We noticed the difference fairly soon but then there was another twist. Nice handiwork that deserves a fave. Thanks andy.gail.
Managed to get this one undone thankyou to those who left it a bit looser this time. Cheers for the cache!
Came along here today with a local cacher, and quickly figured the hint. A very cleverly constructed cache, TFTC
Had looked for this one before but couldn't find it. Back a second time and a bit more methodically and it was an easy find. I probably just 'skipped' it. Anyway, finally found but then forgot to log immediately.
Aha a very clever hide, following the cache name and hint, I found and signed quickly.
A misty day so I don't get the view, but a short walk and a cool cache was worth the outing. Thanks very much!

Another classic gdguys cache Thought about the title and zeroed in on relevant object quickly. Deserves a FP. TFTC
Another clever gdguys cache. Fortunately I'd seen one like this before so a quick find and log. TFTC gdguys
Loved this one! Doing some rainy day caching while visiting family in Nelson and thought I’d knock this one out. Cool hide! TFTC!
Saw what had to be done as soon as I arrived at GZ. Yes, the views of the hills with snow on them would be wonderful.TFTC gdguys.
I was here a while back, but it was raining and I didn't get a good grip. I returned today and was able to get to the log, but with a little help from my friend from the toolbox. This seems to violate the tighty-loosy rule. Maybe this is how it was made more difficult by the PF. TFTC.
Have checked out this cache and found it required a bit of cleaning up and put a new replacement log in as well.
All good to go, and still NO tools required, just your skill.

OK Ive been here before but not sure what happenend. Parked close by and found the little blighter with NO Tools. Yeh right! Nah!! No way could I move the lid so had to get assistance from the tool box to break me in here. Tagged and put back in. Cheers.
With the weather looking better on this side of the divide than Marlborough , I headed over the hill for the CITO at Tahuna. Still lots of daylight after the event and with shopping sorte,d I went exploring for a few green boxes in the vacinity before returning home.. Thankfully the weather played ball. Met drizzle at Rai then the rains and wind descended as I was entering Picton. Glad to be home.

On a west coast adventure and on our way to Nelson for a few days . My first time to travel up the west coast of the south island In 20 years so this time we get to cache our way in to uncharted territory, so let's see what fun adventures awaite us bring it on.
Day five of our road trip , to day we are exploring the Nelson area ,let's see what fun adventures awaite us.
This was one we worked out a while ago and we have made our way north to see how many caches from our list we can find .
So here goes. Pick this one up along the way .
I had no trouble with this one as my engineering brain was on duty today so I didn't have to wake up my big tow
Life is short. Live one foot step at a time.Never say" I'm gonna "- Just do it!!
Thanks for the hide

TFTC. A few days in Nelson so it is only right to find some caches in this lovely part of the country. Thank you for the clever cache.
Car needed a new windscreen. I was told to come back in 1 and 1/2 hours. So it was off for a walk. My unfounds in Richmond are pretty thin but this one still needed a signature so off I set.
Quickly found where this one was hidden. Very nicely done. Able to claim 1130m towards the DGSc distance challenge. Thanks for the cache.

A great little hide, very clever. Thanks for the cache. Took a little bit of time to centre on the cache, but i knew what i was looking for when i finally did.
Family holiday time...a couple nights Kaikoura, a couple Picton & finish off in Nelson.....
Kaikoura and Picton done...time for a couple nights in Richmond with family.
Quick find and sign on the way past. Thanks.

Awesome cache. Took us a bit of searching but we got there. Thanks so much for the effort you put into your caches. Well deserving of a favourite.
Couldn't get it open in the heavy rain - should have taken up golf, we suck at this geo-thing!
As we have come to expect from these CO's a clever hide - A good one for Stretch0 's 4000th cache !!!! log signed - thanks for the cache
Wow finally made it just hit 4000 with this cache . I pulled up at this one studied the description so knowing who the CEO was and thought I remember conversation years ago I so had a look around till i spotted what i needed just open was the next step and that didn't take too long thanks for the cache and the milestone .
Quick find while out for our walk around Richmond. We always enjoy gdguys caches, always a twist. Thanks for the cache
Once I got here I had a pretty good idea of what it would be, but it still took a couple of minutes to spot that little something that wasn’t quite right. TFTC gdguys, another great cache.
A short trip for some local caches while RG1972 went out for a run. So I drove around for an hour or so and got some nice caches including a former DNF. Thanks all.

