Found by Mary and David at 10:23. Found after a brief search. A FP for the camo. Our thanks to skunk028.
Can I drive by a cache? It seems not. Better to stop and grab this to have found 2 caches in a new LGA. I stopped here and seemed to wander aimlessly for sometime before I spotted the cache. I swear it was smirking at my circle work TFTC skunk028Keep smiling
Cache was found after a short search. Thanks for the fun. Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumalated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Fryer's day the eighteenth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit windy today. It was so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Stopped here today on the way past, freddo made the find once on top of GZTravelling around Victoria with Freddo for a week finding caches as we go. With two challenges on our radar we were in full force. All logs signed with our names or F+g98 for the smaller caches. Thanks for the cache
18 May 2024 1:55 pm - 1st and only Find for the day. Find no. 1078. After visiting the old ones at inverloch for one birthday (his 91st) and their 67th wedding anniversary we needed to collect some soccer clothes which brought us to the prearranged swapover point. Last time we were here we were unsuccessful but eagle eyes miss 9 spotted something which turned out to be exactly what we were after while non geo son and miss 11 were rock hopping away over the other side. I'd come away without my tools so I was very happy I didn't need anything but a pen! Phew. Thanks for the cache.
Staying down at Cape Patterson for our annual camping trip. Last year we hired ebikes a did some of the Meenyin rail trail. This year we have our own ebikes and we have come to do more of this trail. We nearly ran over a small snake and a blue tounge lizard. The caches along the trail have been all very well maintained and interesting. On our way back to Cape we decided to stop and find this cache. Took a bit of looking but eventually we found it. TFTC
Fab day out on the coast exploring Funny looking crab Rolled up here for a quick find. Replaced the log, hope thats Replaced the tape. Put everything back where it belongs.TFTC skunk
By Kai, and Matilda, GEO Grandkids with Peter St 1523hrs, TNLN TFTC. Log is very wet and full.
Found! Same as others, we had to stop and reassess our search and boom there it was
Down on the coast for a small break. Very clever hide. Had me looking for a bit, but I spotted a likely item. Thanks for placing the cache. Which is taking me in these different areas.

Found at 11:44 AM GAFF5 in the company of xambo4u.
We had the completely wrong idea of what the cache was going to be and where it was going to be located, but after reading some logs we cottoned onto where to look and Robyn then found the guardian - but no cache A bit more rummaging and the container was found which appears to have been detached from the guardian.
Thanks skunk028.

Out and about with pprass while camping a Cape Patterson. Nice easy parking. Rummaged around the obvious. Yehh we found the guardian and then the container. Thanks for the cache skunk028
Having started my day meeting tiz13 for coffee at san remo bakery and then have the motorcycle grand prix at Philip island slightly stuff our plans up we readjusted the day starting on churchill island which was fantastic we then got out of there and headed to wonthaggi and found some very challenging caches so we ended up here for the last find hopefully for the day to which was frustratingly spotted after a pretty thorough search now ticked off the list. Tiz 4 kashbound 4 but the winner was geocaching and the places that it took us to, my best day out ever... TFTC and I'm over rocks
I was officially done with rocks today we must have had rocks in our head to attempt this but yes another redemption for Kashbound. We spent far too long trying to find this thing that looked out of place..eventually the cache guardian was revealed but not the cache..hmm it was at this point we both stood back scratching our heads. Kashbound then points and says what's that? Yep you guessed it the cache had magically appeared. So you could say we found it by accident lol.
Took me a few minutes to find this one. I looked under a few rocks, disturbed a huntsman and then stood back and had a look around the area.
Spotted something that needed further investigation which turned out to be the cache.
thanks for the hunt.

Oh I was scared to grab the thing that was sticking out to me and looked out of place
# 3 on today's trail. My heart sunk when I arrived at GZ, suspected I knew where to look but didn't know if I had the time for this one. Nearly gave up when I saw that sneaky clue. Another great hide, nice surprise as it wasn't the plain hide I was expecting. Trifecta of favs given
Found on a caching day out with gwd.aussie and d@geo. Look for cache to full gaps in the finds by hidden month calendar. Thanks skunk028
Didn't think it was here for a while, but than I spotted something else, which lead to sharon14 founding the cache.
Out caching with D@geo and sharon14
Thank you for the hide skunk028

Found on a caching day out with gwd.aussie and Sharon14. In the area concentrating on some caches hidden over the last year to fill gaps in the finds by hidden month calendar.
Probably took longer to find than it should have but thankfully gwd.aussie spotted something out of place and we were able to add ours names to the log.
Thanks skunk028

As much as it pains us to do so, this was a DNF. Perhaps we were over thinking or over looking but this one was not to be.
Oh well, onto the next one

#4487 We have done a hell of a lot of walking on our short holiday so far, so it was a nice change to spend a morning doing some park and grabs. The geohounds weren't that impressed though. Mrs BGF managed to locate the tricky hide here with another nice surprise lurking under its camoed exterior. TFTC skunk028.

