Over the ditch in Sydney for 10 days visiting one of our sons and picking up a few caches. Today we had a great day up in the Blue Mountains doing several hikes. Loved the ALC here and this bonus as well. Has to be a favourite, TFTC
Bisoutje and I are on a long roadtrip between Cairns and Adelaide and have now touched ground at the Blue Mountains. We spent 2 days hiking in this beautiful national park and enjoyed every second. We saw numerous animals and plants, magnificent views over waterfalls, mountains and valleys and were able to hike many kilometers and altitude gains. The legs are sore but the memories are worth it!We visited all the lab locations yesterday and were happy that we did. Each location was well worth the visit. All answers were quickly found and today we enjoyed finding the cache as well at a nice place. We camped not too far from here .TFTC and fav point awarded
We are visiting from Canada and did the beautiful Prince Henry Cliff Walk this afternoon. Picked up all the clues and returned for the bonus this evening. Quick find with the hint. TFT
On our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia, we arrived in Sydney yesterday. Today we picked up the rental car and drove to the Blue Mountains. We arrived quite early and there is plenty of time to visit The Three Sisters. We went on a lab adventure and ended the adventure by finding this bonus cache.**The Rats**, thanks for the cache.
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Signapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. We had about three weeks in New Zealand which went by too quickly. Yesterday we flew from Auckland to Sydney and today we are driving to the Blue Mountains where we will stay for one night. After checking in in our hotel we went out for a walk in the Blue Mountains. We walked the Prince Henry Cliff Walk to get a good look at the spectacular scenery of the Blue Mountains. Since we had excellent weather, we thoroughly enjoyed the walk. During our walk we visited the lab adventures and got all the right answers. Thus with a little detour could also visit this bonus which was at a nice spot. The cache was found quickly without any problem. Thank you very much for the lab caches and this bonus.
#2,108After completing the AL we worked out the bonus location.Map showing on oval side of creek but ???Took some searching. TFTC.
#5952Found this bonus cache after completing the corresponding AL. The feet got a little damp crossing the creek but no real dramas with that. Cache was found reasonably quickly. The log is a little on the damp side but still able to be signed. Probably needs a visit next time you're up this way. Thanks for the geo-fun.
Nice walk around collecti g way points this morning. Came over to collect the Bonus, wasn't too long before find TFTA
Is this Adventure still available? A link or the QR code to it might help ... can't see it in the Adventure Lab App
I completed the AL quite some time ago now on what was a very wet and miserable day, today back in the mountains visiting my brother for his birthday we took on the walk once againHad some troubles with the Checker(maybe my lack of caching)a kind CO helped me out to make the find.Nice to tick this off finally Thanks for the cache

