Quick stop on our way home from Bright, having done Bungalow spur as part of GSER Ultra Marathon. I didn't have time to stop and sign the caches last time I was here..hoping to get back up here for an overnight hike to get the rest of the caches.
Up bright and early today we were out the door well before 9am! Today we were concentrating on Snomo caches and any others we came across. We had solved the clever snomo caches in bits and bobs since they were published, down to a stubborn few which we then solved on a girls puzzle night The first cache happened to be a Traditional and GMelbs GPS was really leading him on a merry dance so it was the phone that homed in on this cool cache! I then recognised it as one of the caches in the Geocaching Video on the Harrietville website! Very appropriate figure attached to the cache and interesting reading and photos on the cache page! Overnight visit to Mt Hotham working with the old man. Family came along for the ride. Actually, our first time up here - drive up - is nothing short of amazing. After a bit of lunch at the nearby pub we headed over to the park for the kids to have a play. Drove over to this one, would love to walk Feathertop one day. Cache all good. TFTC!
Found it! After a girls own adventure on the Tronoh Dredge, we drove over to this cache to find it and reminisce about walking down from Feathertop. Quite a few years ago Muggle Heather and I walked across the Razorback to Mount Feathertop and camped overnight at Federation Hut. It was quite and adventure. The next day we walked done Bungalow Spur. As we arrived to our destination we were welcomed by a chorus of kookaburras to mark our achievement. At this point we had just enough energy to make it to the nearest pub where we enjoyed a cold beer whilst waiting for Muggle Wen and John to pick us up. That was a real adventure!! Thanks Ronice for all the fabulous caches for us to find on our adventurous week in Harrietville! This cache was a quick find and is in excellent condition!
I came to Harrietville, with my mate, Bemused Keith, to attend some events tomorrow. After setting up our camp, we ventured out to gather some caches. This one brought us to a lovely spot, where the Bungalow Spur Track heads up the hill. A quick search, using the hint, located the well planned container. Thanks Ronice88
Those early pioneering women must have faced more hardship than we ever will! Great story and Ronice would have made a great pioneer. Out with weirdobiker in the spectacular Harrietville area. The weather has been superb, perfect caching weather.Ronice88 thank you so much for luring me here with your imaginative, creative, educational crazy puzzles and caches. Have really loved my journey solving and finding your Snowmo & F.L.A.K.E series. Love your visuals and story telling to bring your caches to life.regardskbucky
Found. A quick easy find with a Ronice88 trademark themed container. Extracting the log book was the most difficult thing, it had been replaced sideways and was very hard to get out, a lot of pulling on the bag and it was finally extracted. Replaced lengthways but it may still be a little difficult later on as the log is now well and truly curved. TFTC
Start of Feathertop walk today with a brand new shiny geocacher Findingmyfeet.
TFTC!

Fantastic container! Log was damp, though, so my pencil wouldn't leave a mark.

It was a ripper sunny day so I decided to go for a stroll up to the top of the big hill to see if my recent booster shot had affected me….turns out it affected me a lot.
This was the first cab off the rank, and I have to say it was not what I expected, a clever little hide that fits the theme. Only every so slightly damp but still able to be written on.
Now, off into the land of the never ending up…

Found it, whilst getting bitten by lots of mozzies. Now inspired to go on big walks.
I am out for a couple of days with the outdoor education students from work. We camped at Fed Hut last night, after yesterday walking along the Razorback track. Today we are walking down the hill to back to Harrietville. I had the job of walking at the back of the group, so had time to stop and find the caches on the way. What creative caches have been placed, and with informative info too. Thanks for the time and effort to place this cache here Ronice88.
Loved the back story and the cache - a favourite for sure! Great historical vignette TFTC!!
This is one of the best I have found! Hopefully no one will use it up the spur! Tftc
Fun little hide, nice and easy with parking close to it for those that don’t want to walk.
Thank you for the cache.
Found with Mango Mermaid, love you baby

There are just too many clever containers. I made an assumption with this one and ended up at the wrong spot. After finding nothing I adjusted my direction and the cache was discovered
Our last cache in Harrietville this afternoon before we take a maintenance run up Mt Porepunkah. A nice easy find after reading the interesting cache notes. SL at 2.35pm #7658 TFTC Ronice88 and the fun time on a hot summers day in Harrietville.
BettyBoo3747 and I loaded up the deadly treadlies and set off for Harrietville.
We started with the H2B series and then the AdLab, and a few others around town.
Where did you find that container? I haven't seen one of those for a very long time.
Great photos and information.
Thanks, Robmc.

