As I searched for the cache, I knocked it out of place. Fortunately, there was no 'PLOP' since it just hit the ground. TFTC.

The going is good and it's not hot this early in the morning. Very few people on the trail so a good time to cache. Another fairly easy find. tftc#7044

Had some spare time en route from Picton to Kaikoura due to the ferry berthing early so decided to score a few unfound caches on the way. Walked up the cycleway from Grovetown and collected another cache on the way. The law of perversity ruled here - there were four areas to search and the cache was in the last of the four. Signed log, TFTC.

The ride continues 3/3 hard, but goodThanks

I was out and about with Kiwimykl this afternoon picking up caches that were smileys or stars on his map but greenies on mine, deliberately leaving those that were green on both our maps for a future challenge. The aim of this outing is to increase my tally towards the hard souvenir in the latest GCHQ challenge (1000 point required, this is worth 10). This was my ninth find of the day and required a 700m return walk from where we parked the geomobile.

The cache was easily found in good condition.

A nice quick find on a wander from the car. Thanks for placing your cache.

Ms_KR and I cruised around today, picking up the odd cache on our journey. The weather was good most of the day, and so far the ferry journey is going well.

Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. .

Its a magical day so headed to Grovetown Lagoon for the day. But need a cache this weekend for Blue Swithch day. So stopped off at this wee bridge, on my way out of town to get this one snagged and tagged. Cheers

A really nice bike ride along here with a tail wind! Cheers

On a trip south from Tauranga. Been cycling around when we can. Love it down here. Camped up for the night nearby. Heading north again. Thanks for bringing me here.

I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Logged with permission. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Went down a side road so we

This cache was found on a bike trip in Blenheim . It was found with my wife on day three of our eight day holiday in Marlborough based at Picton.

19-Jan-21
We decided to spend the day in Blenheim. We brought along our bikes. We're on our way back to the parking spot.
JDScout and I are spending a week in Picton. We have spent this week exploring Marlborough and finding a few geocaches. Thanks Arandee for creating this hide. It was find 9479 for me.

We were in Blenheim for what we had hoped to be a fishing weekend. With rods, whitebait nets and high hopes we were full of anticipation. We had not planned for the wind which is less than helpful when trying to see tiny fish in murky water. Needless to say we did not have a terribly successful fishing trip. But any trip away is better than a day at work. We found a few caches before heading home much earlier than was originally planned.

This cache caused us quite a bit of grief, we searched in all four corners looking for where a magnetic cache could be, gk was lying in the muck looking under the bridge in case it was there. We even resorted to sending a message to the last person who logged that they found it, we had no reply, which is perhaps not surprising.

Eventually gk located the cache, he ended up leaving some DNA as it was much harder to retrieve than a 1.5 but we are sure that is not a reflection on the CO. We replaced it where we found it (but easier to retrieve) and popped a couple of rocks in front of it. So when the next finders go looking they will spot where to look. Hope this is okay with the CO, but I am sure you did not intend people to have to cram their hands into a tiny gap as gk did.

Thanks for the cache and thank you for the smiley.

I was Geocaching with my Mum. It was a sunny windy day. By India

02-Oct-20
After a wee wander around Pollard park to get my first adventure lab.... I headed out this way for a walk along the cycle path. Pretty quiet today (except for the 10 minute wait at the bridge)....so managed to grab the cache without being muggled by cyclists.

We always consider a geocaching trip over the hill worthwhile if there is the possibilty of getting double figures but of course have often 'hopped across' for less. The double figure criteria was easily fulfilled today so off we go.
A previous visit here was unproductive due to a persistant dog walking muggle plus a bitterly cold wind so our enthusiasm waned. Today we had no issues with muggles or wind and a very quick find was made.
Thank you Arandee.

We just don't like a lot of colour variation if it comes to our geo-map. We prefer yellow smiling back at us. Although not set in concrete we have some rules before deciding to go over the hill and numbers need to make it worth our while. At some stage we were chasing FTFs and the rules were bent a bit resulting in the Raiders series Big Grin Today the numbers looked good and we hadn't been visiting for a while so off we went. We rated our chances high. No muggles in sight, no dogs and the sun was shining. I checked one side, Holymu the other. Holymu won and a blue frowning smilie was turned into yellow. Thank you Arandee

Out on a ride on geocycle-r gathering up the last of the Ancient Wonders. This gives me the Lighthouse of Alexandria. Found the container on the second corner I looked at. Returned as was.