Did the AL quite a while ago but today could finally cross the creek without having to get wet. Ended up going further and higher than I needed to though. TFTC
After walking the route in the park, we sat on the terrace to see where it was located. Stopped to visit it on the way to the hotel.
Geohubby (GeoTigerAce) and I are headed off on a 4 week holiday from Brisbane heading to Canberra, Parkes, Katoomba, Sydney, Melbourne, Ballarat, Dubbo, and Coonabarabran as our main stops, with lots of side stops along the way planned. A much needed road trip to take in the sites and spend some time away in nature.Over the course of our 4 weeks I wanted to focus on Australia's 'oldest' caches, and caches of interest (e.g., iconic locations, interesting locations, lots of favourite points, and places I have never been) as well as hitting my next milestone (#600). It has been a wonderful trip and we have seen so much, and spent a lot of time caching and exploring little places of interest. Thanks to all of the cache owners for maintaining these caches and bringing us to beautiful places on our travels, and challenging us to keep on looking at the world just a little bit differently. Lots of memories have been made.Day 14: TripCache #47: Today we started early so that we could pick up the Muggle family members from the airport as they had come to join us for the weekend. We took a drive to the ANZAC memorial walk at North Head so that they could see our grandfather's stone and the beautiful scenery from this side of the Harbour. We then took the girls to lunch at 'Little Evie' before driving them to their hotel and went back to our own to rest, change and get ready for the night's adventures. We met again along the harbour for dinner, where GeoHubby and I enjoyed a wander through the outside of the Maritime Museum and the views from local lookouts along the way. After dinner, GeoHubby spent some time at the Star Casino (which is SO big inside - and all shiny and sparkly!) while us three ladies went to see Wicked - which was phenomenal as always! While I appreciated the opportunity to drive over the Sydney Harbour Bridge - I have to say that I still detest Sydney traffic and the layout of the city - after 20 minutes you get no where because the city snakes in and out and doesn't go anywhere - I still claim Melbourne has a much better layout for driving around in.Great walk around this area to complete the adventure lab before heading off to locate this one. All in good condition, log signed and replaced. Thanks.
On a road trip holiday with CaptainKirky. On this part of our trip heading South from Brisbane. On this part of the trip we are today heading from Katoomba to North Ryde. Grab a few caches along the way, including this lab bonus find, a great little place for a find.
Completed the LAB and headed back to find the bonus which was close to our cabin. It took 2 trips before something was spotted which proved to be just what I wanted.
Thanks The Rats for all the fun completing this one.
Thanks The Rats for all the fun completing this one.
Completed the advent er lab yesterday. Solved and out early today. Cache found and signed. A but damp.
On this trip we are basically looking for Adventure Labs, Earth caches and Virtual's, anything where there isn't muggles involved and also hoping to pick up a few LGA's we need around the Sydney area
We stayed in Katoomba last night and have been working our way down towards Sydney having a great time locating caches and seeing some fantastic scenery.
We had a nice early start today and we couldn't believe our eyes when we got up and there was no fog around as there has been on our last two visits making this walk a great idea.
We really enjoyed doing the Adventure Lab early this morning and at the end we were rewarded with a set of co-ords for this bonus cache. When we first pulled up near gz and had a look where the GPSr was pointing, we thought no, we are too old for that sort of behavior. A little bit more exploring meant we had found a much better way to get to gz so we simply followed the GPSr to right where the container was hidden and happily added our name to the log before returning everything as it was.
Thanks The Rats for the ad lab and for the bonus, a favourite point from us.

What a great way to rand out an epic location by doing a bonus. Thank you heaps lovely little river
Flew to Sydney yesterday and today was spent in the Blue Mountains. We enjoyed the Prince Henry Cliff walk from Scenic World to Echo Point stopping frequently to admire the views and completing the AL. We got the bus back to Scenic World and drove to make the find. Favourite point for a wonderful day out and an enjoyable AL. TFTC
AustraliaA country that has fascinated me for a long time. But the distance to get there was just as great as the desire to drive there. So it was dreamed but not implemented. But then our friend nalfion moved again. And this time to Down Under. That gave the go-ahead to plan a little more firmly for the first ideas and fantasies. The bosses were asked about a longer vacation and then we went to the travel agency with our rough ideas. For such a complex thing we wanted to have support. And after a few appointments there, the basic structure was in place.During our summer holidays we went to Sydney via Singapore, where we spent 2 days. 2 days in Sydney city and then we went with a small camper van with the whole family via Katoomba to Cairns. Our friend lives in Adelaide so ended up staying there for a few more days at the hotel before heading back to Germany without any lengthy stops via Melbourne and Singapore.A wonderful holiday that at least brought us a little closer to this huge country and gave us many great memories. We arrived in Katoomba late in the evening with our camper (ok, not really late, but after sunset), so no more sightseeing that day.But today was a new morning. Rise and shine and sightseeing. (and some Cockatoos watching)The Lab was nice and easy done before we took the Scenic Adventure acrosse, back again, down, up, and all the ways. The Bonus was found on the way back from shopping to the campground in the afternoon. Thanks for the Cache.
I’ve had a long hiatus from Geocaching due to 2 1/2 years of hospitals and operations due to bowel Cancer, Im happy to say I’ve survived it and ready to live life.
I’m working in Katoomba for the next couple of weeks and thought I’d grab a few caches while I’m in the area.
I started the AL at Echo Point and thoroughly enjoyed the walk and the stunning views all be it is cold and breezy conditions.
The cache was a quick find right were it said it would be. The cache contents were quite damp and a little mildewy. I placed the logbook on my engine block to dry it out and used a cloth to clean the moisture from the inside of the cache.
I’ve dropped two TBs to continue their journeys with someone new.

