### Mount Peel Bushland ###We also made a stop here during our cacher tour. We parked the cachemobile at the car park, put on our hiking boots and packed our rucksack with water and food. Now we started our hike in Mount Peel Bushland. On the way we enjoyed the beautiful nature and the many beautiful caches. Thanks for the fun Team sissifalke
Stunning views! I wouldn't have climbed that hill without the cache above thanks for this amazing opportunity.
On a mission at the moment to complete a challenge cache challenge in the north of Brisbane, and I had 7 target caches in Toowoomba on the radar when I left Brisbane mid morning. After making the long drive out west to the range I parked up and knew I was in for some hills. The made my way to ground zero and soon had the cache in hand, log extracted and signed and returned safely to its hiding place. Now its off to the next one on the radar today.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found by fellow cachers.Cheers
Travelled up to Clifton via West Haldon and from there, out towards Leyburn to do some tree fishing caches. Then I travelled north towards Toowoomba to finish off some outstanding caches at Mount Peel Bushland Park.Back to mop up the last of the Mount Peel Bushland Park caches. Actually took me several minutes to locate this cache. It blends in well. Great cache container too. TFTC. TNLN. SL. TBs Prado Owl ; The Great Leap Forward Geocoin ; Bee Croc ; Rawhide ; RobS72 2000 Finds GC ; Forest Hill Ear Tag ; Iceland Geocoin ; and Kiwi Bird visited.Find # 2162.
What a beautiful cache. Very quiet and peaceful. A great way to end the walk with a trek down the hill to go. Thanks
After a walk up Wilson’s Peak, the green geckos & I saw on our map a needed D/T here at Mt Peel so in we went again as dusk as the rather large orange fireball in the sky descended behind the western hills.BEAUTIFUL!!!
Oddly enough I need a couple of 1/2 & 2/1’s for my next couple of loops so I couldn’t walk past this find.Great hide everything in good condition.

The color was neutral enough that it was not a d1 instant find for me, but not too tricky. TftC.
Had planned a day in Toowoomba,in the end Beardman75 joined for the fun.
Second Mountain for the day.
Thank you for hiding

Another cute container. Found within the Magic Faraway Tree. We’re about half way through our Friday Afternoon cache hunt in Toowoomba. We started by heading anti-clockwise and around the perimeter of the park. Next, our map looks a lot more messy, going from smaller track to smaller track. Thanks for the cute cache container here. Fun. And a FP for the effort. TFTC
With a couple of geocaching event on the calendar in Toowoomba this weekend, Duppers and I decided to head on Friday. After a am knock off from work, I headed over and picked up my geocaching buddy. A quick stop for coffee and brunch, we were soon on our way to Toowoomba.
Peel mountain was our target area for the day.
Quick find at this location. Everything is in good condition.

Out for a quick blast on Remy, up where it is a tad cooler. There was a ferociously cool breeze when I was getting ready for my ride. It was soon appreciated as a ground my way up hill and down dale.
Cute container. A favourite point for it.

What a cute little house
Fit for a mouse
Or perhaps a pixie
Might use water to douse

We return to Toowoomba nearly every year as we have family here, what can be better than combining family visits with geocaching. Our first visit to Mt Peel was in 2011 and each time we return here we find new caches to make the walk worthwhile. SL TFTC
So grateful that the sun has come out to play though there was still a nice breeze as the KellerClann duo and I meandered the trails here. The locals are a little nervous of my inclination to jump into bushes as the dangers are much higher here than in Ireland but it's a fine balance between care and determination we saw some interesting wildlife on our ramble including Roo, Wallabies and a Goana! I loved Enid Blyton as a child and this was a fitting tribute. TFTC
I loved reading Enid Blyton books as a kid! It was a beautiful day as I made my way to this very cool hide. Favourite point given for the Pixie.

Headed out to Toowoomba for a day of caching with Peppa and this was our target area.
Lovely walk here and the cute cache was quickly spied.
I’m searching out “cleanskin” caches those without attributes so that was a bonus here. A FP from me.

July is all about challenges thanks to the latest Georode Monthly Challenge in Brisbane… and Mt Peel is rich in unsigned challenges…
So I assembled a group of willing Brisbanites, and a plan was hatched for today…. A couple withdrew leaving just nikid1 and I to enjoy the glorious weather and environment up here on the range…
I wasn’t convinced about heading down here for the find, then nikid1 pointed out something very interesting about the attributes and it then became a must do…
Cute outer container… and seeing nikid1 didn’t return damp or even slightly moist, I’m assuming her level of “peeping” was acceptable… she’s a good peeper, very subtle…

Wow, what an awesome hide! on a walk through the area and saw a green dot, decided to follow the trails and ended up at GZ, looking in all the wrong places till I donked my head on something.. ahhh... that is super super cool! definitely worthy of a favourite point... thanks for the cache neon cat!
Nice little hiding spot, beautiful view, and a great hike, really works the legs, and is overall worth it.
Out and about today on my gravel bike finding a couple of geocaches and doing a little bit of maintenance on some of my geocaches.
A quick find here today.

Such a happy walk through the Mt Peel Reserve. Given this one was placed on Mrs Domsky’s birthday, (not the same year ), we had a smile as we logged it with Willis007.

After having spent the last 2 days caching in, north and south of Oakey with a great caching crew, and having a 4 day weekend, it was an easy decision to make to stay an extra night in Toowoomba to cache through Mt Peel with Domsky.
We made our way to gz and quickly found the cache here. After signing the log we continued on our journey.
Thanks neon_cat for placing the cache here.

Very cute cache. Removed nibbled biscuit that someone had left. Found a pretty pink pen on the ground so placed it in the cache. (It works well. )
Thank you for placing this nice little cache neon_cat.

Needed to find a cache today and needed to go for a run so decided to do both at once! Took the long way round and got a few scratches along the way but a nice area to run in. Very nice cache container. Tftc
It appears as though the crickets still live here! They look like they are feasting upon the lollies someone has left!
Grey nomads travelling around Australia in our caravan. Held up a bit due to Covid19, so currently in Queensland only, but there are plenty of caches in our home state that we have not yet found. Currently, doing a lap around South East Queensland, and we are house sitting nearby, so able to enjoy the festivities of the carnival of the flowers and other nearby features.
The tantalising Mt Peel greets us every time we step out of our caravan at the house sit, to today, with sandwiches made, we ventured into this park, after circumnavigating to get our bearings.
We found a far away tree, and went in for a look. OOOOH The angry pixie shares her home with a hungry cricket. At first I thought it was just swag, until it started moving. Then I realised who had gotten hungry and started to eat the plastic bag. Great hide neon_cat. Fave point today

Oh my the tree resembles the faraway tree very much indeed and the pixie abode was just a clever touch! Fave point from me!
I'm curious if an angry pixie is like an upset wasp? I'm well versed in the damage of a wasp, but what can a pixie do? So I lookup the doctor and checked out pixie mood and got handbags. A mistake that will now reoccur in my search engine ideas for the next 6 months.
So I did another search and got the following - Pixies are mischievous, graceful and whimsical. They love dancing by moonlight in fairy-rings etc. These attributes don't sound like anything too serious to get worried about, even if the pixie is angry. These attributes do sound like me having a night on the turps. Cut off the alcohol and I'll get angry. So my short form thesis recommendation is not to hide the alcohol if you have a pixie infestation in your house. Thanks for this public service announcement / warning neon_cat.