#17752. The coolest day of several hot days coming up so Robmc and I took the bicycles to Harrietville for some riding and cache collecting. An absolutely fantastic day collecting 16 caches plus the new Adventure Lab and riding 30km around town. Most enjoyable and it was nice to be back in a little village I first visited many moons ago and that I like a lot.
Favourite point for the brilliant container. The log sheet was floating around inside but we have now folded it and put in back within, where we think is its appropriate place. I am sure you can check it some time to make sure we did it right. Loved this hide. And, what amazing, adventurous women way back then.
Thanks Ronice88

Well I read so many of those girls own adventures as a child . They probably helped shape my own life. I’ve never been as adventurous as these women, but they do inspire people to do things out of their ‘normal’ rut, like go out geocaching and find caches like these. The cache itself is ingenious! It took me a few minutes to find the log. Very clever. We took the opportunity to drive a bit further along the track, not that there’s much more except a good view of the Valley.
Yes! Found it.
Found while spending a long weekend doing the Feathertop with my daughter.
Thanks for the cache!

Nice one, thank you Ronice88.
Found by Mrs Riddell on a girls weekend in Harietteville.
Mrs Riddell enjoys a good old trek so appreciated this cache.
A fav point for a thoughtful and well constructed themed cache.
We were having a catch up after our trek in Patagonia this time last year before Covid 19.
So this was indeed a girls Adventure.

Happy New Year
Out and about with the whole OSHFAM clan on board except geo dog Roxy and Babcia who stayed behind in the van in Porepunkah. After a few marvelous days of sunny weather, today it was not to be with the skies full of heavy clouds and lots of rain pelting down on us. It did not stop our enthusiasm for finding some caches today.
When we arrived to GZ there was a muggle family nearby reading the map inside the shelter so we had to wait until they moved on. GZ was isolated quickly and the kids made a very interesting find here. The log sheet was in good condition/dry but we weren’t sure if there was meant to be a cover or not and we couldn’t see one dropped on the ground anywhere.
Thank you for the cache here Ronice88

Waiting for someone to come off bungalow track and thought to do a few geos.
Had to wait for a few muggles to get out of the area.
FYI cool cache recommend it

I hate to say this, but a muggle has used the log to do a log. I’m afraid that was enough to turn me off.
Went armed with a shovel due to previous log - PHEW - close inspection revealed muggle animal scats. Nature playing tricks
Great and innovative hide, I was holding it still searching with our girls. Tom, Hayley, Claire and Aimee
In all are travels we would not have even thought to traveled to this location.
(Ha Ha). In your dreams, these cachers do.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

It was easy but we live right next to it so I’m surprised we didn’t find it by accident
I though I remembered a cache was meant to be around here, went looking before I even checked the app as there were a couple of obvious spots, the cache was quite a surprise, really interesting, thanks
DeamM5, Hairy Panic and I were inspired by an adventure company advertising a camp out in the snow. I said why don’t we just do something ourselves? The guys said let’s do it! The rest is history and so our plans were made to hike up to Mt Feathertop today.
I sourced all the gear required to reach the top and we decided to make our way up today.
Of course I checked the area for caches and noticed a handful of FTFs along our trail, what a bonus surprise!
We set off from Wangaratta early so we could make the most of the day, and we were on Bungalow Spur by 8am.
The morning was icy cold but the climb helped warm us up. A stop here and there for the other caches along the trail as well as the 3 new ones. Loved all the creativity that’s been put into them all as well!
We were quite shocked to see how little snow was on the ground as we made our way to the top. Almost all of the Razorback was snow free and even large parts at the summit were exposed grass and rock. Very strange for this point during winter! We didn’t even require our special equipment to reach the top.
The descent was straight forward and we were quite pleased with our efforts. The bonus caches along this journey had been a welcome addition so thank you for all your efforts in putting them out for us to find.
This was our first find of the day and HP scored it while we were still getting gear out of the car which was parked opposite to it.
