Our last find for the day. Had a wonderful time caching in Maryborough. A FP for this one.
We are back in one of our favourite towns for a long weekend. For the afternoon we went searching for couple of caches near the showgrounds. We had been here couple of times before - Uwe had a smilie, I didn't. So we gave everything to find this beast this time, and yes! We found it! We signed the log, and I have now a smilie too.Tftc Liz and Bruce
Found after a longish search with The X-Trailers. Was afraid it was going to fall onto the highway. Magnet was not working as placed wrong. Now holding . TFTC

Tried for this a few weeks ago, when we were in Maryborough, with no luck. This time, we managed to sight it in the open air.

A nice connector for pedestrians and bikes across the bridge, and upon arrival at GZ, the cache was a quick find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [Liz and Bruce](https://coord.info/PR68BB) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------During this trip, I travelled with [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) (who was visiting from Adelaide, SA) and we visited Maryborough for an extended weekend.Friday was the drive north, which involved the full day with stops in Nambour, Eumundi, Pomona, Gympie, Tiaro, and Maryborough, and highlights included the *Evil* series and the *Big Aussie Day Bash* series. The weekend's two days prioritised the *Jolly Brolly Folly* (JBF) series and *Geocaching 101* series, with a Sunday afternoon trip to Utopia Falls. Finally, Monday's itinerary included a few last geocaches that were in town, and we then returned home via Beaver Rock, Maaroom, and Tin Can Bay.A fun and rewarding trip with great company and friends, and we were rewarded with good weather throughout our trip.Today, the day commenced with Maryborough 5 km parkrun in hot and humid conditions. Subsequently, I caught up with [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) in inner Maryborough for light sightseeing and a coffee, before then completing the *Jolly Brolly* series. It was then time for a few geocaches in western Maryborough, and then we circled from the north / via the airport to subsequently attend the [A Meet and Greet for the Southerners](https://coord.info/GCAF1AZ) event.
It goes somewhere. Elsewhere was nowhere to be seen.Freddo traveled north from deep south to catch up with friendly Liz and Bruce and the RV Home base crew. David Wazza provided a sturdy vehicle and we traveled in style. We had good weather. Not to hot. Not to rainy. Lovely one day and perfect the next. The caches were found in a blur of Which Is Next and Where Are We Going Now. Some caches were harder to find than others. Some caches we could see from the car. Regardless all caches were found in the last place we looked.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Wandered across the bridge and soon had the cache in hand - unfortunately the log is full but we didn't have a replacement with us. TFTC Liz and Bruce
An early morning cache find for us this morning. With good coords the hide was quickly spotted. The log is very wet and full. We squeezed our name at the top. Thanks Liz and Bruce for another good hide.
Alyce and I made a spontaneous trip to Maryborough and brought the 4 youngest along for the ride. Our goal for the day was to grab the Brolly that we solved recently, but we forgot to download the list and had no internet when we arrived, so we decided to head into town to clean up some caches instead.
It was an action packed day filled with adventures and fun times. The kiddies enjoyed the experience but grew tired towards the end of the day. All in all we all had a fantastic day exploring Maryborough at the surrounding areas.
Interesting spot to watch the traffic, but we weren’t here for that. After a brief search we spotted the hide and popped our name on the log. Unfortunately after replacing the cache I forgot their was a handrail above and I banged my head pretty hard on it and fell to the ground, whoops!!! I’m ok though, just a little dizzy
Thanks for bringing us here.

Nice and quiet here this our of the morning ... Had time to surch for the cache ..gotcha..We are staying in the van at the show grounds close by.
I am out today with Ian of Ian & Penny as my chauffeur to collect some more Maryborough caches and do the new AL.
I am not a fan of walking on bridges … but Ian ventured out with me and I made the find. Once the log was signed I have Ian the cache to return to its home and got off the bridge quickly!!! TFTC!

Out this way this morning, dropping of the caravan for a warranty check on the oven. Had breakfast nearby and walked to get this one to pass the time. All good and a busy morning on the Bruce.
Thanks Liz and Bruce for the caches.

Total Cache Finds 13959,
Found it! Super tricky and small! The coordinates were off as well. I thought it’d be hiding in a bolt but no.
A fortunate bit of forward thinking saw us look at this one in advance so we approached from the correct direction. A few minutes of searching turned this one up.
Day 3 in Maryborough. We met up with Ian & Penny for a morning of caching in the local area. A good time sharing with the upper echelons of cachers and a chance to further explore the local area. Some good finds and tough searches at times that resulted in a couple of DNFs.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Liz and Bruce.

Took the opportunity to get away for the weekend to Maryborough. The roads are busy so it was good to take a break here and there for a cache or two.

On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting & detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC Liz and Bruce

Well that took a while but we got there. Tricky hide with a great view of the traffic whizzing by, and another blank calendar day filled in. Thanks Liz n Bruce
Out on the bike again today, on another mission. A milestone find is looming today, so I need to plan my finds carefully. I was out nice and early chasing the ALs in town and it was nice and quiet at most of the places I visited.
Not quite so early now. A nice easy one to get to on the bike. The GPSr counted down perfectly to GZ here. [^]

With work over for the day, I inveigled M into going for a drive so we could find a few more of the caches around Maryborough. I searched for a while but the evening was drawing in and the structure was interfering with my GPS so back to the car went I. Then M showed me a previous log with a bit of a hint and we both went back to continue searching. It wasn't long before we'd discovered it.