Moving inland today - Cowes to Stratford, naturally with a number of short diversions and stops to get out and stretch our legs!
We have watched the ballet of many wind turbines across South Gippsland - should be more of it. Caught the crab quite quickly!
Thanks skunk028 for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

I spent ages looking for this one a few months ago. Today I decided to return and somehow managed to find it straight away! TFTC!
A nice quick find with n0w0rries.
On our way to Inverloch.
Thanks for the cute cache skunk028.

Thanks for the cute cache skunk028.
We always wondered how they farm wind. Do they grow it from seed? Clone it? Maybe hydroponics are involved. None the wiser for our visit today, but we did manage to add a few smiles here. Cute.
A long drive around South Gippsland with +Wife and our Muggle Mate, Pam.
The GeoMutts kept Pam company in the back seat. Lots of back roads and a beach or two visited before heading back home right on sunset.

On a bit of a mini road tour around the east side from Inverloch and this was the last one for the day. We found the creature which was surprising easy to spot and what it guarded. Nice cache. Thanks

So took the wife on a short break over Christmas and New Year, along with that came the mandatory lets find some caches each day.
Started just before Christmas down in Metung in Gippsland and explored the area as well as visiting the koalas on Raymond Island and the beaches of lakes entrance.
After that we spent a few days in Kilcunda and walked the George Bass trail as well as a visit to Philip Island.
A pretty great trip to relax over Christmas and New Year.
Ended up finding 50 caches and 3 new travel bugs as well as placing one... unfortunately I also had 8 did not finds which I think is a record for me.
The caches took me to some wonderful places as I got to see Koala's, Seals, Dolphins and heaps of spiders and creepy crawlies..
sorry for the generic log.
Thanks for the cache and the hide

Found one but its not. Searched also my time is run out, need go back to home. I will come back
Found with tassie expat. I'd almost given up on this one despite quickly finding the decoy guardian, but tassie perservered and found it. Tftc
Addit to frmen1's log: he'd already picked up the geocache, but hadn't realised it! He'd gone back to the car in resignation and I thought that something looked odd, even though he'd been there. An easy cache in the long run lol. TFTC
The weather was looking good , with restrictions lifted in regional Vic I headed to Inverloch armed with My mask and Sanitizer, I had a great day exploring the region, this is one of the caches I found today. a systematic search soon had it signed.
Thanks skunk028 for the cache.

Found it straight away very cool cache! Third visit and now we got it straight away TFTC
Another DNF after we have back AGAIN with geomum. We thought we understood the hint and maybe we do but just couldn’t find it. We turned over almost every rock and when we do eventually find it I will be very annoyed if it isn’t where we thought and we ended up wasting our time. Any hints?
I decided to give this a go as there was plenty of parking. I got there and thought oh no, this will be impossible. It wasn't. I found it very quickly. Thanks.
Been past a couple of times and workers there. Bonus no one today. Clue is good. Tftc
Omg how NOT to look suss parked here at night It was made all that harder by only being able to search intermittently via torchlight before rushing back to the car each time another vehicle went past. All good though, we got there in the end, and found the cleverly hidden cache. SL TFTC
At the nearby "A cache within a cache", I noticed a coordinate update log with the description of a yet-unreleased cache that the placement had moved for.
I initially interpreted it as the description of the new location for the pre-existing cache but after finding a significant lack of rock banks at that gz, I connected the dots and realised what it was actually referring to.
Considering that we had plenty of time on our hands, I figured it wouldn't hurt to give it a try using the information at our disposal in an attempt to snag an elusive pre-publication [FTF].
A problem that was becoming increasingly obvious was the fact that there were a lot of rocks in this rock bank. Like, a LOT of rocks.
Being in the vicinity of a power substation didn't assist the GPS signal to check for 161m boundaries either, so I tried looking on the side furthest away from the other cache in a desperate attempt to try and sort through these rocks somehow.
The following event led me to the conclusion that my caching luck for the next year has been used in its entirety when I managed to find the cache on the first rock I checked.
Never before and never again will I find a rock placement such as this one on the first go, so this was a rather joyous occasion indeed.
I unravelled the log to find no other names present and everything was replaced as found afterwards.
Thanks to skunk028 for the clever hide and inadvertantly taking us on a new adventure - FP added!

FTF gone, but not by us. We saw these published whilst we were out caching in Wonthaggi. We popped by in the dark on our way home and initially thought uh oh, looking for a needle in a haystack here. Luckily, the savvy geokid literally tripped over in an opportune spot and revealed the hiding spot. Thanks again for another fun cache Skunk028