Nice AL walk in the Blue Mountains with GeoBuddies Meritonnn and TanCan20 which we almost didn’t do -but wow what a beautiful walk this is! The next step was confusing to me but I had help from Meritonnn, who pointed me in the right direction. We got the co-ordinates and drove to bonus cache… it started raining and was really cold so I let Meritonnn do the dirty work! TFTC
Up in the mountains today to tackle Lawson parkrun and then some UTA stair and trail training at Katoomba with Jowanale, Tancan20 and our muggle running buddy.
After completing Lawson parkrun and finding a couple of caches down that way, we made our way up to scenic world to park the geo mobiles and grab a hot beverage and some sustenance before we embarked on the second portion of our training run. This consisted of going down the Furber steps, running along the federal track, then slugging it out up the Giant Staircase... My god that was tough going but we lived to tell the tale.
At the top of Echo Point we grabbed the info for the virtual along with another hot beverage to warm up as the weather by now was really quite dismal. We figured while we were here we may as well start the AL and quickly completed the first 2 stages. But then there was some hesitation as to whether to continue along to the next 3 locations or to simply run back along the streets. Part of the hesitation was around whether any further 'stair work' would be involved thankfully we made the decision to continue because it led us to some of the most beautiful locations of the day - Katoomba Falls in particular was just magic

Took advantage of sunny skies by spending the day in the Blue Mountains. Glad to finally spend time in this area after having to postpone due to poor weather throughout the school holidays. Thanks to all Cache Owners for their caches.
An interesting AL experience. An easy find with the simple hint. TFTC

Well, looking for this cache has proved to be extremely dramatic! Found the Adventure Lab without difficulty and therefore the coordinates. Headed off to find the cache, got nearby and suddenly a dog ran out of nowhere and bit my leg. Straight to Blue Mountains hospital and the next day to Nepean hospital. So unfortunately I didn’t get to search for the cache!
Thanks to giraffe_legs for his dedication braving the cold water in his bare feet to get this one for me after I dragged him around all the AL locations in the wind and rain. Now off to kmart to get some dry clothes.....thanks for a great adventure
An adventure done in two parts ... the first on a freezing cold wet day last winter (ironically on a day when it was fine and sunny in Sydney) and today in typical Katoomber weather conditions.
OSM had me on the wrong side of the creek for this bonus but thanks to the hint, it didn't take long for my geo-senses to kick in and identify the likely hiding spot. Made it over the creek without getting my feet wet, thankfully, and then the cache was quickly found.
Thanks for this AL and for this bonus cache ... always fun to take in the valley views.

Bit wet, but still able to sign log. Thanks for this bonus cache to a great adventure lab. TFTC!
We are on a cachey 10 day holiday, starting off with 2 nights at Emu Plains to hopefully collect the new GFA puzzle caches around Luddenham and some more of the Band caches north of Penrith. Then it’s 5 nights at Oberon to collect some of the many new & old puzzle caches that we have solved around the area, and also hoping to complete the Oberon Adventure Lab. After leaving Oberon we will be visiting Jenolan Caves, for both the caves and the Jenolan EarthCache, then heading to Katoomba for 2 nights to ride the Scenic World attractions (Railway, Cableway, & Skyway) and to do a few caches of various types plus an Adventure Lab. We will end the holiday with a stop-off at Wentworth Falls for some more caches and a couple of Adventure Labs.
Today is the last day of our holiday, and our planned stop-off at Wentworth Falls for some more caches and a couple of Adventure Labs has had to be cancelled due to wet weather, but we will still collect some caches around Katoomba before we depart. This was our 1st find of the day (day 10), and 174th find of the holiday.
We completed the Adventure Lab yesterday in glorious sunshine, and enjoyed the walk between Echo Point and Scenic World, BUT a major section of the track between Lady Darley Lookout and Cliff View Lookout is currently closed, so we had no option other than to walk that section on the roadways, which was less than ideal with many of the scenic lookouts missed. Thankfully all of the AL stages were accessible, and we were able to complete the AL, but we ran out of time to go in search of the AL Bonus cache.
So today it was to be our first cache target, but we nearly came unstuck negotiating the unexpected creek crossing, but we managed it in the end and reached GZ without getting too wet for a nice quick find. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Thanks The Rats for the AL and for this AL Bonus cache.
Finds #5245 to #5249 - "Scenic Rim" Adventure Lab caches.
Find #5251 - This AL bonus cache.