We had a nice little walk in the sunshine this morning and found this one after a bit of a search. No muggles around to avoid as this was a very quiet spot although the highway underneath is always busy. Signed log and replaced as found. TFTC
Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that i can claim the finds or not as the case may be. TFTC.
04/07/21 Staying in Maryborough Camp site with Caravan and seeing the sights and grabbing some caches. I am on holidays from Mackay. Been to the Bond Store, Mary Poppins and Military Museum this morning. Great Day. Now caching. TFTC SL Contacted CO and have put a temporary logsheet in place, not magnetic.
I found this cache on a trip with Snickersallan, I thank all CO's for the time and effort putting out and maintaining the caches, all were enjoyed. TFTC
Day four of our visit to beautiful Maryborough and continuing to work our way through finding all the local and a few outer suburb caches. It was extremely overcast for the majority of the day but the compass never faulted and led us to every GZ without any hassles.
A pleasant walk to find this one, nice hide, thanks CO.

Being energetic geocachers we all travel roads to unexpected places. Some of these take us to 'the end of the road' some can take us many miles away. SL TFTC
Coongoola & Geodog found your cache today, 6 June 2021 2:02 pm , while enjoying another day out adding to our tally. Stamped with Coongoola or CG. TFTC Liz and Bruce
TFTC. We had attended the nearby event this morning. After heading into town to doo a Mob cache we returned here to do some caches. A short walk and cache was spotted. Thanks Liz and Bruce.
We've stopped off in Maryborough, and plan to base ourselves here for a few days, but sadly this is our last day before moving to a different camp site.

Headed to Hervey bay for my annual pilgrimage to see my daughters on their first day of school for the year. Lucky there's a couple of hundred of caches between Hervey Bay and home.
This was cache **43** of **70** All caches were found with ease and in good condition unless otherwise said, and I thank each of the Cache Owners for placing and maintaing these caches. I apologise for the generic logs, it doen't mean the effort has not gone unnoticed.
Nice easy rain whilst dodging rain.

27/12/20 14:24 was wondering how close that little platform in the middle of the railway overpass would be to the GZ that the iphone was pointing me towards. In any case I wasn’t going there. Found pretty quickly. Thanks for the cache Liz and Bruce
Tftc Liz and Bruce, sneaky little guy, found, GPS struggling with the surrounding structure.
Caching is so much more fun when someone else gets to drive. Meandered over here with Liz and Bruce this evening, as I’d failed to find the cache this afternoon. Seems I was searching on the wrong side of the overpass This time I found it within seconds Now we’re off to the Cricket Club for Turkish nosh and beer

Log was a bit in the damp side but managed to put my mark on it after having to wait for a jogger to pass
This cache took me wandering to a good spot to see progress on the Bruce Highway upgrade
Just as expected !!
What upgrade ??
To think that they have the cheek to call this a motorway
At least up here I was safe from the traffic ...
... unless a wayward truck hit the bridge support !! [:o]
That was enough to hurry me up and find this cache
C'mon !!
Where is it !! [:o]
A good 10 minutes of poking,
and I found the little bugger

In Maryborough today with Fairymother, my favorite caching partener, hopefully we will collect all the green boxes that have appeared since my last visit, some 6 months ago.
This one gave us some headaches, first off, we tried down below on the pylons, wrong.
Round the loop for another go, once in the cage, very crazy cords, all over the place, had to use the other GPS. after a bit, found it. All good
TFTC Liz and Bruce.

Raining off & on today but we still managed to find a number of caches.
This proved a very enjoyable way to visit your town & countryside.
The cars sped along underneath us as we searched for this cache. Who knows where they were going, NOT to VICTORIA that's for sure.
Thanks for placing this cache Liz and Bruce

Found on a nice Winter day for a drive around with Di Morgan and Aussie Liahona.
The main mission for today was the Geocaching 101 series.
Mainly good safe hides and not many muggles around here.
Cache condition is OK/good. I found it a fair way from my GZ also.
Thanks for the cache Liz and Bruce,

Always great to visit and catch up with cachers we have made friends with over the years.
Out again making the best of our time on day 2 in the area.

Made my way to GZ as per the GPSr and I was at 1 meter facing North and could not find it. Had to make a phone call and received some direction. Are you facing South? Went to the other side and started my search and the spot above the median seemed to fit the description and soon had the very clever container in hand. Sneaky hide. I was out early on my way south to Kilkivan and caching my way. I have 5 of my hides to maintain down there and 33 new ones to find Will be a good weekend. Signed log YOF TFTC

First find the way to get in to the cache site. Hmmm there's gotta be a way to get there surely. Next persuade the GPSr to behave under the canopy, and then find the cache itself. A ***FTF*** for us today and a lot of laughter. Cache duly signed on the blank logbook.
