't always the case. When I first stumbled on this hobby I never ran into anyone, didn't even notice events on the map, well none in my area. I sort of felt it was a secret activity and went about my own caching business. Then my last relative passed away and for some unknown reason I began to search the map more diligently. Maybe it was a message from beyond? Anyway I found something at a venue that I knew and just 3 or 4 days after that sad day of I went to my first event.I found the host so welcoming and friendly and I felt so included. It was wonderful! That's how geocaching events and geocachers are. SmileThat day changed my life forever. I didn't meet the maestro of events that day, although he was there, but encouraged to attend events I soon met lots of friends. And here we are today.Project GC Challenge checkers says I have 169 event attendances plus 18 Community Celebration event. My profile says I have 192 + 18 event attendances. Project GC must take a while to catch up!So events are my thing and a Favourite is awarded.TFTC # 5612

Under beautiful skies I made the most of my day off work to bag a plethora of caches in the Windsor / Colo area. It was one of those days where I drove past more caches than I found, but I went with specific mindset of finding caches that helped improve my D/T rating.

Thanks to all the CO's for your hides, I had a great day either in the bush or by the river.

As previously stated I already had enough events to claim the find, so today I went for the physical cache. A warm walk on an overcast day. The cache was running low on swaps so I left a toy 4x4. A rare swampgecko pathtag has also been placed there. This cache filled on the last remaining day on my day calendar. Only taken me 20 years to fill it in. Thanks for the cache.

Today was a road trip around the Hawkesbury area. An ambitious list of caches to find as I set myself a target of reaching 10,000 finds by year end. Covid-19 lockdown put a spanner in the works and I now have only two months to find the remaining 200+ caches. So rather than interesting caches, I had to schedule a day in the car and go for quantity, rather than quality.

Getting out of the house for some exercise and decided to walk along North Turnbull Fire Trail and out to Morans Rock Fire Trail to take in the views. This was the second of eight finds for today. After finding ‘Walk A While – bet ya can’t’, I returned to the car and set the GPS to the parking area of this cache. Unfortunately, I drove straight past the parking area and eventually found somewhere safe to turn around. I found another clear space to park on the same side of the road as the cache. I used the Garmin instead of the phone and walked along the firetrail until the Garmin indicated I had to turn left. I had noted the hint earlier and was looking for something that matched. After battling some scratchy patches of scrub, I found the feature that matched the hint. Once I found the right level, I also spied the cache tucked away. SLTNLN. TFTC.

The incentive for today's trip in the rain was to qualify for the challenge of getting 5 cache types in a day which needed to include a large and coincided with the McQuade Park CITO which offered the "other" type.

This was my third trip along these fire trails so I knew what to expect. Even though there was nothing more than a heavy drizzle, I was soaked to the bone by the time I got back to the car. All containers and logs were dry and in good condition.

Gotta give a FP for a large container which ironically took me the longest to find.

The team was out today on a little road caching trip to celebrate our 4000th find, so headed down the Putty Rd and into the Blue Mountains. We found the required 15 caches, and managed a handful of trigs as well to poise ourself at 3999 for the main event (in the rain it seems) tomorrow....
A bit of a bash to this one, but no big problem at GZ, even a glimpse of a view! Cache contents are good.... TFTC!

I've been eyeing the growing challenge trail near the Colo River with interest. I know I qualify for every one except the *WhereIGo Challenge* (not even close).