What a lovely AL, the only FULL one I found today. The BONUS was a very nice surprise... I only fund out about it's existence upon finding the first AL point.
Last cache of the day! Time to head back to the hotel.
Thank you The Rats!

We had a day off because of bad weather in Sydney Olympic Park. And a plan came to take shape for a group of us to visit the Blue Mountain. I looked at the map and saw there are some nice geocaching possibilities in the area, and I could get some of those even in a mostly muggle group.

Back in Sydney this year for work. Not many days off, not much time for geocaching, but since some days are rainy and we are not at work, I can still go around and get some finds. Luckily this year o also have my bike with me, so that makes it easier to get around.

Thanks for the Bonus Cache.
Thanks for the Bonus Cache.
Nice spot in the mountains. Geodaughter came along for one of the two creek crossings. TFTC
We started this on our last visit and today in drizzling rain we polished it off. With coordinates in hand we arrived at GZ to face a small "challenge" . Off with my shoes and socks and I soon had it in hand. It was pretty wet so I dried and sealed it as best I could. Thanks The Rats for a nice AL and bonus!
Did the adventure lab yesterday and the cache today following scenic world. Bad day to wear jeans but cache is signed. Thanks
Last time we where up in Katomba is was raining hard and access to this final was blocked. Today we drove to a familiar spot a watched the locals playing cricket then headed off to claim a find. With the cache in hand, we signed the log before replacing it as found. Both the container and log are in excellent condition. Thanks for the cache The Rats.

After walking around the scenic rim in one of my favourite parts of the world I made the short walk to find the bonus. TFTA and TFTC
Completed the lab caches today with ilook4geo to get the info for this bonus cache, which was enjoyable. They took us to some very familiar places, as well as some places we have never visited before. We laughed when we realised where GZ was, as we had stopped in the area to enjoy some lunch just a short time before. The better rock hopper got the job of retrieving the log for the cache here and doing the signing. All was then replaced as found. Thanks go to The Rats for placing this cache at the end of a fun tour of Katoomba.
Found this cache with goingplaces2 after doing the lab caches. All was in good condition and log was signed. TFTC.
Found with Lurliners after doing Adventure Lab caching. Creek was still flowing but not flooded.
Did the adventure lab cache and enjoyed the walk but was a bit worn out afterwards.
The bonus cache beckoned and it was soon found. Thank you for the great views, lots of steps
friendly people and a good afternoon out. TYFTC

After completing the Adventure Lab cache in December in horrible weather, this time I was back in Katoomba for the bonus cache. It was nice and sunny and near the cache site there were some dads and children in the creek.
Cache was found and I explained a bit about geocaching to the muggles.

Quick find even though it is very much settling into the leaf litter. Creek crossing was ankle deep. Favourite for an enjoyable lab. Tftc photo attached as no pen. Thought stamp was in pocket but no.
After spending the morning abseiling at Malaita Point, and making the long Esk back up via the Furber stairs, an easy walk along the top of the cliffline was quite easy, and an excite l excuse to stretch my legs before a long drive home.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Having completed the AL last month, we returned today to find this bonus cache. Unfortunately, we only got to within about 15m of the GZ, stopped by the raging torrent nearby thanks to the recent downpour. Will have to come back for this one.
On a caching drive to Katoomba to do an Earthcache with WaywardWoman. A few detours here and there to do the lab waypoints. Very sore knees after a many step steep walk! We Live in, and love the Bluies and any excuse to cache in and around. Thanks The Rats for the lab and the Bonus.
Thanks for this amazing cache. We did the walk yesterday and went for this one today. Pretty quick find on this rainy day with Junni1. Greetings from Finland
We moved back to our van full time just few days ago and decided to head back to Blue mountains first thing. After couple days in Lithgow and nice hike to glow worm tunnels, we decided to drive to Katoomba. Yesterday we did the cliff walk and the lab trail with it. Today just touring around and after some caches! Hint was helpful for us as the coordinates led us a bit off from the cache. Tftc!
When I came here to find the Lab I was quite time poor, and thus did not have the opportunity to find this additional cache. Today with plenty of time to spare during a 'touristy' weekend in the Mountains we rewalked the track from Scenic World to Leura Cascades, and then dropped by here on the way back.
A really enjoyable Lab, and a quick little cache.
Cheers