No, not that wee bridge, another wee bridge. Found after a short stroll along the bike trail. TFTC Smile.

Spotted this camoed mint tin in the gravel quite close to the water after we had searched all four corners. Tucked back under but its probably not where it had originally been - sorry. TFTC # 15,675

2 of the SIS started to walk the track while the driver looked for a better place to park. We crossed one wee bridge but went on to another. Mrs SoBad made the comment that the driver would probably arrive and find the cache although we had a head start. That proved correct but then we looked for a magnetic small and she found a non magnetic micro. A day of mainly short walks like this one but the distance added up to indicate a respectable level of exercise for the day - and a total of over 30 caches.
Thanks.

Still stuck in Blenheim so trying to make the most of it. Hired a bike so that I could go a bit further out of town and collect some more smileys. Started with the cycle track up to Spring Creek. Didn’t take too long to spot this one. Nice camouflage. Thanks

A busy day for me, first a WOF for my boat trailer, then said boat was delivered to friend Admiral Andy in Picton for the wiring of some nav lights and the fitting of an auxiliary bracket.
Then a day in Picton checking out the marina, helping re-mast his yacht and a final walkthrough of my adventure lab.
I placed a bonus cache, shared some lunch and grabbed a couple of caches on the way home before the arrival of RG1972 and a dinner date at a restaurant and a visit to the touring Tiny Pub.
The cache was easy, just an easy few hundred metre stroll down this path that I know very well from numerous cycle trips. TFTC Arandee.

A drizzly Friday morning - let’s go and find a few caches! Nice little hide - found on the second pass. TFTC!

24-Jun-20
This was to be our last find for the day. We found some new and some old, had one DNF and a very enjoyable event. Maybe the muggles and the icy wind put us of our game.

11-Jun-20
Always good to have a stroll of a few hundred metres, esp after some park n grabs. Great day fort a walk today, shame work gets in the way sometimes.

With a plan to get the last 2 Paolob72 Puzzle solves later I swung by to grab the 3 newly listed Arandee caches too. Another three well coordinated and hidden caches with good hints and write ups. Nice.

With my future Marlborough caching days rapidly diminishing, and a couple of upcoming road-trips to leave me with little available time to clear the area out before I leave. After a blah morning at work I decided I had some bank admin to resolve and extend my lunch break too.
Headed out later for the last 2 RCR caches and as the wind picked up a couple of cache finds blew through and increased my Marlborough yield.

{FTF} at 9.53pm. I was part way through my Tuesday evening shift at a local supermarket enjoying the freedoms of Covid-19 Alert Level 1, when the email for this listing came through. Based on what happened to this CO's other new listings last night, I was not that confident of the listing lasting until my shift was over but never-the-less, optimistically placed a watch on the cache anyway.

Eventually my shift finished, (albeit a little latter than usual thanks to the customer who decided to bring their fortnightly grocery shop to the checkout right on closing time), and there had been no FTF notification on the cache. Driving to the northern access to the cycleway, it was only a five minute walk to GZ passing over another bridge which was the site of another of my FTFs on this cycleway. Once there, I quickly determined there were four likely locations for the cache. Needless-to-say I needed to look at all four before the cache was finally in hand. I then had to complete the field puzzle of reassembling my writing implement which had fallen apart in my pocket during the evening before signing the log in the prime position.

Although I don't need the FTF to continue my monthly FTF streak, (Covid-19 Alert Levels 4 and 3 put paid to that), my other target of getting a Project-GC badge upgrade for FTFs means this one still warrants a FP.

I saw the email notification of the new cache come out but, frankly, I could not be bothered. For some stupid reason I know not I was with the rest of the flat watching the Edge on TV with the sound muted. Music I do not like, without the music. After a while I realised this is just silly and decided to hit the sack. That was about 10pm. Then I saw this email again. Oh what the heck, why not. Check the logs - no find. But actually there was, I just had not refreshed the details. So I headed out. It's a cold night, I have no jacket or anything, just a shirt. Oh well, it's not like there is ice on the ground. Nice clear night, Jupiter still visible near the moon. No torch, dammit. I used the cellphone main screen as a torch, rather than its torch function, to walk down the path. And every time I flipped the phone over to check the distance to GZ, I got a massive case of night-blindness and had to stop until my eyes readjusted. Once at the bridge the cache was a fairly easy find, and I see that Kiwimykl got here 20 minutes before me. Do I really want to claim the find? Should I reserve this cache for some calendar project? Nah - now's good. Signed the log and strolled back to the car.
