Taking it easy with my leap year streak recently completed. My find count: 2175. Darkness around me, shall I easily find the heart of gold? Gotcha. Thanks Old Man Emu for giving this cache for everyone to discover.
Found this cache with EjsDad after grabbing cortez the killer. Nice find with the little goodies!
Today I headed out to Dural for the Amateur Radio NSW (HAM Radio) bi-monthly Trash & Treasure sale at the Quarry Road HQ site (VK2WI) and, after a fun filled morning of HAM radio junk scrounging and lots of friendly chit chat, stopped off for a few caches at Carlingford before heading off for an afternoon shift at Mascot airport. This was the 3rd of 3 finds for the day. This Traditional cache was next. Parked the geomobile in Lindisfarne Crescent, then walked around to the start of the bush track off Parkland Road. Followed the track down through the reserve and to the cache location, then a little scramble to reach GZ for a nice quick find. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Old Man Emu.Find #6841
Made a nice easy find here with goingplaces2 and both names were added to the log to record our visit. This one was quite well hidden. TFTC.
We were out cache hunting with ilook4geo and just doing a random selection for the day. This was one our interest happened to land on and it was only a short walk to make the find. Two more names were noted on the log and we were off again to make some more discoveries. Thanks for this cache go to Old Man Emu.
A little tricky to get to, but after clearing the spider webs looked around for likely spots and found it straight away. Log is dry, we just forgot to take pen and pencil - took a photo of it. TFTC!
Came close to GZ and looked around. I spotted a likely spot for a cache. It was a effort getting there but worth it.
This took a while for the kids to find, walking through cobwebs! Had a great time playing near the water nearby and finally spotted the location. Lots of fun, great hide!
Located at 6:14am. #1132.
Travelling through with the Brother Moishe.

Спасибо большое! Baruch Hashem! TFTC! Much obliged for the placement Old Man Emu!

After a night at Banky Sports club, celebrating a mates birthday, i drove home and checked on some caches on the way. This one looked good. Parked and walked in to make the easy find. SL and replaced. TFTC.
On an adventure with a visitor, and decided to pick up some caches on the way! Forgot to bring a pen, though. TFTC!
This was one for the intrepid Mr C! Great hide and another lovely track to explore tftc

A nice Covid safe walk in my local LGA. This was the fourth find of the day in a nice pocket of bushland in the Carlingford area. Descending down a slippery slope the cache was quickly spotted.

Found a couple in our area under 5 KS COVID-19 safe so went for a walk to exercise
Well that was fun!
Doing some linework on Lindisfarne we stopped for lunch. I decided to sus what was in the area and this was it
Waiting for my Gps to settle I looked at the obvious places.. I actually looked straight at it, or an inch next to it and completely missed it.
Went on looking in another obvious spot and when my Gps settled I thought I'd better go back to my original spot..
Sure enough I spotted it thought how silly that I missed it the first time.. Ha.

After Music with Rocks in, we headed to this one. Walked down to GZ, and from the D/T rating expected it to be a bit harder to find, possibly having to climb a tree or so, but no.
Stepped down a notch and quickly found some suspicious stones that did hide the cache container.

Down this way fixing one of my caches, I thought I would grab a couple. Spotted a likely spot from the other side of the water which seemed to match the terrain. But once I made my way down there, nothing to be found though it certainly matched the terrain. But it seemed it might not be above the flood height. So on the way back up I spotted another possibility and there it was. Thanks Old Man Emu.
Always like the reminiscences, these caches bring. The triple header with the International Harvesters, Crazy Horse and the East Street Band in 1986 at the Ent Cent ranks with the best concerts ever. Found myself here at night, not recommended, I know, but there I was with a good torch. The water was very close and that's a steep drop to it but I approached from a safer angle and found it without any precarious scrambling. Thanks Old Man Emu.
What an enchanting walk along the creek! I quite enjoyed this series of caches on a late afternoon cache expedition. I grew up with Neil Young and loved his soulful music.
Although I cam in from below and had a couple of false attempts, this was straightforward in the end.

Thought I had spotted the hide and it was chalk to access. Got there and no joy. But as I extracted myself carefully a much more interesting spot was visible and there it was CIF. TFTC SL TNLN.

A quick calendar find between other commitments.
Parked near the trail head, and made my way to GZ.
Quickly checked at a few likely spots but nothing. Then remembered the terrain rating here and adjusted my view. Actually spotted a likely hide from a distance away, so thought I'd try for that.
Almost walked into a huge spider's web - presumably containing a huge spider!
My I really needed to watch my footing here. Carefully made my way to the spot I'd espied - via a few cleared webs - and was rewarded with the find.
Completed signing duties and replaced. Then out the way I came. Just as I made the track a muggle and her dogs arrived. Top timing!
Nice placement and a pleasant view of the creek.
And I actually have been to Hollywood, and seen a Redwood, and crossed the ocean. Not sure I found a heart of gold on that trip, though. And about that getting old bit...
A favourite.

A nice and easy find for me today.
I went after this one before heading into work to help set up for an event this afternoon.
At the GZ i followed the clue and after checking a couple of places, spotted a likely hidey hole.
Thanks.

Returned with Oldmorty to the Carlingford area to tidy up unfinished business. This took a little longer than we had expected. Finally bit the bullet and adjusted level after reading terrain and were rewarded. TFTC!
OCW morty8888 on a perfect day for caching. We reached gz and read the hint and the terrain and scouted around hoping that we wouldn't have to go there. Not finding it morty8888 volunteered to go there, well he's younger, and he soon had the CIH.

I was up the central coast for work this morning and on my way back I wanted to make use of this beautiful weather and grab some caches on my way back to the office. Already found the ones nearby and now converted this into a smiley! need to wash the white shoes now haha, TFTC
Easy walk my ass! When your on the mark look down find that path and dig! Left a red lighter
After meeting up with others for coffee at Carlo Court, we decided a walk would be nice.
This well hidden cache was the first of two we encountered.
Good one, thanks Old Man Emu.

Well I've finally made it here.
I have been here before, dozens if not hundreds of times as I used to bring my dog here for a walk when I lived nearby and before I knew about geocaching. That was at least 10 years ago and things have changed a bit. You used to be able to park alongside the track entry, can't do that now, you used to be able to walk dogs here, can't do that now.
Just as well I hadn't brought the geodog!
So today I walked the track by myself. Wow its weed infested now compared to years ago. There used to be a very active bush regen group in this area.
It did look like some rehabilitation had just started, within the last week.
I found the area for the cache and made my way to a spot that looked hopeful and there it was! SL and replaced with camo.
I wouldn't like to do this in the rain!
The creek didn't look as nice as your picture OME, there was some sort of chemical run off in it today.