I've found enough of the COs caches to know what to do when I located the cache. Another extremely well crafted cache here and with great parking as a bonus. Another favourite to add to the list. TFTC # 15,841
I really do look forward to caches by gdguys, they always have a sinister thread to them. This one was no disappointment, beautifully engineered. SJT-NZ and I got the prefect parking spot and had log in hand, signed and replaced in no time. Thanks once again for a lovely cache.
We knew what to expect with this one so managed to park the car in a spot that gave us good cover for the retrieve. Another simple yet beautifully crafted cache - as we have come to expect from this CO. All in good order, signed the log and replaced as found. Another well deserved FP. Thanks for the cache.
We came over for a daytrip to attend the International Geocaching Day Community Celebration Event and to start our Wonders of the World collection with the intention of collecting a few lab caches aswell. We had this cache on our list as a backup Great Wall of China and even though we had already picked it up the favourite points intrigued us so we couldnt pass this without stopping. As soon as we saw GZ we knew exactly where to look as we have seen this style of hide before but this one was VERY tight. It just so happened we had something in the car that was perfect for removing the lid and we soon had the log signed. Dropping in a favourite aswell. Thanks for placing this cache and adding to our smilies
For a change it was me who found and opened this clever cache, I don't think I've opened one before since I always designate Hazedarus to do it. As always I wish I had even just a wee bit of the CO's ingenuity and ability.
Thank you gdguys.
Thank you gdguys.
On a new fence I always considered these ratchets the easy way out. No8 wire ties beautiful knots too and so does high tensile. Maybe I'm old fashioned They do serve a purpose though and make excellent caches The CO kept to his high standards so a customary fav. Thank you gdguys
Caching with Sidewaze. On the way home from an (initially cold) Wednesday morning bike ride which was warmer on the return journey that the going. Soon warmed up though, then went and located this cache. TFTC
Another "it's not about the numbers but then maybe it is " find, gradually trying to get my finds up to a minimum of 8 per calendar day. We dropped by here after our Wednesday bike ride. A few people didn't like my parking, I did notice a much better spot a little way past the cache but hey, why does everyone have to race everywhere?
I remembered that gdguys puts a different twist on anything he machines so we soon accessed the log and signed on the dotted line.
Thanks for another well-crafted hide.

This is clever! I'll keep my log short well, because I just need to get to the point - Favourite point. Thanks gdguys.
Heading out with Mr Marchwood. For him, numbers and statistics matter. He informed me I needed one find for a milestone and said I should go the the fence strainer first.
I told him Mr Guy has one set of tap and die. That proved correct.
So now I know what Mr Guy did with his lock down time. Nicely done.
Signed log, thanks for cache.

I needed a find after work today. Somehow I hadn't noticed this one get published. Once again the CO hasn't let me down with his caches however I managed to bust it. Thanks for another clever cache gdguys

Sorry having a bit of a problem with this one, will machine a new one, won't be long and be back, good as new
Mrs with the GPS found the likely area and SoBad then spotted the likely spot for the cache. It took longer to return than find but with a bit more care it was safely left for the next finder. Third and last cache on the way to get fruit and vegies. We also add a favourite point.
Thanks.
Thanks.
It is not often I notice when we are about to reach a significant number, but as I was looking at project g-c the other day I realised we were about to find our 5000th traditional cache. So I thought I would look for something a bit special to make the find memorable.
Well I came to find this one last night and very quickly identified where I needed to be. It was getting dark by the time I arrived here and I guess it was the workers heading home that provided the fairly constant stream of traffic whizzing past. I had a bit of a fiddle but could not open it. I rang a previous finder and she confirmed I was at the right place and trying to open the correct thing.
It was really too dark to see what I was doing so I left it and went and found another nearby cache.
I woke during the night thinking about this cache with an idea of what I should try.
So I returned after work today and tried what I had thought about during the night. But that was not working either, so I went to the car and rang GK, thinking that he could call by on his way home from work and open it. Then I spotted a box of rubber gloves that were in the car, (left over from covid-19) so while talking to GK I went and wrapped one of the gloves around the cache and slowly it started to move. Once it started the rest was easy. Makes me think how weak my fingers are, that initially I could not get it started.
Anyway all is well as it ended with our signature on the log book and our 5000th traditional cache a memorable one.
thanks for this well engineered cache and thank you for the smiley, this must get a favourite point from us, firstly for how well made it is and secondly because of our milestone

Found with Ulmuslynx on this cold Nelson morning.
Wasn't long before we spotted the cache. We knew what we had to do
Thank you guys for the cache

Out and about for a couple of hours to slowly tick our cache find up to a nice round number. This was find number 4992 and we almost missed it. We were heading down the main road towards Three Bros Corner when I suddenly remembered that this had just been published a couple of days ago. We were just approaching White Road so headed up that and along Patons to grab this cache. After parking the car we let the phone lead the way and soon we were just a couple on metres from the cache. Sorry to disappoint but we spotted it immediately as we use these items ourselves so knew just what to look for. Andy made quick work of retrieving the log and I signed it off for an equally quick return to it's home. All in good order and thanks for another good cache.
Got home to day and checked my email and found a new cache just 554 meters away. Quick walk down the road this will be easy. Opened the door stepped outside and down came the rain back in side and listen to the thunder and lightning. Think I’ll get this one tomorrow.
Off to day to get the cache this will be easy. As I walked I read up on the cache and discovered its a gdguys cache so that’s going to make it interesting. Arrived at the cache found it quite quickly as I had seen one similar before but not so well made. As with all gdguys caches it took me a bit of thinking to open it. Fantastic cache well made it gets two thumbs up from me.

Nice one! I took an afternoon break and a short drive out to see if I could find this cache. It took me a bit longer than I thought it would to spot what I needed to spot. Another clever cache construction - with a twist. TFTC, Biggles.
With time before an appointment in Richmond I thought I’d take a wee detour to this new gdguys cache to see what I could see.
Whilst I contemplated whether I was in the right place or not my GPS settled and I figured I was as close as I was likely to get.
Hmmm quite a few possible hiding places but which one?
If geocaching has taught me one thing, it’s to fiddle with things that you wouldn’t normally fiddle with. Yes, there you are!
An excellent nano with a twist.
Thanks gdguys

Well...that was a bit of fun. A bit wet but I had to go out to the shops anyway and it would be silly to pass up a freshly made gdguys container, wouldn't it?.
Finding the hide didn't diminish my expectations. Another brilliantly engineered cache.