We did the Adventure Lab walk yesterday, and loved it, managing some other virtual finds along the way. We had never done the Prince Henry Cliff Walk before, so thanks for giving us the push we obviously needed.
I gathered up the clues for this cache, then completely overthought what was needed in the 'puzzle', even to the point of consulting my brains trust back in the Hunter. Eventually the simplest option proved a winner and we had some coordinates.
The kids wanted to go to Scenic World this morning, but we had to wait for an entry time, so ducked back out in the car to find this before then. The kids loved the creek crossings, and Oliver made the find between the trees. TFTC!

Completed the AL yesterday but no time to do the Bonus. Managed to get out early this morning to complete the job which I managed without getting my feet wet. Thanks for the spectacular AL and the bonus The Rats.
Liked this one. Parked at scenic world and walked the Prince Henry Walk. All quiet in the late afternoon. Found answers quickly. Quick find of cache at gz. Signed and replaced. Tftc. Fav point.
Really enjoyed the Scenic Rim - Prince Henry Cliff Walk on this very cold winter's day.
GZ not a good idea to go after this bonus cache after a lot of rain (very wet leather boots).
Thanks to The Rats.
Oldmorty and I had a great afternoon. Please accept a FP.

OCW frazeydaze.
After completing the Adventure Lab and getting the coords it was off to gz where I graciously let frazeydaze get the wet feet. I guess with the constant overnight rain the little stream had to be flowing.
We enjoyed the Adventure Lab and enjoyed the absence of the usual stream of tourists at the lookouts. Thanks for the Adventure Lab and the bonus cache and have a FP.

After spending the day exploring Katoomba & visiting Scenic World, we surprised the geokids with a 2 night stay at Jenolan.
We ate lunch at Echo Point and did some walks. A cold but sunny day, perfect for caching & adventures. TFTC The Rats. Cannot think of anywhere more spectacular for an adventure lab!

#5395- Last Thursday I came up to Katoomba to do the Lab cache but didn't have enough time to do the bonus. Each Monday I work up here, so after work I headed down here. A pretty spot, a hop, skip and a jump and I had CIH. A great way to end this Lab series in one of the most glorious parts of Australia. Thanks the Rats- it's wonderful to be a tourist in our own backyard. We certainly are lucky.

Thanks for the great cache and the bonus one was easy to find with the hint. A favourite from us
Having completed the Lab this morning, time constraints didn't allow for this one. I have confirmed my Co- ords are correct and 'I'll be back!' Thanks The Rats.
Spent a few hours in the Mountains for a bit of bushwalking and a few caches along the way.
A nice walk along the Prince Henry track with lots of water from last night's rain.

Quite an easy find in the finish, the culmination of a great day. Our first Ad Lab experience. Cache is in good condition. Signed and replaced. TFTC
It's hard to go wrong with a walk like this! Spectacular views all the way. I was lucky scenic world was still closed. This made for easy parking easy access and a very quiet walk. Loved the sun going down on the mountains.

I did the Scenic Rim - Prince Henry Cliff Walk yesterday and it was a lovely walk with great views. I have never done this walk before and would highly recommend it.
After attending all the locations put the required information into the checker. I thought this was a clever way to get the coordinates.
I headed off this morning to find the Mystery cache and soon had cache in hand with an added bonus of collecting a path tag.
Thanks for the Adventure LAB cache and the bonus cache.
FP given for the adventure, views and many photos taken.

I was honoured to be invited to Beta Test this Adventure Lab and Bonus Cache.
It was a lovely walk around the area that I explored previously, but have not revisited for too long.
Once on the right side this was an easy find.
TFTC.

This is my first LAB cache. Thanks for setting it up The Rats.
Started the walk quite early before the crowds started arriving at Echo Point and then did the walk to Scenic World. The track was very wet after a good drop of rain last night but nevertheless it was a pleasant walk. Having located the cache I realised I didn't have a pen so had to back track to the car and get one from home. Returned later to sign when I found there was one in the little cache container anyway. What a mix up!!!
